Joel - Concordia Commentary

by Thomas Nass

A book in the Old Testament, the Book of Joel offers as its central theme a call to repent in preparation of the "day of the Lord." Joel tells of an invasion of locusts and famine as a warning to Judah to repent and be saved. In Joel - Concordia Commentary, author Thomas Nass provides scholarly commentary on Joel, drawing upon decades of experience as an instructor and professor of Hebrew. Each book in the Concordia Commentary series is meant to assist pastors, missionaries, and teachers of the Scriptures to convey God's Word with greater clarity, understanding, and faithfulness to the divine intent of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek text.

Absolutely beautiful and thorough commentary on this little prophetic book - Nass misses no chance to teach and to explore the themes and questions throughout. Readers can't help but leave this book feeling encouraged.

Locusts, locusts, locusts.

Great content. Maybe a little more Hebrew in the reprint though?
