The least experienced in his family, King Lysander watched as his father and two brothers died away on the battlefield with their accomplishments. The support and confidence of the nobility dwindled, but it was the people who suffered for Duzali’s capitulation. Thousands have died, and the people struggle to hold what is left of their way of life. Reaching an unfavorable set of terms for the Kingdom, what remains of the military is barely salvageable. But there are some who survived the conflict, this is one of their stories.

The Kingdom of Duzali has been at war for 60 years. The best friend of the current King, Archduke Jago Redonte, has a large army going against the demon, Forcas, on the field of battle. How hard could it be to take the demon down? In this battle there will be a winner and a loser. Which one comes out on top?

This is a short story. It is fast paced and beautifully written. I want to read more of the story. Bring on the next book

Let me start by saying wow! The word choice in this story is phenomenal. The world building was crazy and I love the biblical background and the imagery I got from reading. This dark medieval fantasy will blow you away making you want to read more. It’s a very quick read leaving you wanting to know what happens next and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. I recommend this short and fast read!
