Isn’t it just the best when you read a book and fall in love with not only the characters but the places too?
That happened for me in the Costa Family Christmas Series. I would love it if we could actually go to Hawk Ridge Hollow to ski, shop, grab a bite to eat at Costa’s Pizza and Pie, and enjoy the Winter Wonderland the small town turns into for the Christmas season.

Tommy and Merry have an adorable second-chance romance with a dash of forced proximity, some pizza, pie, laughs, and swoon!

We need to talk about Bruno—can we just say, swoon?! I absolutely love the unique way Gloria and Bruno (or Bryan’s 😉) story unfolded. Fantastic chemistry all the way from beginning to end, fun Costa family shenanigans, and the cutest love story.

Luca and Ivy have such a fun, grumpy/sunshine, forced-proximity story with a touch of suspense.
Luca is ex-military and quite the hermit while Ivy finds herself in a dangerous predicament and stumbles upon Luca’s property when trying to get out of the cold.

You do not want to miss the flirty, hot-shot brother, Gio, and his story! Joy is Frankie’s (the baby sister of the family) best friend in this fun read.

I'll just say that there is a wonderfully unexpected surprise when it comes to mysterious Paulo. No spoilers here! This is a whirlwind of a second-chance romance that is just completely cozy, fun, and sweet!

Nico might just be my favorite Costa! This is a Cinderella-inspired story with such a cinnamon roll, adorkable MMC and Nico and Hope’s whole story is so sweet and fun!

This series is overlapping the same time frame from each of brother’s perspectives in these short and sweet novellas, and I loved them.
This new set of all six books is definitely worth an add to your Kindle to sneak in some festive reads in between the business of the incoming holiday season!

1. Tommy & Merry and the Twelve Days of Christmas

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Merry and Tommy’s points of view

Review:
I really enjoyed this sweet romance 🥺😍. I loved being able to relate to Merry comparing herself to another girl. I loved Merry’s Christmas spirit and her wish. I loved Tommy’s personality and how he pulled Merry out of her shell to be herself again. I loved the Costa family (and that we get the rest of the brothers finding love in this series!) and how accepting they were of Merry. Some of the scenes I really liked in this story included: a baking/cooking lesson, family get togethers, sibling ribbing, and a stakeout.

Summary:
Merry wants to open a pie shop and is directed towards the only open storefront in her small town by one of her well-meaning buyers. She was just looking to decide if it’s the right fit for her. But instead of getting time to consider, the owner throws her for a loop. He insists that she go into business with the other person who wants to rent the place or neither of them can have it at all. And she has to decide before they all leave their meeting. It’s not even like her shop would sell the same things as the other renter, he’d sell pizza. The only thing in common would be in name: pie. How can Merry decide on such short notice? Especially when the other renter would be her college best friend and crush who she hasn’t talked to in forever?

Tommy needs something to keep his parents out of trouble (read: something that keeps them from sending their life savings to someone claiming to be a Liegerian prince) and will bring the family together. After some thought, the oldest Costa convinces most of his siblings to join him in creating and running their own pizza place. That is, once they secure a building. When he arrives to see the only available shopfront, Tommy is surprised to find Merry there. Merry had been his best friend and someone he hoped to keep in his life, so much so that he created a marriage pact with her all that time ago. When the owner of the shopfront tells them to rent the place together or they can‘t have it, Tommy has more than one reason to want Merry to say yes.

Can Merry and Tommy have their pies and eat them too? Or will something or someone keep them apart like they did back in college?

2. Bruno & Gloria and the Five Golden Rings

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Gloria & Bruno’s point of view

Review:
I enjoyed this story even more than Tommy & Merry’s! Gloria and Bruno were such a great fit together and I enjoyed the drastic change between their blind date and the next morning at work. It made it very interesting to me, especially since Bruno instigated it and Gloria tried various ways to get him to crack after seeing a few signs that he may not have really meant what he had said that first day of work. I also grew to really like Nico and wanted to see more of him, even though he was kind of crushing on Gloria. (Why is Nico the last book of this series?!?😢) Some of my favorite scenes included: the hand, the five ‘golden’ rings, Costa siblings meddling, Gloria’s workplace décor war, and Ma’s comments.

Summary:
When Gloria is unexpectedly dumped, she feels the need to go somewhere else to start over. The only place she considers is the place that could make her feel closer to her father: Hawk Ridge Hollow. Her father had always talked about his time there as a kid and how he wanted to bring Gloria and her brother there one day. But he passed before he had the chance. Now, Gloria is taking the reins of her life into her own hands and looking for the happiness she thought she once had. Even if it means going to a town she’s never been to and signing up for a blind dating app.

Bruno had his heart shattered when his last girlfriend broke his trust and does not want his family trying to set him up with someone new. So he signs up for a blind dating app in hopes of finding someone he’d be willing to bring to family functions as a fake date. He doesn’t expect to start falling for the girl he meets based on her choice of dessert, but some things just can’t be planned.

Neither Gloria nor Bruno leave that blind date with regrets, in fact they are both thrilled with the connection they had. But the next morning changes everything. That’s when Gloria finds out that not only is Bruno her boss, but that he acts very different than he did the night before. It’s like her ex all over again. Bruno decides to close himself off from Gloria the best he can, as he believes that relationships should not mix with work.

But with the already established mutual interest, the close quarters of their workspace, and the pokes they throw at each other, it’s only a matter of time before they drop their walls once again in favor of the love brewing between them…

3. Luca & Ivy and the Four Calling Birds

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Ivy & Luca’s points of view

– a character is being chased by someone dangerous

Review:
I loved that we got more of Mrs. Costa and her no-nonsense attitude! She was great for random spots of laughter and in serious moments too! I also loved seeing Frankie and her family a bit more with them living next door to Luca! It was sweet to see Luca with his niece and nephew 🥰. I loved that Ivy saw through Luca to the heart of his problems and that she was able to wake him out of the funk he’d been living in. Here’s some of the other things/scenes I really enjoyed in this story: Mr. Marshmallow, Uncle Santa, Luca’s protectiveness, Luca’s dog, Ivy trying to compare Luca’s changed personality with fictional characters, and decoration for Christmas.

Summary:
Ivy is on the run from someone dangerous. She thinks she’s safe in Hawk Ridge Hollow until she sees the person she’s on the run from in town. And he won’t stop popping up at every turn. When he gets too close, Ivy drives into a snowstorm and ends up with her car in a pond at the town’s tree farm. With no way to leave and the cold seeping in, she seeks shelter in the owner’s home and accidentally falls asleep beside the fire.

Luca lives at the tree farm to get away from everything and live his life quietly without interruption. But that’s derailed when he finds a woman asleep on his couch after coming back from the tree farm. When she wakes up and he takes stock of the situation, Luca realizes that he’s stuck with her until they can get back into town and rescue her car from the watery depths of the pond. Luca doesn’t like the idea of Ivy infiltrating his space and heart, especially since he knows there’s something she isn’t telling him, but he isn’t as immune to her as he’d like to be.

When Ivy’s secrets come to light and she’s able to leave, will Luca let her go as he would have when she first came into his life? Or will they have built something together that neither of them want to let go of?

4. Gio & Joy and the Three French Hens

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Joy & Gio’s points of view

Review:
Had my body allowed me to, I would have finished this in the same night! I loved Joy & Gio so much and getting to see the rest of the Costa clan again. 😍 I loved that Gio was rendered not suave/able to focus around Joy and that he liked making bad dad jokes 😂. I loved their ‘accidental’ kisses and that everyone gave up on Gio not going after Joy. I loved that we got to see more of Nico, though I’m sad he’s getting discouraged about finding someone to love 🥺😢. I loved Frankie’s system for fixing the problem that comes up for Gio & Joy and that they both listened to her (though she probably looked formidable at this point in the story so I likely would have done the same thing in their shoes 😬). Some of my favorite scenes included: the kiddy table sit-down, gingerbread house making, the display of Gio’s thoughtfulness, the ending, and the dinner where everything fell apart!

Summary:
Joy is jobless now that the architectural firm laid her off. While she waits for someone to hire her for what she went to school for, she goes to live with her mom, which is luckily in the same town as her best friend. Her best friend, Frankie, even has a temporary job lined up for her in Frankie’s family’s pizza & pie business. Unfortunately, it means that Joy will need to work closely with her childhood crush who is also Frankie’s brother. With her heart still hurting from her past relationships and Gio practically flirting with any woman he sees, Joy knows that it wouldn’t be a good idea to even think of still being interested in him…but her heart hasn’t gotten the memo…

Gio was an in-demand photographer until his family’s business venture. But family is family and Gio would do anything for them. Though it doesn’t stop his flirting ways despite the change in pace. When a new cashier is introduced to him, Gio is smitten but she won’t give him the time of day. Which is different for him.

How can he catch her attention? And once he has it, what then?

5. Paulo & Noella and the Two Turtle Doves

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Paulo & Noella’s points of view

Review:
These Costa brother romances keep getting better and better! I loved this fun second chance romance! Paulo was adorable with his grumpy/tough exterior but with a soft spot for Noella and the kids. I loved that he was so determined to get back together with Noella and didn’t shy away from letting her know that. I loved that Noella wanted to give the kids joy, even when she wasn’t sure that spending time with Paulo was a good idea for herself. Some of my favorite scenes included: going on a picnic game, a scavenger hunt, meeting the family, the holiday activities, and saving Noella.

Summary:
Noella had love, but after thinking that things were going well they went downhill. Now she is loveless, jobless, and going to be spending Christmas on her own since her parents will be away on a cruise. Luckily, a freelancing job brings Noella to a quaint town that her grandparents used to live in. So she’ll be able to make money and have a free place to stay while she gets back on her feet. Unfortunately, its seems that her lost love, Paulo, will be staying in the same town this Christmas and he apparently has two children she never knew about. Can things get any worse?

Paulo has had one heck of a time the past few months. First, he made a really bad decision that separated him from Noella, then his brother insists that he and his brothers join him in a business venture in some small town, and on top of that Paulo inherits two kids. What a mess! But something good comes in the form of Noella in his family’s business the same day he gets into town. Maybe he can get a second chance and learn how to raise two kids. Maybe there is such thing as Christmas miracles…

6. Nico & Hope and the Partridge in a Pear Tree

Reader’s Notes:
– this is told from Nico & Hope’s points of view

Review:
Nico!!!! 😍 I’ve been waiting for the youngest Costa’s story and I am sooo happy with it! I loved that Ellie made this a Cinderella story with Nico as the dashing prince ❤️. I loved how patient and caring he was with Hope and would stand up to her family subtly to not cause her further grief with them. I also loved that he took in her cats when the steps caused mischief that would have left them in the cold. I loved Hope’s caring heart and that she didn’t want to burden anyone. I loved that Nico knew this and made sure his sister intervened to get Hope to at least come and see the job they set up for her when she needed a new one. I loved the sweet gestures between Nico and Hope that told each other they were thinking of them. And I was so glad to see Hope get comfortable around the Costa clan by the end of the story!

Summary:
Hope is living out her Cinderella life, complete with a horrible step family that keeps stepping all over her. And she has to let them, otherwise how will she ever get out of her stepmother’s debt? When Hope starts her new job as a Christmas-wish-o-gram girl and manages to meet a sweet guy, she begins to wonder if she could ever have a life that includes a man like Nico. Someone who wants to get to know her and protect her interests instead of their own. Someone who builds her up instead of tearing down all her hopes, dreams, and sense of normalcy in her life…

Nico knows that his brothers must be up to the Christmas-wish-o-gram song and dance, who else would have paid for someone to embarrass him and try to set him up with a girl in the same move? After all, part of the package they paid for is the singer would join the recipient on a Christmas activity of their choice around town. Nico can get his own dates if he wants to and loathes that his brothers don’t think so, but he isn’t about to look this gift horse in the mouth and let the opportunity of getting to know Hope pass him by. As he learns more about her and her life situation with her stepfamily, Nico wants to protect her and volunteers to pretend to be her fiancé in hopes of getting them to back off of her and her space. Though the family seems skeptical, Nico knows that this fake relationship is feeling more and more real in each passing glance…and he wants Hope to know these feelings are true, not just a ruse anymore. Will she accept him and want more than they originally bargained for?

This a fun and cute collection of Christmas romances focused on the Costa family. Each story is fun, focused on different Costa brother and his romance, and with each with different fun romance tropes. All the stories take place during the same holiday season. I really enjoyed all the stories. The family is so fun and the sibling interaction is entertaining. I loved all the family connections and the great characters. And the romances were lovely. Each story is a sweet and quick read on its own, and together they are fun to read back-to-back. The Costa sister’s story is part of another series by the author, and she is involved in these stories, but it is not necessary to read her story first, although it’s another enjoyable story and series. This is a collection of sweet and clean romances with mild innuendo and no harsh language.

The Costa Brothers are all together now in one box set. The stories are interconnected so I highly suggest reading them in order.

The whole series is five stars with my favorite story being Nico and Hope’s. Nice & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree is the sixth and final book in the series. It’s a sweet, contemporary take on Cinderella. It has a few fun twists and a little touch of mystery.

I loved rereading through the series. Each book is short enough to read in one sitting but the storylines will make you want to keep going through the whole set. The addition of a Christmasy recipe to the box set makes it extra sweet.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Six brothers , one pizza parlour . A whole lotta fun, and amore.Meeting the crazy Costa family has been a rollercoaster romance extravaganza . Brilliant Christmassy book titles of which there’s one per brother. After their parents are taken in by a scam, they all band together to run the pie shop. Their sister pops in to keep an eye on them every now and then . Each book follows the romance of one of them . A great humorous insight into the loyal ,loud and proud, Italian family Costa who have great love and respect for each other and the family grows with each story . Brilliant writing . Awesome stories all centred around the festivities.

If you haven’t met the Costa family this is your chance
Such a fun, engaging family. Six sons, one daughter (her story is in the book Christmas in Hawk Ridge Hollow), and their parents make up fun, loyal, Italian family gathering around to help mom and pop when their financial well-being is being threatened by scammers. The sons all have their own lives, their own plans, and are moving forward. However, life has different plans for them. Six sons, six stories with each story providing a fun experience of life in a large, loud, and loving family where family is always first. You are in for a treat. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

A marvelous collection about a large Italian family of how six sons find love. Individual books center on a different brother, but there's plenty of family (including parents and a sister) in each. The brothers are all so different, but family loyalty is present in each story. Amidst each story there is so much happiness and humor, that it's nearly impossible not to want to keep reading immediately when each book is finished. I felt like I was almost a part of the Costa family. A wonderful book of wintery Christmas happiness.

Sweet series, and love that they are all together!

I really enjoyed this series-- I love all things Italian, and I love interconnected books. Having one right after the other within one set was so convenient for remembering story arcs (instead of waiting months in between). I also enjoyed the specificity of each Costa brother's character personality (& the interjections of Italian, which I have studied and adore as my favorite world language. Ma DAI, certo!)

Very enjoyable. Wish I were not already finished!

This is such a fun collection of stories involving the Costa Family especially the six single brothers. They work together in the family pizzeria that is also a pie shop. They joined forces to help out their parents who had been taken in by a scam.

Each story focuses on one of the brothers finding love. There is so much wonderful family interaction along with lots of humor. The best part is that they all take place at Christmas which adds so much festive fun to the mix. They also have a married sister who lives nearby and pops up in many of the stories.

I read these as individual stories and had to wait for the next book to come out but this collection will let you binge read the whole series.

Tommy & Merry and the Twelve Days of Christmas (best friend to love)

Bruno & Gloria and the Five Golden Rings (grump-sunshine)

Luca & Ivy and the Four Calling Birds (hate to love)

Gio & Joy and the Three French Hens (best friend's brother)

Paulo & Noella and the Two Turtle Doves (second chance marriage)

Nico & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree (relationship of convenience)

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

I had read some of these stories individually but now the series is complete and you get to read about each brother. This is a loving family that joins together to help their parents when they get caught up in some scams and lose money. Each story begins with a letter to Santa and develops into finding love. It’s really cute, funny, and festive. Perfect to read during the Christmas holidays in front of a crackling fire!

In the mood for some fun Christmas reading? 6 Italian brothers (and one matchmaking sister), each with their own fun stand alone stories, this one volume unites the family together in a funny juxtaposition just like their family pizza and pie shop is a unique and quirky combo.

Each book has its own trope, so you're sure to find your favorite somewhere amongst the pile, and they are all well worth the read!

Thanks for the ARC, as always this is my honest review!

I read the Costa brothers individually and had to read them again in this all in one collection. I love the Costa family! I love how connected they are and that the stories happen at the same time and each brother is unaware of what is going on with each other. I laughed, shed a few tears and absolutely think every family needs a Frankie. She is the only sister and keeps these boys in line. So much fun! A real holiday treat.

Delightful Binge Reading!

I loved this set and getting to know the Costa Brothers and the Santa-believing women who ended up being loved by them. I love being able to go quickly from one brother's book to the next so I don't forget their larger-than-life personalities or loyalty to and love for family. I love their town, their family business, their family dynamics, and all their bantering. There is nothing not to love about these Christmas stories! Enjoy!

Enjoy this brilliantly fun and chaotic family all in one binge worthy boxset. The Costa brothers (and sister) are a force to be reckoned with and woe betide anyone who messes with family. They work hard, and fall hard for their partners. Mama and papa Costa are a riot. So much fun, so much romance.

I love how all the books are into one spot for easy binge. There is a nice balance of humor and romance. The bonus content with a recipe in it is nice. I enjoyed each story and how they connect to each other so reading as a series is best and this makes it easier to do so.

Love this Christmas collection!! (absolutely finished this collection! Just shoved it off of my "read" shelf so I could count all 6 stories as standalone for my books this year haha) - Read 12/1-12/15 2023
