When Grayson Fox is asked to return home to Deep Haven and run the wrangler activities for the local camp, the last thing he expects is to run into the one woman he never wanted to see again. Worse…she’s his boss. But Grayson has big hopes for a life back in Oregon, and he must keep the promise to the camp in order to keep his dreams alive.
Just because Beth Strauss has stuck around Deep Haven doesn’t mean she doesn’t want a bigger life. And becoming the camp assistant director is the first step to that bigger life. Of course, standing in her way happens to be the one man who has always managed to derail her dreams, way too arrogant Grayson Fox.
But if they want to keep the camp afloat and their dreams alive, these two must learn to work together. But will these enemies become sweethearts, and if they do, will they find something better than the dreams they’re striving for?
The next delightful installment of the Fox Family series!
Award-winning author Rachel D. Russell writes contemporary inspirational romance focused on forgiveness, redemption, and grace. She's a country girl living in the suburbs, whose resume includes presenting live-animal reptile programs, being a park ranger, a reserve police officer, and a stint in federal prison (where she worked, not lived).
She makes wild attempts to balance writing under publisher deadlines with her full-time career with the federal government. When Rachel’s not cantering her horse down the Oregon beaches, she’s probably interrogating her husband on his own military and law enforcement experience to craft believable heroes in uniform. The rest of her time is spent enjoying her active family, including two college-age sons and three keyboard-hogging cats.
Return once again to deep haven. And if you have never heard of it, please join in! This book was a pleasure to read. I was in a bit of a lull in my reading and the pacing of thos story just felt so smooth, so readable that I flew through it and thoroughly enjoyed this journey. Beth was a character that I remember being introduced to as a side character and she immediately got my attention. She is so relatable to some of the things I struggle with and I loved seeing her grow and be challenged. The hero is a delight to read about. He was both a strong hero when he needed to be and he had some of his own struggles to overcome. . This is the perfect book to curl up with and be swept up on the story. You get romance and some thought provoking truths intertwined into this delightful story. . I recieved a complementary copy of this book from the publisher and all my thoughts and opinions are my own and honest.
I really loved this story! Seeing two broken hearts mend over the course of the novel made for such a great read and I loved the fact the book was a horse story as well. My ten year old heart that loves horses was thrilled at that aspect. This was a fantastic read!
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
These books are always such a treat to read. It's Your Love is the second book in the Fox Family series, but it can be read as a stand alone. This story focuses on Grayson Fox, who returns to Deep Haven for the summer to work at a summer horse camp after a six year absence. Early on, he runs into Beth, who was the little sister of his best friend growing up. They haven't seen each other since high school, and have some embarrsing history together. Thrown together working at the camp, their feelings for each other escalate. But, Grayson plans to return to Oregon and Beth can't leave her father. Things become complicated and like all great stories, we are left until the end wondering how it will work out. I have read several books by Russell now and her character development is strong and the back and forth between the two main characters keeps you reading until the end.
*I was given an ARC from Sunrise Publishing, but all opinions are my own.
I am delighted to be back in Deep Haven. It was fun with the horses and how two hearts reconciled with love and trust. I am enjoying the fox family series. I can't wait for book 3.
Thank you to the publisher for the complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
It’s Your Love was a great story that focused on overcoming fear, trusting in God’s leading, and second chances. I really liked Grayson and Beth. These two had a bit of bad history between them from when they were teenagers. I liked that they were able to get past that fairly quickly in the novel and onto working together for the good of the camp kids.
Both of these characters had things from their pasts that made it difficult for them to relinquish their fears and trust in God. Both Grayson and Beth had different reactions to the fears they struggled with. Grayson left and also kept people at arm’s length. Beth stayed with her father and used him as an excuse to not ever leave Deep Haven.
The romantic tension and attraction that developed between the Beth and Grayson was perfectly paced. There wasn’t an easy answer for them. It all came down to whether either of them were really trusting God’s leading.
This is book two in the Fox Family series, but can easily be picked up and enjoyed without having read book one.
(4.5 stars)
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Grayson Fox has agreed to return to his hometown of Deep Haven, Minnesota to work as a wrangler at the Trinity Horse Camp for children.
Beth Strauss is a native of Deep Haven, where she grew up but never grew out of the small town. She spreads herself too thin by taking on all sorts of side jobs, basically, anything she's asked to do.
Grayson and Beth have a small history together, though they'd really rather not have to work together, but, that's what happens, with Beth being Grayson's boss at the camp.
I really liked Grayson, he hopes to inspire the children who attend the youth horse camp and he knows his business with horses.
"Okay, Horse Whisperer," and "Please Lord, answer this one prayer" are a couple of my favorite quotes.
I highly recommend #ItsYourLove for a feel-good enemies-to-lovers inspirational book.
I am thankful for the complimentary copy I was under no obligation to post a review.
Deep Haven is one of my favorite fictional towns to visit.
Russell adds another romantic tale with realistic characters to the lightly interconnected series.
Beth thinks being indispensable will keep her safe. Grayson is haunted by a tragic loss. Both of them are carrying guilt and responsibility that they shouldn’t.
Working together to save the local horse camp, their reluctant friendship turns to more. But with Grayson’s calling in Oregon and Beth’s ties to Deep Haven, how can they be together?
Did I mention there were a lot of horses in this book? *swoon*
I laughed, gasped, and cried. Then I got the warm fuzzies at the end. Another five-star read by an author I know will deliver.
Readers return to Deep Haven, MN to meet another Fox Family member in this new book by author Rachel D. Russell.
In It’s Your Love, Grayson Fox accepts a summer position as wrangler atTrinity Horse Camp, unaware that the assistant camp director Beth Strauss is his boss. Grayson returns to Deep Haven after a six-year absence, and they haven’t seen one another since high school. They have a shared past that left them not wanting to see each other ever again. Can they set aside their past to work together for the financially-struggling camp to see what the future may hold, both for them and the camp?
Rachel D. Russell created relatable characters, a clean romance, and a well-crafted storyline with a subtle faith element. Grayson has big dreams back in Oregon after the summer, while Beth hasn’t learned to say no to anyone and tries to be everything for everyone, especially her widowed dad. Both have struggles from their pasts, but they eventually build a friendship as they work together. Will they learn not to let the past define them nor carry the burden of guilt any longer?
Readers can look forward to the next Deep Haven/Fox Family novel in The Way You Love Me, coming in January 2024.
Deep Haven’s fans will welcome cameo appearances of their favorite characters. Readers will enjoy the small-town charm, and a wholesome romance, as well as flawed but realistic characters in Russell's contemporary inspirational romance.

If you enjoy horses, second chances and swoony cowboy heroes with capable heroines, this is the book for you. Russell’s settings and poignant moments hit the finish line for me. Loved this return to Deep Haven!
I loved everything about this story... the characters, the setting and of course... horses! The two main characters are both trying to overcome tragedies they faced in childhood. This story brings the hope of starting over through sacrifical love.
I definitely look forward to reading more stories from this series, and more from this author in the future.
I absolutely LOVE this new series from the Sunrise Deep Haven authors! Any trip to Deep Haven feels like coming home, reading on a rainy day, all the good feelings!
In this book we got to meet Grayson Fox. I loved reading about this cowboy in a town full of lumberjacks! I have a weak spot for cowboys so I liked Grayson immediately! I also loved his purpose and mission to help kids who experienced trauma like he and his siblings did!
And then there's Beth! I was on her team as soon as I met her, given that we share the same name! But I also related to her in the way that she's a homebody and always wants to care for everyone else. I loved watching her grow, conquer her fears and discover her dreams.
All in all, Rachel wrote another great novel! I loved everything about it, especially seeing bits of past characters coming to visit! 10/10 would recommend this Deep Haven novel!
Welcome back to Deep Haven, Minnesota in this newest Fox Family series novel, It’s Your Love, by Rachel D. Russell! Beth Strauss has lived in Deep Haven her whole life, bound by a promise she made as a child to never leave her father, after her mother left them both. She has wants and dreams, though, but always holds herself back. When one dream comes true, a job as Assistant Camp Director, she doesn’t expect to have to work with her teenaged crush, the boy - now man - who left an indelible impression on her heart. Grayson Fox left Minnesota a long time ago, getting out of Dodge, so to speak, for the ranches of Oregon. He has big dreams of his own, but needs money, so he’s back as the camps horse trainer for the summer. He’s never forgotten that one blistering kiss with Beth from their youth, though. Beth and Grayson both have dreams, and both have made promises to others. Both of these seem to give them life paths that have no chance of converging. But we know when the Lord is involved, He can make anything - or anyone - come together. I so enjoyed this sweet story! Grab a copy and settle in…you’ll love it, too! I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.
I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were such real, relatable people, like most of us. Friendships and caring relationships made me want to know the characters and care what happened to them. The story kept me guessing about what would happen next. This novel made me smile.
I fell in love with Susan May Warren's Deep Haven series years ago, so when I saw this spin-off collection, I was quick to jump on board. And I was in NO WAY disappointed. Cowritten by the amazing Rachel D. Russell, this book has it all - a sweet romance, characters you can't help but love, and a plot that keeps the pages turning. I was entirely captivated from start to finish. This was my perfect curl-up-with-a-cup-of-coffee read. I can't wait for the next installment!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publishers. I was not required to provide a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.
Any return to Deep Haven makes me wish it was a real town I could visit! Rachel has written a great story about having the courage to forgive both yourself and others, as well as a journey to discovering God’s ever-present grace, even when we don’t recognize it. “It’s Your Love” is one of the sweetest slow-burn romances I’ve ever read. Plus, you’ll fall in love with the horses right along with the cowboy!
Deep Haven is a great setting for It's Your Love. While this is an easy romantic read, it has great depth with the personal trauma Beth and Grayson have each experienced. The ending was a sweet bucket list item.
Heart-warming, romantic, and rugged…I loved this return to Deep Haven and falling in love with these characters on a horse farm! If you love shows like Heartland, you will love this book.
It's Your Love: A Deep Haven Novel by Rachel D. Russell was a treat to read! This was my first taste of Ms. Russell's writing, and I am definitely a fan! It's Your Love brings readers a sweet story of adventure, love, humor, heartbreak, and faith. I enjoyed Ms. Russell's writing style, the outdoorsy setting, the characters, and the themes and life lessons the characters and readers learned. Although It's Your Love is part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. Grayson Fox loves working with horses and bringing joy and hope to children with varying griefs and struggles. Grayson dreams of running his own horse camp in Oregon, but first he has to return to Deep Haven after six years away to work for the summer. Already dreading this short stint in his hometown, Grayson is shocked to run into the one woman he thought he left behind for good: Beth Strauss. Beth's hard work to secure her long-dreamed of position as camp assistant director at the local horse ranch has paid off. When Beth runs into Grayson Fox, her long-ago childhood crush that left her heartbroken, she is shocked to discover that Grayson is now her partner at the camp for the summer. Beth wants to live bigger, dream bigger, but her heart is stuck in Deep Haven. Can she learn to get along with Grayson and protect not only her job, but also protect her heart from being hurt again? Can Grayson discover what he is truly running from and where his path in life should be Oregon or Deep Haven, Minnesota? Will the enemies be able to become friends or even more? Where will Grayson and Beth's futures lead? Read It's Your Love to find out!
I appreciated the honest way that Ms. Russell brought each character's faults and failings to the surface as well as bringing friends and family members along to help them and kindly challenge and rebuke them. Overall, I was impressed by the entire package: the plot moved quickly, the characters were excellent, the romance was clean and tasteful, and the humor and adventure were perfectly mixed in with the excellent themes of the book. I would highly recommend It's Your Love and I hope that you have the chance to read it and enjoy it as much as I have. Happy reading!

We all have life struggles and some of those struggles affect us more than others. This is very evident in the lives of the two main characters in this story. We are back in the beloved town of Deep Haven, the place readers like myself have grown to love. Grayson Fox has begrudgingly returned to Deep Haven for a job handling wrangler activities at Trinity Horse Camp. Trinity Horse Camp saved his life many years ago. However, Deep Haven holds too many sad memories for him. That being said, he needs this job for the short term. What he didn't expect was that he would have to work with Beth Strauss. Beth Strauss is the younger sister of Grayson's best friend. They had an occurrence from their past that makes both of them uncomfortable with the other. Beth really wants to be successful as the camp assistant director, but she does not know if she can work with Grayson. But they will have to work together, and they really do need each other. They both have some wounds that need to be healed, and the camp needs them as well.
These characters have so much depth. You can actually feel their emotions through the written word. This makes them very real to me. We see them both, warts and all. I enjoy reading a book with characters that are realistic, as this makes the story come alive. Grayson Fox was a hero without a cape, but one that carried a heavy burden that weighed him down on a daily basis. This burden had almost destroyed his faith, and it had definitely consumed his personal life making it impossible to fully enjoy life. Beth was a fixer. She wanted to help everyone and be there for everyone. This meant that at times she was really spreading herself thin, and it also meant that she never stopped to consider her needs, wants and dreams. This was a sweet romance which will make your heart sing. You will fall in love with Deep Haven and it's residents when you read it. Also, if you are a horse lover, this book will delight your soul. I learned so much about horses just reading this book.
Thank you to Sunrise Publishing and the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Summer camp brings back fond memories for me and this story brought back many of them. Set in Deep Haven, MN, it is a part of a series of stories that feature this small town. If you have read others from Deep Haven, you will come across mentions of them in this story and see how lives truly are interwoven. I really enjoy that part of this story series.
It's Your Love features Grayson Fox who has been MIA for a while but returns to town. Just for the summer, though. He is the new wrangler at the summer camp that made a huge difference in his life after his parents died. He wants to return the favor to many kids, starting now with camp for the summer, and later by opening his own summer adventure camp to reach kids who are having a hard time. He needs the money from this summer job and the sell of his parents' property to fund the purchase of the camp he wants back in Oregon.
Beth Strauss has lived in Deep Haven all her life and is ready for the next big part of her life to begin. She has helped her dad and taken care of him for years, since her mom passed away and she promised her mom to do so. She didn't really know what that meant at the time but now she feels like she is failing her dad by moving forward with her own life. It is a struggle but she really wants to be the director of the camp one day so she has to step forward, regardless of her fears. Then she bumps into, or rather is saved by, Grayson, the one person who can derail everything.
This story really does have the fairy-tale aspects of it that make it fun, though completely unrealistic. It is a joy and lots of fun, easy reading. It is easy to want everything to work out for the best for these characters. They are just down to earth and realistic, flawed and fun. Deep Haven thrives with characters that make you want to be a part of their lives. This is just another story of Deep Haven that makes you want to grab your cup of tea and a treat, snuggle up in a blanket, and read away until you are done. Enjoy!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
I really enjoy Christian Romance novels, especially those that are a part of series. It's Your Love by Rachel D. Russell is Book 2 in the Fox Family Series. The series is written by various authors. I read Book 1 in the series and I am excited to eventually read the entire series.
Grayson Fox had moved to Oregon 6 years ago, but is now back HOME in Deep Haven. He has agreed to help the local camp with their Wrangler Activities, but he hopes to return to Oregon in the future. Beth Strauss loves her hometown of Deep Haven and she has big dreams for herself in Deep Haven. She is now Assistant Camp Director and now Grayson Fox is working for her. Beth and Grayson have known each other for a long time and Beth feels Grayson is arrogant. Grayson has a strong dislike for Beth also. They both know that they are going to have to work together to keep the Camp going and even more so to help them both achieves their life dreams. Will working together bring a change in feelings toward one another? Will there be a relationship between the pair? Do they find themselves achieving dreams together?
WOW, the storyline for this book is quite captivating. I truly enjoyed this book from the very first pages. Grayson knows going back to Deep Haven for the Summer might bring up some tragic things from the past. He enjoys his life in Oregon and working with Horses. Beth is making dreams come true for her and also enjoys working at the Camp. I LOVE how the author brings them together even though Grayson broke Beth's heart in the past. The growth throughout the book and watching them work together was joyous. They both overcame the past and are looking to the future in Deep Haven. This book is one of Friendship, LOVE, Trusting God, and Small Town Romance. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Fiction Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!
It feels so good to be back in Deep Haven! This literary world always gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling when I am there, and I love it!! The small town vibe is always so pleasant and these characters are so lovable!
Grayson is back home in Deep Haven after being gone for six years. He’s hoping to temporarily help out as a wrangler at Trinity Horse Camp and then head back to Oregon where he can start living out his dreams of having a ranch of his own. What he doesn’t foresee is Beth, a girl with whom he didn’t leave on good terms, coming back into his life and turning his emotions upside down.
Beth is a sweetheart that wears her heart on her sleeve. She is a girl that is willing to help out anyone and everyone, always putting others ahead of herself. A promise she made to her father years prior has left her stunted in life and her fear continues to leave her haunted by her past. Having Grayson back in her life makes her question everything and see her situation from a fresh perspective.
Grayson and Beth are great together, but the back and forth between them got a little old for me. I found myself getting a little bored in the middle of the novel, so I instead put my focus on the supporting characters and I found that I enjoyed the story more that way. The family relationships are truly what made me fall in love with this novel.
The writing flows seamlessly as we watch Beth and Grayson not only wrestle with their feelings for one another but also with their dreams, and what they truly want out of life. The character growth is evident as the story progresses in a satisfying way. It was a sweet read that was engaging, endearing, and full of faith and good vibes.
*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.
IT'S YOUR LOVE is a story about a man who faces some of his greatest regrets coming back home for the summer, and a girl who is trying to figure out how to have her own life while still fulfilling a promise. Set in a small town that fans have grown to love, with likable characters, a sweet romance and inspirational elements woven throughout.
I really liked these characters, the premise for the story and being able to come back and visit Deep Haven. It's a summer visit revolving around a summer camp, its horses and the two main employees running things. There is an old crush between these two and that underlying attraction is still there. It was fun seeing them work through their own challenges as characters and with those around them as they face some choices. The romance is sweet and slowly builds, and friends and family who poke their hands into things in this small town add to the charm.
I think there were a few flaws for me personally in this story. I was rubbed wrong by the heroine's comments towards the hero and how that bled into their work environment from almost the start of the story. It felt pretty juvenile to hold onto something that wasn't actually what she thought from high school and hold it over someone's head. The other thing was that I felt like the wit, humor, and chemistry were lacking in this story so it felt fairly flat to me.
In the end, was it what I wished for? An overall cute story about letting go while also reaching for dreams. Likable characters and small-town life set amidst a summer camp created a charming feel to this book.
Content: Clean Source: I received a complimentary copy through JustRead Publicity Tours, which did not require a positive review. All opinions are my own.
It's Your Love Fox Family #2 By Rachel D. Russell Sometimes things just seem to go wrong, and for Greyson Fox that seems to be the pattern his life is currently stuck in. So getting a call to help out at the camp that changed his life seems like an answer to something. Returning to Deep Haven was never on his to-do list, but it is a step towards fulfilling his dream. What he never expected was seeing seeing Beth Strauss again.
She was the girl in high school who he left behind (though at the time he didn't know it- teenager and all that). Well lets just say their first meeting had a bookish tone to it. And then to top off everything she is about to be his boss for summer! Let's just say starting his youth ranch in Oregon is about to lose some of it's appeal.
Second chances at getting it right in Deep Haven are never easy. Nor is the path to finding love. And believe me there is more than one obstacle in the path of love and starting over.
This is a fun return to Deep Haven and the Fox family. But this time brother Greyson gets his chance. I love how the grandkids are slowly being drawn back home in this series. Maybe the saying you can't return home doesn't apply to Deep Haven, MN, because they seem more than willing to welcome back those who have left it behind. This is a sweet contemporary romance that will leave you in a happy place. So crack open the cover and settle down for another (or a first time visit) to a place you wouldn't mind calling home.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.
It's Your Love by Rachel D. Russell is book #2 in the Fox Family series of Deep Haven. She is a new to me author, but I loved her storytelling. I was swept away by the story and struggles of Grayson Fox and Beth Strauss. Grayson has finally returned to Deep Haven after being gone for a long time living in Oregon. He has the chance to buy his own ranch out west and needs money so he accepts the position of working has head wrangler with the local family camp that helped him many years ago. His best friend's little sister Beth Strauss is also going to be working at the camp for a position she thinks will help her achieve her dreams. She's fought hard to win the position, but then Grayson shows up. The two haven't seen each other since Grayson took off to go west, but they both have unsettled feelings about each other. As they work together, they realize they want more. Standing in the way, is Grayson's calling to start his own camp in Oregon and Beth's desire to stay in Deep Haven. Who knows how it's going to end? I really loved my time again in Deep Haven. Such a wonderful place and all the characters I love. If you haven't read any of the Deep Haven novels then I suggest that you do. Though you don't need to read any of the books for this story. It was such a joy to read about the journey of these two healing their brokenness and figuring out away to make things work. I can't wait to read more of Rachel's books. She really has a way of drawing you into her story. You won't want to leave. I was given a copy, but all opinions are my very own.
3.5 stars "We like to pretend we have a lot of control in this life, but the fact is, we have very little. But we have faith."
Grayson Fox's faith had been shoved to the back burner of his life . . . . for a long time, if he was honest with himself. Returning to his home town of Deep Haven was supposed to put a plan into motion for realizing his dream of owning ranch property in Oregon, yet selling his family acreage has become much harder than he anticipated....... . . perhaps that difficulty revolves around his new temporary summer job at the Trinity Horse Camp. . . . or more accurately, it is the horse camp's interim assistant director who is giving his head a spin.
Could a face-to-face with Grayson Fox have been more embarrassing than having a heat-stroke inside a ridiculous book costume after being chased by a contingency of barking dogs? Ummm . . . . the short answer is . . . . no. Her teen-age crush . . . . or "something" was back in town and looking like an honest-to-goodness cowboy, who was slated to be working at . . . . "her" camp over the summer???
This sparks-are-flying reunion in a small town where everyone knows your name is so entertaining that it would be easy to concentrate on the fun factors and overlook the faith journey taking place . . . Beth and Grayson have deep-seated fears brewing inside their generous hearts and selfless motives . . . . because when it comes down to it, he is leaving at the end of the summer and Beth is staying in Deep Haven forever . . . . and that is a problem that only God can work out!
