The bodies are stacking up in Riverbend, at least the ones they find are.
Although the murders seem to have stopped, perhaps only temporarily, when the new Police Chief took over, now people are disappearing at an alarming rate. Only the close friends and family of those that vanished continue to cling to hope of finding their loved ones alive. The rest of the townsfolk have accepted the grim reality that whomever is responsible for the disappearances just got better at hiding the bodies.
Devastated by the disappearance of two of her high school students, Bethany, Riverbend School Nurse, launches an investigation into the disappearances. Desperate to find her students, the only thing that could stop her is the killer himself. The townsfolks are on edge as they anticipate who will be next. Can Bethany get to the bottom of the disappearances before the next person vanishes - or worse? Will she find her students alive? Or will she be the next victim?
The drama unfolds in Riverbend, a stereotypical Midwest town known for its scenic beauty, its annual festival, and as the place to get away with murder.
This book is really good. 2/3 of the book it goes back and forth from past and present. Then it gets to it. This book is so life like, and I know that it can really be true. If u haven't read this, u should it's like reading a true life story.
