There's a catch though - she'll have to be taken in public. The man in the mask protects her from the view of other members at the club where the auction took place. He swallows her moans. And he saves her at the end of the night. Who is he and why does he care so much?

THOUGHTS: Omg, another fabulous read by Evie Rose!! She really stepped up the heat on this one. There's a very public sex scene which made me go "holy shit". I loved it. It's hot, sweet, and amazing - I recommend it if you like mafia romance/sex in public places!! It was fabulous. I can't wait to do a reread of it!!!

One by one, it seems I'm gonna read all books by this author 😂😂🤍🤍.

And I liked this one. It had the perfect couple obsessed with each other, without the other one knowing 🤭.

I hated her family so much. Ugh, who does that!? And they had the courage to be in his face afterward!?? Assholes 😂.

The entire thing with the auction and live taking of what he "won", it's not something new to read for me, and I think it was nicely executed.

I liked their story and their HEA.

The thing that made me gag, sorry not sorry, was this little part, in the epilogue:

"“If you’re worried about them, you can watch the gorgeous little creatures we created while I breed you again, right here.” I spin us around so my back is to the room, and she can peek over my shoulder, then begin to draw her skirt up."

Yeah, no!! They need to be far away 😳😱.

Nicole is a mafia princess and when her family ends up in deep debt, she does what no one expects , she auctions off her virginity. Yeah. You read that right.
And Lev: her brother’s best friend, 16 years older, and the very man she’s secretly crushed on for years. Of course, he shows up to "save" her, masked and mysterious but things don’t exactly go smoothly. Instead of just winning the auction and leaving with her, he’s forced to claim her in front of everyone.

There’s some fun tension, especially since Nicole doesn’t know at first that the masked "wolf" is Lev. But come on. the man wasn’t exactly subtle. It doesn’t take her long to figure it out. And then? Well, violence, obsession and some very public declarations of ownership follow.

I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. It’s definitely one of those reads that doesn’t waste time on much plot or character depth, just straight into the smut and drama. The setup is messy, over the top, and a little ridiculous, but if you're in the mood for something intense, fast and just plain unhinged,this one might hit the spot.

His Public Claim is super short and spicy. Nicole is a mafia princess who has been in love with her brother's best friend for years. Lev is the head of his Bratva family and 16 years older than Nicole. When Nicole's family is in dire need of money, she auctions her virginity to the highest bidder to pay their debts. Her brother sends in Lev to help her but when he wins and tries to leave, he is met with guns drawn and is expected to take her in front of them all. I like that they wore mask, so Nicole was never sure who the wolf was although he reminded her of Lev. Overall, if you need a really quick read that's just smut and can deal with cheesy dialogue this one's for you.

I love a good Bratva romance... and the spicier the better. So when I read the authors tropes:

A well written steam romance about a mafia princess who falls in love with the mafia boss who is friends with her brother and who also saved her when she had to give herself over to a cartel that her father got into debt with.
An old mafia boss in London makes some bad business decisions due to the influence of one of the cartel bosses who then lets the mafia boss borrow money from him only so he can get more and more into debt, the old mafia boss had nothing he could use to get the family out of debt so when the princess found out she used herself to get her father out of his debt. The mafia princess put herself up to a public auction which she didn’t know means that she would be sold and the men at the auction would get to watch while the winner took her.
The men all wore predatory animal masks. When she was up on a platform being auctioned off she found out that the women there informed the men that she was also a virgin so now they were selling her virginity away as well. The mafia princess tried to be strong but she didn’t know what type of depraved man would be at the auction wanting a virgin.
By the time the wolf bid it was already well over the million pound make but he won the virgin mafia princess. The wolf tried to leave with her but was stopped by men with guns. When they got back to the auction room they found the platform that she was on gone and a bed in its place. They had sex and he tried to cover her as much as he could so that the other men couldn’t see her. Their eyes met and the princess knew that the mafia boss wouldn’t hurt her so he reminded her of her brother’s friend that she has a crush on. After they had sex he took her to his car, one of the men from a cartel followed them wanting to have her as well but the wolf shot him.
The two drove a long way to his place and during the time the princess ripped the wolf’s mask off to reveal that he was indeed her brother’s friend, the man she has had a crush on for a very long time. The mafia boss, who was the wolf, confesses that he has had feelings for her for a while.
They get to his place outside of London and kiss passionately when the brother as well as her parents get there. The two confess their love to her parents and brother even though the brother is upset the parents wind up approving. The princess' family leave to go home.
The princess stays with the man she loves and when they get into his home the mafia boss gives her oral sex while they talk about getting married. Soon he decides to breed her so she can be round with his baby in her, and she agrees to both after a while. They kiss and tell one another how much they love one another.
Ten years later their at a charity event, they are married and have children. The children are with the nanny, the princess is looking at some pictures but soon she is with her husband in the shadows watching the event. The husband soon gives her an orgasm while watching their children and the people at the event. The mafia boss promises her more after the event, he wants to breed her so that she will be round with his baby again. The princes will hold him to his promise.
Outstanding characters which is a good page turner, an easy to read novella. It has action, intrigue and thrill as well as a steamy romance with a beautiful happily ever after ending.

Nicole had long dreamed of giving her v-card to her brother’s best friend Lev, a mafia boss in his own right but knew it would never happen. She has no idea he’s been obsessed with her for the last two years, going so far as to stalk and photograph his “little mouse.” When he hears of her pending sale at a cartel auction, he manages to buy his way in with his identity hidden by a mandatory mask. He successfully wins her, but there’s a rule for each purchase — the winner must claim his prize for all to see. Nicole feels strangely safe with the wolf who’s paid for her first time, though she doesn’t know it’s Lev. When forced to reckon with that revelation, among others, she has a choice to embrace all that Lev is offering, or return to the family who allowed her to be put on the block.

Lev is book boyfriend gold. He’s gentle with Nicole, making sure she enjoys her first time as much as possible while also shielding her from the lecherous eyes at the auction. He knows this is the only time he’ll ever be with her, and he is willing to break his own heart to protect her. The vulnerability and dominance he shows her are so swoony. Two sides of a delicious Russian coin.

I only wish this was longer so I could have more dirty-talking, hot, smexy times between the two! Loved the epilogue for giving us more.

Sooo, the story was a hot concept, but it fell kind of flat of it. The plot is basically a knock off of Jessa Kane’s “Suddenly His,” only nowhere near as good. If Jessa’s book is a 10, this is a 6. So if you read the blurb for this and are excited, just go read Jessa’s book instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry Evie.

Also, if you’re going to make your hero Russian, be consistent about it? One second he has a thick Russian accent and the next he’s throwing around words like “kinda” and “yep.” Totally kills the vibe. Especially during spicy parts. Smh.

Overall, decent but I’m dry as a bone and disappointed. 2.5 stars

His Public Claim is a short sweet and spicy novella about a mafia princess in danger and the mafia kingpin who will do anything for his innocent girl. The story is told in dual POV and begins with Nicole in the spotlight as the prize in a V-card auction. Nicole’s family is in debt to a cartel and auctioning off her virginity is the only way to pay off the debt. Lev will do anything to protect her and his actions to protect her dignity make him the perfect book boyfriend. I have admiration and respect for how he handled a possibly traumatizing event. Nicole and Lev never thought their secret love for each other could ever go anywhere because of Lev’s relationship with Nicole’s brother, David, his best friend.

I really enjoyed reading this deliciously forbidden, steamy, age gap, mafia romance story, and would recommend it for those that also like reading those types of stories. Evie Rose does a wonderful job of developing the characters and weaving a story that makes you want more. Nicole’s family’s reaction to what she went through was especially well written. My only regret about the novella is the length, because it was a good story, and I would like to read more about Lev and Nicole. I would also like to see a book written about her brother David. There are some typos, but not enough to lose a star.

So, here’s a little peek into this delicious book…
Nicole Highbury is our innocent, twenty three year old, beautiful MFC. She’s a mafia princess of the Highbury Mafia. She’s forced to give up her innocence, “publicly” to one high bidder, billionaire member of the Esses Cartel. Her innocence being the only valuable thing her family has to take care of their financial troubles. She had no choice to choose at all. It was that or let her family suffer.
Lev Vasiliev is our fourty year old MMC and Bratva Kingpin of Dalston. He found out his
Myshka, his little mouse was being auctioned off when her brother and his best friend, who begged him to save her, told him. So he went, masked up as a wolf, into the Esses Mafia lair, to save his Myshka.
He wins the auction and tries to get out before they forced him to do the “taking” publicly among the men. It was in the fine print of the contract it had to be done there and then. Here’s where I say nothing else about the “taking clause”😁you have to read it for yourself😜.
Unknowingly to either one, they both have harbored love for the other these many years. Feeling that they were that one person for them for life. Soul mate, if you will🥰. Lev has followed her and watched out for her for a while. Never feeling free to do anything about his love for her because he was much much older and she was his best friends very young sister. And she was so in love as to be breathless every time she sees him..her Lev who turned out to be her “wolf.”
I’m leaving it there because I don’t want to ruin your enjoyment of reading this awesome book. A very satisfying read!👍🏻😁.

This story was definitely a bit dark.  The FMC’s father is in debt with the cartel, and the only thing worth any money is his daughter.  She’s being auctioned off and her brother asked his best friend to intervene.  Unfortunately, what neither of them knows is that the claiming must take place in front of everyone.
 
He protected her as best he could.  It was really sad that she was in that predicament because of her dad though.  I think the thing I didn’t understand in the story is how she could have zero idea who it was, despite the mask.  If I heard someone’s voice that I know well, I’d know exactly who they are.  With that said, the love scenes were HOT.
 
The ending of the story felt a little odd to me how it played out, but in the end, we did get our HEA.  I loved the two of them together and I’m so glad it didn’t turn into something too incredibly dark where she was put in an even scarier position had it not been the MMC.

This is a standalone novella (even though it looks like part of a series). Evie Rose organizes her books into categories so you can easily pick the tropes you love most—grab one and go!

The story starts immediately at the auction. Nicole, a 23-year-old Mafia princess, volunteers to auction off her virginity to cover her family’s debts. What she doesn’t expect? That it will be public. Cue the dubious consent.

Enter our Mafia boss MMC—39 years old, obsessed, stalking her for two years, and absolutely unhinged when it comes to protecting her. His attempt to “save” her leads to everything spiraling deliciously out of control.

For only 84 pages, the characters are surprisingly fleshed out, and while the plot moves quickly (sometimes a little too fast), it works. Novellas like this aren’t meant to be fully fleshed-out sagas—they’re meant to give you background, spice, and a quick, filthy escape. And this novella delivers exactly that.

My only gripe was one particular line near the end (“...watch the creatures we created...”). Nope. Just nope. Exhibitionism is fine, but not like that.

Overall, this was a fun, filthy little palate cleanser that hits the trope cravings just right.

Why was this NOT a standalone?!

There's very few novellas that I would say should be a full-standalone novel, "His Public Claim" is definitely one of them! The fact that it had that much storyline, that much SPICEEEE (An easy 4/5 on the spice scale), and really came full circle was INSANE.

The story follows Russian Mafia boss Lev and Nicole (Mafia Princess/ his best friend's little sister) as she auctioned off her virginity in an auction hosted by the cartel and Lev saved her by having the highest bid. Except, it wasn't an easy walk-away situation. She had to lose her virginity in public in front of other dangerous men.

My thoughts on this one:
Lev is now my official new book boyfriend. The way he protected her, f****d her brains out, and really loved her was HOT. He was gentle when needed to be and all hot and dominant at other times. Plus that dirty Russian talk was HOT! Her family are A-holes. But Lev and Nicole really sold the book to me. I easily would have read this as a full novel.

If you love a little taboo with an age-gap, best friend's little sister, some dirty spicy scenes and love your Mafia stories like me, this book is for you! Plus, it ends in a HEA! :)

A titillating Mafia inspired romance novella where the majority of the storyline revolves around an evening scenario involving the two lead characters of Lev, a Mafia boss and Nicole, his best friend's younger sister. Now of course in typical romance fashion the two characters have over time fallen in love with each other but there are the usual boundaries set in place denying their abilities to both acknowledge and commit to one another. But the title gives the reader the best idea of what is going to be the primary plot line in the story. For a short story it still has a degree of depth to it, in that the reader is able to conjure up a descriptive image of the primary characters and develop an interest in them both to simply hope they find their HEA together. There is enough action, drama, and emotional pull to entice readers taste buds for wanting to read more. But deep down the character of Lev in regards to his duty is one quite caring and slightly chivalrous to protect what is his. As a new Author for me I was definitely pleased by this take of romance storytelling and will gladly ventured down more into their worlds.

Nice and Sweet

Lev and Nicole make an unusual couple. He’s a Bratva boss and she’s a Mafia princess. Her family’s finances are in trouble because of her father. Lev is her older brother’s best friend. She chooses to sacrifice her virginity and be auctioned to the highest bidder to save her family. Lev promises her brother he’ll save her. Lev is the highest bidder. Turns out Lev needs to take her virginity in front of all present in order to safely leave the auction. Nicole had no real clue who her highest bidder was-she just thought it was Lev by his eyes. All the bidders wore masks. In the car on the way to his home she pulled off his mask. And then at his house, they were met by her brother and parents. After a heated conversation between the Lev and Nicole and her family, they surprised everyone by declaring their love for each other. Turns out Lev was stalking her and had a room in his house dedicated to Nicole (all the pictures he took of her without her knowledge). She doesn’t care. Maybe because she’s also a photographer or maybe because she’s loved him since she was a teenager. He’s the older more experienced man. The story reminds us that love can conquer all, sometimes.

Nicole, the female lead, has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Lev, the male lead, for years. Unfortunately, she knows it’s not going anywhere, especially now when she’s auctioning off her virginity to cover the debt her father has incurred.

Lev has been obsessed with his best friend’s little sister since he realised how she’d matured into a beautiful woman two years ago but it’s not going anywhere because bro code. But when he’s told about the auction, he races to Nicole’s rescue. Then he finds out that the first time must be observed - how is he ever going to let her go?

This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a contemporary, erotic, brother’s best friend romance. I enjoyed Nicole’s resilience and fortitude. I enjoyed Lev’s careful consideration of her needs and protection of her privacy to the extent possible. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes - this isn’t my favourite kink but it was written in the author’s sweet and steamy fashion that made it engaging and fun.

Wow! I really got into this story. I can honestly see something like this taking place in some of the more ruthless mafia cartels (perhaps they are fewer in number now?). Regardless, my heart went out to Nicole and what she went through. Lev was the hero in this whole thing for me. Not sure what her brother was honestly thinking! (Lev is good enough for you to ask him to spend millions to bail your sister and your family out, but he's not actually good enough to be family?!?) Despite being the total package of intelligent, powerful, gorgeous, connected, charming, and generally a good person to those he cares for, Lev really didn't think particularly highly of himself. He did, however think everything of Nicole, and would take on the world to ensure her happiness. Turns out, he might have to do just that!

This book kept me highly engrossed from the first paragraph to the very last sentence. I got so invested in the MCs and the storyline, I was sad to see it end. I am hoping Rose writes more like this one. I was fortunate to receive this book as a gift and provide this review voluntarily. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

They have great chemistry and have loved each other from afar for years. It's a sweet and spicy insta love romance. You must read to find out what her family thinks of them together.

When her brother begs Lev for help getting her out of the auction, he agrees and purchases her. But he is forced to still claim her in public. What will Nicole say when she realizes Lev has saved her and taken her virginity? Will the two of them admit their feelings? What will her family say? Their chemistry was hot, and after some expected family drama, we got a great HEA.

I’m in two minds about this novella. On the one hand it was romantic in a twisted sort of way, on the other it was creepy and disconcerting. While I like the idea of a virgin auction (provided the buyer is right), the image of losing your virginity in front of a crowd of strangers is a bit daunting. Being sold off as a piece of meat seems an unlikely time to discover you enjoy being watched. Nicole was also pretty calm considering what awaited her; even when it came down to the actual deed itself. Lev was another anomaly. As a kingpin in the Russian Bratva, would he have really come to a rival’s auction alone? And if he was trying to hide the fact that he was Russian from the Essex mob, perhaps he shouldn’t have kept calling Nicole myshka! All in all, the secret, unacknowledged feelings between Lev and Nicole were the best part of the story and I loved how Nicole stood up to her family to finally claim her man.

Nicole Highbury’s family are in debt so she agrees to be auctioned to pay the debts. She’s been in love with her brother David’s best friend Lev but he thinks of her as his best friend’s little sister. She’s determined not to crumble at the auction when faced with the masked audience. Lev is determined to protect Nicole who he’s secretly loved for a few years but she’s off limits, but he’ll pay the insane amount to save her. What they both didn’t expect was to have to consummate the deal in front of everyone.
I love these quick read insta love novellas but this has to be one of the best. I adored Lev who did all he could to protect & shield Nicole. I also loved Nicole who stood tall at the auction & didn’t back down to her family. Their chemistry sizzled & I devoured it in a sitting. I hope David has his story. A well written, steamy, toe curling romance

Lev is best friends with Nicole’s brother David. He asks for Lev’s help to win his sister and return her untouched.
Lev is 16 years older than Nicole but has stalked her for the last two years. He is in love with her but knows she is off limits. He will do everything in his power to protect her.
This is a swoon worthy spicy novella. Lev is such a fierce protector. He is willing to do anything to protect Nicole.
Nicole is innocent, sweet and kind. She wants to take pictures but feels
Like she is invisible to everyone around her.
Lev proves to Nicole that he sees her.
Expect steam, age gap romance, brother’s best friend, mutual pining for each other, danger, suspense.
Great short read.
