The author is a 9th degree black belt. This is probably my favorite best karate book from the series. You get to see black belts spar each other with commentary and learn strategy. There are also techniques that you learn from this book including advanced ones. These photos are not from standing still. They are photos taken in a split second before smartphones! It was awesome!

Really good, but I guess I need more practice to fully understand what's going on in the pictures, since there are few words of description to accompany them.
