Hockey is my life. How could it not be when I’m the youngest daughter of Ace Moreau, hockey legend turned coach? It only makes sense since I live and breathe the game that I would want a player of my own. Given my access to the team, you’d think it would be easy to choose from the catalog of athletic hunks carving up the ice, right?
Wrong.
Daddy dearest has made it clear that under no circumstances are any of his players allowed to touch his daughters.
But I won’t be deterred. I only need one to break the rules with me.
Cal Berg, the Comets’ star defenseman, is bossy, arrogant, and thinks I’m just riding my dad’s coattails. Verbally sparring with him, provoking a reaction, is what I live for. We HATE each other.
Or so I thought . . .
One drunken slip has me rethinking everything.
Suddenly, my objective has changed. I don’t want just any player; I’m fully focused on bagging the blueliner.
Siena is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where a love of sports is bred into a girl's DNA. Her love of romance novels came early as well. She would often accompany her romance reviewer mom to book lovers' and romance writers' conventions, where she sat in on workshops and met numerous best-selling authors. It wasn't long before she was filling notebooks with her own stories, which often starred herself and a certain real-life prince.
As luck would have it, she met and married a handsome athlete instead. After several temporary residencies in multiple states and Germany, they finally settled in Michigan, the land where youth hockey reigns supreme.
Her stories no longer feature herself but draw from her past experiences as an educator, businesswoman, fashion consultant, and world traveler when creating her strong heroines. “Oh yes,” she says with a wink and a smile, “There are bits of me in all of them.” Now, she spends her days writing happily ever afters for fictional characters and her evenings at the local hockey arenas cheering for her three children.
i gave it two stars because it was a fun read BUT the whole thing felt very immature to me for characters in their 30’s. if you want a fun MINDLESS hockey romance, go for it!! but if ya want a romance with a little more emotional maturity…perhaps not this one:)))
I found the FMC so incredibly immature and I couldn’t connect with her. And I understand she’s supposed to be loud and speaks her mind, but she’s in her 30s, and complains she doesn’t have a career but also refuses to ever give up singing at the hockey games.?
Also the MMC, had her sleep in his bed cause she was drunk and she woke up and started “joking” about about him possibly assaulting her??? After I read that I had to put it down for good.
-It’s supposed to be a standalone but the first several chapters are info dumps for all the other characters from other books. So it’s overwhelming and takes away from the actual characters that are supposed to be main love interest.
I received this as an ARC, and these are my opinions.
This book was smoking f*n hot. The mouth on both the main characters was off the charts. Cal is a goddamn walking red flag and I would drop to my knees in an instant for his massive ass. And I signed up for this ARC the moment I saw that one of the tropes was hardware down below. It’s my book kryptonite, okay!
I am a walking contradiction and I can admit this about myself. I would never in a million years let a man talk to me the way Cal does, but also, Cal can talk to me anyway he wants… you know?
I very much enjoyed this book. I shed some tears, I laughed - a lot, I had moments of extreme anger at certain character. I felt jealousy at the bond they all shared in their friendship group, that was beautiful to read.
Hannah… I love Hannah. An independent badass with a mouth that just won’t quit. And I loved to watch her soften a bit too.
ti don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t say much more. The point is, I love red flags, hockey, literary pierced dicks, badass women 😉
I was lucky enough to get chosen as an ARC reader for this book and LOVED it. It’s giving everything my enemies to lovers heart needed. The banter? The will they won’t they? Cal finally accepting his feelings and falling head first into the deal end? CHEFS KISS. I’m a sucker for a hockey romance and this checked all my boxes 🫶🏼
Hannah sucks and as a Hannah I want to vote her off the island. As a 31 year old Hannah she acts 21, at best. Just when I thought she would redeem herself she would become more unlikeable. The breakup was stupid. She was a desperate pick me. Overall it was horrendous. She put a strangers hand up her skirt in a club, passed out from drinking too much then accused the man who took care of her of violating her all within about 12 hours. She also made a joke of sexual assault, which made me put the book down for about a week. I wanted to cheer her on for owning her sexuality but then she constantly referred to other women as bimbos for doing the exact same thing she was trying to do.
Then the major info dump in the first few chapters just left me confused. It’s marketed as a standalone but there was SO MUCH focus on these characters from a previous series.
Not to mention at 8% Liam refers to Natalie as his little sister which REALLY had me confused since they’d just told me she was his ex-sister in law. Not having read the previous books it made no sense to me.

Bagging the Blueliner is book one in the Connecticut Comet Hockey series. It is the fourth book by this author, and we meet the couples from the first three books in this as part of their friendship with the main characters.
The book starts off with massive information dumps, basically summarising the three other books by the author. For me that should have been a warning sign, but I thought it would get better once I got past the beginning. It didn’t. I found myself wanting to stop reading so many times. For me, the biggest problem is the writing style. Simply put, it’s poorly written. It’s repetitive and full of small cliches. So many things are repeatedly told or explained. Even full chapters. I won’t go into further detail, but I was also really annoyed by the ending. 2.5 stars from me.
I would only recommend this book to those who have read Siena Trap’s previous books and want a reunion with the characters from the Remington Royals series.
• degradation 😈 • enemies to lovers 🔥 • secret dating 🤫 • forbidden romance ❣️ • coach’s daughter 🫶🏻 • hockey 🏒
i really have no words on how to describe this book. it was absolutely fantastic. such an easy and quick read! i really loved our girl hannah that really had no filter for the life of her. i really connected with these characters and could imagine it smoothly in my head! i totally wish I would have figured out there was another series before this with the other side characters because if i read those first i feel like it woulda flowed together so nicely. but I’ll definitely be starting to read those because I can’t get enough of them all!!
I definitely would recommend!!! and can’t wait for the next book to launch in the series. ❤️
This started out promising when FMC was 21 and MMC 24 and she had this cute little outburst about his stats and how to be a better player, but then there’s a 10 year leap, and FMC is still acting like she’s 21. It’s described as being feisty and her behavior is explained as being the third child in the birth order with significantly older siblings, but as MMC said best: her parents had failed her.
There is also a needless amount of explaining backstories of supporting characters from another series. The descriptions did not make me want to read those stories, plus it was all given away in vivid detail here.
FMC Hannah is desperate and embarrassing. No job and a history of getting fired for making out too much on a previous job? A 31 year old woman walks into a room full of mostly younger and some married men (including her best friend’s husband) and states that if they need ANYTHING—and she does mean ANYTHING—to come to her? I’m out. I want to be clear: I’m not slut shaming. I am all about getting yours, but babe, have some respect for yourself and let them come to you. She speaks of hooking up a lot and always trying to bag hockey players, and I’m used to women like this being the rivals/villains in hockey romances, not the heroine. No shade for wanting to step onto the other side of the track and give those gals a chance, but maybe warn a sister so she doesn’t waste her time.
Also: flip flops and a blazer?!? Flip flops!?!? In Connecticut?? In October??? But mostly: WITH A BLAZER?!?!? My brain won’t let me let this go. It’s filled with rage.

so going into this book, I didn't really know what to expect this is a new author for me but honestly don't let that stop you because this is perfect. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot was also perfect. who doesn't love a little bit of forbidden love?
the mixture between the plot and the spice is great as well, sometimes a book either has too much of one but not the other but I feel the amount of both was great. I also appreciated the level of hockey knowledge as well, sometimes it's difficult to get through a book where the author doesn't know as much about the sport but siena did a wonderful with the knowledge.
hannah and cal were amazing together and I really felt their love together. hannah was so sassy and that girl knew what she wanted and she got it. otherall I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you're into hockey romances. thank you, siena for the arc. can't wait for book two.
We love a good hockey romance here, and this was no exception. It is a breath of fresh air to get a FMC who dishes as good as Hannah does. She’s sassy, independent and knows exactly what she wants, and that’s Cal.
I loved the chemistry between the two and ate up their sexy time (hello pierced MMC)
I’m not a fan of third act break ups unfortunately, and the lack of grovelling made me pout a bit, especially from a woman who was so sassy and head strong but alas, we all have our faults I suppose

“You’re off limits, and that’s enough to tempt me, but goddamn that mouth of yours. It deserves to be pinched for half the shit it says.”
PHEW! This is my first book I’ve read by Siena but it will not be the last 🤭 the dynamic between Cal and Hannah and how their relationship develops is so cute.. and the first jersey scene?? God damn
Omg Siena Trap was not playing playing around with this one!
Hannah came to play and messed around and found out when it came to getting Cal. I loved how they came were pretty much made for each other. I am glad they went against her dad on this and followed the hearts and parts!
On a side note OMG I love how the OG's were still included i. I hate when you fall in love with characters to never hear from them again.
I can't wait to see contine with this series!!!

I felt like it was a cute and easy read. Hockey romances are always fun to get back to. I enjoyed this the whole way through, it just wasn’t mind blowing <3
Holy crap! Hannah and Cal are so perfect for each other! They have such amazing chemistry. Even beyond the chemistry, they are truly soulmates. They really compliment each other. Loved this book and can’t wait to see what is next!!
This book was AMAZING! It was funny and serious and sad and made me angry at points. I thought I had what was going to happen figured out and then BAM something else would happen. This author is great at what she does and I will most definitely be reading more by her! I cannot wait to see what the second book is about. The spicy scenes in this one were HOT! I also loved the side characters. All in all great book! I will definitely be buying a physical copy of his book!
3.8 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quick, easy read. This was my first hockey romance and I enjoyed it. Will I now go search out other hockey romances? No. But this one was good. I liked Hannah. I felt like some of her stubbornness/sass was forced at times but I could see the vibe the author was going for. I really liked how sex positive she was. I enjoy when we get a FMC that isn’t a clueless virgin being taught by the super sexed out man. Why do the men always get to be experienced and free but the women always have to be naive and gullible virgins who’ve never seen a penis before? I just feel like it’s not super realistic so it comes across as if it’s done on purpose to make her desirable but why can’t she be desirable even if she’s likes sex/has had it before. And I’m not saying we can’t have an inexperienced virgin as a FMC because I was her in my mid 20s but again that isn’t the norm so it’s a little annoying when that’s the majority we come across in books because why can’t she be just as experienced as him? If it’s ok for him it’s ok for her. Anyway moving on. Lol. I loved the dynamic of Hannah with her friends. I totally wish I had girlfriends/friendships like that. I’m a little creeped out with her dad. I get him having rules like that with a teenage/early 20s daughter but with a 31yr old it’s just kinda weird. Like that’s really old to be doing that. I liked Cal, he was a little cringey at times. I feel like the Dom parts of his personality didn’t really seem organic but maybe it’s just me. Also the whole breakup part just wasn’t super believable for me. I found myself rolling my eyes. Like he just got majorly hurt and your daughter was just having a breakdown and the first thing you do is say go break her heart again?? That doesn’t make sense. And it doesn’t make sense that Cal would go along with it. He was already saying he was willing to retire and that he loved her that much so him breaking up with her over 4 measly games had me like 🫤. I didn’t get to feel the angst and heartbreak because I was to busy yelling “this is stupid” in my head. Like pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee. 🙄 anyways I enjoyed them together, I found their banter laugh out loud funny at times and I would totally recommend this is hockey romances are your thing. I may pick up the rest of the series at some point.
“I wanted Hannah, just as she was. I knew one thing for sure—I was never letting her go. Living the rest of my life without her wasn’t an option.”
4.5 ⭐️
✨Forbidden Romance ✨Enemies to Lovers ✨Forced Proximity ✨Secret Dating ✨He Falls First
I was so excited to hear we were getting a book on Hannah. I absolutely love her independence and her “no filter” attitude. She’s an incredible woman who deserves her happily ever after, and she finally got it with the perfect guy. Cal is definitely an alpha male, borderline obsessive, but loves with his whole heart. Seeing them come together knowing neither have ever been in a serious relationship was beautiful. Not only did they learn what love is, but they also learned how to love. Cal and Hannah are extremely supportive of each other and the banter between them was addicting and hilarious, making them absolutely perfect for each other.
Siena always does a great job writing romance stories, and including incredible plots within the story. I loved the character development between both Hannah and Cal, individually and together. Siena’s descriptive writing makes it super easy to read—I felt like I flew through this book. I love how it also was informative with her knowledge of hockey and its terminology. I felt like I learned a thing or two reading his book because she was able to provide information about the game, which I thought was awesome. I love how Siena includes the main characters from her Remington Royals series, as the concept of a found family makes my heart so happy for these characters.
Siena Trap has become an auto-buy author for me as I’ve loved every single piece she has written. Huge shoutout and an even bigger thank you to Siena for the ARC of this book. I’m so excited to see how the rest of this series plays out, especially with Benji’s story next!!!
This was my first time reading a book by Siena Trap, and I had so much fun reading this.
I really loved the banter between Cal and Hannah, it had me laughing out loud so many times. From the start of this book 'till the finish I had this huge grin on my face. Hannah says what she thinks and acts like it to and it was fun to read how some things developed for her.
From the moment Cal meets Hannah he is head over heals, and just the fact he waited 10 years!! And still has this enormous crush on her, boy you deserve the world!
I found it really nice that the story was told from dual-POV I really enjoy reading from both points and really getting the whole back-up story why the choices are made. Trap has a really nice writingstyle, making it fun to read and very easy to get sucked into the story.
If you like forbidden romance, ice hockey, lots of banter, enemies to lovers, steamy spcie and he falls first, go and read this book!
Thank you Siena Trap for this ARC to read and review.
Overall it is a good book and I enjoyed it, but it didn’t get me hooked. It didn’t give me the “I do not want to put this down” I need for it to be a great book.
The prologue shows Hanna and Cals first encounter, and then the book takes place 10 years later. For me I wanted more of their enemies faze over this time period for this to be a great enemies to lovers. Because of the lack of that, it felt more rivals to lovers.
Both Hannah and Cal are in their thirties, but it felt more like in their twenties to me. Hannahs way of acting made me think she was like 23 or something. I did like her sassy side, but sometimes she felt immature for being 31 because of it.
Cal is pierced “downstairs” and I do love that. The spice was nothing special, but good.
The side characters make the book better in my eyes.
This was my second book by this author, the first was Feuding with the fashion princess which I also arc read. I enjoyed that book slightly more. However the epilogue made me very intrigued for Benjis book, which will be the next book in the series, so I’ll definitely read that one.
I knew I would love Hannah's book because I adored her crazy, wild, sassy self in the last 3 books. She is a go-getter and didn't care about what others' opinions were of her. I thought it was insane that her dad but every hockey guy on lockdown with Hannah. I felt so bad for her. As a parent, I get it, but at the same time, Hannah is an adult and should have been able to make her own decisions. Granted, she is so wild, and I'm so glad Cal was able to temper that a bit. The angry spice was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Cal and Hannah set the entire book on fire with the tension and their spicy scenes!! I can't wait to see what in the world is going on with Benji and the girl at the end of this book.
Hannah and Cal had me all over the place. They are so cute. Their chemistry is off the charts. You know what they…there is a fine line between love and hate.
I really enjoyed reading this. I feel like I am in so many reading eras right now, but I can’t complain!
*I received this as an ARC, and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review*
This book was an absolute delight! While I initially found it a bit challenging to connect with Hannah's personality, her growth throughout the story completely won me over. Watching both Hannah and Cal evolve and transform as their love blossomed was heartwarming and beautifully portrayed. The character development felt authentic and added so much depth to their journey. As the story progressed, it just got better and better—the pacing, the emotions, and, of course, the spice! The romantic tension was perfectly balanced and left me eagerly turning the pages. I'm thrilled to dive into the rest of the series and see where it takes me next!
3.75/5 rounded up to 4 CW: hospitalization, mention of mental health hospitalization, pregnancy
*Thank you to the author Siena Trap, for providing an ARC for review purposes.
This was a definite enemies to lovers story and I really enjoyed it! Hannah is such a strong and spunky character that was so refreshing to read. As a Canadian, I LOVED how Cal was Canadian, that we got to travel to the Canadian Rockies, and the representation of Canada through the cities mentioned. The found family was so lovely to read and I definitely want to read Siena Trap's other series which feature the stories of Hannah's best friends. There were some grammatical errors and a couple spelling mistakes that I noticed, which knocked down my rating.
I loved this book! It’s everything that I would think enemies to lovers needs! I think when Cal finally accepted his feelings, and fell headfirst, was a big pull in for me! I love a hockey romance, and this book definitely hit all of my expectations. I think the characters were amazing together and reading that I actually felt the love they had for each other. I was selected as an arc and this is my 100% honest review!
ARC REVIEW The plot. The spice. The banter 🤤 🔥 🔥 This. Was. Hot! My first Siena Trap book and it did not dissapoint. The banter between Hannah and Cal was unmatched. Loved it. The 🌶 was definitely spicing. Their chemistry was next level.
One ofmy favourite lines would have to be when Hamnah says "I will not allow you to hold my pussy hostage. She has places to be and people to see." 🌶
Cals praise 👏 was so good. 10/10 would re read this over and over.
