BOOK 1: TO TURN FULL CIRCLE It’s 1909, and Emma Le Goff has found herself completely alone in the world after the death of her parents. Then she finds herself without a roof over her head as her callous landlord evicts her to pay a so-called debt. His son Seth cares deeply about Emma and tries to help, but this only incurs his father’s wrath. Then a handsome stranger comes to Emma’s rescue . . .
BOOK 2: THERE’S NO TURNING BACK Emma is about to be married. It should be a time full of joy as she and her fiancé plan their move from Devon to Canada, but they’re both haunted by the past. Seth is hounded by a jealous ex-lover and Emma finds her affections torn when an old friend returns to her life. Is this future with Seth what she really wants?
BOOK 3: EMMA’S DAUGHTER Now widowed Emma returns home to England with her teenage daughter Fleur, who is just as feisty as her mother was at her age. But being back in Devon triggers bittersweet memories, and with them dreams of a man who is never far from her thoughts. And who is far closer than she thinks . . . Could he be the key to her finally finding happiness, or will Emma discover the hard way that some people are just destined for heartache?
It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good and for Linda Mitchelmore it was losing her hearing to a viral infection that prompted her to write. She signed up to a postal short story writing course with Writing Magazine and has now had some 150 short stories and serials published in national magazines in the UK, Sweden, South Africa and Australia. For Linda, it has come full circle since she signed up for that short story writing course as she is now a preliminary judge for Writing Magazine competitions. Linda has been a member of the RNA's New Writers' Scheme for far too long, but alas she has not made it as a novelist - yet!
This box set is three books about Emma and her journey in life set in the year 1900 when time was different.your heart crud for Emma in you journey in life. I enjoyed the storyline but was confused with the POV some times. I also got frustrated with the stupid (fake married, don't tell child) then later her not telling about her pregnancy it felt childish she loved him he loved her.plus why didn't he tell emma it was over with the ex but she was sick so he waited to tell her that was a kind thing after all plus he stayed away stopped showing any kind of love just a friendship love that was what he felt anyway.yes he cheated but it was not black and white but in his mind it was over he was waiting to tell her (I did find that stupid the telling her went on to long)
This is not my normal read but I do like story's set in another time with a love story and small town. This has that but with a lot of drama after all set in a time when women had to marry and stay home. So lots of secrets. I did see the Seth baby twist coming it was hinted the baby looked small think she was two months old looking not four and I guess back then you couldn't test.and her asking for money was clear what she was after. I found that frustrating with all his money he could of hired a spy to investigate her and the baby. (I would)
I did find bits went on to long and others was fast the in hospital giving birth we missed the her telling her daughter about being pregnant and she didn't called her after giving birth that's rude I felt Emma was to kind for all that?
I loved this box set. I was sad when the books came to an end. I would have loved to find out what the future held for Fleur. That being said, I was thrilled with the ending.
Emma is a wonderful character who goes through many ups and downs. She takes you on a journey of her life that keeps you entertained. Well worth the read.
