Sigh… it’s always disappointing to me when a book that has ALL THE WARNINGS listed still gets banned 😑. Why do people do this 🤦🏻‍♀️? Don’t read the book if the triggers/content info listed isn’t your cup of tea 🤷🏻‍♀️. SMDH 😒 Jenika Snow does an AMAZING job at listing all the tw/cw 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I’ll be brief with my review since this is like 50 pages long and it’s mostly 🔥 lol

Harra’s dressed up as a slurry (you know what I mean 🤣) rabbit and her best friend’s a slurry nurse. It’s a Halloween party and they wanna have fun.

Except when they’re there, a man approaches her after she gets separated from people, and he’s chasing her everywhere 😬😅.

She SHOULD be scared, but she kind of feels something for this masked man 😅. But the terrifying feelings she has are real… but she also gets excited 🫣.

And this masked man is all about chasing her 👀.

Run, Little Rabbit… run 👀

What I liked/loved: POSSIBLE SPOILERS
—ahem… well, the 🔥. It’s 🥵. There’s a looot of it. The masked man ain’t playing when it comes to claiming what’s his 💦 and he’s gonna do it as good as he can 😉

—he enjoys cereal eating 😉. Love me a man who can get down on his knees to eat some cereal 🥵

—primal play 👀. I love chasing scenes 😉

—the noncon/duncon/cnc vibes 😉

—the small plot in there somewhere 🤣

What I wanted more of:
—some softness in the book

—more of their “HEA/HFN” 😏. It just kind of ends. I know the book’s supposed to be kinky/smutty, but some back story would’ve been a nice treat 😅

—I wouldn’t have minded if there wasn’t any blood play 🤣 that’s just my own preference lol

Well, helloooooooooooo to this little dark horse novella. Jenika Snow did NOT come to play with this one. Well, OK, maybe that's exactly what she did. She seriously holds nothing back, and while about halfway through I guessed what the little end twist/reveal would be, please, please, please keep the spice tropes in mind for your sensitivity, if needed. Will provide a quick spoiler explanation below!

Sexual intercourse between the FMC and MMC is treated as firmly non con/dub con throughout the story. The reveal at the end is that they are already in a relationship (and are step-siblings, a little extra taboo sprinkle) and this was CNC roleplay, consenting between both parties. So while the reveal makes it CNC, please be aware that before the reveal, and even after in a roleplay way, this ABSOLUTELY reads as non con/dub con.

Our FMC finds herself trapped in a Halloween carnival, stalked and preyed on by a masked man with a knife. In a deliciously sexually charged game of cat and mouse, she doesn't know up from down, left from right, or if she truly wants to win or lose.

Quick, fast-paced writing, mastery of the spice tropes, and an unapologetically dirty magic make this one a can't miss from Jenika!

Run little rabbit by Jenika Snow had me in a chokehold right from the start! This is a novella so not a long read but omg it’s good!

I finished listening to the audiobook and started it again immediately after finishing I did not want it to end!

Speaking of the audiobook, Grayson Owen’s and Shiloh James did such an amazing job with this one! It’s Single POV but duet style narration and god damn they do an excellent job at brining this book to life!

Do be warned this is a dark taboo romance with no plot just smut! Be sure to check the trigger warnings before reading!

Harra honey, are you okay after all of that? On one hand I am very jealous and on the other hand I feel like I should be asking if you if you need some water. Maybe a heating pad? How about some ibuprofen? Maybe a hibernation period to recoup?

Jenika is known for some seriously decadent smut, but this book was so smutty it was banned on Amazon for its content. Which of course you know made me want to read it even more. Was it worth it? Absofuckinlutely!

Not really going to go into what this book is about because the blurb is plenty to go on, but I do want to say please for the love of carbs check your triggers! This book has them in abundance! And second thing, the plot? Yeah, we don't know her. This is simply a one handed read for your pleasure don't think too much into that. Just enjoy it!

Apparently, Run, Little Rabbit by Jenika Snow has been banned on Amazon for being too dark and kinky. The author said this is the kinkiest and smuttiest book she has ever written. It looks like the paperback version is still available on Amazon. The author said you can still get the book on her website and on other retail places. I read the book on Kindle Unlimited before it was banned. The book was not my cup of tea. I don’t like the h getting harmed by the hero even if the h is into that kind of stuff like with this story. The author did list content warnings on her facebook page, so I had an idea of what I was getting into reading it. I read at my own discretion. I figured I would give it a try bc I wanted to know if I was right about the twist in the story. I have liked other books by this author.

It’s a fitting read for Halloween. I did like the creepy carnival setting. I didn’t mind the skull mask. It was too much for me.

Fright Night Carnival



Every year around Halloween this town holds a carnival dubbed Fright Night Carnival. Harra(h) plans to go to this carnival with her best friend Bethany. Harra mentions being in college, but her exact age isn’t given. Harra plans to wear a slutty bunny costume(her words) to the carnival. The top is basically a bra and she has on a short skirt that barely covers her butt.

While they are getting ready, they get into a discussion about Harra’s crazy stepbrother Zareth. Bethany doesn’t like him and is scared of him. You do not want to get on Zareth’s bad side bc he does crazy stuff. Harra mentions that Zareth has run a lot of people out of town and the police do nothing. He likes to break into people’s homes that he has a grudge against and try to drive them insane. He will move objects around in their houses and put stuff back. He turns lights on and off. Also, he has stolen cars from driveways and parked the cars up the block. Bethany says the stepbrother is acting weirder on the night of Fright Night carnival, but Harra isn’t fazed by it.

Harra and her friend walk around the carnival and Harra sees this group of guys wearing masks. She pays close attention to the leader of the group.

"But it was the one in front-the assumed leader of the pack-who wore the skull mask that attention. He was the biggest , male I’d ever seen, with very clear muscular definition that was visible even beneath his layers of clothes."



Harra gets the sense that she is being watched. The group she is with decides to go to the haunted fun house. She ends up getting separated from the group when in the haunted house. This is where she comes face to face with the masked man. The cat and mouse game begins….

Cat and Mouse Game

There is this cat and mouse game going on in the story. This masked man keeps catching her and doing sexual things to her. Then, he tells her to run, little rabbit. It starts out in the haunted house, where she gets locked in a storage closet with him. Then, he tells her to run. He finds her in a big bouncy house where there is a DJ and tons of people. There is even a ball pit in the bouncy house. There are kids in the bouncy house too but no one pays attention to them bc everyone is distracted. Finally, they end up in the woods.

If you are a little ocd this story might send your ocd into overdrive. There is a lot of cutting with a knife. I hope the knife started out clean. At one point, she is running through the forest. She gets cut by branches and she falls to the forest floor. I’m thinking all her wounds are getting dirt/debri in them and she could get an infection. Animals defecate on that forest floor.



At some point in the story Harra loses her shoes, so her feet get all torn up too. At one point, when they are on the forest floor, the masked man throws/flips his knife up into the air over them and catches it by the blade. He rubs his blood all over her from head to toe. Then, he was screwing her with the hilt of the knife. I don’t know if those two will make it to old age.

There is blood play. The only time ok with that in a book is if it’s paranormal vampire romance. This guy was acting like some vampire. He licks her blood off of a knife. He licks blood off of her etc….



There is a twist in the story that I guessed early on in the story. I don’t think it’s hard to put two and two together. The masked man is her stepbrother Zareth. I figured it was him. It turns out, the whole thing was consensual role play. Zareth likes to play cat and mouse games. They like to do this crazy role play stuff where they push the limits. It seems like they have been together for a while. I don’t know how long they have been step siblings or how long this secret relationship has been going on for.

“I want it however you’ll give it to me, Zareth. I told you not to hold back before we started. I consented to everything you had planned”

I could see these two ending up as a news headline. Wicked Games Gone Wrong. Young people die while engaging in devious sex acts. I don’t know who was crazier between the two.



“I was his. He was mine. And we were both f**ked up in the best way.”

Story just told in Harra’s pov

Taboo step brother/step sister (I guessed that twist in the beginning). They like to role play. At the beginning of the story Harra says that her step brother is into deviant sex acts, she knows first hand. I thought either they have been doing the nasty together or she saw him with other girls. It never said how long they have been step siblings.

I’m assuming that Zareth is Harra’s first and only lover. I think he would maim or kill any man that came sniffing around his “little rabbit”. I don’t know if he has been with other women before. It didn’t give any history. You can think what you want in that regard.

Non/con- not all as it seems. It seems like everything between them is non- consensual. At the end of the story, it reveals that it was all consensual role play. It seems like Harra and her step brother have been in a secret relationship for a while. They like to do these crazy role playing games and push limits.

Knife play- He keeps cutting her throughout the story. He doesn’t cut deep, but still enough to draw blood. He cuts her butt cheek when she runs off. He cuts her thighs. He throws/flips knife in the air over them and he catches it by the blade. When on the ground in the woods, he sticks the hilt of his knife up her whooha and screws her with it.

Blood play- He uses blood to lubricate himself before banging her. He cuts her and licks her blood. He licks blood off of a knife. When on forest floor, he cuts his palm and rubs his blood all over her from head to toe.

Exhibitionism At one point, Harra runs into a giant bouncy house. There are a lot of people in this bouncy house. There is a DJ in there and a party going on and even little kids are in the bouncy house. The masked man catches Harra in the corner of the bouncy house and goes down on her etc... No one is paying attention to them though. I don’t like exhibitionism type stuff in books.

Praise kink- He calls her a good girl

He calls her “dirty little whore” “little slut”, “Little rabbit” I don’t like when the hero calls the heroine whore and slut during sex.

No epilogue or time jump. The story ends the night of the carnival.

Why would this book be banned from Amazon is an astonishment to me??

I have literally read and enjoyed many more "questionable" books than this one. It has trigger warnings, plus there is a valid explanation at the end. Don't even think I should include it on my shelf - seriously dark stuff because of the ending...

Personally thought, this might have been a bit disturbing in the beginning, but then it makes total sense and thought the plot was very original, therefore 4 stars! My advice is read the TW, and in case there is something that bothers you even a little, don't read it!

I was lucky enough to get an ALC of the audiobook for this. This book is perfect for those fall/spooky vibes. It's a very short book, there's pretty much no plot to this, but it's a fun quick read.

Read this in an hour. If it would have taken any longer I would have DNF’d. There’s no plot, don’t look for one. I’m not going to yuck someone’s yum but this was absolutely not for me.
