A warm and sweet friends to lovers romance in a supernatural setting where this particular pack of wolves owns and runs a bakery, and are trying to break from traditions. Of course, there is trouble brewing in the background, as not everyone things the same, and while it is an important plot point, it is Sera and Parisa's relationship that drive the story.

It is enjoyable and cute, not overly complex and low angst, and I look forward to seeing what else is in store for this pack. Sera and Parisa are an adorable couple, and they have a strong pack with them.

This book just feels a bit chaotic and like there’s no real point to the story.. I was left a bit frustrated by the randomness of the story progression and felt like there wasn’t enough character growth and good world building to make up for that.

I would have liked to have seen more working in the bakery action and more organic side character interactions rather than only introducing characters to help the main character realise something or so that they can voice thoughts..

Promising premise but overall a bit of a letdown for me personally. However if you like werewolves, found families and happy endings and are not too bothered by somewhat lazy writing you can definitely give this a try :)

For me it's an okey book. The main characters have good chemistry and their relationship is cute, though It is already there from the beggining of the book, It does not advances much imo. I would not call this a slowburn, more of a "oh shit, i guess we've been acting as girlfriends all this time". There is actually kind of a big conflict in the plot but being "slice of life" It kind of happens in the background, mindwhile the main character spends all the book selfdepriacinting herself, and suffering over a family that you will never really know nothing about, and about things that happened long ago and are just vaguely explained. The book is full of mentions of big conflicts and life altering moments but none of it is explained, I found that frustrating.

The world building is confusing for me too, kind of generic. I could not say in wich year the story is suppoused to take place, or for how long the characters have had being around.

it's an okey read but i felt kind of left out of the story and the world

The whole story had an air of cozy Cottagecore feel, I can’t explain how. Anyway, I admire the highlight on the wolfish side of the story. The side characters were amusing to read about. The vampire bestfriend was a refreshing addition and diversifies the characters. I’d love to read more about their world.

I wanted something easy and cozy to spend the evening and I feel like it did the trick. However, I couldn’t see much point to this story. The world building was practically non-existent which was my main problem. I suppose the relationship was sort of cute though, to end on a positive note.

This was an okay story for me. I felt like more could've been done with the supernatural lore- it felt like you could remove the werewolves & vamps and nothing about the story would've changed. Overall, a cute story just probably wasn't for me (2.5 rounded 3 stars).

En realidad un poco aburrido. Estoy acostumbrada a leer un poco más de acción cuando se trata de mujeres lobo y vampiros y lucha. Y aquí hay tanta paz que me desesperó demasiado.

DUDE WAKE UP A NEW SAPPHIC WEARWOLF STORY JUST DROPPED! woof! 🐺

Hey Bella, where you been loca?🐺 ok enough wolf jokes! Let's get into the review:

Review: 3.7/5✨️

Violet Moon is a deeply charming love story between an insecure and anxious beta named Sera and her detached dominant/confident alpha Parissa. Sera and Parissa are the leaders of their pack, who spend most of their time together by the fire, eating sweets from the packs bakery and enjoying eachothers time and advice, as ¿¡friends?! As tensions grow between wolves, and people are put to the test, their relationship will also be put through the ringer.

Violet Moon, although it took me some time to get into the story, was an adorable, gay panic indusing story of love and family in a supernatural world. The romance was wholesome and slowburn, where boundaries were valued but tensions were high. I enjoyed seeing the characters growth, and the large representation of identities and mental health representation. Do not be fooled by the cute cover this book does touch on difficult topics but to me this made the book more lovely and gave it depth!

The book was very cozy with its fall bakery vibes, and I really enjoyed all the fun characters and their dynamics. The book is very fun and silly at times, especially with the spiciness.

Slight spoiler:
The smexxy scenes were SO GOOD! but be warned it is very slowburn which I loved!

I highly recommend this book for all the wearwolf lovers who want to read some adorable and cozy gay panic between two GURLS! ✨️

Violet Moon is a cozy paranormal f/f romance book about a werewolf pack that runs a bakery. I just loved that premise and knew I had to read it. I really liked the start of this book and the premise, but the further I got the more these little things started adding up and by the end I just wanted to finish it so I could move on the next book. Which makes me sad as this book had a lot of great things, but there were too many things that didn't work for me that diminished my enjoyment.

Violet Moon is told from single point of view of Sera, the beta of the pack. She's important for the running of the pack and is close to the alpha. Her friend who is a vampire keeps teasing her about her close bond with her alpha and eventually she realizes she's in love with alpha Parisa. The romance progresses slowly as do the other plot lines. Then there is the whole thing with Parisa who is acting secretive and the pack isn't sure what's going on at first.

I loved the cozy vibe of this book and the whole premise of a werewolf pack that runs a bakery. It was just so fun and is what made me pick up this book in the first place and what kept me reading. despite that there were just too many things that I felt missed the mark for me. And these things kept adding up throughout the book. Things I hoped would get explained later on or get more details never got there and new issues popped up.

While I loved the bakery part, at times I wanted more of that as I thought it was fun to read about. There were werewolves, but again I wanted to see more of that and how it all worked. Pari and Sera have a clear connection, but I didn't quite feel their romance and would've liked more of that. I felt like the author took the advice "show don't tell" a bit too far, because at times I just wanted more information about everything and just have some things cleared up. It all dragged on throughout the book and by the end I was still left with a lot of my questions.

Sera seems capable as a beta to the pack, but also has her own worries and doubt. She has quite the low self esteem at times and I thought this would be a major plot point that would get resolved by the end of the book. It does get resolved, but more in the way it I had expected. It just kinda disappears instead of actually gets addressed. There's also hinted so much about her past and how she became a werewolf, but again we never actually get the whole story. I liked her interactions with her vampire best friend as well as seeing her interact with some of the pack members.

I also didn't fully feel the romance. Sera and Pari are cute together and have some nice moments, but I just felt like something was missing to fully make me feel their romance. The progression of their romance also felt a bit off. I liked the friends to lovers theme and how it takes Sera some time to figure out she loves Pari, but then after that there are some weird scenes and it felt like they were there to add some conflict. But then those conflict points kinda disappear without me feeling like the points really got addressed.

There's also a plot line surrounding an antagonist, but it felt the antagonist was a plot device and not a real character. His motivations felt flat and didn't really make much sense and it just felt like it was there to show some character change in the alpha. I kinda feel like I would've enjoyed this book more if it had either leaned more into the conflict and action or even more into the cozy side and have even less conflict.

There are a lot of side characters in the pack, but there isn't a whole lot about them. There are a few like Jo, Edger, Wilma and Emmaline that have more prominent roles in the story and have more personality. The rest is more on the sidelines. I noticed this will be a series so I assume there will be more about these characters in future books.

I also felt this book lacked a bit when it came to the werewolves and world building. Only things that are directly relevant to the events are mentioned and even then I felt like all there was is snippets. I was left with so many questions like how the pack was created, how Sera became a werewolf, how anyone becomes a werewolf, what the old and news way are when it comes to pack, which type of supernaturals are out there etc. There just is so very little explained and I kept thinking that would happen later, but it never does.

To summarize: I really liked the premise and set up for this book. It's a cozy paranormal f/f romance about a werewolf pack who runs a bakery. I enjoyed the start of the book, but the further I got the less I enjoyed it. Lots of small issues started adding up and by the end I was just glad I could finish it so I could start a new book. There were things like the characters, world building, past and some plot elements not being fleshed out enough with too many questions remaining. Then there is Sera and her self doubt issues that never really get addressed, but do disappear. I didn't really feel the romance and the bit of drama felt off and got resolved without actually being addressed. There is an antagonist who feels like a plot device instead of a character. I just wished I could've enjoyed this one more as I love cozy stories.

A pretty simple, cozy read. To be honest, it’s not going to be that memorable for me personally but it was still enjoyable. I think I just tend to like my books very dramatic and intense, whether in terms of the plot or the feelings of the characters.

This is a very safe, warm read. I mean, the pack owns a bakery so that was clearly the direction from the beginning. The romance is cute, pretty classic friends to lovers even with the werewolf dynamics thrown in. Most of the conflict is internal to the characters and there is one external conflict that is easily resolved.

Having been scarred by Tw*light with sparkly vamps and rugged shirtless werewolves, I had some trepidation picking this up to read, but it’s good.
Cosy fantasy? Is that a thing? Female werewolves who run a bakery, with vampires next door, the mention of merpeople and cat shapeshifters. It’s a well written tale with a decent plot, well rounded characters and a touch of spice. The love story is charming and builds naturally.

I found myself wanting a lot more from this book to be honest. I wish the author had spent more time building a story around the characters or to have more compelling characters even. It felt like we were just dropped into the middle of the story with very little action or depth to it.

Enjoyable

Overall an enjoyable read. I will say I was a bit confused on certain parts as there really is no backstop to any of the characters but several references to it.
I liked it enough and look forward to the next one

A romance that unfolds like candle wax melting—slow, steady, and mesmerizing

Some books don’t just tell a story—they create a feeling, an atmosphere, a world so warm and immersive that it lingers long after the last page. Violet Moon is exactly that kind of book.

Reading this felt like curling up with a steaming mug of cocoa, wrapped in a soft blanket while rain patters gently against the window. It’s a slow burn in every sense—unrushed, deliberate, the kind of love that builds like melting candle wax, pooling over time into something steady and undeniable.

At its heart, Violet Moon is a sapphic friends-to-lovers romance woven with tenderness, longing, and a quiet depth that sneaks up on you. Sera and Parisa aren’t characters that demand attention with grand, sweeping gestures—instead, their love grows in the small, stolen moments between duty and desire, between hesitation and hope.

Sera, the devoted Beta, is all quiet strength and self-doubt, struggling to balance her responsibilities with the emotions she tries so hard to suppress. Parisa, her best friend and Alpha, radiates a confidence that both anchors and unravels Sera in the best way. Their dynamic is a beautiful push and pull, a dance of knowing glances and unspoken words, a longing so soft yet so powerful that it aches.

But Violet Moon is more than just romance. It’s a love letter to found family, to quiet resilience, to the beauty of taking your time. The world of the Pitch Mountain Pack is rich and inviting, filled with side characters who feel just as real and layered as the protagonists. From the warmth of the bakery to the deep-rooted pack traditions, every scene breathes life into the story, making you wish you could step into its pages.

This is not an instant, whirlwind romance—it’s a gentle, lingering kind of love that feels all the more rewarding when it finally unfolds. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, high-drama story, this isn’t it—but if you crave a book that feels like a long conversation by firelight, a whispered confession in the quiet of night, a slow build that’s worth every second, then Violet Moon is for you.

💫 Final thoughts:
• If you love slow-burn romances that simmer rather than ignite instantly, you’ll adore this.
• If you want werewolves with depth, heart, and complex emotions, welcome home.
• If you’re looking for a sapphic love story that prioritizes connection over conflict, this one’s a must-read.

5/5 stars—A story that doesn’t just warm your heart, but settles deep in your soul.

“Love is pretty selfish. I’ve been to enough weddings to know all that love is patient, love is kind stuff, but love is also selfish. It wants and it needs. It pleads for what it wants and refuses to let anything else get in the way."

2/5 stars and I DNF'd at 81% I just am so sad about that.
Ugh, I wanted to like this so bad. I found myself just not caring about the ending. I went through so many emotions reading this, the biggest one being boredom. I know its supposed to be cozy and sweet where this family runs a bakery...but they're also werewolves. Maybe my expectations were to give a little more fantasy and shifter romance vibes... but really I just could not connect to the two FMC's at all.

Sera was SO unconfident, to the point I just felt bad for her. She never did much other than pull the "I can't bake, I ruin everything I touch, I shouldn't be her second in command" like honey.... you wouldn't have that job and literally everyone in your life is telling you its not trueee, please get a backbone you're a WOLF. Then Parisa truly was not really in the book other than short spurts of moments, she was so secretive throughout the first half so we didn't get to know her character at all.

These women are supposed to be centuries old but we got nothing about how they come to be, the world around them, their pasts. Parisa being so secretive then completely DEMANDING an answer from Sera when she didn't want to talk felt really hypocritical. Then it went from hiding their feelings to 100% I love you. It just didn't grip me as much as I wanted to and I had to let this one go.

I hope other people really have a fun time with this one it seems like it should be so cute and sweet but 80% in they barely get together. My mood changes too much to keep going.

i definitely liked violet moon in the beginning, and i think if you're looking for any of these things:

cozy, comfy vibes
lesbian werewolves
coffee and tea
a slew of cute, quirky characters

that violet moon is going to be your cup of tea! however, it just wasn't for me at this point in my life. i thought i was going to love the book, but there were some dealbreakers that made this a 2 out of 5 read for me.

the pacing

the pacing of this book was sometimes questionable. i found it jarring to be moving between the settings while reading, and felt they weren't as developed as they could have been. although the entirety of the story felt slow-paced, it felt like anything that had a semblance of a plot was just skimmed through. it made the book hard to digest, and because of that, i am unable to recall emotions i had while reading it. maybe just... bored?

the characters

they also felt all over the place. i was more interested in the side characters than the two main characters. i also felt like the was poorly written and awkward.

the ending

sappy ending that i predicted from the book cover and synopsis. it really did nothing for me.

i have concluded from this read that i am more of a vampire girlie than a werewolf girlie.

2.5 stars, while having a very good potential this book didn't really deliver or hit the spot. There was a lot of backstory missing, certain things kept on repeating (like mentioning at least 3 times Edgar and his books and how they always had the same plot...and that the mc always got flustered talking about them), also the fact that the mc is soooo whiny and insecure throughout the whole book. It's okay if you show a part of that but then develop the character, show their growth, not that their insecurities repeat all the time, it gets old. The book did not go into any specifics why certain characters are the way they are, what's the history behind them? how is the pack build? how does one become a werewolf? what is the background of the pack? what were the old ways and what are new? like there were so many details missing and in that sense the book was very generic. It was also missing a few edits in between. If this one, or maybe the sequel (if it comes out) were written and build more concretely and delved into the background I think it has a great potential for blowing up. Who doesn't enjoy a sapphic werewolf romance here and there ;)

Rating this book 3 stars. Very easy to read but can be a bit slow and repetitive at times.

The first half of the book does feel like we are reading the POV of a side character. It feels like LI is the Main Character in a story that we know is happening but we don’t know the details. It is a bit frustrating but I also think that might be what the author intended for this book so

I really did not like the character Jo. I found that character to be annoying and I would lose interest in what was going on when they showed up. It felt out of place how much focus that character got compared to all the other side characters.

We get some snippets of Seraphine’s backstory but not that much. I would have liked to find out more. However, it looks like this is supposed to become a series so it would make sense that this first book doesn’t answer all the questions.

Overall it was a good read and I would be interested in reading the next book that comes out.

Notes
- Not much confirmation on the sexual orientation of the MC. Seraphine is likely bisexual as there is mention of her previously dating men.

- A couple of kissing scenes and 1 sex scene.

I enjoyed this wholesome werewolf romance. It was more of a slowburn than I was expecting, but I felt like it worked well. This was an interesting take on the whole werewolf concept and I liked it. Lemon didn't get too bogged down in all the nitty gritty and details of how everything worked, but from what they showed us it was an interesting take on an old classic.

I loved Sera and Parisa. They were so wholesome and sweet, even when things got spicy. I do wish that Lemon had explained what the little terms of endearment that Parisa uses with Sera meant. I had to google, and it suggested she was speaking Uzbek, but google can't always be trusted. I also liked the all the side characters that float through the book. Although I was left curious as to what exactly Hugh was.

There is no third act breakup as they don't get together until the third act really. There was still plenty of things going on to drive the plot, but this is definitely more of a slowburn than a lot of werewolf romance books with all the insta-love stuff.

Could have been better

I like the premise but the execution was bad. So much of the story is just fluff. Little conversations. That aren't important. Sera despite being a wolf for decades has no self confidence. And despite 'supposedly'having a close bound with her Alpha they don't actually communicate very well.I think the world building could have been better. There were a lot of wasted threads. The parts with Jo and Seras memory problems were a waste of time. And for a small pack of 11 there was so much worry about tradition and what others would think. Like why? Also This is a pet peave but I think Alpha duels are stupid because wolves just don't do them. They fight together as a pack not one on one with some outsider wolf. It's like Pari and Sera care so much for the pack but the pack doesn't back them up? Any way I wanted to skim so much of this book. Like I said it was a good premise but the exacution could have been written better.

I wasn't expecting a story about werewolves who bake to pull me in, but that it did. I love the writing and story-telling in this book - Mel E. Lemon really deserves to be more well-known! This cozy story is really well written, and I hope the series gets more attention! I love the characters and the world, and being able to choose to be turned into a werewolf is such an interesting concept. I'm really looking forward to learning more about the world and the other characters, and I really loved Parisa and the aspects of her heritage that were brought forth (not many characters of Persian heritage in stories these days).
