As it turns out, the underworld is a real place. Only, he calls it hell now and runs it like a well-oiled machine. Says it with a straight face, as if the whole idea wasn’t absolutely insane. Oh, who’s he , you ask? That would be Hades... god of the underworld… king of hell… the myth, the man, the legend that makes combat boots and cargo pants look divine. He’s real, and unfortunately, so is his infamous cold shoulder. Scratch all that fire and death, the man is a solid wall of ice only a fool would try to melt. A fool, or a human woman with no filter and no memory. ___________________ When a human woman named Angel is found in hell, alive , everything is turned upside down. Her presence is an act of aggression toward his territory and Hades has no intention of stopping until he finds out who did it. With no memory of how she got there or why, Angel becomes the threat Hades needs to reconcile. But the more he digs, the darker the web weaves until her truth is liable to bring the entirety of hell down on his head.
Maybe the whole pantheon. And as for Angel? She's suddenly surrounded by gods that bite and drink blood. Regular old Monday, right? Well maybe it would be if she could remember anything. Her past is missing at best and traumatic at worst. So why the hell should she want to remember it? Unfortunately for her, Hades doesn't care what she wants, only what he to punish whoever broke the rules. Uncovering the truth, though, will depend on whether she can accept her fate and her place among the gods before the next war breaks out.
This is not a myth retelling! The myth is purely an influence, along with other elements. So some characters will not appear in their classic mythological sense. Expect the unexpected.
Reader discretion is advised. 18+ mature content and erotica. Some scenes may be triggering for victims of sexual abuse or assault, though there is no rape. All sex is consensual, though it may be graphic. This series contains a throuple (an exclusive relationship between 3 consenting adults) and HEA (happily ever after).
First off, wow. This book was incredible. Second, I can’t believe the massive cliffhanger at the end. I NEED the next book more than I need sleep or air. Onto the characters, I loved the gradual depth of Angel. She starts of as a very mysterious character and you can’t help hating Hades for how he treats her at the start. But I loved watching their relationship form. Don’t get me wrong, their relationship isn’t fully developed yet but seeing how Hades would subtlety soften towards her as the book continued. Hades is a bastard though. He continuously hurt Angel despite knowing it was wrong and justified it because he is the king of hell and he needed to save face or because she represented some threat of danger. And I hope Angel makes him grovel in the next book.

Review: When I first read this book on Readict two years ago, I loved it. I fell in love with Angel but couldn't really relate or sympathize with Hades. This new version of Fated to Fall is so much better. I absolutely loved how much in-depth the story is. My heart broke for Angel, but I also fell in love with her all over again. And I understood Hades, his motives, his feelings. Sierra did a phenomenal job on this masterpiece!
Finding herself in an unknown place, confused and her world turn completely upside down. Angel is faced with Hades, the God of hell. Her presence is an act of aggression towards his realm, and with no memory of how she ended up there, Angel becomes a threat Hades needs to reconcile. And he has no intention of stopping until he finds out who put Angel there and why.
I was not quite sure what to expect going into this book but I knew the premise and was pretty excited. The world building was well done even if it was a bit dense in the beginning and made it hard to follow. 25 pages later however, I was hooked. Like a fish on a fishing line. The story was so immersive and the characters so interesting with their dynamics. Knowing this was a work in progress meant there were a few grammatical and syntax errors but nothing so major it distracted from the flow of the story. The thing that kept me on the edge of my seat and had me finishing this book in practically hours was the mystery. One I’m still a bit irritated about when I realized this was a series because I do not have a single patient bone in my body. It was so well done, giving me enough options and red herrings that every option seemed possible and implausible at the same time. This is the first work I’ve read from this author and I ran to recommend it to my friends upon finishing. Emotional, erotic and hilarious at times, this was a truly fun read and great introduction to the author. Extremely well done
What can I say? I love this series, absolutely thrilled at the new content and background development - the author has outdone herself to really take apart and put back together the timeline and give us more of the characters we love (and new ones too!!) and allow us to better understand and contextualise how they got to where they are in the present. If you think you’ve read this book already - no you haven’t. Read it again with the updates and then once you’re done start it over again for good measure - it’s such an easy read and such a gorgeously developed world to get lost in and I for one cannot wait to see the new editions of books 2 and 3 once they’re ready - but in the meantime I highly recommend sinking your teeth into anything else by this author too - it’s such a joy to read her work :)
Read this originally online and loved it, and the rewrite did not disappoint!! Dramatic, heartwarming, emotional, I couldn’t put it down! Getting to experience a story I loved with a more fleshed out story was so fun. It was like reading it for the first time again. I can’t wait to see where this story goes in the future!
