Worst one yet. Why am I still reading these. Jessie and Ryan need to be fired expeditiously for egregious human rights violations. Too bad these books are written by AI now… at least it seems that way
Bruh, I accidentally read book #34 of a SERIES!! NOT STAND ALONE. I was confused half the book before I figured it out. That’s probably why the killer being Greg was so anti-climatic because I don’t really know Jessie as a character because logically, WHAT KIND OF A SERIES HAS 30+ BOOKS?! Bruh.

Jessie and Ryan are under extreme pressure to find who is killing the ultra-rich women in Los Angeles. The crimes are accelerating and all of them happened in less than 24 hours. Every lead they have ends with nothing until they start looking at the cases from other perspective. It's when an on-line influencer is taken hostage that everything becomes clear. Hannah is having problems at the university and is finding difficult to control her urges and Jessie is having uneasy feelings as well. The story has a good plot and is entertaining but it could have been better proofread. I thank Ms. Pierce for this ARC.
Oh my goodness! It was so good to be back with Jessie and Ryan and company! I've missed them!
This was an amazing book. Even though some time (and several other books) have come and gone since I last read book #33, it was like a reunion when I started this gem.
How Blake Pierce is able to keep the continuity and spirit and personalities so distinctly and separately and seamlessly within his many different series I will never understand.
But I will forever and always be grateful that he does!
And I'll be honest, at the end of each of his novels, when he ends it with twist and a "...", my head automatically pipes in with the cartoon voice saying "dum dum duuummmm!!!"
😂
Until next time, Keep writing, Blake. I doubt I'll EVER catch up and read everything you've written BEFORE anything you have is published but that's ok. That's what goals are for, right?
Predictable but entertaining. Why is it that the majority of crimes are done by people who justify the crimes - rich people aren’t being kind, aren’t appreciating their money, aren’t paying attention to their kids… so someone in their lives, maybe a lawyer, gardener, stylist… decides the women need to pay a price.
It is interesting now how many different weapons have been used in 34 books.
Can we have some crimes that don’t happen to the rich people? Like that is more justifiable. Or can Jessie and Ryan catch the criminal sooner? And why do all these criminals have past issues. That doesn’t justify their crimes - mommy issues, daddy issues, spouses…
Hannah’s job and what happened to her in this book - predictable. I predicted this 2 books ago.
Kat’s story and her need for info about her attacker - Ash… I don’t know what to think there.
LAPD Homicide Detectives Jessie Hunt and her husband and partner Ryan Hernandez investigate a murder case within high-society circles and interview a wide variety of suspects, including a tech mogul, while an associate profiler assesses a jailed assassin, with interesting conclusions. It's fast-paced action all the way, as Jessie and Ryan must put their careers and lives on the line in a shocking twist you won't have seen coming. "Jessie Hunt delivers another gripping psychological thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. In this latest installment, someone is targeting wealthy women married to ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI) with fortunes of $30 billion or more. Jessie and her husband, Ryan, are thrust into a chilling investigation to uncover the identity of the killer and the shocking motive driving these murders. And believe me, the revelation behind the serial killings will leave you speechless. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait for the next one!"
A typical Jessie Hunt story - this time about the ultra - ultra rich. They have all the same problems as everyone does only they get all the press when they are killed. Good twist showing the totally warped and dysfunctional mind of someone who never sought help to overcome the outrage they had to suffered but let it resolve by killing.
I’ve been reading the Jessie Hunt series from the first book. It has been an interesting storyline to follow for those of you that enjoy a light mystery story.
Someone is viciously killing ultra rich women and Jessie and Ryan have got to find the killer. Jesse's sister, Hannah, has someone new who asks for her help. Jessie's friend, Kat, is still having a hard time not blaming Ash Pierce for her fiancée's death and asks Dr Lemmon to help by seeing Ash. Things really escalate fast in this book! Loved it!
