This town needs a superhero. They're about to get one.
Sure, death by semi truck wasn’t fun, and being isekai’d into the sky was a rough entrance. But hey, I was alive. Reborn in a quaint little town in a magical world.
I ended up rooming with a floppy-eared puppy girl and a bubbly hobgoblin who run a bookshop together. Found myself a job, too. Town sheriff! And I’m just in time, because orc gangsters are imposing a reign of fear over the residents, slowly crushing my roommates’ dreams for their bookshop.
Oh, did I mention that the same twist of fate that brought me here also gave me superpowers, making me stronger and deadlier than anyone in this world? Taking out the trash is gonna be fun!
This slice of life men’s adventure contains a variety of adoring monster a clingy harpy, a sweet dog girl, a streetwise goblin, a fun-loving hobgoblin, and a mysterious succubus.
I liked most of the book, but I just couldn't get past the fact that the MC cheats on his girlfriend. Twice. No remorse, just sad that his girlfriend is sad.
"It was probably a good thing that I’d lost control with Poppina. If I needed to make a blunder in order to learn a lesson, it was better that it happened among friends."
Sure, it's always better to hurt the people you care about rather than strangers. What's worse is it's utterly unnecessary. The author tries to pass it off as a learning experience, but he goes on to kiss someone else later while his girlfriend is away on a trip that was supposedly planned but not mentioned anywhere. And of course she comes home and immediately forgives him, because what woman could possibly have values that are incompatible with the MC's harem dream, right?
Kind of makes me feel like a dirtbag for enjoying the story at all.
First - I kind of loathe books where the MC is cruel and overly domineering. I like writing where the MC is thoughtful and caring - where the view is one of partnership rather than ‘love slaves’. This book really ticks all the boxes I appreciate. Already have the second installment queued up, just taking a moment to express how much I enjoyed this first installment.
Average but fun harem book. No major surprises not tons of sexy time. The MC's powers are a bit OP but there is no descriptions or framework and he is one of the few with powers. Secondary characters are Good enough and not completely two-dimensional. I enjoyed the fact that not every girl wants to be part of a harem. Some convincing was required. Still amusing light read.
STS is a cute little story with a decent setup. There are plenty of characters and areas of potential conflict introduced within. The story is a little bit disjointed in places and would benefit from flushing out those areas to make them flow a bit better. I'll certainly give the second book a try.
Loved the concept with this one. Lots of fun, with fun, naughty scenes. And a storyline that keeps you engaged throughout the work. Highly recommend and truly hope there will be more in the future.
This series is a great read with a great harem cast of monster girls. Warm and funny moments contrast with tense action sequences. The MC is no fool and takes a cynical approach to handling villains. Read this series please.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
I managed to get a third of the way through but couldn’t read any more. Skimmed the rest of the book and it was more of the same, total trash, not even a real story behind it. Please don’t write anymore, I don’t think the world can take it.
DNF. Characters felt more like caricatures. No real personality to speak of. Not enough world building and what there was felt poorly put together. Got to 26% and didn’t care about anyone or anything going on.
Needs a little more bad guy. I know its a slice of life book but the fight just didn't do it for me. Seems to be setting up a new villain so I have hopes.
