I've read countless tales of love and seduction…but none as intoxicating and terrifying as his…
When the star of all my recent fantasies walks through the door of my cozy little bookstore, I can’t help but feel like my filthy thoughts have somehow summoned him here. He hardly ever comes down into the village, and he’s never been in my store before.
Sebastian is a gruff and rough loner who spends his days living up on Blackstone Mountain writing a book that he seems determined not to talk about or let anyone see, and when his unbound manuscript unexpectedly finds its way into my hands… Well, I just can't resist taking a sneak peek...
What I find in those pages makes me shudder with both fear and desire.
Will he forgive me for invading his privacy and unearthing his twisted past? And can I really accept his darkest secrets and trust him with my heart?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Surrender To The Mountain Man is a short and steamy high heat romance that tells a tale of wild attraction and instalove between an older alpha mountain man and a young woman who just can’t resist him. This book is a standalone story in the MEN OF BLACKSTONE MOUNTAIN series.
I liked this story, between a bookstore owner, FMC, and a reclusive writer, MMC.
He has a hard past that made him feel ashamed of himself, and hence, he has been living as a recluse for the past few years.
They met, sparkles flied on both sides, and the rest is history.
I was curious about his past and what he exactly wrote in his book. That part made me curious. We can assume what his past was about, based on his actions. But I wanted that part more flashed out.
The epilogue was adorable. I'm glad the author didn't skip a good epilogue, even for a novella length book.

Surrender To The Mountain Man is the second book in the Men Of Blackstone Mountain series. The author is new to me so I was not sure what the expect. This is a quick read, with a fast-paced story, a bit OTT, smexy and dirty naughty but not too much. The story is about Rosie and Sebastian. She moved to town a couple of years ago after buying the book store and has been running it with a passion ever since. She loves her life, all except for the lack of any suitable romantic partners so her love life is more than MIA. Sebastian is an author who had a successful book but the words would just not flow for this second book. So he came to town to live up on the mountain in a cabin to write his follow up book. The words definitely flowed but it quickly became a book that was very different from what he wanted, and way to autobiographical and intimate. Both Rosie and Sebastian have a longing for each other but they will never get together, or will they. All it takes is a heavy rain storm, a store sign in need of repair, a couple boxes of books, and some fun on a desk to trigger all sorts of things. Will they every be able to be together though once Rosie reads Sebastian's manuscript and finds out just what he really desires?
Rosie owe a bookstore in Blackstone. She is sweet, shy and a ray of sunshine. She is also lonely. She longs to see Sebastian the mountain recluse who is an author. Sebastian thinks he is a monster that no woman would want to be with him. He feels as though he has a twisted and dark mind and is destined to be lone forever. One raining day he seeks shelter in the bookstore where he encounters Rosie. She accidentally gets her hands on his latest manuscript and learns of his dark secrets and desires. Can she love him? Is he too dark and twisted to love? This is a great read l. There is so much chemistry and desire between these two. This book has lots of trigger warnings. Rosie is a great character. She is willing to accept Sebastian as he is. Sebastian is a protector and domineering.

Bookstore owner Rosie (h) finds herself drawn to older, reclusive mountain man writer Sebastian (H), who rarely comes into town. When circumstances have the two crossing paths, Rosie finds that Sebastian seems just as attracted to her, but he’s intent on holding back, convinced he’s not right for her. Rosie accidentally comes into possession of Sebastian’s secret manuscript, and after reading it she has a much better understanding of just who Sebastian is and what he desires from, if she’s brave enough to take him on. Hot and steamy mountain man, age gap, instalove quickie with a bit of angst and some spanks.
I loved Surrender To The Mountain Man Book 2 of Men Of Blackstone Mountain. Rosie doesn’t know the mysterious Sebastian but when the weather forces him into her bookstore, she’s immediately drawn to him. She finds an excuse to see him again but he’s afraid his darkness is too much for her. Rosie needs to decide if she can handle his desires or if it’s too much. This is a short read and I loved the storyline and the characters. She’s too sweet and he’s too damaged but she will help heal him. I would definitely recommend this book.

Sebastian has a dark and stormy childhood and that's made him a dark and brooding adult whose wants veer towards the dark side. Rosie is a bookshop owner and just wants the dark and brooding man. Then she reads his novel and doubt creeps in. But once she lets go and submits, sparks fly as does the passion. I feel that this was more talked up about the darkness than actually shown on the page. The darkest it gets on page is some light spanking. However, if your own imagination runs dark you can fill in the blanks.

What a wonderful story this was. We follow Rosie and Sebastian. Rosie owns a bookstore and is thrilled when she meets the dark and mysterious Sebastian who is the subject of her bawdy thoughts. She is attracted to him, but Sebastian doesn't know if he is the right one for him because of all the darkness that surrounds him. She has to make her own choice about what she does, whether she goes for it or distances herself. This is highly recommended to read, because it is also a moving story in which two souls find each other and try to heal.

The author has given us a bit of darkness with this story that pulls us into the lives of Rosie and Sebastian. The story keeps us turning the pages with the need of a Dom/Sub relationship, tough decisions and OTT steam.
