Honestly, the minute I saw that it was a soccer romance, I HAD to read this. I love sports romances and I feel like I don’t see enough soccer romances out there. I will say that in the beginning I was a little bit confused with what was going on, but that’s what really got my attention. Once I figured it out, I was hooked. I needed to know if Franco was the father or not. I’m also a curvy Latina (proud Brazilian), so I was so excited to read something that had a little bit of me in it. I actually love the bits of Spanish that the author through in here! And the playlist went perfectly with the book. I can’t say I know what it feels like to think you’re a parent and not be a parent (I didn’t say that exactly right), but the emotions that Franco was feeling were written so well. I felt the same as he did. And oh my gosh, I HATE Alma.

I would like to mention that little thing that happened at the end of chapter 28. WHAT THE HECK?! That was not on my schedule for reading this book! It quite literally came out of nowhere… but honestly it was an interesting twist that I feel worked well with the story. Without giving too much away, I love a good telenovela moment.

Overall, wow. What a ride. I finished this is one day. I couldn’t put it down. I’m so glad that I got to read this.

Beauty in the people & landscapes

This is one of the stories that I’ve been waiting for in this series. Franco & Sofi’s mysterious beach walk had me intrigued and wanting to know more. But getting an inside look into their walk and conversation, I saw quickly how these two connected in a very special way. Living countries apart, literally, these two connected in a friendship based on trust & honesty. Sofi was Franco’s rock during a very difficult, confusing, & emotional time in his life. And through that emotional rollercoaster, he slowly saw the value in the amazing woman she was inside and out.

And when the whole crew came together for a Taylor Swift concert (tipping my hat to Liss’s Swiftie heart) these two were able to realize how deep their connection & attraction were to each other. I may have inwardly squealed when Franco finally made a move. But when two people lead very different lives in two very different countries…how will it work?

I loved their ability to adequately communicate most of the time. They did have a patch of rockiness where communication was key, but thank goodness they both had their best friends to keep them level headed & show them the paths back to each other. And their support & understanding in each other was so heartwarming.

Through this whole series, I’ve loved the adventures we’ve been able to take through the eyes of these characters. The descriptive dialogue has immersed me in the various South American cultures & makes me nostalgic for places I’ve never been before. The beauty of the landscapes rivaled the beauty of the characters’ hearts in making me fall deeply for this story. Extra points for throwing in a plus size heroine, showing her beautiful confidence, and highlighting the very real struggles they can face while also having an amazing support system.

I can’t wait for more from this gorgeous world Liss Montoya has created. This next book is going to be next level, I know it.

I am addicted to this series and the places that Liss Montoya takes us. This is one of the things I love about reading, being taken to a place I have never been before and the way that the author integrates the setting with a plot that is both intriguing and emotional. Franco is living his best life, celebrating an amazing soccer win and shortly after he gets life changing news. Franco handled it with a maturity and grace that you don’t see often for his age. I loved the way he leaned on Sofi during this time. Sofi is Dani’s friend from Colombia so they mostly communicated through text. This really strengthened their relationship that was essentially brand new when he got the news. Sofi & Franco had developed such a strong relationship that when they finally got to see each other again the sparks fly and they can’t resist each other.

They have to deal with a lot of complications within their relationship. A few of those being the distance between them, Franco’s baby mama issue, and past insecurities. There was a moment where I wanted to slap Franco for his behavior and even more so Sofi when she forgave him so easily. In general though, they did a great job at talking through their feelings and not really hiding anything. I really enjoyed the way that Franco loved Sofia’s curves and the way Sofia was confident in her own skin.

The ending was completely shocking and thrilling! Had me on the edge of my seat! And then it wrapped up nicely with all our couples. If you have ever wanted to go to South America, I highly recommend reading this book and enjoying the culture that the author exposes you to. I am loving the way this series whisks me away to somewhere I have never been.

loved them!

“ You’re the boisterous to my calm, the loud to my quiet, the comfort to my storm. “

Oh I’ve been anticipating their story and as always, Liss did not disappoint. When we meet Franco, his life has been turned upside down with news that he received.

He is honest about his situation to Sofia and rather than walking away, she becomes the bestest of friends and his sounding board. The way that she supports him during this time was inspiring especially since her feelings were involved.

Once truths are revealed, they are able to explore the chemistry between them. It isn’t easy for them since they live in two different countries but they realize what they have is rare and they decide to fight for it.

“ Mariposa. You are beautiful. “

Franco also finds his own ways to build up Sofia with certain things that she has struggled with as a curvy girl and I honestly love the way that he sees her.

Their story isn’t easy and there were a ton of twist and turns that I really wasn’t expecting until they got to their HEA but I absolutely loved the journey.

“I love you, Francisco Gómez. Thank you for deciding to move on with me,”

Coming from a Colombian background, I loved seeing certain things highlighted because it reminded me of my many visits. Getting to see the wedding of two other beloved characters and the traditions that are followed made my heart so full. It isn’t a Colombian wedding unless you party with those closest to you on the Chiva (iykyk).

I can’t wait to see what comes next with these characters as the series continues.

This is Franco and Sophia’s story, and when I picked this up, I didn’t know just how much I would have similarities to both characters but in very different ways.

Franco, even though he had so much going on. He still stood up and took responsibility for everything that was happening and he was just so strong as an individual and his friendship with Sophia is just chefs kiss really really good.

Sophia she is the curvy girl everybody likes to put her down because of her weight but she was just so confident and strong, and she had a really strong group of friends there for her whenever she needed, and because she was out for Franco, there friendship blossom in to much more. I absolutely love this friend group of characters. Their relationship is just not only hilarious, but it’s also very loving, the found family bond they all have I absolutely adore.

Honestly this story really has every element that would draw you in and Liss just has a way with her words to keep you. I can never not pick up one of Liss books and not just read it all the way through these books are just so amazing I love getting lost in the different cultures that she involves from Argentina to Columbia just all of it together. Just leaves me pretty much speechless sometimes because she just makes me get so lost in the pages of a really good book.

I definitely recommend this whole series because I’m literally obsessed with all these characters.

I really liked it 😊. I've wanted to read Sofí & Franco's story since Volume 1. I was curious to know what the author would write about them. At first, I wasn't a big fan of Franco because of what he had to face at the beginning of the story but when I got deeper into the book, I learned to understand him and what he was feeling. I didn't think he'd be so grumpy 😅, but I really enjoyed his character. His honesty was so amazing and I really appreciated it.

What can I say about Sofí? I already liked her in Book 1, so I knew she'd be great, and I wasn't disappointed. She's a ray of sunshine, a kind and amazing woman. I loved her personality, her kindness, she was a beautiful woman, she was so well described. I loved the confidence Sofí had in herself, she wasn't ashamed of her body, she was proud of herself. I crave that confidence. I absolutely loved her group chat with Dani and Karina, her two best friends, 😂😂😂.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Franco and Sofí, they were on fire together. The long-distance relationship is based on trust, and I can say from experience that it's sometimes hard to be separated, but the reunion is even better and the author did a great job with that.

I wasn't expecting the ending and it was great. I loved how this book took me on another journey through Colombia and Argentina 🥰.

Now I can't wait to read the next book 🤩🤩🤩🤩.

It was a beautiful story and I recommend it 🥰.

Sofi become Franco rock during this time and slowly she become everything he wants but knows he can’t have especially since they live in two differ t countries. As time goes by they text, strengthening their relationship, things change and they finally get a chance to be together. Now their on a new journey together that isn’t easy, they must overcome many thing that only make them stronger. But can he move on from the past and be happy with Sofi or will the past ruin everything?
The time they spent building their friendship was amazing and it only made their relationship so much stronger. And once they gave in they were electric. I love all their moments together from them texting to them finally getting to see each other. Overall, this book was so good and the characters were great, and I really enjoyed the ending. I can’t wait to next book.

Oh lord ! What a refreshing reading !

I always have the best of time diving back into Liss universe and reading about new characters. The found family in these books is unmatched and I just fall more in love with all of them book after book. 💜

I am still found of the South America setting and all the latin references. The little Spanish words here and there got me obsessed, I just love that so much in the story. We are traveling in this book and the vibes are just amazing. It is really an experience to live. 🦋

Franco & Sofi are just the epitome of an adorable couple. I adored so much how they both waited for each other to be together. Their long distance convos were adorable and I was rooting for them so much, I only wanted their happiness. I am so glad they found it with each other. 🥰

Franco was a man of gold. All the difficulties he had to go through made him stronger but god, I hurt for him. I am just happy he had Sofi to rely on during all of this mess. They were their mutual rocks. Sofi, what a woman, she is so strong and amazing. I loved her personality. She is truly inspiring ! ✨

I honestly ecommend this book to you if you want to experience a new kind of romance with a beautiful found family, Latino vibes, amazing couples and marvelous stories. Liss books never disappoint, I PROMISE ! 🌸

Go grab your copy on Amazon or read it on Kindle Unlimited ! Next book in the series will be here soon… Can’t wait 👀

I enjoyed getting my Latin culture fix with this new book in the With You series. Liss threw a curveball in this one with the bit of suspense that grabbed my attention. Sofi and Franco’s story had all the angst and sweet, spicy vibes I’ve come to enjoy in Liss’s books.

Sofi was strong and unapologetically herself. Being curvy was something that she had struggled with growing up, but she learned to embrace her curves with undeniable confidence. She was Franco’s rock and was there for him when he needed her the most; despite the distance between them. Franco was a straight up guy, or as Luca said, “the sniper” because he's a straight shooter. He was not one to shirk his responsibilities, or what he thought were his responsibilities. I loved how they each pumped the other up building a strong friendship, and the smexy flirting that ultimately turned them from friends to lovers.

The friend group and the friend adventures are something that I’ve enjoyed throughout this series. Tagging along as they immerse themselves in the various South American cultures has been a wonderful experience. Liss provides very descriptive passages of the various landscapes which had me completely immersed in the story.

I am highly anticipating the next book because Mati has seemed a mystery to me so far and then he’s tattooed so, yes, yummmm.

This is my first book by Liss but it will definitely not be my last. Franco meets Sofia after finding out that that his one night stand after the World Cup resulted in a pregnancy and he is a possible father. The night he meets Sofia there is a connection between them that they both feel but they don’t act on it and instead become best friends. Sofia is there for him every step of the way throughout the pregnancy and after the reveal of the official paternity of the baby. Sofia is fully supportive and once they finally get their chance to fall in love. And once their journey towards their HEA begins, it is not an easy one and they are hit with obstacles. They are able to overcome them and their relationship is strengthened with each one. I loved that the story of previous characters is also continued in their book without spoiling their story and does not over shadow Franco and Sofia’s journey. Their story hooks you in from the beginning. I loved the way both cultures are part of not just the story but a part of the characters and the mentions of the different cuisines had me wanting to try them. Truly loved this book and will definitely be continuing the series and reading the previous books.

Moving on with you is the 3rd book in the With You Series and follows the story of Sofi and Franco.

Sofi and Franco are best friends with Marco and Dani from the first For you book. When they meet there is an instant attraction between them but Franco is hit with some serious life changes before they can take things further. During a difficult year Sofi is a major source of strength and support for Franco even though they are in two different countries.

They finally get their chance to be together but even then it is not exactly smooth sailing for them.

Sofi is described as a curvy woman and I love that she was so unapologetically herself despite body shaming from various people. I also adored that Franco loved all of her curves and reminded her of this regularly.

Liss hits you with some serious suspense almost right at the end of the book that had me on the edge of my seat.

In each of the books in this series the author shares the food, traditions and scenery of different South American countries and I just love learning a little about Latin culture from these stories. I also loved that I get to pick up a few new words.

Very excited to read the next book in this series.

Moving on With You by Liss Montoya was a mutual pining wet dream! An Argentine soccer player and a curvy Columbian meet and have instant chemistry but, due to some crazy life circumstances, become friends instead. This story was captivating and sweet; I enjoyed reading about their friendship and relationship blooming throughout the book. I love texting in books, and this book did not disappoint.

This book was a great pallet cleanser from the fantasy I was reading then, and it was fun, light, and exciting. It was unexpected and different from other sports romances I have read. That twist at the end had me gasping for air! I loved the South American culture that Liss Montoya sprinkled throughout this book. The descriptions of the views, language, and food were all amazing. And Sofia, being a plus-sized queen, had my heart the entire book!

I have read through other reviews that this book is a part of a series. However, Moving On With You can be read as a standalone without issue. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for insta-love, friends who love romance.

I love everything that Liss Montoya has put out up until this point and book three in the With You series was no exception! I knew I was going to enjoy it, but I was BLOWN away by how much I loved it. There was something just so extra special in this story that I could not put it down!

From the first book, I was really excited about Sophi and Franco getting their book. But I had absolutely no idea it was going to suck me in as much as it did! There were some new elements in book three that really elevated it. The stakes were just so much higher than before and I was absolutely here for it!

I adored these characters and their complexities and development. The setting was amazing as always (I literally can't read a Liss Montoya book without immediately wanting to fly to South America for a vacation) and the food descriptions were phenomenal (I made my husband take me out to a local Columbian restaurant the next night).

The spice was so good and the chemistry was phenomenal!

I can not wait for book four, there is some setup for it in this book and I squealed when I realized who the next couple is!

ARC Review!

Franco is good guy, but a fun night out after his national team won the World Cup has the potential to change his life forever. He has some tough decisions to make. What he doesn't count on is meeting Sofia - his rock during hard times. She's everything he wants, but feels he doesn't deserve. Sofia is his best friend and everyday he finds himself wanting more with her. He comes with a lot of baggage and a rough past and he can't stand to put her through any of that. But he has to learn to let go if he wants to move on with Sofia.

I haven't read a book in a long time that just consumed me. I started reading it one night and couldn't put it down. The story was just so captivating filled with love, romance, and some drama. Sofi and Franco were everything - true friends to lovers magic. Their mutual friend group and families are awesome, so fun and supportive. Where the story takes place also makes this a fun read. I've never been to any of these places, but after reading all the descriptions of the places they go to and food that they eat, I want to take a visit myself.

Wow. This book was so different from what I usually read. It was so unexpected and I really enjoy it. This story is based in Argentina and Colombia, and the culture and land is so beautifully described. Sofia and Franco’s relationship is the definition of Right Person, Wrong Time. They come from different cultures, countries and classes, but they have mutual friends and hit it off from the beginning. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned, so they form a friendship that slowly builds into something more. They do get together more quickly in this storyline than I’m use to, but they still have a lot of complications to work through. They are in their early twenties, it is a very mature relationship, with very realistic problems couples face. This a great story to read if you want to diversify your reading!

Summary:

Franco was caught up in celebrating the World Cup and had drunken one night stand. A month or two later, she contacted him to let Franco know she was pregnant and he was possibly the father. In the mean time, Franco met Sofi and it was love at first site. Sofi becomes a good friend and saves him throughout the pregnancy scare.

Franco and Sofi are finally able to be together and they decide to give it a chance. It’s not easy but they give it a good hearted try.

My thoughts:

This is book three in the With You series and the most emotional one.

I liked Franco with Sofi. He helped make her love her curves and stood up for her when needed. They took their time with a trying a relationship allowing Franco to truly deal with the pregnancy.

The emotional toll Alma caused all of them was crazy. I did not like her character but you aren’t supposed to. I didn’t see the end of the book coming but should have with the way she was throughout the book.

I enjoyed Moving on With You by @lissmontoyawrites and can’t wait to get to Entangled with you.

Thank you @lissmontoyawrites for the ARC

Ugh I love you Liss!

Plot: This story was so good, and followed the couple that I have been DYING to read more about! Long distance, insta love, friends to lovers, and such a twist at the ending. You have done it again!

Characters: Sofi and Francisco are my favorite couple, and I will die on that hill! The body positivity from Sofi, and the self-development and healing from Franco makes this book all the better.

Romance: The romance in this was great, on top of that, it was a soccer/sports romance. The pining is beautifully written, and you can truly sense the love between the characters!

Overall: I was not expecting the ending, but lord was it exactly what the book needed! I have loved everything in this series so far, and I cannot recommend it enough.

One of my favorite trope is best friend to lovers! Understanding what really happened between Sofi and Franco in the previous look, made so much sense. Loved Sofi’s personality and her relationship with Franco and their friends. I just really enjoy this friend group. Franco is the epitome of the perfect guy, but he has insecurities and has to fight with seeing his worth due to all the things he went through. Sofia is the sunshine in his life, with her positive light. However, she also had her struggles to being a plus size goddess. The suspense and the twists of this book had my heart beating so fast, but I really enjoyed it. I love all these stories so much, and enjoy my trip to Colombia and the descriptions of the beautiful places they visited! This is another fluffy romance to use as a perfect palate cleanser.

The third book in the “With You” series follows Franco and Sofi.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. I loved all of the Taylor Swift nods. I was reading this when Taylor announced the Tortured Poets Department so feel like I’ll always have a fond memory of this book!

This book was relatively low anxiety which I always appreciate. Any issues resolve very quickly.

I will say that the ending (the last 10%) really took me by surprise. I felt like I was watching a telenovela!! It was a twist that I didn’t see coming.

As always, I truly enjoyed the look into the culture of these places and it was truly evident how much the author loves the country she grew up in! I enjoyed reading Sofi and Franco’s love story and am sure I’ll back for Mati and Cata

The drama and pining in this story are top tier! Franco was so loving and latine with Sofi! She was slowly starting to get more comfortable with herself. They had great chemistry from the start. The spice in this book is *chef’s kiss* The twists and suspense had me on the edge of my seat!

I really enjoy Liss’s writing style ! She had me hooked from the beginning! I highly recommend you check this book out! Matter of fact check out the rest of the series!

Franco is an angel, he is simply the best human ever. The way he steps up and handles the situation made my ovaries explode.
His friendship with Sofia is the cutest ever.
Sofia is a great FMC, I loved to see how she manages the bullying and negative comments and how she still comes confident.
The spicy scenes were sooo good!! The first night together is flawless. My fave part was the tarylor swift concert.
I wanted to harm Alma, at one point it took a telenovela turn but I was raised on Pasion de Gavilanes so I loved it!!!!
This book is a little more angsty than the other ones but it’s so good! For my babies that like crying while reading and suffering with the MCs

This time we get Sofi and Franco's story and boy, did it grab me in a chokehold... All the drama and the pining are 🔥🔥
I loved how we get Sofi experiences as a curvy woman (not always the best but she's a badass) and Franco's fears and insecurities, the way their friendship (between them and the rest of the group) helped them move those difficulties is so sweet and the growth the both experience is amazing.
Also, there's the description of all of these amazing places in Colombia! Now I just want to go and see them myself...
I honestly believe that Liss is getting better with each new book!

Franco and Sofi's story was a great read. They met when Sofi was on vacation and they agree to keep in touch. It didn't matter that they lived in two different countries. Franco finds out he might be the father of a baby from a one night stand. I had to know if he was! I felt so bad for him. Sofi didn't care if he might have a child with someone else because she really liked him. This story had some sadness to it, but it was great. Not only that but the characters were latin. I myself an a Mexican and what people would call plus size.

A cute Soccer romance that's very telenovela-esk! I really enjoyed this read! My Swiftie heart loves that it really began at a concert.

A solid friend to lovers read with no ridiculous third act breakup!

English:
You don't know how I expected to read this book and the truth is, it exceeded my expectations and it surprised me.
I will always recommend reading these books in order, but if you start with this one, no problem.

In this book you will meet Sofía (Colombian) and Franco (Argentine). They are two 22-year-old boys with a big heart. They meet when Sofi goes to Argentina in January to visit her best friend Daniela to celebrate her birthday. Franco is the best friend of Marco, Dani's boyfriend. The friends’s group is going to spend a weekend in Mar del Plata and that is where the story begins, obviously the two of them like each other, but...there is a issue that Franco must solve and that is why our dear Sofi enters the friendzone. But they are still friends, they tell each other their problems, they support each other. In November, Sofi returns to Argentina with her sister Cata for a very special moment (hello swifties!), she meets Franco again and phew the spark lights up 🔥🌶️ But not everything was going to be as easy as we thought, oh no, That's where the interesting part comes from.

I loved the book and I’m always team Sofi. Not because of what she thought at first, but because of the bodyshaming she suffers and several situations where she doesn't have a very good time, plus she is a girl who has a lot of love to give, both to her friends, her family and her partner. Franco surprised me, I came to the book a little predisposed by the situation he had to solve (you sense it by reading the blurb), but since in the other books he looked like a good boy, I doubted, if you get to see this here, if he is a boy cute, noble, concerned, but at some point his drama and guilt overwhelmed me a little with the truth, and I wanted to send him to therapy.

There were several other moments that I loved very much in the story, some of which I was expecting a lot after meeting the group of friends and the previous stories, chapter 9 is beautiful and so there are others, in addition to the moments where the author mentions Colombia (her country) which are many, being so close it made me want to go and see. I hated Alma, the villain of the story, from the first moment hahaha but I find it interesting that the author has introduced this soap opera moment, because you want to know what else this girl is going to do, how she is going to react, it really is unbearable, but towards the end they will be surprised.

In the end it was like I wanted and didn't want to finish reading, that feeling had never happened to me and now that I think about it, with the fourth book this series ends and I already feel sorry for it. I recommend reading this book, if you are young you will identify with various situations, if you are a little older like me you will remember beautiful things and be rejuvenated.

Thank you Liss for writing about South America, we really needed romance stories in our region and I’m really enjoying them. Thanks also for sending me an ARC of the book.

Sofi and Franco started out as just a light flirtation, went to long distance friends, and now, perhaps more, if he can prove that he's the man for her, that he deserves her. What he doesn't realize, is that he's always been more than he thought, and Sofi could always see it in him. He just needed to get out of his own way and let her love him.

Sofi and Franco are a true friends to lovers story. Their friendship evolved into such a strong one that it was almost a shame that it became more, as there lay a chance for it to go wrong. But that very strong friendship is why as a couple, they ended up making it. She was his rock when he needed her most, and he in turn became her strength near the end when the surprise suspense happened. I haven't read a lot of Argentinian culture, romance or otherwise, so to read about it here is awesome. The Latin rep is solid, as their entire crew is Latin. By the time the end came around, I was was smiling with happiness that this couple who went through so much made it to the other side together.

This was my first Liss Montoya read and was a beautiful love letter to Colombia and Argentina. Some of you know I work in academia - I'm a historian of Latin America - so this whole story made me so happy! Montoya made me want to go back to Cartagena, one of my favorite cities.

Sofí and Franco meet following what Franco considers one of his worst mistakes. Despite their instant connection, these two are the definition of right place, wrong time. Still, Sofí offers Franco a place to vent and the two grow close while they're living in separate countries. After learning that he's been tricked into fatherhood, Franco decides he can finally give things a try with Sofí.

These two navigate their relationship long distance and their love grows stronger as they learn to trust one another. We get some out door sex, nicknames in Spanish (swoon!), and a bit of suspense with the fake baby mama.

Really though, if you want to travel to Latin America for a few hours, this book is for you!
