The Tangled Threads #1

A Court of Tangled Threads

Rate this book
Some goals are harder to achieve than others.

Violet has only three, each one more impossible than the last: cure her sick sister, get a better job, and on the off chance she manages the first two—it would be great if she could avoid accidentally snatching souls along the way.

Sounds easy, right? Wrong.

When she finds herself trapped in the realm between the human world and the fae, Violet realizes no one's coming to save her. But it's not the rescue she needs—it's the escape.

Her plan might work, but it could have a soul-rending outcome for everyone around her.

Blake can kill with a touch, but when the Black Queen commands, refusal is never an option.

To complete a ridiculous quest, Blake makes a deal with a Troll, setting off a chain of events that leads him to a castle filled with the dead and a soul-stealing woman with magic as dark as his.

As their fates become entwined, Violet and Blake find themselves on a perilous journey to unravel one of the greatest crimes in fae history, but it's not just fate that Violet has to worry about—it's the enigmatic knight whose grip on her heart grows stronger with every step.

A Court of Tangled Threads is a slow burn fantasy romance, great for fans of Sarah J Maas, Richelle Mead, and Laura Thalassa.

Amanda Pillar is addicted to writing. Not in the fun kind of way, more in the has-to-get-her-fix kind of way. But that's a good thing, right? It means she's busy working on her next book and has plans for many more to come, all with lots of snark. Because snark.

Amanda has had almost a dozen books published, alongside a variety of short stories, as well as solo and co-editing over half a dozen anthologies. A Court of Tangled Threads by Amanda Pillar

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The title of this book piqued my interest when I saw it was a stand alone fantasy romance book which are fairly uncommon. This book is set in fae and human adjacent lands resulting in several modern human inventions making an appearance in this book such as a blender as well as modern language and prose throughout.

The characters were beyond hilarious, loveable, and so well developed. I wanted to be best friends with the main character, Violet. She is strong, fiercely protective, powerful, clever, and just a badass.

I really wish there were more books in this series or at least in this world because it was simply fantastic. The book was fast paced, had good world building, great banter, and a well developed plot. I immediately looked up more books by the author and I’ve already added them to my TBR.

Overall, if you want a fantasy romance quick read or standalone between series then this is the book for you!

Absolutely loved everything about this book.

The characters were brilliant and witty, and I absolutely adored them all, and the world building and plot were superb. The steamy parts were pure gold and didn't detract from the overall story but actually added to it.

Would absolutely read another book about Violet and Blake!

Thank you, Amanda, for sending me an ARC for a review.

Guys. I read. A lot. And I'm sure a lot of you do, too. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun reading a book as I did while reading this one. The voice this book has is so much fun. It has so much personality and the characters' personalities were top notch. I'm not a super emotional reader. I don't laugh out loud, don't cry very much, but you better believe I had some laugh out loud moments in this book. This book is a fae book, that has all sorts of different mythical breeds too. It also takes place in a more modern world, kind of like Sarah J Maas's Crescent City. The FMC, Violet, KILLS me. She's hilarious. She's a bad a**, she's fierce, she'll take anyone out who messes with those she loves...She has a lot of character development as she learns more about self love and accepting who she is. I freaking love this girl. The MMC, Blake, is a yummy knight who is hiding his identity as the prince of the night court, and he's obsessed with Violet from the get go. He grows a lot too, and I really enjoyed his character. All of our other characters are great too. Really, moral of the story here, this book was so great. It's definitely going on my physical shelf one day. It's a standalone and available now!

Violet and her sister Rosie are half breed fae that live in the borderlands. It's pretty much the wild west, anything goes, roughing it kind of place. Violet hates The Hills (the hoity toity place where the full breeds and higher social status people live). She can pull souls out of people to make them die, and she has a love/hate relationship with her power. She fears it a bit because she feels like she doesn't have full control of it. She can also see ghosts. She is very protective of her sister, Rosie, who is really sickly and is in a wheelchair. She is super sweet and Violet feels like she's the total opposite.

Blake is sent on his quest to find the missing Red Princess of another court by his mother, who is the queen of the night court. Which is fine. He doesn't care for court much and he likes the hunt and adventure. His hunt leads him to the borderlands where he sees Violet and becomes obsessed. He knows he can't really do anything about it because he has his quest, so he moves on.

Violet takes Rosie and their friend to a taping of a reality TV show that Rosie loves and ends up pulling a soul of someone who attacks Rosie. She gets into trouble (again) which eventually leads to her and Blake crossing paths...and then remaining on that path.

So many exciting revelations, twists, and adventures happen and I was here for it. Like I said, this book has some of the most personality I have seen in a while. Loved, loved, loved it. If you like fae books and you need a laugh and some good writing, look no further.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ (it's pretty slow burn, but once you get to the spice...the spice is pretty good ;)

Book Tour Review: A Court of Tangled Threads
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

“Always be positive. And if haters are Bringing you down, kill them.”

This story was such a good read for me! I DEVOURED it! I think my favorite aspect was that not only did it have fae, and magic but it was set in urban times. The story keeps you guessing at how the characters destiny is intertwined with each other.

There we’re parts that felt a little scattered but it actually worked really well in this story! I loved Violet and I enjoyed getting to explore her character! Morally grey but willing to do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones. Another character I loved was Blake. He walks such a fine line between good and evil and I am here for it!

Overall I highly recommend this book! This is a
stand-alone and the glossary in the back really
helped me understand this world.

Thank you @amandapillar and @rrbooktours for letting review this book.

Australia mentions, sass, written in a way very much like how I think, and a main character who could hold her own with my other fave main characters.

I have no idea how this is a standalone though when there’s so many * threads * that could be picked up for a whole series!

The blurb isn’t kidding when it says for fans of Sarah J Maas and Richelle Mead, my two fave authors. I enjoyed this so much!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 🌶️🌶️.5

Holy world building Batman! This was an interesting read. Highly detailed and specific creatures and settings, those not familiar with fae sub-species may struggle in the beginning (but there’s a glossary at the back of the book!!!) Glossary in hand, this was a smooth read for me. Slow paced to begin with but picks up to a nice tempo without sacrificing any of the descriptive narrative about a third of the way in. Definitely a slow burn romance, but it’s good, clean spice when it gets going. It doesn’t detract from the plot which is appreciated. The FMC is strong: no wimpy girls here thanks. The MMC, I wanted more brooding, mean-guy darkness from him, given his abilities and parentage. Ends on a bit of a cliff.

Overall a stellar romantacy submission by an Aussie indie author! I’ll be looking out for part 2

I received an ARC of this book, and I loved it! I loved the pace of this book. It started a little bit slow and was introducing you to a lot of information about the world/the characters in the beginning, then BAM, it was off to the races. So much happening, so many little twists and surprises along the way. Violet is my kind of gal: ferocious, sassy, IDGAF attitude, but loyal to her loved ones.
Please know this is a mature book with explicit sex scenes (yum!)
You get some steamy references and discussions about sex early on, but not a full blown sex scene until later on in the book. I’d call this a slow-medium burn, enemies to lovers, MF romantasy. Definitely pick this up if this is your jam!
I truly hope to see more in this world/with these characters!

Fantastic standalone! I laughed out loud a lot with this one. Violet was so funny. I enjoyed Blake as well. Who doesn't love a night prince. Enjoyed this to break up some series I've been reading. The next book follows Rosie and Theo.

Violet is Super Cool! And this story is worth the read!

I throughly enjoyed this book and the story. The world that was created was a mixture of old world and modern concepts of the human world. The main location/setting for the book is in the Fae world, but I like that they talk about things like reality TV, lattes, green smoothies, etc. It helps it seem like it is in now time and relatable.
I really liked almost all of the characters personalities and really enjoyed the way the MFC, Violet was portrayed. She was super badass with a take no nonsense attitude even though she also dealt with a few insecurities. She has a really awesome power and what she ends up becoming in the book is super cool.
I also really liked Blake, her love interest. He became enamored by Violet from the start and even though their relationship takes a bit to develop, I like how it all ended.
With that being said…this could’ve been more than a single book! I would’ve really loved to read Violet develop her role as the Hunter(Spoiler) and really see who that could’ve played out. I think there could’ve been lots of adventures and action there. Also, I really would’ve liked to see her relationship with Blake develop more as well. They work so well together that it almost seems unfair that there isn’t more.
Overall, I am really glad I decided to give this book a try. I really love the concepts and the different Fae courts and powers and creatures in the book. I like the small bit you got to see with her sister and her BFF. There is great world building here and I honestly hope to see more…even though he’s, I do see that this says Stand-alone. I’m going to hope for more of Violet and Blake and everyone.

I’m unsure how to rate this, so I’m going with 2.5 stars. I liked the plot, but there was just too much going on. There were two main POV, but side characters also had random times where their POV popped up. The twin sisters of the dawn court confused me… I honestly cannot tell which is which in all of this.

There was a lot of fluff that really wasn’t needed. Mostly each persons dragging thoughts. Around 40% I started skimming because of that.

There’s some plot holes here and there. One at the end being Theron hopping into someone else’s body. A person that had its soul removed a week before the ball in the night court, which was the last time we hear about his ghost being present. Since it was explained that the bodies died soon after losing their soul, this doesn’t make sense. Plus how he was really against a soul being placed in the wrong body… yeah, doesn’t vibe.
Also, maybe it’s just me, but wouldn’t you start asking questions when you found out that this random ghost knows Blake? Like idk… start telling Blake what this dude looked like, what kind of fae he is and that he seems to not remember his own name? Or Blake asking what the ghost looked like or how the ghost knows him or…. something?

There’s a lot of names introduced, which didn’t need to happen (like when everyone in the hunt introduced themselves) The weaver or whatever was name dropped pretty much everywhere.

I appreciate that there is a glossary at the end, but I think it would’ve been better at the front or if there was a little explanation when they brought up a new kind of fae.

The way Violent started acting after finding out what she is was a bit over the top. Then the way she just didn’t seem to care about Mallory eating a man that was strapped to the wall and clearly didn’t want to be there… that doesn’t seem right for the person that didn’t really like to kill people… 🤔

Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend this book. It was entertaining, but only by skimming the majority.

Perfect. I love this book. It is officially going onto my list of books to read and re-read over and over. Everything about this book is incredible. Each and every detail in this book completes the puzzle perfectly. I feel like this is a rare standalone story where I didn’t feel like everything had wrapped up well before the end of the book, or where I had too many lingering questions for this to be the end. Everything was executed so perfectly. The book was written so well that you are just immediately sucked in, and you cannot stop until you reach the end on the story.

One thing I adore is that the author keeps this story engaging and interesting the entire time. You get hints and clues that encourage you to make guesses as to where the story is leading. The best part is, you will be so right and so wrong at the same time. There are so many amazing twists and turns, it just cannot be explained.

Although this is a standalone, I feel like I need more of these characters and this world! The world and its characters were executed so beautifully, I can only hope it’s not the end for them. While I don’t feel that this particular story requires a sequel, it was certainly written in a way that would support additional stories. Yet another thing I LOVE about how this book was written.

I’ll try to not spoiler anything major but just so you know this will be a more detailed review :)

It was very easy to dive into the story because you learn how the world works as you’re reading so the world building wasn’t overwhelming at all.
And the book comes with a glossary so even if you’d have trouble memorizing everything you’d have somewhere to turn to ;)
I really appreciate the effort that was made to make this as easy to understand as possible ! <3
I also really liked how the story was pretty fast forward so there wasn’t any boring parts :)

My fav character is 100 percent theodore, he is soo adorable and the perfect addition to their group <3
My least fav character would be Rose, she was so annoyinggggg!!!

However there were some things that did not make sense to me at aallll.
The MMC is like over 200 years old but his behavior or his skill aren’t showing that? Like the 25 years old FMC in this book could easily overpower him but how is that possible when he should have waaay more experience then her ? Especially being a knight (and other things) ?!?!

I do have to say that i don’t feel like this was an enemies to lovers romance the way i like them done since there wasn’t any hatred between them and they rather wanted to rip the clothes off each other whenever they looked at one another :/

Thank you so much for sending me a copy of your book 🥰💞
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited if you’re interested in reading it :)

I adored A Court of Tangled Threads, it’s just so engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, full of twists and turns, what I loved was that the author was so clever and lets you think you know what’s coming and let’s you believe you were right and then the next throws a curveball and it’s so wonderfully done, genius.

This a slow burn romance, and enemies to lovers so it was always going to be a pleasure to read the romance aspects for me, as they’re my favourites, I can say I was completely satisfied with the love/steam and fantastic chemistry the characters had. The relationship abd romance doesn’t detract from the main plot which can sometimes be the case, I love romance, but I also want more than just that and this definitely delivers, from strong female characters, action, magic, humour and so much more.

I can’t recommend this enough to any fae fans out there, the world and characters are so beautifully detailed and executed , I am greedy in wanting more even though it’s a stand-alone. Fantastic

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

2.5 stars.

I had high hopes for this book.
The story was unique. There was humour, wit, sass, badass heroine, banter, magical touch, all the things I like in a Fae Romantasy. But it just couldn't deliver.

I love myself a fast paced book, but this was just... how should I put it... force sped? Things happened too fast for them to make an impact. Especially the last 40% of the book. It just went by like a bullet train. There wasn't a single "EXCUSE ME, WHAT!?" moment in the whole book. Everything was just so predictable. And the "big reveals" weren't really big at all. And the romance scenes were just so abrupt. It did not make sense. The ending was even more abrupt. I was hoping for some closure, things getting settled, some more explanations, none. The next thing I know I'm reading the epilogue. And that epilogue? Sorry, no.

The plot had so much potential. Everything would've been perfect, if it wasn't rushed. Both the MCs' powers could've been explored further. We didn't even get to see the MMC in action except for that one chapter and epilogue. This could've been written so much better as a longer book, or even as a duology. Sad to see the potential wasted like that.

A Court of Tangled Threads, is about Violet, a halfbreed fae, who lives a meager existence working for a ‘Pest’ removal service and taking care of her sickly sister, Rose. Violet, Rose and their friend Theo are an inseparable trio, whose dialogue is full of witty sarcasm and humor.

The story takes off when Violet unintentionally uses her powers on television, which prompts entities from various backgrounds to begin searching for her. Through this, she meets, Blake, a handsome bounty hunter, who aids them in their escape. There is a layer of mystery to Blake’s character, which has you wondering if he can be trusted and how far he is willing to go to complete his own mission.

The tangled threads of fate is a theme throughout the story that prompts you to ponder their intertwining destinies. The characters of this story are well-developed, believable and likable. They are so intricately crafted that they practically demand their own stories. Violet and Blake's chemistry sizzles off the pages and leaves you yearning for more of their passionate dynamic.

A Court of Tangled Threads is a spellbinding fantasy that weaves together humor, romance, and a gripping plot. This is a five-star read that left me wanting more with every page turned.

Fans of ACOTAR look no further, for you have found your new favorite series!

This story was everything I wanted in a book. Snark, sarcasm, bada$$ FMC, action, magic, and an overall great story. Violet is an amazing female lead character. She is protective, tough and takes no prisoners. The MMC, Blake, is her perfect match. If you are a fan of the dialogue in R.L. Mathewson books, you will thoroughly enjoy Amanda Pillar’s writing style.

This story grabs you from the first chapter and keeps hooked until the last page. Blake is a knight in the Dark Court and is set out on a quest to find a missing princess by his mother, the Dark Queen. His quest leads him to Violet, her sister, Rose and best friend, Theo. Violet and Rose were placed with an older couple when they were kids and have no memory of their parents. I won’t give spoilers, but these four characters go on a wild ride. The secondary characters are just as interesting, and I would love to see more of them in their own stories.

If you love adventure, romance and sass, I highly recommend this book. Your TBR pile needs it.

✨ 4/5 Stars ✨

Spoiler-free summary:
Violet's life has always been about looking after her unwell sister, Rosie - oh, and also keeping her power of being able to snatch souls a secret.
Blake can kill with his touch and is put on a secret mission from the Black Queen - find the missing Princess from another Court.
As Blake and Violet's fates become entwined, they find themselves on a perilous journey to unravel one of the greatest crimes in fae history - while uncovering the truth about themselves.

Review:
I really enjoyed A Court of Tangled Threads! This book is a fun read that kept me engaged all the way through. I enjoyed Violet as the FMC - she's sassy, strong and stands up for herself.

The characters had great dynamics, and there were plenty of moments that made me smile (and some that made me need just one more chapter before bed). It was exactly the kind of book that reminded me why I love diving into new fantasy worlds so much.

This was a nice lighthearted read, after the emotional damage of my more recent reads and I really enjoyed it!

Definitely a strong read, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing what Amanda Pillar writes next! 📚

Such a fun ride!

I chanced upon this book through an ad on IG, and it sounded so good that I had to read it right away. Between the language, violence, and adult activities, this is definitely NOT for the young or faint of heart.

It is quite scatter-brained feeling, kind of like how an ADHD thinks, but it totally works for this story. I loved every moment of it. Violet is one Bad-A$$ B*tch. She doesn't take crap from anyone except her grandparents and sister, and she will fight or end anyone who threatens her sister. Blake, the dangerous bad-boy who chooses to be known as a random bounty hunter, walks a fine-line between obeying his mother and not killing if at all possible. This story really brings their personalities out in all their dark and cracked glories.

I wish there was more of this story to read. I want more Violet and Blake, and even Zed. I liked that guy. So, I hope there will be a second book or three in the near future.《nudge, nudge, wink, wink》

I was provided a copy of this title for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

WAIT A DANG MINUTE NOW— A captivating puzzle you’ll be thrilled to piece together from start to finish, to say the LEAST.

A Court of Tangled Threads will in fact tangle you up, in that you’ll be enthralled the very moment you open the front cover of this slow burn enemies to lovers romantasy adventure.

This was a wildly fun and unique read that literally has so much going on and going for it that I couldn’t possibly put it all in this review or we’d be here all day. Mystery and secrets, pulse-pounding adventure— and yes, there is some 🔥 spice at the tail end of the slow burn romance; plus SO much more!

This is advertised as a stand-alone, but I feel like it definitely COULD be expanded upon, should the author so choose… and I’d be among those that wouldn’t mind one bit if she does. 😬

I really enjoyed this book it took fantasy and fae to a whole different angle! Set in an urban time but with magic, portals, witty banter including some with a horse, Chewy, who I really love. The FMC Violet is a strong, powerful woman who is fiercely loyal to her family! She does everything to ensure her sister is safe and healthy. She has a small found family she would do anything for. I loved this new approach to fae and the intertwined romance. It was full of mythology and action. The world and character building is epic! She’s so descriptive that I can totally visualize everything! Loved the slow burn and romance. I loved the Dark Prince he had such broody vibes that were perfect! It got me on a cliff at the end for sure

This is a fantastical story full of laugh out loud moments, enemies to lovers, magic, and a wonderful plot. Definitely hoping to see a second book for this one! Totally worth adding to your TBR!!!

Meh. It was alright. It was hard to follow in some places due to plot holes and lack of information. It was entertaining, and I didn't hate it. But I didn't feel super strongly about it. It did have a good message though. Even if you think you aren't important, you are. Amanda Pillar could have shown this a little better with better details and deeper characters. There was hardly any world building which made it difficult to envision the setting and people. There wasn't enough information given and it made things confusing. I had to reread some parts to understand what was happened. Characters weren't super deep; I never felt connected to any of them. I'll never turn away spice, but I thought Blake's horniness was overkill. He had some really thirst thoughts at the weirdest moments in the book. If you're looking for an easy fantasy book with low world building, I would recommend but over all, it wasn't what I had hoped for.

What a wonderful book full of magic and mixed blood creatures. White Queen. Red Queen. Black Queen. Blue Queen. The Hunter & The Wild Hunt. Pixies. Soul suckers. What an amazing book!!!!

“That ass…. She could bounce a dime off it, she bet. Nope. Not today satan.”

“It was hard picturing a Troll and a Sprite getting it on, but there were all kinds of crazy kinks out there”

“For some odd reason, guys didn’t like dying before they their rocks off. Who would have thought”

“Rose raised a chipped teacup and drank the tepid liquid within. She’d never really been a tea-drinker -she loved hot chocolate, but there was no cocoa or milk. Coffee had never sat well in her stomach…”

“”I like strawberries.”- Hoyden, Scion of the Reapers”

“”I now have a piece of you in here.” He grabbed her hand, placing over his madly beating heart. “Mine. You’re mine.””

MUST READ SUPER SPICY!!!!

Solid 4. Mainly due to Violet.

So this was a standalone book that took you from beginning to end with some interesting stuff in the middle. I feel like some things were not needed and I feel we could have expanded on others. While I don't mind multiple POV's I felt like I rushed through some of the chapters that were not the main characters. Some of those POV's did not really add to the story just made it at times more confusing. Love Violet! Her snarkiness was awesome. Blake was an ok male MC, not bad but not one of the best. Definitely not a Rhysand! Decent storyline with decent world building with the ability to make this into a series, but ends as soon as the good stuff starts. Spiciness was ok, doesn't really start until about 65% in. Decent read with some action and intrigue and tension. Fun enough to read though.

It has been a really long time since I have had an author build such a rich descriptive universe for her characters and plot where I made myself slow down to enjoy every word of this adventure. It is somewhat a play on a few fairytales where Violet is living with grandparents and they are caring for her sister who is in a wheelchair. All 3 adore her sister but that adoration doesn’t extend to Violet. Violet has a dark magic that no one knows she carry’s. She is unable to physically touch anyone for fear she will steal their soul. The 4 of them live in Borderlands away from the 4 kingdoms and away from royalty. While her grandparents are away on their second honeymoon everyone in search of the lost princess converges on Violet and her sister after they are seen at a live filming of Knight Quest. From there the pace quickly escalates when Violets magic is caught on camera. Assassins from other kingdoms start circling the two women which includes Blake, the son of the Black Queen whose quest is to find the lost princess. As Blake quickly puts the pieces together the one piece that doesn’t tie together is why both he and Violet can touch the other without hurting the other person from there let the sparks fly or dagger fly or whichever do the trick! I highly recommend

An interesting take on the Fae realms

I know the Fae rulers are most usually portrayed as evil and murderous and this tale doesn’t stray from that portrayal. The four courts are now named after colors…with the Black Queen seemingly the worst.
Our main characters, Violet, seemingly an out of control half breed with a seriously dangerous power, and Blake, the son of the Black Queen, Knight of the Blavk Court. He is tasked with finding the missing princess of the Red Court and bringing her back to her queen.
Twenty years into that quest he bumps into Violet while tracking down a lead.
Things get very interesting once that meeting takes place. So many secrets, hidden identities, massive amounts of removing the life, and possibly the soul, from various and assorted people.
Hang on for a ride following Violet, Blake, Rosie and Theo as they navigate their fates.

If you're looking for a captivating fae romance novel that offers a unique perspective and non-stop action, then "A Court of Tangled Threads" by Amanda Pillar is the book for you.

The author's attention to detail is impressive, and the glossary at the back of the book is a helpful guide for those who may be unfamiliar with some of the terms. The pacing of the story is excellent, keeping you engaged without sacrificing any narrative. The romance is tastefully done and doesn't detract from the plot. The main female character is a strong and capable figure, and the male character's abilities and parentage are intriguing. Overall, this book is truly mesmerizing and well worth the read.

XOXO Lottie.

Where do I start with Violet, she is everything I would aspire to be if I was a fmc in a book like this. A whirlwind, fiercely loyal to her sister Rosie and her bestie Theo, with a deadly power (well deadly to everyone else around her!).

Blake is a fae knight/dark prince/mercenary and all round smoking hot guy. He has never met anyone quite like Violet, she demands his attention without trying and when their paths collide sparks fly. Blake is also hiding a dark magic but could it be that Violet is his match in everyway?

I enjoyed this book so much, it has humour, quests, violence, mad queens, blood thirsty characters, anti-heroes, steam and the all important HEA.

I received an advanced reader copy in return for my honest review.

It's a very different kind of book. It's got some great spice but I didn't feel like a slow tension build between the two. It was sort of a lot of story and then a romance and spice. But I liked it. I also loved the little chapter titles. They were fun. I will definitely read Theo and Rose's story. I enjoyed all the extra POVs and getting to know the characters through the story. I'd say it's modern meets fae world and the voice of the story is a lot of fun too. Some parts it was hard to follow who was doing what because it would be like, she looked at her. And it took some puzzling. So it wasn't the smoothest writing and took a bit to read the entire thing. But overall I really enjoyed it and found the plot interesting and fun. Blake and Violet were awesome main characters.
