In this warm and wise self-healing guide, the beloved author of The Sugar Jar offers a roadmap to the healing journey. We all feel shocked when we’re reminded that life is incredibly non-linear, whether we’re already committed to a healing journey or newly navigating a particular challenge. There isn’t a magic pill, checklist, or “simple mantra” that will make everything easy, particularly the road to finding inner wisdom. Self-healing educator, speaker, mental wellness advocate, and author of The Sugar Jar Yasmine Cheyenne expands the conversation about what the healing experience is actually like. The ups and downs of this journey are not often talked about, and many people question themselves or find themselves stalled along the way. But we shouldn’t despair. Cheyenne helps us embrace the realities of personal transformation with her Four Guideposts, which illuminate the path toward Base Camp, Intent, Walk the Walk, and Lessons Learned. When we anchor our transformation journey in these four stages, we are reminded that we are moving forward, even when the road is rough. “When I decided to stop hiding in the shadows of what I’d been through and embrace the hills and rugged terrain of my life," Cheyenne writes, "I saw who I really was and loved her.” In the tradition of How We Heal, Glow in the F*cking Dark, and Wintering, Wisdom of the Path contemplates the challenging seasons of life. Cheyenne gives clarity to the complex journey of self-discovery to help us all reclaim our core, loving selves, repair our wounds, and find peace on the road to healing.

Having lived my journey all my life, I enjoyed this book a lot. It was nice reading the things that we had in common, it, and as I read this book I kept thinking I wish this book was written when I was going the many phases of my journey. It is very helpful, so that you know you aren't the only one going through things like this. This isn't a guide for your journey, it is a book to find comfort, and when you are struggling trying to make it through your journey to get to where you will come out when you make it through, it is encouragement that you can make it through, so don't give up. I think so many women feel alone going through parts of their journey, so I hope they find this book, and when they feel alone, or are struggling, this will help them find peace, it will quiet them so they know they will make it and move on. I received an ARC from HarperOne through NetGalley.
What a beacon of hope! This book is a true gem, filled with meaningful advice and motivation, urging you not to give up. "Wisdom of the Path" shares stories of grief, heartbreak, joy, and overcoming, inviting readers to use life’s wisdom for their journey ahead. With four main guideposts—base camp, intent, walk the talk, and lessons learned—this soulful guide helps us embrace life's challenges with the assurance that we're moving forward.
I enjoyed every page and can’t wait to share it with my sister friends!
I struggled with this book, similar to my experience with her previous work, The Sugar Jar. The narrative is disorganized, and the sentences are overly complex. For instance, 'and this softened part of me ensures that I’m not only highly sensitive to the potential of pain, but I’m also highly aware of the magic that life offers as well,' is redundant and unclear. My mind kept wandering, and I regret spending money on it. I won’t be reading any more of her work from this point on.
I had high hopes for this book. I saw it on the Today Show and Hoda was speaking highly of it. After reading it I have no idea why. It was so cheesy and offered nothing valuable to me. At one point it was mentioned she continued to write the same word over and over in the sand while the ocean washed it away, and that was my last straw 😅 Yasmine seems super genuine and kind. This was just a no for me.

Personally could not finish it. I do think it could be relatable and uplifting to many, providing hope. I would consider this an attempt at a “self help” book and I’m pretty picky when it comes to them. I too easily got bored … I do know the gist of her story, and I believe she is an incredible human with a wonderful story... just not the book for me.
The pep talk I didn’t even know I didn’t need. If you need just a little reminder to trust yourself this book is for you. I listened via audible and the authors voice is soo soothing.
A really good book for those who are struggling in this life. The author shares wisdom that she’s picked up along the way in hopes of letting others see that they aren’t alone in their struggles.
Thanks to NetGalley and HarperOne for an ARC of this book.
I love Jasmine Cheyenne's books. This is her 2nd and it's as good as her 1st. What she writes resonates with me and makes me stop and think about my life and feelings. Her writing gives me courage about writing my own story. And I love that!
Such a powerful reminder to love ourselves deeply. Yasmine speaks to the reader like a dear friend and reminds us that we have the power to create the life we are worthy of living.
another self help book with redundant metaphors and a lack of deep and consistent vulnerability. overall it’s very sweet but I was struggling to finish.
A moving guide to allowing, sitting with the bad moments, learning to forgive and what it does to move us forward. If you've already been "doing the work," Yasmine will show you how to get to the next level.
