A teacher, writer, and lecturer; Dr. Holmes founded the Science of Mind philosophy in 1927, and regularly appeared on television and radio. His signature saying, "There is a power greater than you in the universe, and you can use it," became well known over the years. 4.5 stars - A very beautiful book of prayers, each based on a Bible quote and organized according to themes. I love Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way and noticed this book was highly recommended by her in its suggested reading list and that she wrote its foreword, which is why I got it. I'm otherwise not familiar with the work of Ernest Holmes and at present I'm not particularly drawn to it, but this little book of what Julia refers to as affirmative prayers is indeed very beautiful and uplifting.

Prayers by Ernest Holmes, arranged according to theme, that are as fresh and powerful today as when they were originally published, decades ago. An excellent bedside companion, to start or end a day in high consciousness.
