I liked this book more than the first book because it was found to be more interesting than magician's nephew. The Pevensie kids make their first appearance in this book. They come to a professor's house(actually Digory) far away from their place to stay there till the war was over. The youngest Pevensie, Lucy, one day while playing hide and seek with her siblings finds another world, Narnia, in Digory's wardrobe. But she returns quickly and informs about this to her siblings who laughs at her, except Peter, the eldest who although could not believe her. After few days Edmund, the third Pevensie kid, like Lucy gets into the world of Narnia and sees Lucy there. But when asked he lies to his brother and sister. One day when playing , the kids accidentally broke the window and the kids hid inside the wardrobe and now all four were there in Narnia. Now begins there adventure seeking Edmund, their brother, who was imprisoned by White Witch and to free Narnia from the clutches of White Witch with the help of great lion, Aslan. In the end all four become kings and queens and they establish golden age in Narnia and return to their own land. It is a truly amazing story, keeping us interested till the end.
I decided to listen to this so I can reread and relisten to the whole series that I read as a child and I loved so much, it doesn't matter how old I am I still seem to be enjoying these books greatly, they are so well written, the characters are amazing and the stories are just magical.
my first time reading any narnia book !! :)) i loved all the animals and creatures working together and the kindness of the children too. i can definitely feel the christian symbolism but so far its still enjoyable as someone not in the church anymore & such a magical classic fantasy book :))
It is a really funny book because of how Edmund acts in this book. My favourite character is Aslan and I like the way they describe him. I like him because he so brave and protective when he is with Susan, Peter, Lucy and Edmund. And everyone has feelings for him and I also felt the same as they did.
