Drugging someone without their consent, is not BDSM.
Forcing yourself on someone, is not DSM.

These are not stuff you do in a BDSM relationship, but honestly, even if this wasn’t prevalent, I probably still would not have enjoyed this.

While I enjoy my BL, especially when it is graphic, this was so over the top and creepy that it was off putting. The author seems like they’re great at comedic expressions, but this reads way to goofy. Mixing over the top porn with comedy with rape isn’t what people want from their BL/Yaoi.

Going into 2024, can we please stop putting rape subplots into our BL books pleeeeeeeease.

***blushes profusely*** Ummmmmm. I loved this. It’s a book and definitely has a LOT of trigger warnings, so it won’t be for everyone. DubCon, BDSM, Second-Chance Romance… it was spice in a life of monotony and I really needed that.

Given the cover, when I started reading this I did not realize that it was intended to be a comedy. I did not care for much of its "humor" though. In particular its decision to treat drugging, rape, and kidnapping as "jokes". Outside of this, it was able to set up a few funny scenarios, but they seemed few and far between. Also, the author's treatment of S&M and BDSM seemed superficial at best and poorly uninformed at worst.

The art is decent though and the characters are pleasant to look at. Props and backgrounds are well done and the angles and panel layouts work well in conveying the action of scenes.

Thus, if you ignore its weak plot and characterization it's "ok" as a collection of gag-strips.

This is a fairly tongue-in-cheek manga including BDSM elements, some admittedly poorly negotiated, but aware of the fact as it continues. This is one of the manga I'd read online first and was so excited that it was localized - felt like a title a bit too niche, but I'm glad 7s took the chance!

Some will definitely lean on the consent issues at the front of the volume, and they're definitely present, but the manga is overall a funny, camp sort of evaluation of the "dark BDSM" tropes that are super common in adult manga and novels. Happy to have this on my shelves!

what the fuck. actually what the fuck. why people enjoy making bdsm into rape. also the high school flashback. i know its exagerating a lot of the situations to make it ""funny"", but its not, looks like a child. is it too much to ask to make it normal?
chapter one is juts. ugh. i hate it. and then two and three are kinda good. then rape again. jeeeeeezzzz. it could have been great (for me at least) without the rape, which is made into this romanticized version wher bc its bdsm it fine in here bc we are all degenerates. which, as a said in my last review. thats fine. *rape fantasies* exist. not my cup of tea but dont make *rape* a bdsm activity without the fantasy. cuz then real people excuse this behaviour with bdsm.

This is intended to make "humor" about sensitive topics but in a way too nasty. Not to mention that the BDSM is bad represented.

As far as plot goes...there is no plot 😅...But once I realized it was a gag manga (an extreme one at that too lol) I actually didn't mind it. Also ...THIS IS FOR MATURE READERS ONLY HOLY CRAP. I mean I thought I read some hardcore stuff before but this definitely was way way more. As far as art, well the mangaka has some talent, especially for depicting uh... interesting angles 😎. Anyway...not one to take seriously but a fun read nonetheless.

This is now the most unhinged spicy manga I have ever read. There were bits of it I liked, but over all a lot of things I was not a fan of.

Big content warnings for dark content including:

5/5 🌶️ (how I rate spice written in my bio)

I wouldn’t have read it if I’ve known what it was about, I recognized de author form Rumspringa and give a chance with no hesitation. Otherwise I would’ve never picked it up. I’m not into the main topic, sado and bsm, it’s just not for me.

I did not take this seriously (cause believe me if I did I would’ve rated as 0) cause it does not take itself seriously. It’s funny and enjoyable for the correct people who will find this fiction as non believable real situation. It served its purpose as a erotic comedy and thats much to say.

It was really insane and so bad in many different ways, but I just couldn’t stop reading. I wouldn’t recommend this lightly to anyone anyway. If you want to read it take into consideration the extremely high sex scenes and TW, violation and rape.

HAHAHAHA THIS WAS WAY TOO HILARIOUS WHAT A READ. Of course, this isn't for everyone. This has some pretty hardcore uncensored bdsm/tw moments but if you don't mind that it's extremely hilarious and enjoyable! ESPECIALLY that side story hahahah they're all such a trip! Remember, take this bl with a grain of salt~

One of my absolute faves!! Read bc I loved the author's other work, The Scene of My Rumspringa. Everything from the art style to the humor (both written and visual) are so *chef's kiss*. Mibu is such a sopping wet paper towel of a man, and being paired with a weird gross incelish man makes for such a silly dynamic. Most of the humor relies on the dynamic, with some jokes personally being a bit distasteful imo (the rape jokes). Saw another review that points out that it reads as more of a collection of gag strips, and I fully agree. obv bad bdsm rep, but I don't think anyone should be using yaoi as their baseline for healthy sexual practices irl lol (not to mention, story even doesn't take itself that seriously). Fun, short read overall.

Y'all know you weren't supposed to take this seriously, right?

Some of y'all took this way too seriously when you definitely weren't supposed to. This is an adult gag manga with heavy BDSM elements and no plot. Nothing more, arguably less.

That being said, while I will defend the merits of this manga because like I said, gag, I'm not going to sit here and pretend it's good either. I understand Japanese humor, and I'm saying it's not funny. I understand the lack of plot, but this is beyond nonsensical. We're entering full 2005's fanfiction.net level of crack here iykyk. That alone makes this kind of endearing, but good Lord, it's bad.

Gag mangas as a whole don't really work in 2025, as evident by the many one-star reviews. So for that reason, I'm giving it two, but don't get it twisted. It's one star. Just not for the reasons other people are saying.

Listen, this book is very dead dove: do not eat and problematic as you'll see from other reviews. Keep in mind, this book is completely fictional. BDSM etiquette is non-existent in this which would be a huge problem if it was attempting to say the dynamics in this FICTIONAL book were okay in real life. Its not, just like the author isn't trying to say they are. Basically, if you are okay with very fucked dynamics and just want to read porn with minimal plot, this is for you. If not, that's okay. People can enjoy FICTIONAL things that others find disturbing or uncomfortable. Hell, there were many times *I* was uncomfortable reading this, but I still enjoyed it overall. This book is not for the faint of heart.

Surprisingly, this mango was full of comedy. And it was definitely longer than I expected it to be. But I’m also grateful for that because there was so many fun twists and turns in the story. And I absolutely love the side characters and how their stories respond. I am really gladthat I had the opportunity to read this manga. And I am so glad that the characters got changed. If you read the last place, you know what I’m talking about. I think the way that they came out suits them much better. And I definitely will be reading this again in the future.

This book is..:complicated.

I was kinda ehhhh :// about the first chapter, very dubcon but the middle of the book was great. I love the artstyle and its really funny. I did not like the last few chapters though, i thought the last chapter was about to be a rape scene (luckily it wasnt) and then the bonus chapter was an actual SA that was revealed after to be a scripted CNC and I didn’t like that. But the middle was fun! We love consent.

While I DEEPLY appreciated the graphics and learning about SM community…the story was all over the place and hard to follow. It was more like a friend explaining the idea of a book they are going to write. It was also hard to figure out where my emotions should go in this book- was it meant to be funny? Was it meant to be over the top and ridiculous? Not sure and that’s pretty much how I feel about this book.

I bought this book about a week ago and I couldn't wait to read it. To start off, the cover art is amazing and it didn't stop there everything from the four colored images to the depictions throughout the book were so detailed and such a cool art style. As far as the content of this book it was funny, hot and steamy romance that involves found love, tragedy and BDSM which made for an easy and fast read. While there are trigger warnings and I mean heavy trigger warnings because of the depictions I would say that this manga was great from start to finish which including the bonus stories.

Pass on this one and read Rumspringa instead. What I thought would be a wholesome BDSM comedy was honestly just full of male rape / rape jokes ( which obviously isn't BDSM). I genuinely don't get it because I thought we had moved past this in the BL community in a lot of ways but not with this one. Art is great but pass and read a different series by this author.

This is a dark humor smut with lots of non-con and dub-con. Do not read it if its not your thing. Obviously. Also, again obviously, this is not an accurate portrayal of bdsm 😐

I enjoyed the chibis (young Mibu 💗🥺) and the revenge tbh.

It's great that Azuma knows enough about BDSM to know that it's not about sexual assault. So then why include sexual assault in your BDSM book?
