Sanctuary

Rate this book
Chieko N. Okazaki writes, 'A sanctuary is a holy place, a place hallowed of God, a place of safety and refuge.' This beautiful concept is the centering principle of her new book. 'We all have moments when we are heart-hungry for sanctuary. And in these times of stress and turmoil what is our sanctuary? Where can we find sanctuary?' Sister Okazaki helps readers identify where true peace can be found; for example, through discipleship, unity, trust, and love. With her great gift for analogy, Sister Okazaki brings lessons of eternity into our everyday understanding.

I love Sister Okazaki, and have many times found peace and joy in her words. I picked up this book quite randomly, and found several pieces of specific advice I was looking for— almost as if it were written directly for me. I daresay anyone reading this book could find a piece of wisdom to apply to their lives.

Another uplifting, inspiring book. This is actually a reread, but the original reading was before I did GoodReads.

“Let us listen to each other and learn from each other.” This seems to be one of the important lessons to learn from Sister Okazaki. This book specifically is about how we can create a sanctuary in the last days and how we can be one. Her messages are always so uplifting and I come away with so much.

An uplifting and insightful compilation of thoughts and experiences. Each chapter with a different theme. I enjoyed it and felt I got to know Sis Okazaki a little through it's pages.
