Meeting during senior week on the day of their birthdays was pure coincidence.
It was supposed to be nothing more for Lola Larson and TJ Kingston than three days of fake dating before going back to their everyday lives. Not thinking they will see each other again, they part ways without getting each other’s last names or phone numbers.
Two years later, they’re in college, where they meet again. However, their priorities are different from the last time they saw each other.
TJ wants nothing more than to enter the draft and play for the NBA. It’s all he’s worked hard for, and has made sure that nothing and no one hinders him from achieving his dream. That is until he sees Lola again, and realizes that basketball is no longer his sole priority when he finds out he has a kid.

i’m gonna have to pass. i was SUPER excited for this but i can’t deal with this right now. his pov started him in the bed with a girl🤡 while her pov was about how she’s struggling raising their child as a single mom🌝 nopeeeeeeeee. could’ve easily skip writing him a scene with ow
couldn’t stop myself and skimmed some, he accuses her of lying about the kid🤨🧍🏼♀️ and he has a tattoo of her face🤣 do not test me bc this is some bullshit
🏀 “intoxicating,” he murmurs, “you are fucking intoxicating.” 🎨 i look desperate as fuck, hoping she’ll tilt her head just enough to find me staring at her. hoping that she’ll give me a fraction of the attention she’s giving them. 🏀 she looks so heavenly, it’s unreal. and her smile, goddamn, I love that smile. 🎨 “i’m thankful for peach juice.”
bye they’re literally cuteness overload, i LOVE <3
…… 4.5 ✮ I love this book with all my heart. <3 surprise pregnancy tropes will do it for me every. single. time. 🙈
All I Need has a troupe I’m not a fan of, but for some reason, the book worked for me. I think the author executed it well. I loved TJ and Lola together and their friend group was amazing. I’m looking forward to more from this series. It was a little on the long side, but I really enjoyed this one!

This book was Not for me readers who doesn’t mind about safety/ manwhore H, try it out , the writing was good,
Single mom/secret baby Second chance College basketball
************contains Spoiler**********
H is a manwhore and sleeps around after separation
After reuniting he said he doesn’t care about her and that she is just some girl (i hate it when mcs are cowering and denies their feelings), i saw were this was going, probably will have a lot of ow drama
Im disappointed cuz I was looking forward to this book cuz it had single mom/secret baby
She told him about the baby, and he accused her of wanting attention. Angst so ig its fine
He liked her, had her faved tattooed on his arm, yet he slept around and says she is just som girl.😤
He still hanged out(possibly slept) with the ow after after he reunited with h, even though he told the ow that “he doesn’t want to hang out with her anymore “
And he scolded her about being alone in a restroom in a club, called her a LAIR AND CARELESS after he did all of THISSS , NO AMOUNT OF GROVELING WILL HELP AFTER HIM
This was painful to read
Safety Not safe for me Ow: 1. first time he met her he wanted to sleep with her but she didn’t so he contemplated leaving her to find another girl. 2. He has never been in a relationship/ possibly a man whore 3. After separating he started sleeping with a girl he mate in college 4. There is a scene where he wakes up with ow next to him 5. He mentioned he called h’s name while sleeping with other redheads 6. After they reunited, some girl asked him to go “study” together infront of h, the h it wasn’t studying
Om: 1. Her ex b cheated on her right before she met H
“This world is filled with infinite possibilities. Some are in our control and some aren’t. Meeting you was out of my control, but loving you was something I had complete and total control of. You’re my most favorite and unexpected possibility, and I don’t want to stop exploring the endless possibilities life has to offer as long as you’re in it.”
honestly I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. they had a lot of chemistry that I couldn’t stop smiling, I loved every single character and I connected with the story very well, it was a fast reading, I lost track of time every time I opened the book, this is is prob my best reading so far, the ONLY thing that pissed me off was how he treated her at first, when she told him everything but how he acted later made me forget it dw plus this man was IN LOVE 😭 when he kept saying she was like a sunset? I lost it, he was always saying beautiful things about her, I just want someone who talks about me like that😔 overall I think I just found one of my favorite books<3
TJ and Lola, strangers from different places, meet in Miami at his birthday party the summer after high school graduation. Despite Lola being sad about her recent breakup, she and TJ bond over having the same birthday, with one thing leading to another. They left a mark on each other, but as we suspect, they fail to swap contact info, and go their separate ways after a one night stand.
Fast forward a few years, and both TJ and Lola are juniors at university. TJ is a top basketball athlete with potential for the NBA. Lola just transferred to the university after starting her time in community college due to the fact that she has a 2 year old boy, who she raises with the help of her best friends after being disowned by her parents. You can guess who the father is, and when Lola finds out TJ is at the same university, so begins their love story to figure out how they move forward now that it's clear they have a child together.
I loved seeing TJ get his act together after being in shock, and stepping up to the plate as a young father. The chemistry between Lola and TJ was just as strong as it was on that Miami beach, and TJ won't stop until he convinces Lola to give them a real chance at love and a family. The friend group and found family vibes were TOP tier. TJ's housemates/teammates were incredibly supportive of TJ, Lola and the baby, and there are some cute moments with them bonding with the baby that just melted my heart.
This was a great debut from this author, and I will definitely continue on with the series!
TROPES: secret baby, single mom, college basketball hero, photographer hero, artist heroine, found family, no 3rd act breakup
TRIGGER WARNINGS: parental abandonment; mentions of panic attacks
self note: this has the secret baby trope (which can be very good) but the H is a manwhore and sleeps around with OW after the H and h hook up for the first time (they meet again after two years in college after their first time and the H wears the bracelet she gave him, hangs up the painting she gave him too but still talks down to her and attempts to sleep with OW after meeting her again after two years and you're telling me that he's still into her???), there's OW drama and he basically insults the h a lot based on a review i read. i came to check out this book because of a very popular bookstagrammer raving about this book and i'm disappointed to find out how much drama this one has. i swear to god i'm so fucking done with manwhores and them sleeping around with OW while the h is struggling to raise a child and ofc stays celibate urghh
P.S. thank you to elle for being a godsend and spoiling these things (you can check out her review for more info!)
Thank you to Paris and everyone who shared this book in their socials because that led me to pick it up! All I Need is a college-set romance with accidental pregnancy and secret baby ♡
Taking off one start because ngl at the first 15% I was THIS close on DNF sjnjsdbhkdfjnf pls I am so glad I didn't because the book ended up being so good and adorable! I was just so annoyed by TJ at first sobs I'm sorry
But yes, as I mentioned, I ended up loving the book and from that point forward, everything was to my liking and I adored every moment. Their lil family was everything to me and I enjoyed reading about them growing closer and TJ being so down bad for Lola and Phoenix. He was ready to do everything for them, so they could be happy <3
I'm excited to read more in this series. I'm committed yallll I loved every single character and I know E. Salvador is gonna give us some great romance stories in this series! I can't wait ♡
i am severely disappointed. i felt so disconnected characters. there was a lot of telling and not showing. phoenix felt like a side character. heck even Saint was more of a MC than him and that’s not ok…. their story had so much potential but i just don’t think it was delivered well. would love to read Daisy’s and Saints book tho.
Did this writer grow up Amish or on a deserted island? Real question. Listen I love unrealistic, over the top shit, but this is too far fetched. Let me explain:
1/ Lola’s boyfriend got a bj from another girl and accidentally sent it to her 🤦♀️😂 not likely to happen irl. He is a teen, not a boomer. It served as a lazy plot device, and was unbelievably from the get go. It served no other purpose than placing the fmc in Miami. A little too much of a short cut!
2/ Lola meets TJ at a party in Miami, and they do date, not fake date, for 3 days😂 without exchanging numbers or social media details. Well that is just not going to happen in this decade😂 I would have a stronger inclination to believe in the tooth fairy, than two teens leaving it at that. Again it’s a lazy plot device, to set up the teen pregnancy issue coming up.
The internet footprint is enormous and if anyone can navigate it, it’s the ones born in the 21st century. Overall I have enormous issues with the writing.
3/ She gets pregnant and can’t find him? Kids are the fucking Sherlock Holmes of the universe! How little research was done here.
4/ When she meets him in college again, NOW SHE HAS INSTAGRAM?🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
5/ So it’s two years since they meet in Miami, but he has a bootie call girl at college , Alexia, that he has know for? Drumroll: 2 years! Straight after Lola got pregnant. That certainly sounds like Lola and TJ had a magical 3 days together 🤮
In addition Lola is a terrible fmc, “pretending “ to be unimpressed by real thoughtfulness. She is bringing a newborn baby to job interviews and is seriously tickled that they don’t hire her. 🤦♀️
There is a holier than thou feeling to this story and I hate all the fast curveball plot devices, that served no other purpose than make a shortcut to move the story along.
Time of death at 15%.
Should you read it? NO, it’s terrible at least the first 15 %
4⭐️This was such a comfort read for me! Objectively speaking, I will be the first to admit that this book isn’t a literary work of art! The writing in particular needed some improvement, but despite that, I DEVOURED it!!!!! Couldn’t put it down!
Tropes
• College sports romance • Basketball player(mmc)/Painter(fmc) • Surprise pregnancy • Second chance romance • Amazing found family • No third act break up
What I liked:
• I loved how long it was and that their relationship didn’t feel rushed at all.
• I absolutely ADORED the found family in this book!🩷 How they all helped each other out! I can’t wait to read all of their stories and to see what happened between Saint and Daisy! 🫣
• The domestic scenes between JT, Lola and Nix were soooooo cute!!!
• JT’s possessiveness and jealousy! 😌🤌Whenever he saw her with someone else, he would almost have a seizure!😂
• The adorable scenes between Nix, JT and the guys! Ugh the way these guys dotted on Nix! 🥹
The only two reasons this wasn’t a 5 star:
- JT was a total jerk when he found out about his son. He reacted badly, but to some extent, his reaction was understandable especially for someone so young and popular. He thought she was lying to him and was using him for his money and popularity. So to some degree, I understood where he was coming from, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t annoy me. He did grovel though. He begged her for forgiveness, on his knees, during a storm!😌
- JT should have ended things with that hussy Alexi the moment Lola walked back into his life. This in particular bothered me very much. 😒
That being said, I absolutely adored this book and I don’t give a flying fart about other people’s opinions. 😌😂People complaining that it’s “too long, boring, that the characters were this or that”. Respectfully, stfu! 😒
I loved it!!! 🥹 Hooked from the start and layed on my couch with my eyes glued to this book for the entire day yesterday.
Let me start off by saying this:
I’m not sure exactly what it is, but I think I really enjoy this author’s writing style. The dialogue and storylines she writes always flow so naturally. I really really like that. It makes it so easy to never want to stop reading because I fall so effortlessly into the story. Just as I felt with Please Don’t Go, I was hooked from page 1. Personally, getting me hooked in the beginning is less about shock value, and more about how the writer’s prose speaks to me or how I connect to it from the start. I really really appreciate when writing feels natural. I’m not sure if anyone else feels this way, or even understands what I mean, but I find that a lot of the books I’ve read in the last few months have had very stiff, robotic writing. It doesn’t flow well and I don’t think the dialogue is realistic or genuine. I feel the complete opposite about this author. Now I’m not saying it’s perfect. It’s not. But it’s refreshing to read a contemporary romance that doesn’t have such cookie-cutter writing nor does it feel forced. E. Salvador does a great job with this! Being nitpicky though, I did notice sometimes short phrases are repeated multiple times throught the story like “you’re frustrating, you know that?” That’s literally the tiniest detail, but if I were to be nitpicky, that’s one thing.
I have absolutely no clue how this author hasn’t been picked up my a publisher yet. I’ve read 2/3 of the books she’s published so far and both have been 4 stars and above. And both have been extremely memorable.
I loved Lola & TJ 🥹 I enjoyed their relationship a lot! I thought they had good chemistry and I actually really enjoyed the trope in this book. I didn’t read the blurb (yall know I always go in blind) so I was like wait WHAT 🫢🫢 I don’t even know if it’s said in the blurb or not. I don’t want to spoil it in case it’s not actually in it, but if there are tropes you hate, maybe read the blurb just in case hahahahahhaha.
I loved the side characters in this book so much!!! (Saint, especially). I thought they added a lot of life to the story. And the way his friends were with Phoenix was sooooo cute. Immediately treated him like a nephew and took him under their wing. When they all sat in the living room and Landon played his guitar to help get Nix to fall asleep 🥺🥺🥺🥹 I think relationships for the next books were set up super well and got me so excited to read whatever is next in this series. I have to say though, finishing this book I was immediately like ummm SAINT x DAISY BOOK WHENNNNNNN??😭 I need it. However, I am very excited to see this enemies to lovers between Julianna & Landon because the interaction we got with them…oof 🤣 they HATE each other LOL.
This book is fairly long, but it had me LOCKED innnnn! I told you, I don’t know what it is about her writing for me, but the way it flows just keeps me in it. I’d say my only real critique is that the ending felt a little dragged out. That’s really the only reason this isn’t quite 5 stars.
Overall, I really did love it! 💛
Go check out my lil instagram edit for it @graciieee_reads ☺️
Something that I really don’t like when it comes to interconnected stand alone series is when it feels like the author is more focused on setting up the whole series than the current story being told. There were so many side characters introduced with backstories already being set up that I know exactly who and how the next books are going to go. I don’t mind when there’s a bit of a teaser but sometimes authors get so lost in it that they forget about the couple that matters most. Because of this, I did not feel the connection between Lola and TJ. There was no development and no showing of their love. It was a lot of grand proclamations but not a lot backing it up. Although the epilogue was mainly focused on the main couple, a side couple’s drama was thrown in which I am really not a fan of in epilogues. I think they should be solely for the couple we just spent 500+ pages on.
*Minor Spoiler*
I am also so tired of the slutty, playboy MMC and the FMC who hasn’t been with anyone since him. I also hate when the MMC sleeps with other women after the FMC is introduced. Especially in this case where they have history and he’s kept things she gave him two year ago and had multiple other things proving he’s hung up on her but then goes to his two year long friends with benefits to hook up? And the cherry on top is how this OW constantly antagonizes Lola but TJ never confronts her about it. Oh and let’s not forget the double standard of him going mad with jealousy when another guy so much as looks at Lola.
This may sound like I didn’t like the book enough to give it three stars but before these issue overtook everything else, this was going to be a five star read for me. I did like most of the characters (although sometimes Lola had her annoying moments and as I said I’m not a fan of the manwhore MMC), the story itself was cute, and the romance that did work for me, was great. The beginning had so much potential and I loved the little crumb of angst we got for a second. I may also be influenced because I first read a different book by this author that I absolutely loved so I had high hopes going into this. I believe this one is her first published book and I may be biased but I can see the growth in her most recent book so I’m still excited to continue the series and see what else is in store for E. Salvador.
This was one of those books that by the end of chapter 1 i knew i was going to love it. And i can happily say that i was right. This book hooked me like a middle finger promise! *wink, wink*
Not only did Tj, Lola & Phoenix burrow into my heart but so did the friend groups. — I’ll say it here first. Saint is my favorite. There’s just something about his boyish charm. Landon is another who peaked my interest.
After finishing my second book by E. Salvador, I can confidently say she’s becoming an auto buy, auto read author for me. Her books may be on the longer side, but every single page serves a purpose and pulls you deeper into the story.
Reading All I Need felt like stepping right into the lives of these two characters. I loved how we got to see not only their struggles but also their victories. It made everything feel so raw and real. The found family they built through high school and college warmed my heart, and little Phoenix completely stole the show. He’s absolutely adorable.
I’ll admit, the MMC frustrated me in the beginning with how he handled things, but as the story went on, my feelings for him completely changed. His growth and his family’s dynamic made me love him by the end. And the FMC? She’s exactly the kind of strong, determined heroine I love to root for.
I can’t wait to dive into book two. At this point, anything E. Salvador writes, I’m reading.
TJ, Lola, and their son, Phoenix make the cutest little family ever 🥹
I loved reading this ARC so much and I’m so happy I got to read it early so I can hopefully convince you all to put this book on your TBR!!
TJ Kingston and Lola Larson meet over their senior week on the day of their birthdays and agree to act like they’re in a relationship for the 3 days Lola will be there just so they can have fun and so Lola can see how a boyfriend should treat her.
Fast forward to two years later, Lola shows up at college where they meet each other again, but this time, Lola has a 1 year old, Phoenix!! 🥹
TJ and Lola were just the sweetest! It’s definitely a slow burn and takes them a while to actually be together as TJ has to do some groveling and Lola needs to learn to trust and not overthink as much, but trust me when I say, I loved every second of this book and would not change a thing!!! (I’d probably get rid of any characters who hurt the main characters BUT I can’t do that soooooo)
Read this book if you love these tropes:
he falls first and harder, secret baby/single parent, forced proximity, found family, no third act break up, slow burn and college basketball romance! 🧡
•college sports romance (🏀) •slow burn •accidental pregnancy •reformed playboy •fake dating (in the beginning) •swoon worthy, heart warming, found family vibes🥹🫶🏼
I don’t think there are enough words in the English language that can describe how much I LOVED this book!!! My soul is tethered to this book, these characters, this UNIVERSE!! Ugh I’m so in love with everything about it!!
I have sooo much to say but I’ll try to keep it short, this book is such a comfort read for me, it’s one that you’ll read once and remember it forever🥹❤️ and it’s just everything, the storyline, the characters that you can’t help but feel like you’re THERE with them in the story, the banter and friendships, it’s absolutely everything!!
To summarize, Lola and TJ meet during senior week in Miami (TJ’s home) after some unforeseen circumstances happen, and since Lola is only staying for a few days, TJ instantly becomes attracted to her and offers a fake relationship to get her mind off things… she agrees but as the expiration date on their “relationship” grows closer they decide to throw caution to the wind and fall deep into it (ifykyk😉), it isn’t until 2 years later that life has drastically changed for both of them, TJ’s in the line up for the NBA draft and Lola’s priorities aren’t the same as when they first met. TJ soon realizes that when they meet again and he discovers he has a kid.
Ahhh this book is everything to me!! I will gladly shout it to the roof tops, the love and support and patience and everything that love is SUPPOSED to be, is demonstrated absolutely sooo beautifully in this book. E captured the experience of right person wrong time, and the troubles of societies expectations so so well!!
TJ’s character was beautiful to see, his development as not only a partner but as a father figure, and Lola!! My sweet Lola, she’s a bada$$ b*tch!! Love her to bits!!! She endured so much pain and to see her break through and get her happiness again was heart warming. I cried, I laughed, I felt EVERYTHING!! ❤️ just pls read it! I know you’ll love them as much as I do ❤️❤️❤️
No hacía falta tanto relleno. Y a los personajes les falta desarrollo pero fuera de eso, es DISFRUTABLE.
i find myself skipping a lot of parts. it's very basic story telling. surprise pregnancy. nothing special about the book. so many characters i dont care about.
update: i'll come back to this when im in the mood
the secret baby trope is a guilty pleasure of mine sorry not sorry!! lola & tj & phoenix's little family has my heart, i adore them and can't wait to follow this series as the other books come out <3
Secret baby, college basketball and slow burn romance? I was sold! This book was just so good and despite it being a debut novel it didn’t feel like that at all. It’s on the level of so many other books I have read this year and I was just so obsessed with Lola and TJ’s love story.
The love they created that resulted in Phoenix or Nix as TJ likes to call him is just so beautiful to me. I loved the moment where Lola asked TJ if he regretted them being together in Miami and he was like no cause then Phoenix wouldn’t have happened and he was meant to be. I can tell you that I almost cried my eyes out at that moment. LIKE TJ IS SO DREAMY????? And goddamn Lola is a super mom. The way she handled herself once she got pregnant and made sure that Phoenix would never need anything. She sacrificed a lot for him and it’s so beautiful to read about. That’s one strong woman for sure.
Lola and TJ’s story was so touching and I loved every single part of it. I literally want them to adopt me ASAP. And the whole found family aspect of the book? I’m obsessed. Book one just made me even more excited for book two. I cannot wait to read it in a few days. One of the best debut novels I have ever read. I am so hooked.
⛹🏽 What to expect: — college basketball — secret baby — found family — slow burn — he falls first and hard — no third act break up — he calls her peaches — single mom — dual pov — she’s a live wedding painter
