I decided to read this book after it was featured on the Awful Library Books blog.
I did not really have any prior interest in Bigfoot research, and I can't say that I actually believe in the existence of Bigfoot. But after reading this book, I am more open to the idea. If all the experiences in this book are true, then it would seem that the Bigfoot phenomenon is real. But this book is mostly first-person accounts of Bigfoot and ET encounters that cannot be objectively proven. Throughout the book, the author would write things such as "this person said he had a photograph of Bigfoot, but would not show it to me" or "they requested that their names not be published." I found some striking contradictions in the various first-person accounts, though this may be explained by the later revelation that there are various "races" of Bigfoot creatures. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, including the Jimmy Carter line I mention below. I also liked how the book uses a lot of italics and exclamation points! and usually-unnecessary quotation marks (for example: "alleged," "feelings," "appeared," "blips," "vibed," "presence," "primitive," "folklore," "legend") to get its points across. The author also uses the word "spoor" a lot, which was a new word for me. My favorite chapter titles in this book are "Mrs. Jones' New Friend," "Terror in the Midlands," and "Sasquatch in the Pickle Patch." And there are some great drawings of Bigfoot and ETs!
This book has two main parts: first, a series of first-person psychic Sasquatch experiences, as told to the author, and then an "analysis" section containing more of the author's own experiences combined with citations from related research. Kewaunee claims to have seen Bigfoot several hundred times, and interviewed 76 people who have had similar experiences.
I learned quite a lot about Bigfoot/Sasquatch (the terms seem to be used interchangeably) from the personal stories: --Bigfoot cannot speak, but can communicate telepathically with humans. --They can also communicate with other creatures--in fact, they sometimes use birds to spy on humans. --They may sometimes mine for minerals on behalf of the "Starpeople" (extraterrestrials). --They bang on trees with sticks to make humans aware of their presence. --They can dematerialize to hide from humans, sometimes leaving just their red eyes visible. They can read humans' thoughts and will generally only make themselves known if you have a true love for nature and do not wish to harm the Bigfoot. They will likely not appear to you if you have a camera or a weapon with you. However, sometimes they are caught by surprise and you can see a Bigfoot out in the open if it is distracted by something. --Even though the Sasquatch are very intelligent, they do not completely understand humans. In one story, a Sasquatch did not understand the concept of a human owning a pet cat, and in another, one did not understand that acupuncture was a tool for healing. --They have families, and in fact one contributor to this book had a Sasquatch give birth in her hayloft! --They can control the weather and heal humans of various injuries and diseases. --There are seven races of Bigfoot, and Bigfoot people live all over the world. They range from 4 to 15 feet tall, and have from 2 to 6 toes on each foot. Some look more apelike, while others look more human. One is described as looking like "a human woman wearing a fur coat." --Approximately seven Sasquatch live in Ohio state at any one time. --They give off a garbage-like or skunk-like smell to scare off humans, or when they are feeling strong emotions. --They can appear violent and may even threaten to kill humans, but they are just bluffing. --They like human children and do not like alcohol. --They like to stay up late and sleep until mid-morning. --One woman who befriended a Bigfoot said that he liked to run around on all fours, and his hands and feet would transform into paws when he did so. --At least some Bigfoot like to swim. --Some Bigfoot sightings are associated with the sound of a generator underground--this is because Starpeople are working in a subterranean city. --They are omnivores and have been known to eat fish, cucumbers, apples, Jerusalem artichokes, Indian cabbage, chocolate, and various mammals. --The Bigfoot people do not trust humans in general, because our race is so violent. In 1985, a Sasquatch told Kewaunee that disaster would occur by 1990 if we do not improve how we treat one another and our environment. --Bigfoot/Sasquatch is an important part of the spiritual beliefs of many Native Americans. --Even though Sasquatch are hard to find, supposedly the CIA captured two Bigfoot and hit one with a Jeep. One man reports seeing a Bigfoot kept at the Yerkes Primate Institute. --Many Bigfoot sightings have coincided with UFO sightings. The Starpeople often transport the Bigfoot in their flying saucers. --An ET told one percipient that "President Jimmy Carter was the only president receptive enough to listen to us, because he is very spiritual."
The second half of the book goes into more depth about Kewaunee's personal experiences and puts them in the context of outside Bigfoot/UFO research. Kewaunee has communicated telepathically not only with Bigfoot, but with other animals as well. He also uses dowsing as a method to find where Bigfoot live. For a while, he kept finding gemstones materializing around him that were of Sasquatch origin. He calls these "memory stones" and meditates with them. One time, a Sasquatch touched his arm, and its energy was enough to bend a ring Kewaunee was wearing to the point where it was hard to get it off his finger. Another time, Kewaunee was saved by ETs from driving off a cliff. Sasquatch and ETs have cured Kewaunee of back problems and headaches. He even claims that Native American Kachina spirits appeared to him and told him what herbs to use to cure his liver cancer. Even though this is all hard to believe, it sounds like Kewaunee earnestly believes in these experiences and uses them to encourage people to take care of our planet. He also sounds like a likeable person who will readily believe others' paranormal experiences and will also try to communicate with Bigfoot and ETs on their behalf.
Kewaunee cites many other books that speculate on the nature of humanity, extraterrestrials, and Sasquatch. A common belief is that humans did not evolve, but were placed on this planet by ETs. Many religions and ancient documents support this idea. "Human" footprints have been found alongside dinosaur footprints, and some speculate that these are actually Bigfoot footprints. The Bigfoot/Sasquatch are a more advanced race of human-like creatures, and they will help us save ourselves from our violent, environment-destroying ways. The book ends with a plea for science to accept first-person experiences alongside empirical, repeatable experiments. He wants the Bigfoot/ET phenomenon to be documented, even though Bigfoot and ETs do not want to be experimented on.
I don't think I'll read more about Bigfoot anytime soon, but I am interested in reading some of the other speculative books mentioned near the end of this one. Thank you, Kewaunee, for your bravery in sharing all this information, even if many of your sources did not want to be named or provide their own evidence.
Remember, readers, "A family of Sasquatch could be living in your back lot and you would never know it, even if you went looking for them."
I learned many things about Sasquatch in this book. A great learning experience.
I chose this book because I like many others are curious to know about them. I feel that they are real. Though I have never seen one I do believe I have heard them. It's good to know they are guardians of our forest.
This book has more exclamation points than anything I've ever read. I admit I picked it up ironically after seeing it on "Awful Library Books," but ended up enjoying it. Do I believe in psychic sasquatch? Probably not, but I believe that other people believe in, and believe they have interacted with, psychic sasquatch, and that's entertaining and interesting enough for me. I devoured books on the supernatural and paranormal as a kid, and this brought me back to that mind-space. It was fun.
Sasquatch is a messenger of love sent from the star people to strip mine the Earth of minerals but also to protect it from people who are destroying the Earth! Sasquatch astral projected straight into my heart while reading this book! Pretty hard to swallow. Definitely not for everybody. If nothing else it gives you something to talk about.
This book is essential reading for anyone interested in Sasquatch. The key to understanding Sasquatch is to understand their interdimensional and psychic abilities. If you dismiss this as woo woo, then you will never truly understand Sasquatch ever. I would be interested in more updated research and experiences to be included in the book as well.
Magnificently silly and ridiculous. Unintentionally funny in its suppositions and lack of understanding of the science behind the scientific claims it makes.
I enjoyed reading it like watching a train wreck. It kept getting more outlandish with each chapter and before I knew it, I couldn’t turn away. Like at a carnival attraction. I wish I’d had cotton candy or some popcorn while I read it.
Interesting. After recent events it is difficult to ignore reports of phenomena just because of popular opinion or the currently accepted narrative. I'm not convinced that the author's conclusions are correct, but who am I to call all those people liars. I think they just don't understand what they're experiencing.
Sasquatch are interdimensional, highly intelligent, forest dwelling laborers for aliens. They can teleport, turn invisible, and communicate telepathically and are in fact reading your mind whether you realize it or not. They have families and culture and physical bodies. Lapseritis relates the many conversations and encounters he has had with Sasquatches, who often lecture him on spirituality, love, and environmentalism.
Many people have related a connection between UFOs and Bigfoot. Many UFO contactees describe similar experiences with UFOnauts: telepathy, uncanny abilities and lectures on environmental and spiritual topics. Jacque Vallee has argued these are all just different sides of the same coin and all these disparate phenomena have a single origin. That would contradict the author’s view that these are individuals. Who knows where the truth lies. He does appear sincere and is not the only person reporting these types of things.
It was very eye opening to learn about how the Guardian of the Forests, Bigfoots, approach people, hide behind a tree and watch people, communicate telepathically, teleport, have connection with ETs, heal, help, and etc. They befriend certain people that have specific characters listed in the book. I was proud to learn I have all of them. ;) The book covers only benevolent Bigfoots, though they are malevolent ones as well. You will learn some of their actions in this book, but nothing about their culture, society, and so on.
Some events describe by people were very similar which made the book a bit repetitive. I am curious to know why the author didn't mention much about the Bigfoot society, culture, belief system, hobbies and etc?He had telepathic communication with them. Why not ask these burning questions? Other people in the book had very superficial conversation with them.
There was a lot of consistency in the book with the following interview of a Bigfoot on utube. Here is the link: Interview with a Bigfoot, Part One: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yImlT...
The author relates an incredible tale of an aspect of sasquatch few know about, much less believe. With personal stories, as well innumerable eye witness accounts, he lays a solid foundation for his theories.
