“He was a spy with a license to kill.”
The second installment Saint Assassin Vigilante series is full of plot twists, richly-drawn characters, and sharp, witty dialogue forge a gripping, intriguing, suspenseful and entertaining read.
Ethan Jones delivers a thrilling narrative that seamlessly blends pulse-pounding suspense with sharp, unexpected moments of humour. A fast paced, thrilling and breathless action filled premise. Fans will find themselves captivated by Saint’s high-stakes adventures.

“But even assassins had to live by certain rules, otherwise”, as Saint liked to say, “We’d have anarchy.” Assassin’s Vow #2 isn’t just a book; it’s a journey filled with unexpected twists, sprightly banter, and a dash of emotional drama.

“We live by our word, or else we have chaos.”
Ethan Jones has done a great job in writing, adopting a plain and simple yet emotional language that makes the reader “feel” the book, becoming one with the MC. It’s an engrossing read, building the tension subtly and smoothly, page by page. An unputdownable book, for sure!
I highly recommend this high octane series.

Now to wait, patiently, for May-24 to come and read Assassin’s Revenge #3.

Having enjoyed the Jack Storm series, a twist of fate got me to pick up Book #2 of the Saint Assassin series. Once again Author Ethan Jones is excellent at writing action, combat, car chases and skirmishes with informative attention to detail while keeping relevant to the story. The plot is frighteningly plausible, and the story moves at a fast pace. Great characters, world building, and an ending with the sheerest of cliffhangers make it another addictive series!

A promise made in a previous situation has to be repaid - 4 stars

Two criminal institutions - one in Russia and the other in China have contracted for assassins. When one assassin fails to do a job as requested, the fallout affects criminal and peace-keeping elements such as the CIA. Xavier Saint is an independent assassin who tries to be sure that the people he is supposed to kill deserve the ultimate punishment.

Saint is called in to return a favor and gets mixed up with two international criminal organizations. Each of the parties is aware of the other's strengths and weaknesses. No one shrinks from reminding the pursued targets that they know where their loved ones reside - threats are perceived clearly when one's family is concerned.

In this action adventure, we have activity in Europe, Brazil, Canada, and Africa. The author gives us automobile chases and crashes, airplane chases and crashes, and common foot chases and fights. In short, mayhem is the order of the day; the pursued keep changing roles - cat becomes mouse who becomes cat again. People die or are severely wounded. Police are on the take and the CIA is an important but minor player.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine and occupation of the nuclear power plant are tied into this timely cat-and- mouse "game". If you enjoy being in the action, you will love this book as you will be riding shotgun with some clever sleuths who are trying to stay alive. Enjoy.

The story line is very up to date as the Russian job involves Ukraine and Chernobyl Meanwhile as all this is going on the Saudis are trying to find Saint to eliminate him

We start off really from where Assassins Call left off, with Saint having identified the people behind the power.

Saint is in Austria where he has to meet up with the Russian who he had dealings with before. We’re very soon seeing Saint having to repay a favour to the Russians. This sees him travelling far and wide. During his travels Saint is chased and wanted by a lot of bad folks. While he’s trying to keep his daughter safe, he’s forced into a mission that complicates his current mission. During the execution of his plans he runs across some information that the girlfriend he believed to have died, may not be dead after all ! As always there is non stop action, murder, intrigue, mystery, violence and bodies everywhere. The cast is perfect for the story written here. You won’t be disappointed !

He also finds himself going up against the CIA which is always a recipe for disaster.
How will our hero survive an encounter and a kidnap to return to his loved ones without endangering them?

One thing's for sure, this is yet another fantastic offering from Ethan, which keeps you guessing, enthralled and in the end surprised. Thoroughly worth a read as all Ethan’ books always are.

I Had To Force Myself To Breathe

Xavier Saint is beholding to an SVR director to get the upper hand in an attempt to defeat a group of international liasons who arrange assassinations. He has already handed one over to the same SVR Director, Gladkov. But there are still several more who want nothing more than to eliminate Saint.

Things get more complicated when Saint gets a cryptic phone call from Hannah, a former girlfriend and mother of his daughter, who was presumed dead. This new wrinkle, along with a contract on a SVR assistant director to Gladkov, whom Saint is not convinced of his guilt, brings additional pressure on Saint. And, did I mention that there are several agents of rival assassin liasons who are breathing heavily down Saint's neck? Or the "arrangement" with the CIA in Rio de Janeiro where the SVR target is holed up?

Yep, Saint has several irons in the fire and he's managing to keep them from causing him too many problems. The good thing, so far, is, that one of his assassin liasons does get eliminated. (That's your only spoiler.)

I’ve read just about every book Ethan Jones has released and I’m amazed to say I’ve loved all of them! I’m finding it hard to think of new ways to convey just how exciting these books are. How he maintains these high standards is beyond me but he’s done it again with Assassin’s Vow. Xavier Saint is back in action and looking for answers after the girlfriend he thought murdered called him. (That’s not a spoiler but the end of the first book of the series, apologies if you’ve not read it!) He wants his daughter safe, he wants those who pose her harm dead, he wants those that double-crossed him, also, dead. Simple. Except it’s never simple. Ethan Jones takes his character on a globe trotting adventure dealing with Russian agents, the CIA, and many unpleasant situations along the way. Come for the awesome action, stay for the engrossing story. Excellent as always from Ethan Jones.

This is the second book in the Saint series. It is as stated an “action suspense thriller.” It is hard to imagine that one man, Xavier Saint, can do what he did and not only survives but thrive. We meet some of the same characters that were in the first book and an array of new bad guys. Everyone seems to be after the professional assassin, Mr. Saint. We travel all over the world from Bahrain to Europe to Canada and then to Vietnam. Is his ex-girlfriend, Hanna, actually alive? What is the Russian SVR leader up to? Could the Mossad be involved too? And, who is the mysterious Asian assassin leader and how does he fit into the puzzle? If you are going to read the novel, hang on to your hat for you are going for a fast ride.

Xavier Saint is trying to enjoy some peace and get to know the young daughter he didn't know he had until a little while ago just before her mother, his ex girlfriend was supposedly killed. He receives a call from the director of the Russian SVR ordering Saint to do a job for him as is per a previous agreement of a favor owed. When you are a paid assassin you end up owing some very bad people, so Saint must do the job. While looking for the subject Saint realizes that everyone involved is lying and keeping secrets. Can he sort it all out and stay alive for his daughter and to prove if Hannah is still alive as some information suggests...It doesn't look good for Saint when multiple seem to want to kill him too.

Xavier Saint is not exactly having a name that one would associate with assassination, yet that is his vocation, subject to "his rules"
Yet, here he is investigating an organisation that seems to be assassinating influential people purely for economic gains in the commercial world
Yet he is unaware that this organisation is very much aware of his efforts and are about to do something about it. Murderously.
It is not often that I find myself simpatico to an assassin but this time I am...to Xavier Saint. More so in Assassin's Vow. Author Ethan Jones certainly created quite the no nonsense character here one has but no option to follow excitedly from one explosive scene to the next. Enjoy.

Is the enemy of your enemy really your friend? Or are they just as much your enemy? When Director Gladkov called in the debt, Saint knew that in a world where ally and enemy are often one in the same, the only person he can rely on is himself. Everyone around Saint had secrets they’re desperate to keep, and when all the plots and double-crosses started to snowball, I could not read this book fast enough. I just wanted to know what was going to happen and how it would all turn out. And once all was said and done, I’m now more anxious than ever to discover the real truth about Saint’s lost love.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

Assassin's Vow - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Assassin Xavier Saint turns rogue and takes out the evil organisers of an international hit squad, putting a target on his own back as a result.

When a frenemy calls in an owed debt, Saint must travel overseas to protect his family.
Failure is not an option, but going up against the CIA is a recipe for disaster.
How will our hero survive an encounter and a kidnap to return to his loved ones without endangering them? Who is Lootah?

One thing's for sure, Ethan Jones' riveting novel Assassin's Vow will grip you firmly by the imagination throughout, until the exciting cliffhanger ending. Get your copy today!

You should read Assassin's Vow by Ethan Jones

Why you ask? You have Xavier Saint managing to stay alive from assassins who originate from four different countries; carrying out a mission that was seemingly doomed from the start; ensuring his daughter stays safe from those who may find about her; attempting to determine whether his ex-girlfriend may still be alive; and find out whether or not you will find the time to stop reading amongst all of the action that Saint finds himself involved with once you start reading.

Good luck with all of that!

Eventful Assassin's Life

Saint's name contradicts his occupation as an assassin. His assigned jobs bring him all over the earth where he ends up shooting at others or ends up being shot at. All, unfortunately while his love interest and his newly found daughter are also being pursued. He has enough trouble trying to save his own life let alone the lives of his loved ones. Now the tables may have turned, again, will he survive?

Ethan knows how to write a great book and Saint is a fabulous character. Keeping your child safe isn't easy and finding the truth can be shocking. Read this knock-out story that is filled with all the intrigue, murder, and vicious characters we've come to love about Ethan's stories.
Highly Recommended.

What can I say. Ethan Jones’ second Assassin’s novel is riveting. I could not put the book down until I had finished it. There’s a lot of action, twists, and turns right to the end. I am eagerly anticipating the next story. I would certainly recommend this novel to anyone who loves a great thriller.

Good, action thriller

Xavier Saint has found his daughter and Hannah, and her mother may still be alive.

Saint has to deal with the SRV and a traitor, the CIA, and a Middle Eastern assassin group before he can start his search for Hannah.

Plenty of plot twists and turns, that Saint doesn't know who to trust.

The book is exciting and fun to read. Couldn't put it down.

Yet another fabulous ride from Ethan Jones.
Saint is a great character in a fast paced thriller which had me hooked from start to finish - but it’s not the end of course as the cliff hanger suggests and left me wanting more, much more!!

Great spy novel

Saint makes for a great agent. He is one giant magnet for trouble. His is independent so every country is either after him or want his help. Just depends on the day.
