A once-shunned telepath. An elite enforcement team. A light at the end of the tunnel... if we catch a murderer.

It took a madman for me to prove my worth as an enforcer and find my telepathy useful. Since, my life has improved. I've got a boyfriend who lets me know he adores me, even if he can't speak, and a team that actually sees me as an asset. Topping it off is the possibility of leaving Minefield behind once and for all.

What more could a girl want?

But with enforcer training, self-centered councilmen and a murderer on the loose, my newfound comfort is disappearing faster than a sugar cube under my horse's nose. Each day brings a new fissure my music can't mend.

Pain, prejudice and disillusionment threaten to shatter my newly cemented team. So there's no way I can tell them about me, that I'm an outsider even in Minefield. If we fall apart, the Enhanced will never see freedom.

I may not always get along with my fellow enforcers, but I won't let anyone take them out. Not even me.

LeAnn Mason is an author of YA/NA Urban Science Fantasy with prominent crime elements, her debut novel Illusionary is set to release March 23, 2018.
When she's not writing, she can be found out with her hubby and two munchkins around their Oklahoma home either herding chickens or racing ATVs.
Though currently horseless, she has been riding since her early teen years and adores the giant animals so much that she wrote them into her story. Music is another constant in her life, a literal muse to her writing, so it was no surprise to find it entrenched in the pages as well.

Enhanced Fragmentation - Damn! No one is Safe

I am deep into the world created by LeAnn Mason and my desire for a HEA is being challenged by her Minefield Enforcers, their families, prejudices, secrets, crime, greed, politicians, ulterior motives, murder and mayhem. Good gracious Book #2 took me on a ride as the teen and young adult Minefield Enforcers continue to work together - sometimes reluctantly - to solve murders in their community in an attempt to prove they are capable of living among the ninnies. Primals, Sage and NEs alike must deal with the reality the NE humans aren't the only humans capable of horrendous deeds. Now onto Book 3. I am deep in the rabbit hole and only LeAnn Mason is to blame.

Well LeAnn topped book 1. AMAZING SIMPLY BRILLIANT.
I am still getting over the end of Fragmentary but I’ll forgive her because it was that good.
Nathalee and the rest of the enforcers carry on with their training and learning to live and bond together.
However there is strange murders going on and the team need to rely on each other to catch the killer.
Fragmentary is so well written I really got a feel for the characters and and the settings
Can’t wait to read bk 3. LOVE THIS SERIES

Such an amazing second book and wow the adventure doesn't stop from book 1. Again we are in Minefield with the Enforcers and I so want to be on their team. This one is full of love and too many other emotions I read it in a day. So so good and I need more.

At Times Pulse Poundingly Good! 3.5 Stars 🌟
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)

We're back in the 'Enhanced' Town of Minefield with our group of newly formed 'Enhanced Enforces Agency' or EEA 😎 Its been a few months since they had their first case, The Illusionist, a Sage who pushed untrue visions into people's minds to mess with them, in some cases murder them, in retaliation for slighting him, him being a superior Sage - Idiot. Grrr 😡

They've continued living & training together, becoming a more cohesive unit. Steve, the telekentic & Councilman's son, is still just as superior & douchey as he was on day one!! Everyone else has really seemed to except the benefits of having the Sage & Primal's working together. Their big case this time is the murder of a Primal woman, she has adult children and the majority of people thought she was a wonderful person. Unfortunately storms have washed all trace evidence away so the going is slow.

Unluckily for Nat, Raven stands on her foot which breaks several bones in it! This would usually take about 6wks to heal but with her enhanced healing, that only her & her parents know about, it'll only take a week! The trouble is it occurred in front of Holden so she has to loop him in & hope he keeps her secret!!😳 Jade & Dane become closer and start dating 💕 They're really cute. There's now 2 couples on the team 😍 The biggest shock is Dev has started dating too rather than just sleeping around, it's a big step for him!😊💜

I enjoyed this book but not as much as book 1. I would've liked more focus on the work & training of the team rather than the constant tangents that Nat's mind wanders off into!! They got extremely annoying in this book, for me, From a practical standpoint alone it's a completely unsafe practice for an enforcer to engage in 😳 Stay alert woman for heaven's sake!!🙏 It lost a star for me as it became such a big part of the book & on the whole I found her internal ramblings mostly without point 😞 I love Nat & Jade's friendship and hope that doesn't get lost in book 3 as Jade keeps her human & they're funny together no matter what trauma they face!😢 I loathe the Councilman & hope Steve changes and becomes less of a bigoted douchecanoe & stands up for what's right!! I'd like to see Nat & Holden move their relationship on some too, I think it's time.👍🔥

I'm looking forward to book 3, I'm hopeful it'll be more along book 1's lines but with their growth as a team and individually added in! High hopes as this is a superb world!! 3.5 Stars 🌟

I received a digital arc in exchange for an honest review. This is simply my opinion on the book and is not influenced by any external factor.

So, I finished reading Fragmentary, the second book of LeAnn Mason’s Minefield Enforcers series. I read the first book back in June, and I really liked the whole investigation and murder-mystery concept mixed with fantasy. Things I enjoyed from the first included a strong theme of friendship and well developed characters, as well as the perfect blend of crime, dystopia, science fiction and fantasy.

However, I can say with certainty that my expectations of this story were met, if not exceeded by reading Fragmentary.

Here’s what you can expect while reading Fragmentary (note, spoiler free)

• Many of the characters are older teens, possibly making the book lean toward the new adult category; however, it still reads like a typical YA novel and apart from some curse words, is a clean read.
• Be prepared for some heart-wrenching moments when reading this; two in particular: the first being when Holden talks to Nathalee about his past, and also at the end.
• There is more of a romance focus in this story as Nathalee gets closer to Holden, especially after the incident that takes place in the first few chapters.
• We will have to solve another mystery, like the first. The only thing I wish though is that Nathalee got to use her telepathy to find inconsistencies in people’s statements more often.
• As mentioned earlier, that ending – definitely makes you want to read book 3 right away, but might be a bit emotional.
• There is still a very strong theme of friendship, especially with Nathalee and Jade. I also loved the interaction between Nathalee and her father, they get along so well.
• We learn more about Holden and the reason why he cannot talk (it’s quite heartbreaking tbh).
• Still going strong with the musical theme as Nathalee uses music to block out unwanted sounds from her telepathic mind. I loved the musical references and tried to figure out what each song was with the clues given.

Overall, this was an amazing read, one I will definitely reread in the future. I look forward to seeing how the series concludes in the next book.

This author's worldbuilding continues to astonish me. There are two factions forced to live together, and they couldn't be any more different than night and day. But when the enforcers form a bond to fight the evil that seems to plague their community, just as it does in the human communities on the outside, they are also forced to work together.

It is exciting to see how these two different types of people, the Sages and the Primals, learn from each other and learn to depend on each other as they search for the latest villain of the story. Nat is placed in a position where she has to tell Holden her biggest secret. And in return, Holden opens up about a childhood that was a miracle he survived. We see these two draw closer together, find common ground, and discover the worst and best in each other, all while they attempt to solve the newest mystery.

And in the meantime, the the story had me laughing out loud and crying through a box of tissue. There were a couple of moments in particular that just about broke me. I am thrilled to be able to watch the author's writing come alive and see her take bold chances that pay off in the end. I loved the continuation of this story, and I can hardly wait to see where she takes these characters next.

Lots of spunk and sparks!! We see our favorite Enforcers back to solve a new case. We also see the main couple grow closer. Nathalee faces some stressful events and has to rely on Holden. We also discover a few of Holden's past secrets and it just makes him even more loveable. Ms. Mason stayed true to her characters in this! The names that she has chosen to use are so beautiful!! The plot is a bit slowed down in places but that's just to do some phenomenal story building and character development. The dialogue is witty and intelligent. There is one major event that you won't see coming and it will totally make you gasp!! The ending is truly poignant and just makes you have this burning desire for book three to be in your hands!

Book 2 did not live up to the first for me. It was still a fun and interesting story. Again the author did an amazing job with the writing and storytelling. I just had a few issues. It started off a little slow, and it took me a while to get interested in the story. After a while though, I got totally invested. I looked up and suddenly was at 90% without realizing it.
Also, the romance fell a little flat in this one. I just didn’t get all the feels this time. I still loved the characters, their relationship just felt a little forced maybe?
Lastly the author completely betrayed me with that ending. Not cool at all. I guess it makes for good storytelling when you pull the rug from under the readers.
I’m still quite looking forward to the third book.

A lot happens in this book. There is a mystery to solve and we get to know the secondary characters more in this book. I would recommend you have a box of tissues ready, the author surprised me with what happens towards the end and it ends on a sort of cliffhanger. I am dying to get my hands on the third book! The book does start off slow but the pace picks up as the story progress and the suspense really picks up towards the end. The author has you turning the page in anticipation.
The relationship between Hudson and Nat get a bit steamy without it getting too far. There is some violence but no sexual content.

Couldn't put this book down

I loved this book right from the start. The way that the characters were developed, and how the team grew as they got used to each other and learned how to work together really was well done. I especially loved the connection between Nat and Holden, as it developed into something more. I don't want to give anything away but this series took me by surprise and I couldn't put it down until it was finished. RIP sleep let's just say. If you want a good read that's worthwhile this series is worth it, the connection between Nat and Holden is very unique and that's what I love about it.

Fantastic second book in a trilogy!! You don’t hear that too often!!

It was a little frustrating how the guys, Devlin & Holden, weren’t appreciating Nat’s skills as an enforcer. But she proves herself in the end. I’ve really come to like the team, except “boat shoes” Steve. It’s been an adjustment living and working together, but things are coming along.

I love that Nat is no push over and sticks up for herself. She’s also willing to do what it takes to be the best enforcer she can be.

I wasn’t really happy with how all turned out in the end, and I hope it doesn’t cause the team to fall apart. So… on to the last book!!! Eep!!

Wow, LeAnn Mason has done a fabulous job with her second book. “Fragmentary” is intense and will keep you on your toes. Nathalee and Holden are amazing together and make quite the time. Great character development on all the Enforcers. I really felt you, as the reader, get to know each team member pretty well. The ending was nail biting and very tearful. Have tissues ready. What will LeAnn have for us next? I can’t wait to find out.

Get ready for another emotional rollercoaster. Fragmentary picks up a little after we left off in Illusionary. This time though, we get the chance to delve deeper into the team of Enforcers. One thing I admire about Nathalee and Holden is that Nathalee is STUBBORN... like beyond stubborn. And Holden just accepts this as part of her character. This is shown in full excellence in this book. I can't wait for more Leann. May even forgive you for that ending..... we'll see.

Well done, but sad

Prospective reader-

You need this book. If you're here, you've probably read book one. This book is better. And so much more involved. Just buy it. I can't explain it without giving it away.

LeAnn,
Why?!?! Why did you do this to me??????????? After all this time!!!

Please tell me there's a third book coming out that'll make sense of this. I'm hooked and you're making me wait for justification and answers.

First of all fantastic job once again. I feel like Minefield is a real place. While I feel like this book starts off at a slower pace than book one it is far from lacking. We get to know more about the team and The Enforcers. Love the twists and turns when it comes to their cases. It ends in the most devastating way but with a major cliffhanger hanger. Waiting to see where this goes. I could so see this series lasting forever

Fragmentary was awesome. Nat has such a great boyfriend Holden, and we get to find out more about him and his past, boy did that guy get better in my eyes, he is such a extraordinary person. also Nat and her team have a new case to catch a killer and have to deal with things happening that threatens to have the team fall apart. And they cant afford that to happen. The Ending have me stunned and I cant wait to read more in the Minefield Enforcers series

An exciting continuation of this series. The characters continue to grow and develop. The witty banter of the main character keeps you laughing. The author has nailed the attitude of an 18 year old sarcastic, witty teen girl who secretly just loves life and those around her. Seriously I can see this series becoming a tv show. NCIS meets Shadowhunters. This series is a must read for crime solvers who love a little supernatural throw in! Can't wait to continue this journey.

After the first book I had wondered where the author was going to be able to take the story. I picked this up and was hooked from the first couple chapters. The innocence of the budding romance is nearly perfect and the ending - shut up! I predicted it but totally didn’t at the same time. There’s def a couple wtf moments. Ha! This is definitely a fun read that I recommend

So glad to see the story from Illusionary continue! Nathalee, Holden, and the rest of the enforcers gang are back with an all new adventure.

The characters continue to grow and bond together as a team. We get suspense, drama, romance, mystery, and everything in-between that makes Mason's writing so intriguing.

I'm going to be reeling from that ending for quite some time!

I loved book 1 and book 2 was even better! I loved all of the character building and getting to see more of the minefield world!

This book had humor and some much-needed sexiness and all of the suspense!

The ending was jaw-dropping and utterly heart stopping. I'll be eagerly awaiting book 3!
