Review :
When I was being sad thinking one of my favourite thrillers is end, the author drops the 4th book of the series and I was ecstatic to see it.
If you are following me for a long time then you would have known I love "A Unit 22 series" by "Mainak Dhar" and has a huge crush on Major Aaditya Sen. And I love every thrilling, secrets, heart pounding adventures he takes part with his comrades.
This fourth book starts slightly differently than the others, as the book starts with romantic vibes and a life crisis our favourite MMC is going through, if he's going to follow through this long distance relationship with his lover or not. But soon we are back to the main plot, in which Aadi with his fellow members of the unit are send to a simple tranning and liaison job. But as usual it truns out every other thing than just simple.
Just like the last three books this is also action packed, with humor with emotions and secrets and mysteries with some major twists and turns, that will engage you till the very end.
I love the book, the tension, the thrills and the ending is again perfect. If you like little romance in your action packed thriller, you'll like it, if you don't then it's still worth the read, as the romance part is very little. But I will highly recommend the book to all thriller lovers.

This story talks all about the patriotism for country and along with it the sinner who left some missions arduous with their betrayal.
A lot of can be learn through this book like the reach of the thoughts during this whole mission process and the credibility of the mates which matters a lot.
The chapters consist more than the tale and i enjoyed all of them especially White Elephant, Long Iceland Iced Tea because of the juxtapose of humour and emotions in them.
My viewpoint:- No doubt that author Mainak Dhar is an amazing thriller writer who has published so many books with same genre which were appreciated before and now comes this one, again a worth comeback with a wonderful story which kept me along with this read . Meanwhile I'm not so much interested in these kind of genre but still i kept choosing this book over all the others because it is twisted as hell and the events the protagonist play in the story is breathtaking. The way entire plot is organised around one event is really a big deal. Applaud to the author. I enjoyed each episode of the story which was finely narrated and fabulous choice of words. After 3 dangerous mission Major Aditya is hoping for a break and is relieved when he assigned for routine mission on a picturesque Island nation. But the tranquility is disrupted when a violent coup breaks out and the Unit 22 is caught in the crossfire. Will Major Aditya able to complete his mission?

Another thriller in the series of Unit 22 coups to safeguard India's interests and people under the hood.
Unit 22, a covert Indian unit headed by Major Sen, the main protagonists are headed to Maldives to train Maldivian troops, adding in a few fake trails to make them ready for any defense problems.
But just when Sen is ready to move on before the final test, something unexpected happens, an attack which they have to work hard to protect Maldivian President even when they know, they are outnumbered.
I have always been a fan of Indian thrillers as there is a complex edge added, mixing in the need-based ideology of why good people do bad stuff, the author ticked all those marks here. And Oh Boy, this book surprised me even more as it is action packed and nail biting, that you don't know what's really going to happen in the next second, are things going to get resolved or not.
This book truly kept me on my toes. Also, the camaraderie between Unit 22 comrades was chefs kiss. Sen was at his usual bold troublemaker self, which made it fun. This book, with all its humanized elements, made the reading experience very satisfactory.

Now, stationed in the Maldives, the unit, led by Major Aditya Senare, embarks on a mission to train the Maldives Special Forces, entrusted with safeguarding their President. However, the peace' of the island paradise shatters when a bloody coup unfolds, thrusting the protagonists into a desperate battle for survival and the protection of those depending on them. And on this mission that never officially happened, they are killing enemies whom they never officially killed.
Personal insight:-
1) the plot takes the reader to the world of military operations, betrayal, struggle between duty and personal relationships through the themes of loyalty, betrayal, patriotism, and morality.
2) The characters are realistically crafted, each with their own distinct personalities, strengths, and flaws this makes the plot more realistic and engaging.
3) The author skillfully balances fast-paced action with thoughtful plots.
4) The plot shaded light on the complexities of a special force officer's profession while dealing with his personal struggles.
5) The description of Maldive's beautiful streets, beaches, give an extra layer to the plot.

Our country is protected not only by our armed forces but also by some special task forces which work from within the country, among the people and for the people. They are independent of the policies and politics, so that they can give their best. This is a story of such task force.
This book is the 4th installment in the series of stories of Unit 22. The narrative gives the reader a flashback and background of previous stories which makes this book eligible to be read as a standalone one but if one has read all three they will be able to connect with the characters at an emotional level.
After reading through all three I felt an amazing character development of the characters of the story. We see a soldier breaking down and standing up again, fighting for his country, learning from his mistakes and being best at his job.
In this book too, Mr. Dhar gave us a picturesque story, from the beaches, fight sequences from the movies and a suspense story with great twists and revelations. At places it feels that the narrative is too long and can be skipped and if you do you will find the story as fast moving movie.
Readers looking for suspense thrillers and action packed stories can definitely pick this one up.
