Didn’t like this book as much as the first one. Cass, the main character, really came off as holier than thou which I found to be a stark difference than the first book. Her blasé attitude towards the girl with the bomb in her throat and her need to save the girls life really put the whole party into danger. I get her ethos of ‘saving a life means humanity still exists’ but it just felt like that ethos doesn’t matter if you blow yourself and your brother up.

Ringer’s story line redeemed this book for me. Vosch running tests on her and the faux escape sequence was a good read.

I think that this book was not as good as the first and for a few reasons.
1. I plain don't like Ringer because she reminds me of Clariese from Percy Jackson and I don't like Clairese.
2. I don't like the fact that the group is kind of hiding and waiting for the danger to come to them.
3. Razor added nothing to the story line and was just added to Razor's story so she could have a potential love interest.
Other than those things the book was pretty good.

This book sorely lacked plot compared to the first book in the series. Ringer’s backstory, while interesting, lacked purpose within the context of the book and felt out of place. I think this series might have been better had it just been the first story.

I do plan on finishing the trilogy but I fear this series will not be a reread for me.

Very entertaining second novel in the trilogy. The different character names were a bit confusing at times but I really enjoyed the plot. Excited to read the third book in the series and see how it all ends!

Ok, FLEW through this, and the series TBH. I think the storyline lost track a bit, but this is more a 3.5 rating. I liked the dual POV, and when I was able to understand what was going on I thought it was interesting. Still so entertaining and keeps your interest.

I really enjoyed the first book, but found this one very slow moving through the first half. Towards the end the pace picked up and I felt more connected to previous characters and any new characters.
