Well this little book will pull at one's heartstrings! My niece's heart immediately went out to this little porcupine in need of a good hug, and she expressed all kinds of sympathetic little sounds as I read this story to her and her brother. Just a sweet story, with *very* simple line drawings, but boy, it does have an impact.

One lonely porcupine longs to have someone to hug. Most porcupines are happy to be left alone, but not Elliot Kravits. By the end of the story he meets a friend who might be willing to give him the hug he desires.

This was a cute and silly offering but it is hard to argue with an author who choses a name like Elliot Kravitz for a porcupine.
