Devi kavacham is an armour comprised of holy names of the supreme mother goddess, Durga also known as Chandi. this kavacham is chanted before chanting the glorious chandi Patha, also known as DFevi mahathmyam or Durga Saptashati, this is highly revered by the devotees of the mother goddess shakti. this is only of the most prominent hymns of the Devi. This very secretive hymn was taught to sage Markandeya by brahma the creator, for the welfare of all the beings.Chanting this and praying the goddess for protection helps us gain protection from all kinds of problems and negativity. the phala shruti - the verses describing the benefits also says that the devotee attains invokes energy of goddess Chandi by practicing this kavacha and attains good health, strength, wealth, longivity, glory progeny and liberation in the end of this life.. diseases, wild animals. insects, venom, sorcery and different evil spirits will not be able to cause any harm. they all get destroyed in the proximity of the practitioner.May we chant this holy hymn regularly and attain the blessing of the goddess.
