Bones and Sloan must navigate a treacherous love as they discover their fated connection, but trust is a fragile thing when secrets and passion intertwine.Expected release is early 2024.
This is book two in the Knights of Hades series. This book picks up where Bones is frustrated that he is on babysitting duty for Sloan. But what bothers him most is why he struggles around her; he felt he had to protect her even though Sloan was with the enemy. This book follows Bones and Sloan on a discovery that your past does not determine your current and future self. Both these characters are haunted by their past. The author does a good job of adding in that Sloan goes to counseling for help and after what happened to her, it a great tool for her to heal. There is a happy ending. Read On!
I really like this series, I've read the Nightshade vampires and I want more. This author makes her stories grab you right from the beginning and hold your attention. Looking forward to more of her work.
I enjoyed this second entry in the series but not as much as the first book. I liked both main characters separately, but, as I thought with the first book, their relationship seemed rushed. I also thought the finale of this book was super rushed. The tension just wasn't there liked I hoped it would be. The club is gearing up for this big huge fight and it ends up being a blink and you miss it situation. I wanted to see the FMC own her abilities and choose to use them to save herself or Bones, but we didn't get that. I guess the argument could be made that she finally made a choice for herself. Overall, while this wasn't as enjoyable for me as the first book, I still liked it and am looking forward to the next installment!
