This series was so pretty. Book 4 was way better than 3. I can’t decide what it was about book 3, it was just slower than the other books. But overall I really enjoyed the entire series.

Last book the end

This is the last book, book one starts with three characters journey Jessica, Laec and Cifta.we jump to each POV they do meet at points and take journeys together but each have a journey. For Jess she wanted to join the Calyx with her two familiars but when there, she finds out secrets so her journey is complex, growing as a person and finding answers, for Laec he is sad broken hearted rejected by love, but his queen for sees danger to her cousin and sends him there to help the soft hearted kingdom and report back so she can help but on the journey he meets Cifta and his heart beats again but bad timing for both. Cifta her father has arranged marriage to a prince for her she has never meet him on the journey to him she meets Laec, but loyal to her father she journeys on only he is not kind and she finds more problems along her journey.
Each character has complex storyline and you travel across four books to the end.Jess is more in play then the others at times. But it all links up.

I give this 5 stars because it original and has complex storyline with highs and lows covering all kinds of reads great delivery with shocking twists.

Also think there is another independent book set in same world.a star in Darkness? Not sure why? Will read next

This author is one of my favorite authors, she has a way of really telling a story with such beautiful imagery and alot of detail that some authors just miss by focusing on the words the characters are saying instead of focusing on the story as a whole.
I think this was a full circle ending to the series, albeit bittersweet because who didn't love every single one of these characters and the thoughtful world that was created.
One of the things that I liked most about this series was that it did not follow the norm, there was a mystery or case to solve, like so many books with magic and the love stories were not the main focus. There was of course a battle but we knew that was going to happen. I really can't say enough good things about the series as a whole. I think the characters are came full-circle as well, throughout the series and even though there was a happy ending, there was also some unexpected sadness for characters that we didn't think would happen. So it was not predictable which can happen alot in these types of series.
I highly recommend this author's books overall and this series is definitely one of my favorite.

Knorr knocks Prince of Autumn out of the park! I've been riveted in the Scented Court series from the beginning. Her world-building is stunning, her characters are utterly likable and compelling to follow along with. This book is enriched with magical animal and insect familiars, a vibrant cast of incredible abilities, a villain you both fear and understand, and a camaraderie to envy.

This final installation in the fae series, especially the last grand conflict, had me gripping my Kindle into the wee hours of the night. So much culminating with these beloved characters—Laec, Jessamine, and Cifta, the three whose perspectives guide you through this epic and enchanting series. There were a couple of delightful surprises as truths came to light, lovers could finally unite, satisfying face-offs were had, and a certain cameo had me cheering like a true fan girl (check out the Elemental series if you haven't yet!). I loved this book and story so much that I wanted MORE of it. This book wrapped things up in a beautiful, poetic way... and I'm not ready to leave the fae realm of Ivyrindi yet.

Honestly, AL Knorr keeps getting better and better with each book and series. She's one of my favorite authors, and this book just shows her writing and storytelling abilities continue to grow and blossom beyond imagination. Thank you for all the beautiful work you do!

With every review I wrote for this author's books, I always say how much I love her writing and her worldbuilding. And with every book I feel that it's her very best book up to that point. And then she writes another one and it is always even more amazing. This series was absolutely mindblowing. I loved how she took a universe that we see very little of in her previous books and then built it up for this series. We get to see the story from three point of views - Jessamine, Cifta and Laec. This last book had very little of Cifta, who got most of her story arc wrapped up the previous book. But we get the endings for Jessamine and Laec! I am trying not to give spoilers, but it's amazing how much Jessamine has evolved during the story and the events in this last book are the icing of the cake. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes fae fantasy and earth-based magic! Oh, and the cameo of a certain Wise made me squeeeeeeeeeeeeal!

This series has been a pill to get through. Not that it's bad, I've had so much going on, there were days I didn't have time to read more than 5 minutes.

Okay, so this one answered a TON of questions, thankfully. I was about to pull my hair out over the twins! Great twist there! (or maybe we found out in book 3 and I'm misremember?)

Laec and Cifta are back with more! But here's the battle we've all be waiting for! Lots of twists and turns. Some unexpected occurrences.

Disclaimer: adult language, fae, grief/loss, loved seeing the lions again, animal/insect familiars, clean (fade-to-black), light kissing, magic, light gore, epic battles, and our questions are mostly answered! I'm curious about Jess's friends from her small village. But for the most part, I'm very happy with the conclusion of the series...but wait!! There's a book 5!

Such an incredible series

I've enjoyed A.L. Knott's other works before this. But wow. This is my new favorite. I became fully invested in the characters, the kingdoms and the conflicts that each became involved in. The imagery is beautiful and sucks you in. The story is well written with just enough detail so you can see what is happening in your mind without being superfluous. You're caught up in the mystery with just enough fed to you in small bites throughout the series to keep you sustained but needing to figure out more before it ties everything up satisfactorily at the end. There is plenty of heartbreak but also plenty of joy. And I must say, that final paragraph brought me to tears. Great end the series.

I have seriously enjoyed The Scented Court series.

I got halfway through the prologue for A Prince of Autumn before I was crying actual tears it was so emotional.

The relationships growth between all the characters in this book was truly wonderful and even till the last few chapters I didn't know how some of their stories would turn out.

It was so easy to picture what was going on from this fantastically easy to read book.

I have loved all the magic and the familiars in this series as well as some interesting fae characteristics that I haven't seen before in a book.

I will absolutely read more stories from this author any day!

This is an epic ending for an incredible series that has had me hooked from start to finish. The world building has been descriptive and beautiful and the characters have grown so much on their journey and to see them come together when they needed to was amazing. It’s well written and action filled as we pick up from where we left off and the author has done a fantastic job intertwining the story and bringing everything together including the various twists and turns that I did not see coming. It’s been one hell of a journey for us and these incredible and magical beings and I loved how the author gave us an ending worthy of this series.

SUCH OVERWHELMING BEAUTY in all things has bought tears to my eyes. The love that triumphed, the souls that sacrificed, the wisdom of a child and the faith and goodness of the people in their fight for the greater good. Oh yes, there were the bad, the evil, the misled and those who chose to live and fight under evil leadership, over the choice of death in disobedience.
And the animals, insects, plants and flowers, spirits of the past and present were so overwhelmingly beautiful.
This book, this series, will capture your imagination, fill your heart and lead you on an unforgettable journey. A. L. Knorr you are truly gifted, I love your books, I am one of many!
RECOMMENED!

What a ride this series was! It’s YA for starters but felt so interesting to read because the plot mov d along perfectly! I really recommend people read this series because it’s just so magical, with the flower fae and animal fae!
Having 3 main characters all with interwoven plots is by NO means an easy task to undertake. However this author delivered that and so much more! Every question our characters have gets answered by the end of the series! Jess looking for answers about her mother the whole book and finding answers about her brother was kinda a shocker for me.

Lec struggling with his ability to not use magic being far away from his land was cool. It made him adapt and grow as a character.

Clifa growing from this meek girl who just wanted to please people into a queen was great character growth.
There is no smut in this book but the plot and world are just so beautiful that if you LOVE fantasy reading and fae-read this series!
Perfect ending to everything!

Such a fantastic epic…!

I have read tons of books since finishing ACOTAR that have not quite met the high bar that it serves for me in comparison to other epic fae fantasies. A.L. Knorr has really grown on me and upon finishing this fourth book in the Scented Court Series, I am blessed with the same feeling of satisfaction I got from ACOTAR, but upset over the fact that it’s nearly over.

The way this journey has unfolded for Jess, Çifta and Laec has been absolutely incredible to soak in.

These books will definitely be worth purchasing physical hard-backs for my display of favorites.

This is the ending I have been waiting for in the Scented Court series! The world building and characters are amazing through all four books. There is a surprise visit from my favorite Terran Elemental which I was not expecting. The Flora Fae realize they are more than just beautiful entertainers. Questions are answered, missing family members are found and the bad guys get what they deserve. With a lot of bumps along the way, Jessamine and Sasha, Çifta and Laec as well as Isabey and Shade get their happy ending. I am sad for this to be the end, while happy their story is complete.

I love this series & am sorry to see it end. I am very happy with how well everything wrapped up. Lots of surprises & twists. I loved seeing Georgie pop up & to see how she has grown since we first met her. I was a bit confused when she I first showed up as Elpheme’s representative, but WOW! Interesting to see a completely different side of the Calyx. Also loved how the Pride helped protect Solana. Even though this series is complete, I hope to see some spin-offs with so. Of these awesome characters in the future!

This is the last book in the series, definitely worth reading to see what everyone will do for peace. This was an engaging story with so much to follow we see the conflict from Jessica, Laec and Cifta points of view. The story was well thought out and every little thing mattered. I enjoyed seeing how each character found happiness and strength. I highly recommend you read this book. The narration was well done, helping draw me into the story. I enjoyed how each charter was represented. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

The perfect ending to a fantastic series! I have loved this series from start to finish but was really struggling to see how the story would resolve all of the separate subplots in a satisfactory manner.
I really needn't have worried, the conclusion was everything that I wanted and more.
It really takes an exceptionally talented author to tie up all the loose ends in such a satisfactory way.
Yet another great series that I would not hesitate to recommend.

What a great wrap up to a great series. There were definitely some twists and turns that I didn’t expect and some pretty big emotions over some characters. I loved that you followed the three main characters throughout the series. I could definitely tell the different voice of each person and was very impress with the author’s world building abilities. Plus it was great to have some chemistry and tension without needing to see the bedroom scenes. 5 stars for sure!

An end to the scented court series.
I am not sure how I feel about the ending - as far as it being a complex ending.
I think I expected a more epic end battle? I found myself asking when all the action was going to happen.
I did enjoy the environmental themes of the book and the ending.
I loved the characters throughout, especially Beazle.
I adore Laec.
Overall, a very beautiful and a cohesive end for everyone in the name of love.

Books 2-3 were my favorite out of the series.

lovely series

I just finished and I am not ready to say goodbye to so many wonderful characters. There was so much love and heartbreak in this series but especially in the last two books. While some may not have loved the romance in the last couple of books I think it really helped with all the heartbreak that was to come. I love AL Knorr books. She sure knows how to tell a story.

Tears of joy, some laughter, many tears of loss

Beware: stock tissues.

This was a beautifully written magical epic saga, with many plots and subplots woven together. The people were beautifully written, believable and even the villains were not totally evil. I loved the stories and sobbed, sad and happy tears on and off, through the books and to the happy ending.

My biggest sadness is that the story was ended.
Thank you for letting me into your world!

GREAT SERIES!

I'm not a YA in fact I'm an OA and I stumbled upon this series and thought it sounded really interesting. I'm so very glad I did! I can't do this series justice with words but I highly recommend to everyone of every age who loves a great series which, thankfully, doesn't spend pages, or chapters, on just sexual descriptions! Its has amazing storylines, intermingled, that all come together amazingly!

A beautiful ending to this series! It has everything. Love realised, mysteries solved, families reunited, epic battles... it was breathtaking! Jess finally gets the information she's waiting for, and the answer is a twist I didn't see coming. Laec has to say goodbye to Cifta, but a blast from his past steps in to help save the kingdom of Soldana. So much happens in this epic finale. A MUST read!

Great story!!!

I love this book and I love Ms. Knorr's writing style!! Her story flows easily and keeps you entertained. I never felt like there was a lull in the story or a lot of unnecessary filler. She is a very gifted and creative author. You won't be sorry to buy this book.

A Prince of Autumn: An Epic Fae Fantasy (The Scented Court Book 4), my thirty-eighth read from author A.L. Knorr. Extremely well written, the characters, well-developed. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters, who and what they are, why they do the things they do. The things that make the reader get invested into the characters and thereby the story. I’ll be reading more from this author and look forward to A Star of Darkness: A Scented Court Standalone (The Scented Court Book 5). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Epic ending!

Each book in this series is exceptional. Even when all seems hopeless, the heroes never give up. love holds everyone and a kingdom together. Bitter sweet at the end. Almost a clean read, but has suggestive language, which was a shame. Totally not needed and did not enhance the story.

Enchanting

I loved this series, the characters were relatable. It keet me spellbound, reading book after book. I was drawn into the life they lived and the trouble they faced. It's easy to care where the characters are your friends. I loved her series on mermaids for the same reasons.

Amazing conclusion to the Scented Court storyline with regards to the evil Prince. Loose ends tied up, and the dancers/perfume makers get to show they are more than just pretty flowers. Loved how the Lion's factored in so prominently.
Nice to see a connection, too, in the 'Wise' to the authors' other books.
All in all 5/5. Fabulous.

Just as it Should Be

The conclusion of this series was more than expected and just what was needed. Jessamine and Digit play imports roles in their actions and to each other. There are surprises, both happy and sad. The Calyx prove their worth and justice triumphs. There's so much more to be said, but no spoilers here just look for the lions.

a fitting end to a fine series

These charming novels are full of delightful characters and creative world building. They never fail to entertain. The fact they are suitable for young teens is a bonus in a world of horror and poorly disguised vampire porn.
