A pretty fine read. The mix of facts and fiction comes off natural.
Though a bit chaotic at the beginning, the many characters entwine in a surprising way throughout the book. I loved the journey across the cities of Egypt and the cultural background of that time.

An unexpected plot ending left me quite surprised and made me reconsider the whole book.
It's that sort of book where you have a say in how it ends and in this particular one it works great!

Definitely going to read his other books as well.

Un libro que hay veces que resulta muy entretenido pero al mismo tiempo me resulto bastante pesado, sobre todo el comienzo que cuesta mucho arrancar, claro siempre es todo un gusto retratar con una gran mitología como es Egipto.

Novela entretenida y muy bien escrita, con la guerra fría de fondo y situada en uno de los lugares más mágicos del mundo: Egipto. Al principio, he de confesar que se me hizo un poco pesada su lectura, pero después me enganchó y no paré de leer hasta el final, ciertamente sorprendente.
Buena recomendación para pasar el rato.

Странный стиль у автора или это перевод не очень удачный (по немецки не понимаю, а на английский не перевели), или так и задуманно. Плюсы этого произведения-это исторический бэкграунд строительства Асуанской плотины и переноса храма Абу-Симбел, и концовка не подкачала. А в литературном изложении роман показался мне слабым, за что и три звезды только

Me pareció muy aburrido, no engancha y con un nivel de fantasía mal logrado. No lo recomiendo, es pesado de leer. Aunque si les gusta la historia sobre la guerra y un poco de arqueologia les puede interesar.

A nice plot but in some parts to constructed and the end was strange. In a way it seams to fit but I found it too strange. Not a Vandenberg as I know and like.

Nette Geschichte aber in einigen Teilen zu konstruiert und das Ende war sehr seltsam. In einer Weise scheint es zu passen aber ich fand es zu eigenartig. Kein Vandenberg wie ich ihn kenne und schätze.

Het thema is heel leuk, de uitvoering vind ik iets minder. Het had wat spannender geschreven mogen worden. Het plot is een beetje voorspelbaar.
Toch heb ik het boek uitgelezen en heb daar geen spijt van. Hij krijgt van mij een magere 7.

Magnífico libro para jóvenes. Aventuras e historias para cogerle el gusto a la literatura. A mi no me sucedió, pero la idea estaba bien.
