The Virgin Rule Book is the first book in the Rules of Love series by Lauren Blakely. I love her sport romances so I was excited when she announced she was giving us a baseball series. And this was the perfect book to start it off...batter up.

Crosby has been unlucky in love despite the drawers full of lucky socks. He sure knows how to pick ‘em. The socks not the women so he puts himself in time-out through spring training. Seven weeks. No women. No dating. No kisses. No calling exes. His boys are his sponsors. The problem? His best friend’s wedding. He needs a plus-one to keep him in line. He knows just the woman, the groom’s sister who happens to also be his friend. Nadia Harlowe. A badass in the CEO chair and in life and friendship. She is the one to keep him on the wagon. That is until they get on the dance floor. Accidentals turn into deliberate touches...

Nadia is the owner of a football team. Someone who speaks up for what she wants and what she needs. And what she needs now is a few plus-ones so why not agree to go to a few events with the All-Star? Not like anything could happen. He is in time-out and she is on a dating hiatus. Rules. After an accidental kiss there needed to be rules. One week of plus-oneing. One week of fun banter, flirty talks, and oh yeah, telling him I want him to take my V-card.

I absolutely loved Crosby and Nadia. Two twentysomethings unlucky in the love department who just might be perfect for each other. Crosby is a sweetheart with a naughty side. Nadia is a badass with a surprisingly dirty side. I love that they both say what they want when they want it even if they are conflicted. Their friendship is awesome. Their banter is goals. Their story is full of laughter, sexy times, and so much more. I can’t forget about the supporting characters. Love them. I do have a favorite and I bet my blog partner and Lauren know just who he is. Lol. I can’t wait for the next book, and the one after that, and the ones after that.

The Virgin Game Plan is the second novel in the First to Score series by the talented, Lauren Blakely. I was so excited when she announced she was writing a series with not only virgins but baseball!! I grew up loving the game. It’s the sport my family both played and loved to watch. And living in the Bay Area we had two teams. The A’s and the Giants so it’s fun that this series has two SF teams who are rivals. Ok, moving on...

Holden was only a player on the field. He needed to have a connection with a woman before he took her to bed. He also didn’t need distractions. His life was baseball. So when he met a woman who gave good flirty banter and knew her baseball, he was a goner. They spent one unforgettable afternoon and evening together. It ended too soon. Their plans axed a week later. It was over. Or so they thought...

Two years. It was almost two years since that day. Two years since they were in the same town, let alone room. It was fate that brought them back together. Then, a wrench is throw. Reese was Holden’s new manager’s daughter. He was new to the team. She was new to her publicist job. Risks all-around, folks. Off-limits. She was the forbidden fruit. Will they take the risk?

I ♥️ Holden. He is seriously swoony. Sweet. Funny. Smart. Determined. Reese is a badass with her love of baseball, coffee and retro clothes. I want to hang out with her. With them. They are fun, beautiful, and so lovable. I also love their friends!! I can’t wait for them to fall.

THE VIRGIN REPLAY

The Virgin Replay is the third book in the Rules of Love series by the ever-talented, Lauren Blakely. I am loving this series full of ballplayers and badass babes. You can read each one as standalone but I recommend reading the series since it’s fantastic! And Grant and Declan’s story (Men of Summer series) is also connected. If you have read any other books then you have met Sierra (Grant’s sister) and Chance (Grant’s teammate). I have been waiting for this story and it’s so worth the wait x10.

The bro code. You know, aka the guy code. Don’t touch a friend’s or teammate’s sister, daughter, mom. Hell, even cousin. You don’t want to mess with friendships or chemistry on the field.

Chance never had an issue with this code. He was married to his college love for ten years so he was never tempted to break the code. Any code. But over the last year after a very public divorce, he has been thinking about it. Sierra Blackwood was a temptation. A beautiful, smart, baseball-loving bar owner who make him weak in the knees. The problem? She was his long-time friend and teammate’s little sister. That didn’t mean he couldn’t ask her to be his fake date to a wedding they are both attending anyway, right? That’s not breaking any rules, right? Not like anything is going to happen.

Sierra was married to her bar. It was her baby. She worked hard to get where she was today. She didn’t need a man to keep her happy but that didn’t mean she didn’t have secret crushes or wicked desires. With him. So, when he asked her to be his fake date for a Hawaiian wedding? She couldn’t say no. And she hoped he wouldn’t say no to her question. She knew he was the one she had been waiting for but would he bend the rules for one night? It’s not like they would be a thing. It would be a fling. That’s all. No-strings attached. It’s a win-win really. But, what will happen when they have to go back to reality?

So delicious!! Sexy, passionate, sweet, and filthy. I just love these two. Sierra knows exactly what she wants and Chance is a fabulous listener. I loved their friendship over the series. It was build-up to this. Everything. They are fun, hot, spontaneous, and beautiful. They just did it for me. I can’t wait for the next book!! 🍒
