Coda's story. Before they fell head-over-heels, the Valentino brothers ruled Chicago with iron wills and closed fists. Now, the men in their inner circle are taking the reins and taking the plunge into their own deliciously wicked happily-ever-afters. The streets of Chicago will run red as these bad boys set out to tame the curvy women fate has in store for them. And they'll take no prisoners along the way.
Four-time award-winning author Nichole Rose writes deliciously dirty rom-coms, sports, and small-town romance, featuring relatable curvy women and the devoted alpha men who can't live without them. From obsessed billionaires to over-the-top hockey players to the firefighter next door, no one is safe from the hilarious, sassy women she sets loose on the world. She loves delivering relatable characters, hilarious banter, and enough heat to make you squirm.
Nichole also writes dark romance as Nichole Fallon.
When not writing, Nichole enjoys fine wine, cute shoes, and everything supernatural. She is happily married to the love of her life and is a proud ringleader in the world’s most ridiculous chihuahua circus. She and her husband live in central Arkansas.
Coda (34) went to a party thrown by Karina's (21) father. He was there to exact his revenge on him for killing his parents. But he saw her, and he changed his plans by dragging her to his hotel room. They did get frisky, but not all the way, and after that, he sent her home. Three days passed, and he resorted to stalking her. He thought he wasn't good enough for her because of all the things he did for his organization.
And Karina overheard her father talk about a gun trade that's about to happen, and this is where she found out what kind of corrupt officer he is. So she called Coda to pick her up and asked him if she could stay with him.
She spent her time with him, and they got to know each other. Then days passed, and Karina found out about Coda's initial plan to use her against her father. She felt betrayed by this info so she ran away but got kidnapped by the cartel for whom her father was working. Anyway, Coda immediately tracked her and vowed to burn down the city if they hurt her. She was saved successfully, and she forgave him for hurting her feelings.
Overall, this was okay for passing some time. It was still entertaining, and I love the camaraderie between Coda and his brothers.

This one was pretty light for darkness for me. Coda has a revenge plan against Karina father since he murder his parents. Coda doesn't know what his plans are until he meets Karina when she openly flirts with him at a party. It's cute they go zero to 100!! Pretty fast and leave the party they do some dirty dirty deeds, and he walks away. He plans not to go after her, but things change when she calls him.
Now she's his, and he'll do everything to protect her even from her father. It's cute insta love they do have a bump in the road which last maybe a day? When she finds out his real reason, he wants her well, she thinks.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, tiny drama, sexy times, both virgins

3.2 stars. Liked it, wasn’t my favorite of the series though. It somehow felt shorter than it was. I also think something (I have no idea What, but ✨something✨) was missing from their relationship.🤷🏻♀️ Still good, though.
Oh Coda. Coda really stole my heart❤️ Coda saw his parents dying when he was 9 years old. He vowed to take revenge and now 25 years later he finally gets it, but his whole life changes when he meets his enemy's daughter Karina. He won't take his life he will just take his daughter. Coda saw Karina and instantly knew she was his One. These two fell head over heels for each other. Coda tries to stay away , but love always wins. But her fathers enemies threaten Karina and their HEA, and Coda won't stand for that. Instalove, age gap, steamy, sweet, romantic and totally safe (I freaking loved that it was dual virgins-fated to be their one and only 😍😍) with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for Mattias story ❤️
3.5 Safe No cheating No OW/OM No gross condom use Sporadic separation Dual virgins (tiny happy dance) (he lets her know when they have their first encounter that 'they have more in common, yes meaning he is a virgin too and then again when he first has full on sex with her he tells her so no room for ambiguity) Quote, "Coda," I whisper, remembering what he said in the hotel the other night. "Is this…have you never…?" How do you ask the devil if he's a virgin? I have no freaking clue. "Never," he murmurs, the truth reflecting in his eyes. "There's only ever been you, cara." His confession sets my soul on fire. It spreads through every fiber of my being, blazing like the sun. This beautiful, complicated man." h, Karina, 21, worthy, sweet heroine that is too nice H Coda, 34, gentle giant, woe is me, bent on revenge dolt HEA I don't know what happened but this missed the mark. It's a Nichole Rose book so I expected a swoon worthy hero, gentle giant, but he fucked everything up. So here is what happens. His parents were killed when he was 9 and 25 years later (don't why he waited that long). He is at a party where all the cops are there and he sticks out. A beautiful, blond in a red dress bumps into his almost 7 foot frame and he thinks she is hot. He asks her to dance, they dance and she tells him that she feels left out because her dad (the cop that killed Coda's parents ignores her). He tells her to kiss him, to show him she is a rebel. They do and she suggests to go to his place. He, in his mind was thinking of using her to get back at the cop, take something from me, I'll take something from you, and I hated that, but there was another part in this scene where he is adamant that their encounter has nothing to do with revenge, it is only him and her and nothing else. In his inner monologue and in his dance with Karina, he seemed to be a worthy hero. On his way to his place his inner monologue says that this between them has nothing to do with his revenge on the dad, and I believed it, I was swayed to the Coda that is falling in love with his one and only, and I felt that way until I didn't. He says this when they leave the party to go to his place, Quote, "But I don't give a fuck about them. All that matters right now is Karina. She wants to play, and I'm going to let her. It's a dangerous game, but I won't allow her to be hurt. My issue is with her father, not her. As she slips out of the doors with me, I glance back at the man in question. The prick is still too wrapped up in his own bullshit to even notice that his world just started to crumble." See what I mean? One side of him, is falling in love with Karina and I want to be attached to that side of him so badly, the Nichole Rose hero that strips all his badness for the heroine the moment he lays eyes on her, and we do get that, but we also get the Coda that is looking at Karina's dad thinking that now his world is going to crumble. So which Coda was taking her back to his place? The one thinking of using her? Or the one wanting to claim his one and only because he is falling in love. The fact that he ghosted her after licking her pussy and she was the one who called first made me angry thinking the worst of him. Here is my issue with Coda. Part of me loves him, and part of me is disappointed him. All the tropes NR cleverly takes out to give us something fresh and new was put back in. After Coda takes her to his penthouse, he gives her oral, (he does find out she is a virgin and says that they have more in common than she thinks),he dresses her, makes sure they have each others numbers, ok good....until he calls a cab, whispers "Soon Cara"..sends her home and ghosts her for 3 days! THAT soured the rest of the book for me. THAT is when I went from warming up to him to being downright angry!! He did stalk her and stood in front of her house, followed her, but even for a virgin hero, he knows that after that intimate moment, ghosting her is the worst thing! He says that she deserves better. I HATE that she_deserves_better trope!I hate that he sent her away right after and ghosted her! It made their first sexual encounter feel cheap. Quote, "I've avoided her for the last three days, trying desperately to do the right thing. At least, that's what I tell myself when I'm standing across from her house, watching her. When I'm following her around town, stalking her. When I'm everywhere she is, unseen. She deserves better…and yet, I can't seem to stay away." Licking her cunt, getting her out of your house and not calling her is NOT doing the right thing! He could have gone to her! This is not the alpha, 'she is all mine', 'I will burn the world for her' her! I agree with him after he did that, she does deserve better than him. She calls him, afraid and he hurries to her, and sees her in shambles, Quote, "I'm a goddamn monster, falling in love with a lamb. And somehow, in those three days, she's become worse off than she was when I was at her side. That's on Alessepo. And it's on me. Never again. I won't ever allow her to cry like this again." Newsflash, he does make her cry. After they are at the safe house, she says that she didn't know if he would ever want to hear from her, to which he says this, Quote, I tip her head back, examining her face. "Is that what you think?" "It's true, isn't it?" "No, it isn't"...........I want to protect her, yes, but more than that—I want her. Against reason, against the rules, I want her. "I've tried like hell to stay away. I should stay away. But you're all I've thought about since I watched the cab drive away, Karina." My thumb traces her full bottom lip. "I regretted letting you go. I regretted not finishing what we started." What did you think she was going to think when you sent her on her way and ghosted her??? SHE called YOU for help, when were YOU going to call her or go to HER? And he is confused as to why she didn't feel wanted?? Things get a bit better and I warmed up to him eventually, but he still left me feeling angry at him for ghosting her. I love our heroine, she is all in, her wanting to be with Coda was for life, and that was when she first meets him. I felt so bad for her questioning Coda's love for her, and she had every reason to! She gets into a car accident after a fight with her father, and we get the alpha 'will burn down the world for his woman' Coda as he looks out for her while she is healing. He is all in from that moment, but I wish I felt that from him when he first laid eyes on her. She wants to have sex but he refuses pushing her away for over a week. She is beginning to think that he doesn't want her, so she is heartbroken, he remedies his fuck up and they have sex. He doesn't want to hurt her physically, because she is healing from the car accident, but pushing her away is hurting her. He doesn't see that, the very observant mafiosi with a keen eye for everything and everyone BUT how "the love of his life" feels. It makes me think that part of him is not attentive towards her even though I know he loves her. We are several weeks in and he calls to tell her he has important business and will be home late, again, and she is frustrated because she wants him with her and he is absent too much. He was dealing with this whole mess of a shipment of guns, and her father was involved, but he leaves her alone while he is busy busy busy. He goes to her dad in the middle of the night and says he won't kill him and the only reason is to protect her and not hurt her. That's nice but that is when he says his plan for revenge ended, which means that he still was not fully committed to her as we were lead to believe. This duality in him went on for a bit too long, I relished the Coda that fought for Karina, but I hated the Coda that is self deprecating hell bent on revenge, even though he has Karina with him giving him all the love and healing he should need. It feels at times that it wasn't enough. The dad goes to her on campus to tell her to ask Coda about his parents. She does this emotional exchange. She fearlessly without doubt for her man defends Coda. She is trusting of him so when her heart is broken when all is revealed and for good reason. All he had to do was open up to her. She asks what changed for him not to kill her father to which he responds, 'You". Quote, "I wasn't using you, Karina. I swear it on everything I am. But can I say that your connection didn't play a role in the beginning? No, I can't. When I met you at the party, I was there to kill him." "What changed your mind, Coda?" "You," he whispers. When he says 'you', it means two things. One, he means she changed him when he met her and fell in love with her, BUT also her being there changed his plan for revenge by using her! Yes it was at the very beginning, but it was still there. If his plan of revenge *poof* disappeared the moment he sees her and when he said that she changed his mind because he met the soul purpose of his existence, loving her and all his actions from the first time they meet was only unquestionable love for her, then I would see this being a misunderstanding. But it wasn't a misunderstanding. I want to believe that thinking of using her for revenge was not even a thought. I want to love Coda more than I do, I want to feel for him, but I don't believe him. I would have believed him, loved him and felt broken for him if he didn't think of using her at the start, ghosting her after their first sexual encounter, letting her go right after it. That part I can't let go of. Had he not done that and kept her glued to his side from the moment she was in his arms dancing, my whole view on Coda would have been different and I would have loved him to pieces. There is plenty of the NR hero in this, the passion he feels, and the love he has, there are scenes when they are together that is sweet and touching, and I loved that, but my sour mood made these scenes seem off to me. It made me think, well I would be more immersed in the swoon worthiness of Coda, if he hadn't fucked up in the beginning. It really was that one scene, sending her home and ghosting her that made me not be immersed in the rest. I am being harsh on Coda, I know and I do believe he loves her and there were so many sweet moments between them, so many alpha 'roar' Coda on a mission to protect his woman, but he did things the wrong way and the main thing for me was how their first sexual encounter went, again, I cannot get past it. It soured everything for me. The Nichole Rose hero doesn't let go easily, he sees her, grabs her, kisses her, sticks to her like glue and is attentive to her needs without her having to spell it out or him and TOGETHER they deal with drama, instead the drama was between them and it soured their relationship for me. I won't even start with the dad and his redemption arc. That part pissed me off. Mattia is next and the final hero, and I hope he is more like Domani. Domani is the only one I fell for in the series, he really is the only one that is a true NR swoon worthy hero. I want to love Coda, but their first sexual encounter, and the revenge plot getting in the way, left me feeling resentment and I could not shake it off. I changed my mind, I might revisit the book and read again to see if my feelings change and if I was too harsh on Coda. I want to love him so badly.
OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was longer than I am use to reading but I really enjoyed this one!!

Oh my soul. Coda and Karina were both amazing. They're both holding onto a lot of pain. Together they heal. Together they love. Together they build. I absolutely loved Coda. He has been with the mafia for a long time. So long be feels like his soul is black and nothing about him is redeemable. He is hellbent on revenge. Revenge against the man who killed the only people he loved when he was a kid. Karina's father. Karina enters the situation and everything changes for Coda. She awakens a part of him that was dead a long time ago. He's feeling things he has been felt. And wanting things he never thought he'd have or want to have at all. He was obsessed with Karina. He was also super protective. And Karina? She was such a sweet person. She was caring and loving. Despite her upbringing and the hurt she has felt over the years she still exudes sweetness and innocence. Not only does she awaken things in Coda, he awakens her as well. For the first time she truly feels happy. She has a peace in her soul that she has never had. Then things hit a bump and our duo is bruised, heart and all. And we are bruised along with them. But thankfully, Nichole stitches them and her readers back up. We are left with a couple more in love than ever and we get to see their beautiful HEA. Totally worth it.

Coda Passero was nine when Miles Alessepo killed his parents. He watched it happen while hiding in a closet. Alessepo is a cop and 25 years later, he is now the Superintendent of Police. At 15 years old, Coda tried stealing from Mr. Valentine and became a hit man for La Cosa Nostra. He has sworn his allegiance to Rafe Valentine who took over from his father as head of the family.
Karina Alessepo is Miles’ daughter. She bumps into Coda at the police gala and they dance. She’s 21 and wants to rebel against her father. She asks Coda to take her home. He brings her to his hotel room on the 30th floor. Everyone fears her father, so she has never even been kissed before Coda. Coda tells her to get naked and she obeys him. Coda starts touching and feeling Karina while she is pressed against the hotel window. He realizes that she is a virgin so all he does is bring her to orgasm with his fingers and tongue. He then dresses her and puts her in a cab after making sure she has his phone number. Karina is excited to find out what will happen next between them.
I loved that both Karina and Coda grow in the relationship. She realizes that there is a gray area between good and evil and he realizes that he can let some light into his dark life and still be true to the family. Another great story in the series.
For the love of all that is good and, well spicy!! Irredeemable is the latest instalment of the Illicit Love Series by one of absolute favourite authors, Nichole Rose. Connections are an absolute must for Nichole Rose and it makes her books even better. Coda is out for vengeance, vengeance for his parents, vengeance on the life that was ripped away from him and for the life he lives now. Coda will take his vengeance out on the person who wears a badge, and is supposed to protect and serve, but who is not a man of honour. That is until he sees Katrina. Katrina, always under her father’s thumb, the Superintendent of the Chicago PD, the man she always thought would protect and keep her from harm, until things changed. Katrina needed to get away, she needed to escape, and Coda could do that. Coda was to take his vengeance, but he took Katrina instead. Irredeemable is a mafia romance with off the charts spice and heart-shattering characters. I could not stop reading, I could not put this book down, from start to finish, it was utter perfection!!! I actually felt my heart breaking, I wanted to scream. Irredeemable proves that everyone is redeemable.
Emotions, so many emotions reading this book!! It’s a rollercoaster that ends in the sweetest HEA, but it comes with a small amount of angst first. Coda is on the path of vengeance, determined to make the now Superintendent of Police pay, but he wasn’t expecting Karina. They say love heals all wounds and makes a better man, and boy were they right here. Coda is the epitome of a man who’d burn the world for his woman, even if that meant letting go of the need for revenge. There’s love, so much love, but there is a small amount of heartbreak and betrayal in the form of a misunderstanding. But when I tell you he makes it all better…Coda knows what he has and he’s not loosing it!! True to Nichole Rose style there’s no OM/OW drama or cheating, dual virgins, HEA and an epilogue 5 years in the future. I can’t wait to read Mattia’s story, these mafia men know how to love and protect with their whole beings!
Coda and Karina are complete opposites but together somehow they make sense. Coda is part of the mafia. He unalives people for them. Coda has a personal vendetta against Miles, the man that killed his parent, the superintendent of the Chicago police force. Miles has a daughter, Karina. Karina is merely a figurehead for her father, presented as the perfect daughter. When she meets Coda at a party, she is taken by him. He is taken with her as well. Coda soon realizes that Karina is too good and innocent for him but he can’t stop himself from wanting her. Coda has several secrets but is afraid to tell Karina. She knows that Coda has secrets but knows enough not to ask. That is where their troubles begin. They love each other and have several steamy moments but Coda’s secrets are their undoing. I loved this book. There were some twists that kept me on my feet. The author does a fabulous job of bringing them together. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
I give credit to Nichole she's written this while feeling unwell and delivered a top story. Coda has been hell bent on revenge since he was 9 years old, a simple plan of murdering the man who took everything from him. A plan 25 years in the making, that changes in one night because of her Karina. She's beautiful, pure, loveable, sweet and young. Coda is tainted by darkness, giant and intimidating (except towards Karina), alpha male, unlovable. They're perfect for each other, they both have scars from their past intentionally inflicted on them by the same man (but different reasons). They're each others perfect match, because together they can move on and heal.
If you enjoy dual pov, steamy scenes, pure love, loveable characters, no cheating, mild angst, light mafia drama, double virgin, instalove, instaromance, HEAs then Nichole has the book for you.
I absolutely loved this story sooooo much!!! Coda and Karina are the truest soulmates🩷 My heart broke for both and all they had been through growing up 💔 The devotion they instantly have for each other is so touching I swooned so hard! Throughout the whole book I truly felt all the emotions these characters were feeling and going though & it just broke my heart sometimes💔😭 Now the smexy times between them were so panty melting DELICIOUS & HOT & STEAMY 🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥 Coda is so special and has such a special bond with Karina it’s absolutely heartwarming 🩷 The twists had me on the edge of my seat!!! Once I started this I couldn’t put it down!!! It was PHENOMENAL and I am so obsessed with this series! Highly highly recommend this wonderful book!!
Irredeemable is book three in The Illicit Love Series by Nichole Rose.
My emotions were all over the place with this one. It's a rollercoaster ride with a small amount of angst but once the ride is over it's the sweetest HEA.
What they both went through when they were younger broke my heart. The chemistry between the two MCs was instant and scorching. Coda is on a path of vengeance wanting to make everyone who has done him wrong pay - but he was not expecting to find Karina in all of that.
In true NR style, there is no OM/OW drama. There is DUAL VIRGINS and a guaranteed HEA.
I'm excited about Mattia's story.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my HONEST review.
"I never said I was a good man. I just said I was the one who needed her to survive." -Coda
"I'm done talking. I'm done begging. I'm done asking him to want me enough when he clearly doesn't."- Karina
This is the next book of the Illicit Love Series and is about Coda and Karina. This book was so good and even though Coda was a "bad guy" he made me love him just a little. he has been through h*ll and back during his life and never cared about anyone except his mafia family. He decides to get revenge on someone from the past but when he meets Karina, he meets his future. Can he let go of the past to live in the present and dream about the future or will his determination to seek revenge cost him everything? 5⭐ 3.5 🌶
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was an amazing mafia romance. It was a short, well written story with a fantastic flow. It was the third book in the Illicit Love series and though the story could be read as a standalone, I would definitely recommend reading in order because the series is so great. This book finally brought Coda’s story and I absolutely adored it. His chemistry with Karina was fantastic and though the story had a bit of angst it was so satisfying. It was probably my favorite book by Nichole Rose.
I love how Nichole Rose writes these mafia men that are hardened from the life they live, but they just melt when they meet their soulmate. Coda and Karina where so insta love for each other, and I did enjoy the steamy scenes they had, but I wanted a little more from their characters. This mafia world is so big at this point that it was easy to slip into this story, and I just wanted to see some of the other family members to add more plot to their love story. Irredeemable was a fast and pretty enjoyable read if you want something quick with a little bit of darkness with your romance.
I was looking forward to this story so much! I've loved Coda since his first appearance and couldn't wait for him to get his HEA like everyone else. I was not disappointed, not that I ever am by this author. Coda is just... gah! No words. Karina was his perfect match in every way. Their story was sweet and sexy, with a little drama that just made their union that much better. If you've followed the Valentino family from the beginning, you do NOT want to miss this story!
I love this series. I know based off the covers you expect these dark romance but honestly I feel each of these heroes are actually amazing men. The heroines are strong women, even if some are young. Coda is no exception. He has been through so much, even more that is hinted at in the story. He is out for revenge. Karina believes Coda is her hero come to rescue her and that he can do no wrong. She learns that not all love is perfect and not all heroes are white knights. Great read.
This just might be my favorite from this series. Coda and Karina’s story took my emotions on a roller coaster ride. What started out as Coda seeking revenge turned into something he didn’t expect or see coming. Having to navigate what’s now more important, Coda and Karina face it all. Their story was intense, and emotional but I really enjoyed it.
Coda and Karina were just instantly hot 🔥🔥 upon their first encounter. She was the perfect person for him even with the discrepancy with her father. This was so good what I assumed was going to happen towards the end. It went in a totally different direction but it ended on a good note.
Mafia enforcer, Coda, is determined to get revenge on the man who killed his parents. He attends his party intent on killing but meets his enemies daughter, Karina, and his plans change. Amazing, emotional rollercoaster that kept me glued to the pages!! Off the charts chemistry, danger, suspense, romance, a loving, protective hero, a sassy heroine and a wonderful HEA
Irredeemable is Coda and Karina's curvy girl, age gap, dark mafia HEA. Coda claims Karina as his own.No one will take her from him. Destroying the dirty cop who murdered his parents is his life's goal until her..
Yum! loved this book. I really enjoy a good steamy, dark read.
Wow wow and more wow! It’s always hard to choose a favorite book of Nichole Rose because they are all so good but this one just may be my new favorite! Coda and Karina were just everything. So darn beautiful and wonderful together. I didn’t want this book to end!
Every book in this series is too good. Coda is a lethal man, who has long been waiting for his revenge, but just when to achieve it appears in his life Karina, and that’s when he decides if he wants happiness for the rest of his life. This story has a good happy ending.
Coda and Karina, a fast moving storyline, full of insta everything. He I battling the need to seek revenge on his parents killer who just happens to be a crooked cop AND Karina’s dad. Overall, kept me reading
Koda never expects to find redemption in the arms of his greatest enemy's daughter, the man who killed his parents but from the moment he meets Karina he knows she is meant to be the angel to his devil in this deliciously engaging tale.
She is such a good storyteller. There is always an alpha hero who falls first and will do anything for his lady. You have to love these over the top possessive men.
