Space battles and betrayals

Caleb definitely had his work cut out for him in this book. Still looking for a princess, he finally makes some headway in his search, only to finally uncover the true identity of the traitor. It couldn't come at a worse time for him, but he makes the best of what he's dealt. There was a spot fairly early in the book where Caleb acts completely out of character, so I'm not sure what was going on with that. He also finally discovers where Pathfinder has been hiding, but it's glanced over pretty quickly, so I'm hoping there will be about it later on

I thought this was the end of a series of 3 books but it too ends in a cliffhanger! Here's hoping for a conclusion to this great series ! No fourth book in progress or prebuy that I could find.

These stories of other worlds in other times is fascinating and I really enjoy them. The time between each book drags as I imagine wha5 could be happening to them all. Soon it will be complete and then I will need to find another author or story to read.

The characters were developed in an interesting manner. Wormholes are an unknown phenomenon but the author’s speculation is intriguing. Leaves one curious about the next chapter.

I do love me a good space battle - and this story delivers. The whole takeover of various ships and building a fleet is really entertaining. Navigating the whole "who's got a slug and who doesn't" situation gets more and more interesting. Just when you think that can't be navigated, it can. And superguy Caleb is like the Energizer Bunny, just keeps going. That last scene with the window and Cookie was fantastic.

And Paul Heitsch continues to be great on the audio.
