Do you believe in Kismet? Or Karma? Divine intervention? 7th houses and Aquarius? Murphy’s Law? Stepping on cracks? Black cats? Eh, it doesn’t matter. I do. (In all of it—just not all at the same time)

So yesterday, I opened up Jonny’s Redemption to start my read. But before I could start an alert popped up on my iPad for Pinterest. So I popped over, for just a sec to see what was up. Now mind you, I was only planning to see what had popped up on my alert. But it’s Pinterest and I became Alice and down the rabbit hole, I went. Anyway, my friend’s birthday is coming up and she asked for an apple pie. She’s not really a cake lover but pies...she’s a connoisseur. So I’m always looking for something different or unique. Enter Kismet (or karma or whatever) and what do I see on my home feed? An Upside-down Apple Pie. Yep. You read that right. Upside-down. Game changer. I pinned that beauty and switched over to Jonny’s Redemption.

Now let me explain the whole side trip that just happened. Everyone is familiar with Apple Pie. I’m pretty sure it’s an American staple. Especially during certain holidays. It’s everything good about dessert: pure sweetness. It can trigger your “home” and “hearth” feels. Apple pie has the ability to pull you into the past - family BBQs, trips to the beach, reunions. Those memories are HOME. Jonny’s Redemption is apple pie. But not just plain ol’ regular apple pie. Nope! It’s that game-changing Upside-down Apple Pie. It’s got all that good sweetness that is a Riley Edwards book. Bobby is the tart apple filling of the pie. She’s sweet with a bit of bite. She’s honest, loyal, and direct. She’s home and heart. Now if Bobby is the apple, then Jonny is the upside-down part. He’s the ooey-gooey-buttery-cinnamony-brown sugary-pecan topping oozing down the sides. He’s delicious. He’s sinful. He’s why you lick the plate. Seriously, the sauce (I mean, Jonny) will make you praise the 7th house and sing songs to Aquarius. Karma and Murphy’s Law came together and brought you a Riley Edwards story filled with such goodness you’ll know you’re home.

Jonny’s Redemption isn’t super angsty or dark. So, if you’re worried about that, brush those crumbs aside. Jonny is and always has been a protector, friend, and in his own book, a trustworthy lover and partner. And Bobby is everything we aspire to be: sweetness, reliably scrumptious, and generous (almost to a fault). She’s something you want to hold onto. And protect.

This book is like coming home. Which is fitting as it’s the 7th in the Gemini Group series. It’s the end. Like a dessert after a 6 book-course meal. Just like an apple pie. An Upside-down Apple Pie.

A Gritty Cop, a Hidden Past, and the Familiar Burn of Trauma

Riley Edwards delivers another solid installment in the Gemini Group series, blending military-grade suspense with steamy romance and emotional grit. This time, we follow Jonny—the town’s former cop who once cleaned house by purging a corrupt department, only to find himself adrift after walking away from the badge. His lifeline? A stake in the Gemini Group, offering purpose where there was once only stagnation.

Enter Bobby: personal assistant and fiercely loyal best friend to country music star Vivi. Bobby’s had quiet feelings for Jonny since the moment they arrived in town, but beneath her polished exterior lies a past steeped in Appalachian outlaw lore—moonshiners, thieves, and a stint behind bars after taking the fall for her brother. Her history is a secret she guards fiercely, and it adds a compelling layer to her character.

As with previous books in the series, Edwards leans heavily into the theme of fractured childhoods and emotional scars. While this throughline adds depth, it’s starting to feel a bit overplayed—especially if you’re binge-reading the series like I did. A little breathing room between books might’ve helped the emotional beats land with more impact.

Narration, however, remains a standout. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden return with their signature chemistry—Joe’s gravelly, magnetic delivery pairs beautifully with Erin’s soft, emotionally attuned voice. They breathe life into the dual POV format, elevating the story beyond the page.

Overall, while the emotional formula is beginning to show its seams, Jonny and Bobby’s story still delivers enough tension, heat, and heart to keep me invested. Just maybe next time, I’ll pace myself.

This one really went deep pretty fast and made sense. Jonny and Bobby have been dancing around each other for a while, so they knew each other. Them sharing painful parts of their past was part of them cementing themselves as a couple. From there on out they were 100% in each other's corner. Things happened and the other would be there for them. I also loved how everyone in the gang chimed in, but most especially Macy and Evie and their hear felt words to Jonny and Bobby about the other, it was something that they needed to hear, to see how important they were to the other.

It was nice seeing Evie's last hurrah as a singer and how everyone else could witness it too. I could have done without the drama of Jonny's mother, only because she was horrible and Jonny deserved better. The same with the danger that came at everyone at the end, wish they didn't have to go through that, but they were on things quickly and took care of business.

I loved the ending, loved that we got to see everyone living their lives in the future, still happy and the gang all still hanging around.

This was one way to end a series. It tied together this amazing group of "brothers" and their journeys toward love. The rides were bumpy but the love made it all worth it.

I'm ever so glad that when I went on the search for a new author that wrote like my favorite author, Kristen Ashley, that I discovered this author. I spent years rereading every book that KA had written because no one truly came close... Until this author.

I'm sad to see these characters go but I am so glad that I had the chance to get to know Johnny, Bobby, and the rest of this group. They are all so very special.

Jonny’s Redemption is the final book in the Gemini Group series and it is bittersweet as always when characters we love and their stories come to an end😢

Bobby and Jonny are just PERFECT for each other and more similar than either realised because of the way they grew up and their experiences❣️I hope Riley has a Rock n Roll series of sorts as a spin off in the works, so we can find out more about Penny and the man she ended up with😍

Sweet, sweet Jonny...
So we’ve had glimpses of Jonny in every Gemini book and even more so after Bobby moved to town, you just knew when those two finally gave in to each other it was going to be epic and it was and then it became so much more...
This was a special story and a wonderful way to finish up a heart warming series.

This is very much a relationship novel, with a minor suspense subplot.

Epilogues finish everyone’s stories, sometimes many years into the future.

Jonny and Bobby

This was the perfect end to this series. It really brought the series full circle. Jonny had been working with Gemini Group since it’s inception but he finally joined the crew in this last installment. After the trauma he experienced in Alec’s Dream I didn’t think his backstory could get more heartbreaking, but I was wrong. But that’s what made Bobby perfect for him. They both needed to forgive themselves and move on from their pasts and the only way they could do that was together.

Bobby and Jonny fell in love at first sight but both denied their feelings because they both felt unworthy. Bobby put on a happy front but was still running from her past she kept locked up tight. Jonny spent his life protecting the community it felt like a failure because of the sins and secrets of his family. When they finally connect and share their secrets with each other there is no going back. Jonny is Bobby’s safe place and Bobby is Jonny’s light.

I loved Jonny and Bobby’s story. I love that the villain from book 1 made a reappearance and tied up all the lose ends. I loved the glimpse into the future for all seven couples. And I loved that it ultimately closed with Nixon’s perspective and his musing about how far they had come since his return to Maryland and his family’s farm.

I have been waiting for Jonny’s story since the beginning and I loved it! He and Bobby were perfect together. I loved getting to know both characters more and loved the cameos from previous couples. I also adored the final chapter! I read this again, the second time being audio, and it was even better than the first time I read it! I absolutely loved the narrators and fell in love with Jonny and Bobby all over again.

Jonny's Redemption (Gemini Group Book 7) by Riley Edwards was a very poignant emotional love story between Jonny and Bobby each dealing with demons from their past but through all of the pain these two will have to go through, will the love from a determined woman allow Jonny to achieve redemption? This story will have you laughing and crying as you take this journey of rebirth between these two amazing characters. Jonny is dealing with guilt and hate for his father and brother as well as the secrets he had to keep growing up which is haunting him still as well as dealing with an alcoholic mother who Jonny feels never loved him. Bobby whose life was filled with hardships growing up abused by her father, abandoned by her mother and dealing with a brother who like his father turned to stealing and robbery leaving young Bobby to take the fall until she was able to escape her hell. Now this sexy, smart, strong woman who escaped from the holler of Kentucky has become a success in the music business with her friendship with Evie and the strong bonds she has with this group of men of Gemini and their women as they have embraced her as one of their own.. One friend in particular who Bobby has always had deep feelings for is Jonny, will she finally step up and tell him how she feels as she will soon learn she maybe the only one to help him heal.

Jonny is disillusioned with working at the Sheriff's department with the aftermath of the corruption within the department and now with a case where an innocent was not able to get justice, he decides to quit his job. Leaving everything behind , he is hiding away at his house at the beach trying to get his life back but he still won't come to terms of the past that is haunting him still. Pushing his friends away he will now find he has to deal with Bobby when she decides to come and confront him of how he is torturing himself and pushing his friends away. With her love she is trying to show Jonny that he is a good man with a good heart and needs to forgive himself before he can forgive others. As these two spend time together, Jonny finally admits to Bobby that he has always loved her and now these two will being a relationship that is fast, hard and full of love that will eventually heal both of them from all of the pain and guilt from the past as they will each learn they need to move past the guilt and pain and move forward in order to be happy. Can Bobby truly forget her past and move ahead as she still thinks she isn't good enough for Jonny. Can Jonny finally convince Bobby that she is an amazing strong woman who has overcome hardships to become this resilient woman she is today, one who is full of love and kindness towards others? As these two move forward in their relationship, they discover that the love between them is a bond that will never be broken as they are truly one together. Jonny will finally unleashed the burden he has kept inside that is killing him by opening up to Bobby and his brothers of the Gemini Group so he can get to have a life full of love as he looks towards a future with Bobby. . This story had so much happening between the commaridie these band of brothers who are a true family and their women, a threat that is heading towards Bobby, as well as relationships coming full circle through love and forgiveness. Riley Edwards has done an outstanding job bringing this series to an end with this emotional love story about Jonny and Bobby and the sexy strong men of the Gemini Group, a brotherhood that will last a lifetime.

Jonny’s Redemption
Gemini Group, Book 7
By: Riley Edwards
Narrated by: Joe Arden, Erin Mallon
Series: Gemini Group, Book 7

Riley Edwards continues to wow me with another amazing “Gemini Group” novel, the seventh and final book which makes me sad because I love these characters and the world she built for them, thankfully there are spinoffs and she is not entirely done with this fabulous world she created. This final book features Jonny Spencer and Roberta “Bobby” Layne, Jonny is a lieutenant with the local PD and friends with members of the Gemini group so you meet him early in the series. Bobby is Evie’s friend and assistant, first introduced in “Chasin’s Surrender”. One of the great things about this series is the characters and how easy it is to relate to them, care for them and even fall for them. These two characters have been thru the ringer, Bobby did not have the best of childhoods, her home life was terrible and she climbed out of that terrible life and made something of herself, but she does not give herself the credit she deserves, she still has insecurities and issues with self-esteem but covers them well. Jonny’s childhood was great until his father’s indiscretions ruined their home life, and his half brother was no bargain, either. Years later it all comes to a head, Jonny found himself in a terrible situation and had to make a lifesaving decision, and it was a life-changing one. Adding to that is his unhappiness with his job, the red tape and ability to do what he swore to do, uphold the law. He makes another life-changing decision and walks away from it all, and goes into hiding. His friends give him some space and a reprieve but after 30 days, he was expecting them to come and get him to bring him back home. Instead of them showing up at his door, it was Bobby, the only who really gets him and what he is going through. The chemistry between these two is electric, I thought they were great together and for each other. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, some angst, thrilling suspense, action, and some steamy romance. Riley Edwards, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride. Thanks for this amazing series and the bonus chapters at the end, loved the updates and hearing from those characters again.

🎧📚🎧 And for the exceptional narration, bravo to mega talented narrators, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden, who did an amazing job with these characters, portraying and humanizing them, naturally and believably. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance making you feel every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Jonny's Redemption
Gemini Group, Book 7
By: Riley Edwards
Narrated by: Joe Arden, Erin Mallon

I have loved this series. Riley Edwards knows how to combine a heart tugging romance with a thread of thrilling suspense that keeps me listening all night! I just can't stop! I was so happy to get the chance to listen to Jonny's story, as I knew it was going to push all the right buttons. To match him up with Bobby could not have been a better pick! Jonny has dealt with a lot in his life, and dealing with his family and their deaths is only part of it. He always wanted to be a cop, but lately things were not what he wanted. Now invested in Gemini Group, he has a chance to start something new. But he needs a good kick in the pants first and who better to give it to him than Bobby. She is a ball of energy, and heart of gold, the things Jonny needs. Bobby has a lot of insecurities though, and they do come to the forefront, and Jonny still needs to deal with his past. Just as things begin to go right, they do go incredibly wrong and the past comes right to Gemini's door. Will it all come to a head? Will Bobby leave? This is so good. It's the family aspect of this amazing ensemble cast Edwards has put together that makes me come back for more. Their are all intertwined, watching each other's back and keep each other safe. The epilogue is the perfect ending! It's one of my favorite series of the year!

And bringing it all to life from start to finish is Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. Arden plays the tortured soul so well, but he adds that protective nature in that Jonny has. Mallon is firm, but bubbly as Bobby, keeping Jonny on the right path. And together, these two spice is up, give us the thrills of danger and keep us on edge! Loved this story and the series!

Such a great ending to a wonderful series. Johnny Spencer has had to deal with a lot of heartache and lies since he was a young boy. LIes that he was forced to keep up appearances by his family. Forced to watch his brother slowly destroy those around him.
Bobby Layne is a force to reckon with. She's fierce and loyal to those she loves but deep down she isn't just she's enough to be loved for who she is. The girl for the holler, one whos momma left, father mistreated and brother is worthless. She thinks she needs to hide who she is to succeed.
Bobby knows Johnny is the one but he needs to want to be with her. They have been dancing around each other for awhile. He quientens the storm and sets her world to rights. She tames the beast and helps him find peace. He feels like he is a failure, no matter what he has done as a cop. He can't keep people safe.
The journey these two take us on is a powerful one of love, hope and peace dealing with love, loss and letting go of the past to find where you are meant to be with who you are meant to be with. Family is a bond fouraged with respect, having each others back and lifting and holding you up when you can't stand on your own two feet. Family doesn't have to be about blood.
I think this was my favorite of the Gemini Series, such an amazing read.

Riley Edwards ends the Gemini Group series with a sobfest (at least for me) as I've been waiting for Jonny and Bobby's HEA and boy did Riley Edwards delivered.

What an emotional read! As a reader I truly feel the chemistry between Jonny and Bobby, each of them have their own tragic backstory which sucks the reader in. Lieutenant Jonny Spencer is such a tortured Hero, he has been pushing Bobby away because he felt that he wasn't the best man for her. I love it when Jonny made he decision to be all in and to embrace the gift that is Bobby. Riley Edwards wrote a strong female in heroine Roberta “Bobby” Layne, her past experienced did not break her ... indeed it only made her the firecracker that she is.

One of the things that I loved about this book is the interaction between the Gemini operatives, their brotherhood is strong and unshakeable. It took awhile for Jonny to understand and embraced it. So wonderful to see the characters from the past books in the series making their appearance. I am very sad that this series has come to an end as it is one of my favourite series that Riley Edwards as written. However I'm looking forward to more books with new characters and more HEA that will be coming our way.

We all met Jonny in Nixon's book, the first in the Gemini series. As the series progressed, we only came to respect his bravery and admire what a genuinely good man he was. However, we also came to see just how damaged he was. Since being introduced to Bobbie in Chasin's Surrender, she has been a solid side character. Riley has brought them together to be in the Gemini series's final installment, and oh, what a beautiful tale it was.

Riley provides the mystery and suspense that drive the story and gives our alpha hero room to be, well, a hero. It also offers Bobbie ample opportunity to be so full of sass and spunk you love her more than you did before. But this book is more about the internal healing that is taking place in both characters. And Jonny learning to accept the brotherhood of the Gemini group.

I am sweetly sad to see the series end, but Riley finished it beautifully and with class. I hope to see these characters pop up in other series as Riley continues to write and thrill us all with her tales of love, brotherhood, friendship, family, and all the extras that make Riley one of the best out there.

What an amazing ending to a series that has been one heck of a ride and the final story has Jonny finally snapping, quitting his job as a Lieutenant at the Sheriff’s office and going off grid. Bobby is having none of that and after a few weeks interrupts Jonny’s solitude and finally finally they give in to their attraction. They both have skeletons and secrets in their pasts and to move forward together, they have to stick by each other when the darkness in their pasts comes to light.
OH HECK this story had me from the first paragraph and didn’t let go, flipping through the pages, grabbing tissues, drinking ice glasses of water to cool down...ahem steamy... and not wanting this story...series....to come to an end. I LOVED LOVED LOVED how no matter what, they had each other’s backs and of course the rest of the Gemini men and women standing by each other....brothers and sisters not by blood but by a bond that will never break....cue the tissues....again. Add in the bit of suspense and once again this author hits it out of the ballpark for another home run.

Every time I think I FINALLY have a favorite Riley Edwards’ book, she goes and releases a new book. Welp, this was no different! Swoon worthy!!! I have loved Jonny’s character from the first time he was introduced and the same with Bobby. You could see the writing on the wall for these two characters - and what a story it turned out to be! Without giving too much away, I think my absolute favorite part of this story is the fact that they were both “all in” from almost the beginning of the book. Their story wasn’t one of those where the couple gets together, breaks up, makes up, has drama, etc... No, Riley wrote these two amazingly strong characters to have each other’s backs from the get go and that never wavered. How sexy is THAT??? Reading about them standing up for one another was amazing. Listening to them share the heartbreaks of their childhoods - knowing the other was there to support them - perfection! I loved it so much, I can’t wait to read it again! Thank you Riley, for sharing your amazing talent with the world! I’ll miss Gemini, but looking forward to what you create next!

Emotional

Such an emotional read about two people trying out the past behind them and move forward.

Bobby and Jonny have had a fire simmering between them but have never acted on it. When Jonny becomes jaded with working in the police force, feeling that he is consistently failing those around him, he quits and draws away from those that care about him. Bobby isn’t about to let him wallow and stay in a dark place so follows him to his beach house where he’s hiding out. Sparks fly and Jonny finally admit ls he wants to be with her. Here starts their rocky road to forgiveness and peace.

I felt so sorry for them both in this story. This is probably the first book in a while I’ve read where the action/suspense part actually takes a back seat for me. The emotion was raw and Jonny was so vulnerable yet strong and steady at the same time.
Bobby was his rock even though she’s had her own pain and questionable childhood to deal with. Seeing them both do this together and not play games with each other just endeared them to me even more.
I always love the family vibe that comes from these series.

I have been such a fan of this series and I have been waiting for Jonny's story. The man has had a hard life and those demons have been lurking. I'm sure what he wasn't counting on was a spit fire of a woman named Bobby to come in and save him. But in saving him, he saved her.

At first it seemed like they rushed and jumped into their relationship but they have known each other for so long and the chemistry had been there the whole time. Now that Jonny wasn't trying to hide, he was able to be open with Bobby. His past was so hard and I really felt for him. And so was Bobby's. These two were able to bond over and have the understanding of what each other had been through. Bobby was sassy Southern girl who knew what she wanted and she was amazing. The epilogue was perfect and wrapped up the series so well. I'm sad that it's over but all good things must come to an end.

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon brought all the emotions. This was a tough one that needed two really amazing narrators and they were the right choices. You can never go wrong listening to a book narrated by either of them.

Throughout this series we’ve travelled a journey with the characters and slowly each book has become more and more emotional and just when you though Holden and Charlie had wrung you dry….Jonny and Bobby step up and leave you in a puddle.

This book starts deep and just when you think it’s going to take a while for all the secrets to come out they get dumped in your lap to deal with. The remainder of the book (which has a fantastic suspense plot to go with it, even if it is the sub plot to the emotional dramas) deals with the fall out and the bringing together of the tribe to heal all parties.

I adored Jonny and Bobby and felt they were represented wonderfully by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. Amazing narrators that bring such a strong depth of emotion to this story that you feel the pain of the past coming from the characters words.

And when you make it through, the epilogue is there to shine a rainbow 🌈
A wrap up that leaves you beaming for all the characters.

Highly recommended series, both in reading and listening this is one you will return to again and again.

Everyone thought Jonny Spencer led a charmed life with his perfect family when in reality it was all lies. When the Spencer’s adopted Doug, a boy whose mother died from cancer, everyone thought they were saints when in reality the life Jonny had known it ceased to exist. All Jonny wanted to do was serve his community so he became a police officer. He did all he could until he couldn’t. He quit his job and headed to the family beach home to recover and decide what to do next.
His friends at Gemini Group gave him a month to get it together. Then they were coming after him, ready or not. What he was not ready for was Bobby Layne, the woman he was crazy about but knew she was way out of his league. What he didn’t know was Bobby’s life growing up was not a walk in the park. Coming from the other side of the tracks, Bobby clawed her way out of the holler and overcame the shame of her childhood. Only when they finally start confiding in each other and learning each other's secrets can they truly begin to heal. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jonny and Bobby...... I have been waiting for his story. In the past books he was such a strong man, just everything that happened within his family I kept thinking where will this go. I loved that Jonny seemed to like Bobby and now we have their book. Two people who need to learn to trust and be open to each other. I also loved seeing the emotions from Jonny that he needed to get out and Bobby who is such a firecracker knew he needed to work through no matter what he said to her or anyone else. You do find out some suspenseful parts of a case from other books but overall it is a stand-alone book, however with the ending you get to see futures that have happened to the other couples so you can always go back and read those books too. The ending with all the couples of Gemini Group was a nice epilogue. At fist I wondered if we would see more of Jonny and Bobby’s and within part of Evie’s epilogue I read what I was hoping to see.

In Jonny's Redemption, the last installment of the Gemini Group series, Riley Edwards really doubles down on strong emotions. She explores how flawed thinking becomes the byproduct of emotional, mental and psychological abuse in one's childhood. Therefore affecting adult lives. Jonny Spencer has been a secondary character throughout the series and it seems fitting that his story is the series finale. Bobby Layne was introduced in Chasin's Surrender. Set against the backdrop of Jonny and Bobbi's love story, we get a glimpse into the future of the men of Gemini team, their women and their families. Fabulous ending!

Jonn and Bobbi are kindred spirits without realizing it. Their childhood experiences are something to be kept hidden, even from best friends. this was not so much as a securitu operation but more about two people finding each other which we kind of got from the other books.
Jonny needed help and needed a good woman and that's exactly what he got.
At first I thought the getting together was a bit quick but one has to realise they've been dancing around each other for the last two books so I guess it's not as quick as you think.
There was a little bit of angst in there with an old mystery to solve and I was thinking of the last time Bobby was in trouble.
however Riley didn't disappoint the happily-ever-after was perfection. the epilogue was particularly tantalising as we got to hear about all of Gemini family and what they were up to.
and I guess we're going to have a story about Penny and Vaughan, well I'm hoping we will anyway as he sounds like a tough cookie to crumble and penny is definately different... that will be interesting story.
as for Erin and Joe like usual superb, sensational and always a pleasure.
Will miss the Gemini series. it's always sad when it comes to an end.

Honestly I thought Holden's book was going to be the biggest heartbreaker of the series, I was wrong. This one at least equals it. Both characters flawed by their pasts, one is broken down with nothing left to give, the other has clawed her way past her family and forged her own life. She still hides from what happened and even her best friend doesn't know most of her story but when she knows Jonny needs help, she opens up to him and as she does then so does he. Emotional rollercoaster and all while looking for a missing person and dealing with more family issues. Soul mates just need each other to hold themselves up but these two found more with a bigger family, not only of blood but loyal and supportive. I loved their story and I loved all the catch ups and futures that came at the end. This series has been raw at times, scary at others but all the women are stronger in many ways than their protective alpha partners, I have been consumed from the start and have lived each book right along with the characters. Powerful, passionate and fabulous.

I have loved each series that Riley Edwards has written. I remember being so excited for the first Gemini book and now here we are at the end. I look forward to the last in each series from Riley Edward's because I know that aside from her signature suspense and romance, she'll treat readers to a peek at each of the couples and update us on their beautiful lives. It's like a family reunion, getting a glimpse on what's been happening since I saw them last. Jonny and Bobby were perfection together. I really enjoyed Jonny's moments of clarity each time he moved on from a part of his past, like when he decided he was worthy of Bobby's love and when he felt the brotherhood of the Gemini men. Jonny hasn't had much luck with his real family, as we know from previous books, but the damage ran deeper than I could have imagined. The bond shared by this group of friends is stronger than blood, it was good to see Jonny find his place.

If you have been reading the Gemini Group books you knew that Jonny's story was going to be gut wrenching and loaded with angst. Well Jonny's Redemption definitely gave us that and more! We first met Bobby Layne in Chasin's Surrender. She is a spitfire and has had her eye on Jonny since the first moment that they met. Jonny has so much baggage and he has finally drawn the line and decided to deal with it so that he can begin a future, one that he hopes to make Bobby a part of. There is a bit of a mystery attached to their story but mostly it is about two people coming to terms with their past and learning to accept what they cannot change and move forward with what they can. It is not necessary to have read the previous Gemini Group books however there are a lot of interconnected characters so I highly recommend reading those prior. It is a really good series and this was a perfect ending.

Full Circle to Redemption

Jonny Spencer and Bobbie Layne have been checking each other out for quite a while. He's a cop with a dark, desolate past. She's an assistant to a world renown country singer. Bobbie also had a traumatic and abusive childhood. Now they all live in Cliff City, a historic eastern coast small town where the Gemini Group is headquartered. Jonny has been working with Gemini Group and his investigations are churning up old wounds and crimes. He is also confronting his past. His family has instilled guilt into his very being. Now Bobbie has jumped in to provide Jonny back up, support, and to cover his six. He soon realizes he wants to provide Bobbie that same protection. As their relationship develops the plot also thickens around bad ex-cops, missing persons and kidnappings. Best of all, this book brings a satisfying and thorough conclusion to this wonderful series.
