Faking With The Frenemy

Rate this book
My smoldering one-night stand in Milan turns out to be my brother’s best friend—and now pretend boyfriend.

I’m an artist who fled my family’s smothering control years ago. Now I’m back in town.

Michael, a billionaire on a business trip with a chiseled jaw and god-like physique, makes me tremble with pleasure.

His heated gaze tells me what he will do to me.

My body became his canvas for the night.

Still tingling from our lustful night, I left him a “Thank you for your time” note.

Imagine my shock, trying to sidestep a relentless suitor at the party.

Mr. Milan waltzes in.

My jaw drops so fast that it can get a speeding ticket.

In a pinch, I grab him and introduce him as my boyfriend.

Now, we’re the vineyard’s hottest gossip.

It turns out Michael is my brother’s best friend, not a fling.

He’s far from pleased about our Milan secret or the boyfriend ruse.

Did I mention my family’s talent for mind-numbing meddling?

Just when I think I can finally put my brushes down and untangle from this mess,

I discover I’m painting for two.

That’s right—this pretend lover is about to become a real daddy.

Whew 😰 this book is one hot read! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Neither one of them are happy with having to fake a relationship and it makes them want each other even more! I want babies with him! Sexy, hot and god love her brother. He was NOT happy with his best friend or sister. She didn’t even know who he was. Lol. There are so many things about this book. It had me with all the feels! All the emotions. Secrets, lies and an overbearing family no wonder she doesn’t want to be around them. People aren’t who they say they are and this couple has to endure it! Surprise after surprise in this book. I did NOT like Alessia’s brother or father. However that was part of Sylvia’s design.
I really enjoyed this book. It has humor, banter, hot, can’t keep away from each other attraction!
Well done Sylvia

Beware of Family

Alessia dreads coming home for her father’s birthday but not because she doesn’t care. There are darker truths to her relationship with her remaining family that affect any intimate connection she has tried to make. When Michael enters the picture the story gets emotionally intense and the bond between friends will be tested. While I was not a fan of her brother and fathers overt behavior, I do like how everything worked out in the end.

This intriguing story had me all caught up in Alessia and Michael's drama from start to finish. Tired of her family's involvement in her life she heads out on her own where she connects with Michael who unbeknownst to her is her brother's best friend. Their involvement leaves her with a parting gift and now that they have reconnected, she has to tell him about their baby. Will he be thrilled about the development and will her brother allow their relationship to move forward towards a happily ever after.

Faking With The Frenemy was an epic read by Sylvia Rae. I just couldn't put it down. It definitely grabs your attention as it was a really smoking hot read. To escape her father and brother's overprotectiveness, Alessia fled Italy. She meets Michael and the chemistry between them is OTT hot. She leaves him a thank you note unaware they will meet again. Michael is her brother's best friend. Their story was a wild ride that will leave you begging for more! Definitely recommend!

Alessia and Michael

Cute story. Slow to engage at first. Didn't know the back story. I was certain it was related. It was easier to follow where it was leading once the reasoning became clear. Lots of characters.
