Amber Corriveau likes numbers and spreadsheets. They’re calculable. Efficient.

Men are different. Relationships baffle her. Which is why her current one is suffering.

But when Caleb Ellison, her handsome new co-worker, shows up, sharing her love of food and history, Amber isn’t sure how to add things up.

Does one minus one equal what’s best for everybody? Or does one plus one equal all she needs?

All She Needed is a slow burn, contemporary romance novella.

I devour everything Mimi Flood writes and this one was no different! It's a novella so it was a quick read but also so enjoyable! I liked the workplace romance trope with a little forbidden romance element too. This story puts emphasis on the timing of relationships and meeting someone you may be more compatible with. It was well done and I recommend picking this one up!

This is a sweet holiday treat about Amber and Caleb. And if I’m honest, I wanted more!

We meet Amber in the beginning where she’s in a lackluster relationship with her long time boyfriend James. I didn’t have a lot of issues with James, but it was clear right from the beginning it was time to move on and stop settling. And in walks Caleb.

Caleb teaches Amber what it means to feel again. I rooted for them, despite the tricky situation they found themselves. And I really just wanted more. I was so into the story and while I knew it was a short novella, this story had the potential to be a full blown novel and I really wish it was!

Obviously, I don’t condone infidelity in any way, but I liked what @mimifloodauthor did in this book in the way that she showcased how in life timing isn’t always perfect and sometimes it really do be like that. So I applaud her effort and her acknowledgments at the end that explained a bit more of this decision for her.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet winter read and the connection between Amber and Caleb. I can’t wait to see what Mimi has in store for us next!

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of All She Needed . This is a new to me author . I really enjoyed reading her story . Amber and her boyfriend James have been struggling in their relationship for awhile . He goes out of town for work more than Amber likes . After James is called away at Ambers Christmas party for work Amber meets Caleb a new employee , to the delight of Rebecka Ambers best friend . While James is away and barely communicating with Amber she spends time with Caleb showing him restaurants and sight seeing they enjoy their conversations and spending time together . Their attraction is growing but Amber is still with James . But Caleb is so tempting . This story is romantic and the characters are wonderful sometimes life takes a different turn . I highly recommend taking the time to read . Looking forward to reading more of Mimi Floods writing .

All She needed is a sweet wintery novella about Amber and Caleb – and I wanted to read more about them! Their friendship was adorable and all the wintertime activities around Montreal were really wonderful. I have read Mimi Flood before and love the way she writes – the not-so-great aspect of the story for me, however, was the the infidelity. The budding relationship between two new co-workers was lovely but the fact that one of them was still in a relationship when it began was not so great. The author’s acknowledgements at the end of the book were really good, though, and shed some light on as to why she wrote the story the way she did. And that’s the way it is in life, too, I guess, sometimes the timing of the best things aren’t as good as they could be…

Many thanks to the author for the chance to read this novella in advance!

All She Needed is a steamy contemporary romance holiday novella. I've read this book a few times now and honestly love it 😁

It's a workplace, forbiddenish romance where Amber's new coworker, Caleb, captures her attention, and I don't blame her...he sounds freaking hot, and I want him 😍

They do a little sightseeing around Montreal, which just made me desperate to visit. And the relationship built between the two was just *chef kiss* 💋

The acknowledgements (as well as featuring me, because I'm awesome) explain some of the choices made, I won't spoil it, and how sometimes timing is really everything.

Such a great read, I love all of Mimi's work, but I think this is definitely my fave 🥰

All She Needed is out now, so go grab it! 🩷

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of her book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.

All She Needed is a gorgeous, slow-burn, workplace, romance novella and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.

It was such a lovely romantic story and so easy to read too. I kept saying just one more chapter but the book had better ideas and just kept me reading more and more until i had finished it.

Amber and Caleb were such wonderful characters and were absolutely perfect for each other. I really enjoyed getting involved in their story and soon became totally immersed and didn’t want the story to end.

This was a beautiful story and a lovely, romantic, escapist read too…..

All She Needed is a standalone novella by Mimi Flood, a new to me author, who I look forward to reading more…

What happens when you meet a new co-worker who shares your love of all things…but you are in a relationship that is going nowhere…you figure out what is best before you end up with a life that is not at all what you need. Read on to see what Amber decides…stay with James or choose Caleb?

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from Bookcave. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Entertaining and Romantic!!

A change for the better. Amber is at her company’s Christmas party. Boyfriend James gets called away - again… Best friend Rebecka never has liked him. New co-worker Caleb needs on-boarding and a tour of the town.

It is relaxing, comfortable, fun and not at all like her time spent with James. She should feel bad, but James has extended his time away - again.

Ice skating, hot chocolate and dancing. Everyday events that become special when spent with the right person.

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

This is the first book I have had the honor of reading from Mimi Flood. Though I prefer something with a bit more spice, I will confess this book was definitely easy to ready and held my attention. I was able to immerse into the book and imagine the storyline as it went. For this, I thank the Ms. Mimi Flood for the chance to read this book.

All She Needed is a sweet novella. I enjoyed meeting Caleb and Amber. Their slow burn office romance made for a relaxing read, even if it was a tad predictable. I look forward to reading more books from Mimi Flood in the future.

Amber is unhappy in her relationship. Caleb comes along and shows her just how unappreciated she really is. The underlying boarder line cheating was a bit icky for me BUT the friendship that the two start out with was wonderful!

"All She Needed: A Slow Burn/Workplace Romance Novella" by Mimi Flood was a good read. I liked reading about Amber and Caleb. This story had a workplace romance, friends, Christmas, and more. This was the first time I've read any work by this author and I will likely read more in the future.

Oh Mimi has done it again! All She Needed is a cute workplace, slow burn romance story, right person, iffy timing! I'm left yearning for more of Amber and Caleb. I love the flirty banter between the two and the respect they showed each other and others. An obvious dilemma but, it's handled in such a wholesome and respectable way. I love the winter activities all around Montreal, I've now added a few things to my personal bucket list.

Her author's acknowledgements explained her thought process behind this novella.

"To anyone torn between what is right and what feels right, follow your heart, but be honest. Always choose honesty!"
