I really enjoyed this book. I always feel really thankful whenever i read a good MMF. These are not easy to write and they're difficult to find. I really liked that this one didn't only focus on the spice/kink. A lot of the book focuses on the building of the friendship between the 3 characters and on this friendship becoming more. I thought the three characters fitted very well together, it was beautiful to read how they each gave and received equally and how they completed each other. I didn't have a favorite, these 3 had my heart completely.

I'm not giving it 5 stars because some parts felt a bit shaky, maybe it needs a bit more editing? the beginning or ending of some chapters had an ''omniscient'' POV and it felt weird. Like another person was telling the story, seeing in the future…

i also think the ''drama'' was a bit too easy, some tropes about rich daddy issues or grief of a family member felt like they were just there to create emotion, it felt generic to me, i don't know how else to say it.

I still really enjoyed this story, would love to read more from this author (especially MMF) and would totally recommend this book.

I will rate it as 5. It was August, and Sasha recollects fond memories of her sister Frannie. Her parents are in the middle of a divorce. Sasha has two male friends. Smith and Caleb. They are quite the opposites. Smith comes from a wealthy lawyer family. Caleb, on the other hand, is struggling to keep up with the Holiday expenses of his mother and sister. Smith sometimes pays for Caleb’s misfortunes, which makes him hate Smith more. Unbeknownst, Smith also feels the same every time Sasha spends more time with Caleb. With so much silent hatred between the two men, can they keep their friendship to keep Sasha happy?
During the Holiday Season, the three of them decided to spend time together—courtesy of Smith. While the three are away from their family’s problems, the story becomes more interesting as Sasha emancipates herself. This arouses the curiosity of the two men. I then find myself revisiting a famous movie, "The Dreamers,” which has a similar approach to some highlight events of the novel, from a one-night event to an ordinary love for the trio. It wasn't easy to mentally keep things intact during this part of the novel.
Suddenly, Caleb and Sasha receive a letter from Smith explaining that he only did what he could to protect them both.
This was not acceptable to both Sasha and Caleb. Both of them have desperately suffered and longed for Smith. Caleb storms back into the life of Smith, asking for an explanation and to make a sacrifice as Caleb drags Smith back into their love affair, just in time to support Sasha to go to trial for the justice of her sister Frannie.
With so much passion and heat going on among the trio, their casual hookups become an established and committed love that the family of Sasha celebrated. This novel has opened my eyes to a new experience and definition of romance among three people that a curious and open-minded reader like me would appreciate.

Admittedly, I thought this story would end up like other novels and series out there. However, the story has made me avoid quickly jumping to a conclusion as an editorial book reviewer. This story opens a very dark account while having highly sexual content and ends up with so much sincerity and openness.

Ok, it took me a little whilst to settle into this one and initially I thought it would be DNF, but I actually ended up loving the characters and this this is a good intro to MFM with some morally grey moments and fabulous spicy scenes.

I started off only actually liking one of the three characters, but the further I read, the more I suspected this was deliberate, making the writing excellent. Hopefully you too will feel the sense of a shared journey as you read about Sasha, Caleb and Smith and how they overcome their own traumas and hang ups to become the best versions of themselves together. There’s shock, fear, spice and a hard won HA. Enjoy!!

Three people who didn't know just how much they needed each other to survive their own personal demons. Three people who tentatively take the next steps towards happiness. This is a slow burn story which can feel a bit slow to start, but once it gets going it's pretty explosive!

I found the thruple's journey a nice chance to get to know them, to really understand them and their interesting back stories. And while I started out feeling the writing style felt almost fairy storyish, it grew on me and was quite effective.

All in all a great read with a lovely HAE. Particularly enjoyed Smith's dirty talking!!.

Trying to find MMF books where it's focus is not primarily on the spice is hard so I was pleasantly surprised with the books. I love that the book focuses a lot on building the friendship within the first half of the book before they begin to explore their feelings with each other more.

I thought that the characters were well written and all fitted well together. Though I would describe this more of a polyamorous relationship as they all love each other rather than Sasha only loving the Caleb and Smith.

I found another favorite author. I enjoyed this book tremendously. It isn't your average MMF book. This book had teeth and once bitten I could not put this down. Such depth of character for each Main Character. Sasha had a horrendously tragic event happen to her, Caleb suffered with financial woes and medical problems, while Smith dealt with an uncaring abusive family life. They fell in love and each dealt with the problems in their own lives with the love of the others. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

Sasha, Caleb and Smith are three people going through a great deal of emotional trauma. Sasha just lost her sister and her parents are divorcing. Caleb’s mother can barely afford his insulin and he has to work numerous jobs to be able to afford college even with his scholarship. Smith may be wealthy be he has no real friends and his family ignores him. These three find each other and gradually and somewhat reluctantly become friends. During the holidays they find themselves getting closer not just emotionally but physically. As things change will the love they share help them overcome their problems? Great story of three people growing and maturing.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book quite like this. This is definitely a character driven book, which I loved. The build up of the characters was a big part of the story, and it wouldn’t have worked well without that.

I laughed, I swooned, I was SWEATY fanning myself during the spice. Lord the mouths on these two men. I’m partial to Caleb myself but Smith is also great. Then I cried. Then I fanned myself some more. I loved how independent and feisty Sasha was but how she very much needed to be taken care of by these two men.

This book has spice yes, but it also has heart and the characters growth was very well written. Definitely recommend!

I liked this story, the characters were nicely fleshed out and I like that they are imperfect, vulnerable and flawed as it makes for a more interesting story.
The spicy scenes were written well, I liked how they discussed everything before the act and paid attention to consent as it is, for me, a great idea to put into the book in a realistic way.
I also appreciate the conversation around trauma and how the characters overcame and dealt with theirs.

This love story makes the reader root for Sasha, Caleb and Smith. The author has done a beautiful job of intertwining three individuals with different lives, and exploring their growing love and sexuality with each other. I found myself rooting for each person and celebrating their victories. This book kept me invest through every chapter. This is the first time I’ve read this author, and she can definitely add me to her devoted fan list!.

An absolutely beautiful story. The relationship Smith, Caleb, and Sasha have is the result of a stunning journey. The storytelling is magnificent. I couldn’t put it down. It’s the kind of love story that will make you believe in happily ever after despite all that could go wrong, or the negative judgment of people who claim to be family. The story is intense, but written with grace and respect. I loved it!

Perfect mix of heat, heart and humour

This book is a roller coaster of feels! The romance is heartwarming, the humor had me snorting, and the spicy scenes are hot but with an emphasis on consent (that was approached in a totally hot way). I laughed, cried, and fell for characters who got under my skin like emotional ninjas. I know I shouldn’t have a favourite character, but Smith has a little bit extra of my heart.

It started slow and I felt like the timeline kept bouncing back and forth between present and foreshadowing but once I got over that hump I devoured the rest of the book. Love this throuple’s dynamic!

REVIEW:

This was really sweet and romantic. I absolutely love MMF ménages where all three people are in love. I prefer these over the MFM ménages (although I enjoy those too) because there feels like such a deeper connection with them when it's like this.

In this one, each of them have some very real struggles going on.

Sasha has recently lost her younger sister, who was murdered by her ex boyfriend. And her family has fallen apart since then.

Caleb and his family have always had money struggles. And he has constantly worked his butt off to help his mom and sister financially. But at the expense of his own health.

Smith has lived a life of luxury and absolute loneliness. His family is very rich, but also extremely neglectful and verbally abusive towards him.

These three were absolutely adorable together. I adored their time of being budding friends. And I loved seeing how deeply engrained they all became with each other by the end. It was so special. The little moments here and there that demonstrate their commitment and care for each other. It was so sweet.

When Smith left them, I was devastated. I understand why he did it and that he was trying to protect them from his father. But I do wish he would've talked to them first. I am glad that their separation wasn't for years at least. I've read books like that and hated it. Thankfully it was only a few months. Phew.

The one thing about the book is that the writing style felt kind of formal. It's told in third person, which I don't always love. But it's not exactly that. It's hard to pinpoint how it felt that way. But it felt like a narrator was talking to me about their lives. Rather than being in the moment, the way it was written took me out of the story firsthand and felt like I was being told about it after the fact. I still loved the story, but I didn't love the writing style.

Overall though, it was a fabulous MMF ménage. Lots of emotion and steamy moments. Everything was incredibly sweet and romantic. I loved seeing how things turned out for these three amazing characters.
