Strength dwindles as the Talbot tribe make their trek into the Darien Gap, sixty miles of broken highway and inhospitable terrain through the sweltering Central American wilderness. Stinging from their recent losses, the group is forced to sleep suspended in trees to avoid the hordes thriving there, but that brings only a temporary, miserable reprieve.
Pursued by the relentless Brazilian Army, they become entangled at the mercy of yet another military faction. Alliances are few and far between but making it on their own, constantly menaced by both men and monsters makes advancement towards home increasingly unlikely.
Of course, any human diversion puts the Zombie races at an advantage, and their physical and mental evolutions provide an unending stream of terror. If only the Americans could recruit a gutsy new company to fight alongside them...perhaps an unlikely force, noble, brave, and... shipwrecked?
Twenty words. I hate writing reviews. Suffice to say you should buy and read or listen to or both anything Mike Tufo writes. Even the dog stories are good. Riley is awesome. Haven't been able to do the clown offshoot yet. I've been wondering if it's a clown thing or maybe that's the gruesome line I just can't cross. But they are on my list as a backup plan. I'll get there. Do yourself a favor and spend the credit or even real money. Even better buy the Kindle edition and get the Audiobook for a measly 7.49. Best money you'll probably spend in a month of Sundays. I'm done. That my twenty.
Books was great and much more in line with what I want to see in a Talbot book. Only disappointment was at the end of the audiobook they didn't say "Audible hopes you have enjoyed this broadcast". Very disappointing.
This book is an excellent installment to the series. The Talbot group are still trying to get home. They of course have more enemies than they know what to do with and only some of those are zombies. This is a weird and terrifying trip through the jungle. I can hardly wait for the next book.
To say that I look forward to every new book in the Zombie Fallout series would be a gross understatement. The characters are so well developed that as a reader, I feel invested in their next adventure. Whether you’re a fan of the genre or not, Tufo will have you hooked from the very beginning.
Usually every Tufo book is a 5/5 rating for me but this would have been 4.5 because there is a lot less humorous dialog these days compared to earlier books. Far more brooding than the books used to be. Then the BT interlude at the end of the book destroyed the entire book for me. From a 4.5 to a 3 rating (considered less stars even). It was FAR FAR FAR too graphic and completely irrelevant to the story. I expect such writing in the Tim books but not these other books.
This is another great one. The continuation of Mike Talbot and family is a wonderful way to pass the time. The way that u get sucked into the story, is unlike other stories I have read. Some of the ways that Talbot gets into trouble and put of trouble, just makes me want to keep reading these stories forever. Thank u Mark Tufo.
I love how Mark Tufo can write a whole book that spans just days of crazy stuff that goes on in the day of the Talbot family and gang. I am happy to have new characters and loved the whole Japanese carrier scene, along with the badass sword-yielding lesbian on board who took care of business. I'm now close to being caught up on the books I'm getting worried for the characters I've come to love more and more and I also don't want it to end.
Another thoroughly entertaining entry in the Zombie Fallout series. Mark Tufo is building up steam again, and this novel was delightful. I particularly appreciated the many relevant SFF references he had characters throw at each other, and a Talbot dream that was a direct reference to another Tufo series, The United States of Apocalypse. Too funny.
I don’t know how Tufo keeps this straight in his head. Just when I start to really get into the current action were whisked off on a completely different tangent. Believe me, I’m not complaining!!!! I’m going to hate to see this series come to an end. They all feel like family now.
Another Talbot romp with 2 other story twists to get your mouth watering for more Good job Tufo! So much more entertaining than anything Hollywood can put together now. If it wasn't for my favorite scribblers I would have no entertainment
Love Mark Tufo writing style. He keeps you engaged. I’ve read the whole series and definitely my favorite. But I don’t think this bridged the gap. I’m hoping for another one.
As much as I've tried, i just can't get into the side story about the other crew that Tommy meets up with. It just constantly takes me out of the story and makes me lose interest overall. I'm definitely gonna keep listening to each book but i wish he'd turn their story into a separate line of books
Some books age really well as the series progresses. I actually thought the series finished about 4 books ago, and then it just kept going. I need to look up a timeline, because there are some weird things going on.
Follows with the series, then ties Azile in, and the the professor who shall stay nameless for this review. Makes me want to read the opening chapters of the next book.
I love zombie fallout and I’ll keep listening to this until there is none left! I’ll probably listen to this series again and again for my life till I can’t anymore!
Connected with Panama military…connected with Japanese shipping vessel one of them is like a female ninja. The group start refining fuels for vehicle travelling…

Mike's snark and humor are BACK in full force, and I am here for it!! I absolutely LOVED this book start to finish. These characters have become family to me, and the plot is so well done. I can't wait for the next adventure to come out!
