Amazing plot! Suspense was very good and kept me on edge <3 Loved this story so much and the writing was amazing :)

Nick and Kim: Coupled In Crime #1 Destination Doom is a crime, thriller and mystrey series mixed with a little romance by Nat Dracrup. It's an adventurous story with characters that have the most swoon worthy love story and amazing personalities. Where can I find a guy like Nick for me? And can I please have a dose ok Kim's self confidence? It's absolutely refreshing!
But, this book is not only a love story. The mystrey that they're involved in leads them on a wild ride so there was never a dull moment.
The writing style of the book is good, the author paints a vivid picture of the story. However, there's a lot of content and descriptions in the beginning that are unnecessary to the story abd could be possibly be scraped. As a reader, it took away from the importance of the main storyline and did create moments that unnecessarily dragged on. But, this is something that can be fixed while still maintaining the essence of the book.
Overall, as someone who enjoys a good mystrey, I loved it. The chemistry between the characters felt like a cherry on top that I didn't know I needed!
Side note:
I do not know much about the culture of Hawaii (past or present) so if anyone has read this book and if there's an issue please let me or the author know!

I DNF’d at 10%. I could not for the life of me get into the story. I still don’t understand what I read and didn’t want to waste my time trying to read enough for it to finally click…if it ever would.

Such a good book! I adored the characters and that’s always an important part for me when reading a book. Nick and Kim’s relationship felt so genuine and real like any other couple you would meet on the street. Although I do have a soft spot for Tony (he was such a sweetheart). Overall, this book just gave me nostalgia for one of my favourite programs as a child (Scooby-Doo) while keeping me engaged and wanting to keep reading on! Can’t wait for the next one😄

I always describe this book as Scooby Doo for adults- interesting characters and creatures that are both nostalgic and original. Absolutely enjoyed reading this book. The author is very talented and has created an amazingly engaging story with a unique writing style. The narrative had so many twists and turns and characters you can really get attached to. The interactions and relationships between characters are sophisticated and really draw you into the realistic feeling world that Nat has created.
100% recommend for a fun read. Cannot wait to read the sequel if there is one!

An incredible story, filled with not only intrigue and delight, but with humour too! The main characters are so loveable and relatable, and the writing style is beautiful. An absolute treat that I will come back to reread again and again!

You are on vacation in Hawaii. You are expecting to have a good time. Perhaps you want to soak up the sun on the beach and sip on a couple of Pina Coladas. Yes, that would be a typical vacation. But not in Nick and Kim’s crazy life! Instead of cocktails and spas, what Nick and Kim had to do was deal with monsters. Monsters who have come alive from the ancient Hawaiian myths.
Nick and Kim: Coupled in Crime is the first book in the Destination Doom series. It’s an amalgamation of a thriller, mystery, adventure, and romance laced to the plotline. Nick is a journalist, a vibrant, fun-loving guy. And Kim is a confident, no-nonsense businesswoman who built her place in the industry all on her own. The engaging protagonists and their lively group of friends made me feel compelled to know what happens when the apparent ghosts of the dead warriors, The Nightmarchers, come to roam the lands.
The author has done a remarkable job building up an atmospheric background to the story and painting a vivid description of the thrilling events. My favorite thing about this book is the banter among the characters. The ironic wit and the satirical humor all combined. Nick and Kim were sometimes so adorable I couldn’t help but love them! While there are complexities in the book, the fun exists to balance it all out. However, while reading some chapters, I sometimes came by needless lengthy descriptions. The plot was a slow start, and it often engaged my attention away from the focus point. Apart from it, this book would make for a great binge read! The relationship between these two lovers was something so precious. You are going to adore their chemistry!

🥀I was super curious to know what this book holds because the cover is kinda funny and the title is light heartedly scary but the book is an amalgamation of everything amazing. It's a blend of sweet moments yet it is so spicy in so many ways. The storyline starts with an event but then it's fast forwarded and that's where the real story starts. Nick and Kim share an unique bond, as characters they're so different for one other but compliment so well to each other. The backdrop of vacation that turned crazy was too intriguing but the fact that nothing is overpowering and intense makes it a light read that's very entertaining.

The storyline is a blend of various genres, it has thrill, suspense, romance and humour too, which makes it stand out from the other thrillers or rom com we usually read. The language is universal and can be read and enjoyed by all sort of readers. It's a 400+ pages read but every chapter feels like an episode of a series and thus it was a binge worthy! The romantic aspect of the book is worth appreciating because Nick and Kim are two such characters who would actually make a place in your heart. I loved Kim so so much!

This is an unique read with moments of love, laughter, happiness, horrors and uncertainty. It's filled with twists and the ending truly has my heart. I will highly highly recommend it.

I am a very frequent reader, especially of the mystery/thriller genre, and I have to say this is one of my favorite books I've ever read. The writing was just incredible, and I can't wait to read more of Nat Kitson' work. It really sucked me in from the beginning with a twist at the end that I did not see coming. The quality of the writing shines through on every stage.
The storyline is just incredible and the characters just blew me away! Wow!!! Reading this was like riding a roller coaster there are some spots where I just thought for sure I was going to be thrown into left field and I didn't know what the crap was going on!!
Definitely looking forward to more from this author.💯

I really wanted to like this book but it just wasn’t for me. It gave me Scooby Doo vibes which made me nostalgic but I couldn’t get into it.

This was an enjoyable book. Easy reading but fun. I enjoyed the dynamic of the main characters and the plot and setting was nice.
