A really lovely series of books set in Penworth Bay, Cornwall, at the bakery, which Elsie runs. All her employees and the volunteer each month are her 'family', which is why the majority of volunteers stay around after their time volunteering has finished.

This book is about Tammy, who is volunteering after being made redundant from her garden centre job. She meets Josh, the new lighthouse keeper who has replaced Ian (Elsie's husband) as he has just retired.

Each book is a standalone story, but they are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

relaxing

Another book about from The Cornish Bakery. I love theses books. I have read all 18 of them. They take you to a special place where everyone is different but apart of this beautiful Bakery Family. And know matter what happens they are always there for each other. I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

I have enjoyed all of the Cornish Bakery books and can’t wait for 27th July when the latest book is released. Each book follows a new volunteer and we follow their new paths - together with the original volunteers through the series, all of whom have decided to move to be with their partners in this perfect village by the sea.

Tammy and new lighthouse keeper Josh are the main characters in this book, although as always it’s good to meet up with others from previous books. Be nice if a few more than just Daisy and Ollie were to get married. Come on Diane, Harry really wants a baby.
