My landlord is going to hate me for what I’m about to do. I’ve never had a father and never wanted one either. To my dismay, I do have a father, Arthur le Fay–a crime lord witch. Afraid for not just my safety, but the safety of my friends and coven, I have no other choice but to make a deal with a devil. A little drastic? Maybe, but it’s certainly effective. At least it would be–if the devil would agree to make a deal with me! Now I have a devil in my apartment and no idea what to do about the le Fays. I just want them to leave me alone… or maybe I want them afraid of me. Fear is one hell of a motivator. But no amount of fear will get this devil of mine to behave. He’s much more partial to exchanges, my body for his benevolence. Nothing good can come from feelings, especially when he insists he has none. Crystals and Contracts is the second book in the le Fay Romance series following a family of witches, though the books can be read as stand-alone. Crystals and Contracts features a witch and devil relationship between a woman and man. This book contains sexual content not appropriate for readers under the age of 18.
Arin was born and raised along the American east coast and has called the city, the shore, and the country their home. They've come a long way from writing anime fanfiction in their bedroom and even have a BA in creative writing. When they're not writing Arin enjoys playing tabletop games, drinking coffee, and collecting bits and bobbles. They currently live in Stephen King's backyard with their partner, cat, and lizard.
3.5 stars I liked the premise of this with summoning a devil for revenge and shit. I felt like we almost got there with the romance between the main characters, but it fell a bit short in some places. It was def a HFN ending when a book with this kind of threat to a long term relationship needed more wrapping up. I liked that Rosier learned how to have more feels and accept parts of himself he avoided. I didn’t like how things wrapped up with the bestie.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: violence, gore, death of parent from cancer (past), grief, discussions of hell and idea of eternal torment, ritual murder (off page), infidelity (side characters), abusive parent (past)
What a great story. Minnie’s a little wicked witch and I love it!!! She summons a devil, pegs him and after escaping the earth realm (to the Hells) enjoys a steamy romp with Rosier in his BIG devil form. Plus there’s a cute little trash can kitty cat, a witchy best friend and a snarky succubus. All the ingredients needed to make a wonderfully funny and hot as the hells story.

I am so glad I found A.A. Fairview’s books because I can guarantee they will always make me smile and give me a good laugh. This was so fun and quirky and Rosier’s entrance into the book was one of the best (and most hilarious) I’ve read, he truly is such a fantastic character. The whole thing felt like one big warm hug and I came away from it absolutely loving all the characters.
The only note that I’ll make was that the ending felt a little confusing and I felt like I wanted a little more wrapping up of their story (I can’t really explain what I mean without spoilers). The ending was just a little rushed and there were pieces of the puzzle I felt like I was missing - but this could have been just me not paying proper attention and getting distracted by devil sex 🤣
I would recommend it if you need a really good laugh and a cast of characters who you won’t be able to resist falling in love with, oh and a little bit of magic and a devils with a very interesting appendage 😉
“I love it when you curse,” he murmurs. “Angels be damned–you sound better than any fucking hymn.”
First off, I love this cover! I absolutely love purple books, and this cover is soooo pretty! I also really enjoyed the story. While it is book two in an interconnected series, it really felt like its own book, which isn't always the case. I loved Minnie and Rosier! They had great chemistry and tension. The banter was perfect and so was the spice! I will say the ending kind of left a few loose ends, which I didn't like. I was left wondering about what happened to certain characters, even though this was supposed to be a book by itself. Also, there were a few logistically things that I wasn't sure how they all worked out. However, I really enjoyed everything else in the book. My favorite side characters were Kas and Leaf. I also loved the witchy details in this book!
I love love loved this book! I adore Minnie and Rosier. This story was completely unexpected and absolutely wonderful! I didn’t see most of this story coming, but it’s one of the many things I loved about it. Minnie is such a fun character. She fierce, strong, kind, caring, and boy oh boy her attitude is a delight to watch unfold. And then we have our Devil…Rosier. Dannnggg, I would have never guessed the devil we got versus the devil we ended up with at the end, but man did I love it. This story was chalked full of surprises and ups and downs and I was utterly hooked. A highly recommended book!
"Born in Hell or born on Earth, you just don't look through a woman's bedside drawers."
What a fun book this was to read if you're looking for a BDSM switch and a switch romance with D/S dynamic, this is it.
I loved how the author didn't use the desserts to describe the character skin colours and how fun the rest of the casts were to read.
The reason why I didn't give the 5 stars was because Minnie turned murderous felt like it was a sudden change, when she didn't want to murder anybody in the beginning because she believed it was morally wrong so having her throw that away to kill a woman that insulted her mother felt unnatural.

This book was so cute and steamy, but it just left so much hanging in the air. Was Minnie still going to die? What happened to the witch coven she left behind? What about Guin? Just so many questions.
Crystals and Contracts is the second book in the le Fay Romances series. This is the story of Minnie a witch and Rosier a devil. The story was interesting but not really my cup of tea. I do know that other people will enjoy the story. The story line was good. I would recommend this book.
07.12.3 It's nearly the end of the year and I think it’s safe to say this is the best book I’ve read in 2023. I love so much about it, and even though it's not perfect, I love how I get swept away with the story and feel for the characters. Even now, after having reread it so quickly, I felt for both Minnie and Rosier. I love their relationship so much and the way it is built is perfect. The smut is also incredible and left me reeling a second time. The story left me wanting more of them, which I think is great, and I will definitely read it again in the future. I can't wait to read book 1 in the series!
I will try to contain my utter excitement about this book and attempt to be as coherent as possible. Let's start with the MMC. He is probably the hottest MC I've read in a long time. The way he was described when he appeared was great, and the way the FMC reacted was perfect. The entire story had me obsessed. I loved the vibe of the whole book, and both the MCs were great. Their relationship was also fantastic. The smut was one of the best I've read in a long time and had me clutching the couch. I didn't want to put this book down and definitely ended up reading it until I passed out in bed.
