Something isn’t right. I’ve been up on this mountain for a few months now, helping my fellow ex-Army Ranger buddies rebuild an old mining town. We’ve been alone up here, aside from the women my friends have settled down with. But now, we have a trespasser.
I started noticing mysterious tracks and things missing here and there, and then discovered a den where the little punk has been hiding. When I camp out at the construction site overnight, I’m prepared to give whoever is sneaking onto our property a harsh talking to and a good scare.
What I’m not prepared for is the raven-haired goddess with wide, terrified, sky-blue eyes. She steals the breath from my lungs and cracks my heart of stone in half with one look. Blakely is afraid of everything and everyone, and it kills me that she can’t even look me in the eye. If she hadn’t passed out, I don’t know that she would have ever agreed to come back to my cabin.
She’s here now, and for the first time since leaving the military, I feel like I have a reason to wake up in the morning. Saving Blakely from whatever has her running scared is my new mission in life. I just hope my past doesn’t come between us…

I love reading Camerons books they make me all happy. I’m excited about Cassain he is everything you need in a mountain man. He’s been through so much since the war. But im glad he has his brothers.. and that's where he meets Bakeley when she is hiding in one of the cabins. And she’s already apologizing for being there, and Cass doesn’t care he is already fallen in love. It does take Blakey a little bit since she ran away from her family, who tried to sell her. They are super into each other. The spice is low, which is nice. We do get some ptsd moment, not a lot, but Cass does have his own problems. i do wish these were a little longer so we can deal with ptsd more properly.
I dont wanna give too much away since it's a novella, and i always love these ones.

3.5 Safe No cheating No OM/OW No gross condom use Virgin heroine is 21 Hero is 34 and celibate 10 years, not man whore, but is still experienced. (We get this stupid double standard that he is had women in the past but she has to be a pristine virgin, so he gets all of her and is gifted all of her firsts, but she doesn't get all of him since he gave all his first to whomever in his past, and I am so sick of it!) A few hour separation (when he kicks her out *heavy eye roll*) HEA I enjoyed most if it until the third act asshole move from Cassian. At first he was sweet, attentive, so nice, caring and the sex between them was hot. Cassian in out of the army, and suffers PTSD but is instantly taken by Blakely who falls in his arms unconscious, and he takes care of her, falling for her fast. She really suffered at the hands of her aunt and uncle, and she ran away when she realized that they were about to sell her for sex. She survived for 3 days stealing food and water, until she is rescued by Cassian. She has horrible scars on her body from years of abuse, and they both open up to each other and it is real love and sweetness until he has a night terror and almost hits Blakely. She is there to care for him and soothe him after his nightmare, even opened up and said she loves him, only for him to do the stupid, typical asshole thing. He goes all 'woe is me', 'you can't love me', he calls his friend to take her to 'keep her safe from him'. Here is the scene so I can refer to it in future. Quote (scene that soured the story for me), "I shore up all the courage I have and tell him what’s been on my mind and heart ever since we shared our first kiss. “I love you, Cassian.” Silence spreads between us as I sit there with my heart in my hand. “You can’t love me,” he finally responds. “I’m no good for you. I’m no good for anyone.” “No, Cassian–” He stands up and puts on a pair of shorts before handing me some clothes Ari let me borrow until I’m able to go shopping for my own stuff. I furrow my brow, tilting my head to the side as I look up at him. “Are you kicking me out?” I whisper, trying not to let my voice crack. “I… You can’t stay here,” he stammers out. Before I get a chance to ask what he means, Cassian grabs his phone from his bedside table and calls someone. “Wilder,” he growls. “Got a situation. Blakely needs to stay at your place tonight.” “What?” I gasp. “Why? Cassian…” He gives me a sharp look that has my protests dying on my lips. He’s determined to get rid of me. I see that now. “She’s okay, I just… fuck, I had a nightmare, and…” Wilder says something over the phone, and Cassian grunts in agreement. “I need her to be safe.” He hangs up after that and heads out into the living room. I’m left gaping after him, trying to wrap my mind around what just happened."
She doesn't know what she did wrong, in tears, while he is regretting his actions but took hours to go to her and beg for forgiveness. Quote, “Fuck,” I mutter to myself for the tenth time since I sent Blakely away a few hours ago. No, I didn’t just send her away. I rejected her. My girl told me she loved me… and I told her to leave. “Fuck,” I say again, coming to a stop in front of my living room window. I can see Wilder and Ari’s place across the way, the lights still on. I’m sure Blakely is still awake, probably crying and wondering what she did wrong. It’s that thought that sends me over the edge. It’s not her fault. She did nothing wrong. Blakely put her heart on the line, and I made a rash decision based on fear. I only hope it's not too late to make it up to her."
At least it was only a few hours, and she forgave him too easily, but now she will always remember when she first said 'I love you', to the only man she ever loved, only for him to push her away and hurt her, even though he swore never to do that to her. He begs for forgiveness, gives his 'I am sorry I love you spiel', he takes her home, they fuck. Epilogue. I hated that the sweet story was ruined with a bullshit move of adding angst and drama for the sake of it. Instead of doing that, he could have soaked up her love and healing like she did when he was there for her. Instead he pushed her away, and it ruined it for me. When I read started reading it, I thought the hero would be like the one in the 2nd book (the best one). The epilogue was sweet, but I don't think I will reread it. The last one in the series seems to be more cynical of them all, (the hero in book 2 was perfect and I wish Cameron Hart wrote more stories like his). According to the premise, the heroine Brielle, is bubbly and cheerful and his physical therapist. When he finds out she has issues of her own, he jumps into action to protect her. I have a feeling he will be such an asshole to her, hurt her by pushing her away or say something hurtful to break her heart, only to regret it and beg for forgiveness which she will give in a heartbeat. *shaking my head* It is the last in the series, and I am hoping it will be as short as this one, so I am going to read it.
WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

A moment later there's a knock on the door, Wilder and Ari come inside, Blakely is still in shock. Cassian is good with his daughters, he's sweet and gentle while being firm. After all these years Cassian still takes Blakely's breath away, he's still as handsome even more now. Blakely loves her life that they've built, everything is perfect. They did this together, they both saved each other. 3.5/5 stars
Cassian and Huxley have arrived at the old abandoned mining town that their ex Army Ranger buddy, Wilder bought for them all to heal and live in. Huxley quickly found his woman, Jordan after arriving and Wilder already had his woman, Ari moved in with him, he is the odd man out, the fifth wheel. Was he jealous? Maybe. But he hadn’t felt anything in a long time and his PTSD made things even worse for him. One evening he sets out to find the squatter that is at one of the construction sites. He has seen the smaller foot prints and can feel someone watching him work. What he find surprises him, it’s not so e punk kids it’s a beautiful young woman. She gets so scared by being caught she literally faints on him. Blakely has had a very rough childhood, her mother dumps her as a newborn on her uncle and aunt, she never knew her dad. Her uncle is very abusive, as she got older he started hitting her and burning her with his smokes. Her story is so heartbreaking. Now that she’s almost 21 all of a sudden the aunt and uncle are being nice to her. That is until they tell her she is going to be having sex with men so they can make some money. She runs. She evades them for a bit and finds Cassian’s construction site and hides out there. Cassian brings her back to his place and cleans her up. Once she awakens she scared but he puts her to ease. He’s very gentle and kind to her. He feeds her and gives her a safe place. Soon their attraction to one another can’t be denied and they kiss. He gets her off and gives her oral. They finally have sex, her first time, he’s been celibate a decade. Lots of sexy times. For how shy she was and scared she goes from timid to vixen very quick, it was a little jarring. One night Cassian has a nightmare and almost elbows her when she tries to wake him, she ducks and tries again to wake him. When he does wake up he’s mad at himself, calls Wilder and tells him to come get Blakely because he’s worried he’ll hurt her. She tells him she doesn’t want to go and that she loves him. He ignores her and she leaves with Ari and Wilder. He immediately feels like crap for sending her away, he realizes he needs her and he didn’t even acknowledge her confession of love. He cleans himself up and heads to Wilder’s. There he confesses to loving everything about her and asks her to come back home with him. She forgives him and they go back to his cabin. More sexy times and epilogue with three daughters and them both very happy. No comeuppance for the uncle and aunt who abused her and were going to pimp her out. Would also have liked to have seen more interaction between her and the other girls. They could have really helped heal her. Last up is Elliot, no real set up for him other than he needs lots of physical therapy still for his leg, he was injured the most out of their group during the ambush.

Saving Love is the third book in the Love on the mountain series. This is Cassian' story, the man who barely says a word and keeps it all buttoned down. Cassian is sure there is a squatter in one of the buildings they are building and is determined to catch them and then scare them. Blakely has been on the run from her aunt and uncle for the last couple of days. She had been brought up by them, being abused horribly. But when they started being nice to her and then wanted to go on a vacation in the mountains as she turned twenty-one she thought it was a new start for them all. What she was not expecting was to have to climb out the bathroom window and run when a creepy man showed up and she realized just what was about to happen. She ran and ran and eventually came across a building site where she stayed the night and has come back to for the last few. When Cassian catches Blakely he may be ready to scare her but he knows with one look that his mission has changed completely.....he wants to keep her safe and protected at all costs. When he takes her back to his cabin they start something which neither is able to stop, and that will change their lives forever. I really enjoyed Blakely and Cassian's story. I loved both characters, and getting to know more about the gentle giant was wonderful Together they make a lovely couple that heats up your Kindle.
A woman on the run from abusive family finds herself in the arms of a damaged soul Cassian had recently moved on the mountain with his brothers in arms and was building a small homestead for himself when he had come across someone hiding in one of the partially built cabins. She had been beautiful, so small in his arms she had fainted obviously very scared and had been living rough for several days. He discovered that he had an instant attraction and they loved each almost immediately, She had been put through hell by her aunt and uncle who had tried to sell her to an older man for money which was how she has found her way into his arms when she had run to stop them trading her like an animal. Cassian has also been to hell and back in the war and his body shows the scars and they are waiting to see what happens when the other shoe drops and they are enjoying getting to know each other. This is a heart felt story and I guarantee that you will love every moment, a great addition to the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Cassian (mmc) Blakely (mfc)
Cassian moved to the mountains with his friends to rebuild an old mining town and heal from his time in the military. He noticed someone had been hiding in their construction zone and found Blakely. She's on the run, injured, and so scared out of her mind she fainted at the sight of him. He took her to his cabin. Now what? They both have a past, and she's currently in danger. Can they make this work?
This one hurt to read. I thought book 2 was rough, this one actually hurt. This one did have a scene that felt like it was a copy/paste. You'll know it if you read them back to back. Also, I don't like that there was no resolution with her family.
This is the third book of the series and in my opinion the best one... I loved the other two books but there's something about a broken hero who needs love and a true partner that just grabs my attention. Cassian is grumpy.. He's not big on smiling or being around alot of people and he thinks he will never find a woman and settle down. He feels like he doesn't deserve happiness... Blakely knows exactly how Cassian feels.. Her life has been hard and so trauma filled.. The people who were supposed to love her are the ones who hurt her and who she is scared of. They made her feel undeserving of love and happiness.. But with both Cassian and Blakely being broken, it makes a person wonder if two broken souls equals something just so right?? I really liked both characters and was so happy with the end of the story! 5⭐ 3.5🌶
I am loving the Love on the Mountain series. Each guy is dealing with something, and every woman teaches them the true meaning of love. These guys are brothers for life, and I love their bond.
𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆.
Wilder started this haven for all the guys to come and join him so they could rest, not worry, and try to heal from all the trauma from the war.
𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒄😻𝒏𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔.
Cassian and Blakely were meant to be together. They were two broken souls who crossed paths and helped each other heal from their pasts. He loved her scars, and I really loved their story. If two people deserved a HEA, it was them.
I absolutely LOVED it!! Once I started I couldn’t put it down! I felt all the feels through the whole book!!! Cassian and Blakely are true soulmates🩷 They healed each other in ways they never knew they could be. What Blakely went through in her life absolutely broke my heart😭 Cassian had me swooning and swearing sometimes in the same sentence lol He has a deliciously dirty filthy mouth and it made the smexy times between them even hotter because of it🔥🥵 I’m completely obsessed with this series! Looking forward to the next one already! Highly highly recommend this wonderful book!!!
These two dinted, damaged and tortured souls are lost, broken and both fighting PTSD in different ways. They both think they have to fight their demons alone, demons that suck more of their soul with every day that passes. But the second Blakely falls into Cassian's arms he sees hope in his future, she brings a light he never expected and needs his protection just as much as he needs to protect her. They see each other with no judgement and no ulterior motives, just as their other half, the piece they never knew was missing. They complete each other in a way they never knew was possible, but is so beautiful and so deserved. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Blakely and Cassian's story is the third in the series where 4 veterans set out to make an old mining town into their own private sanctuary away from the loud world and into the peaceful quiet mountain life. Cassian has scars on his body and heart. He is determined to find the squatter that is living on one of their worksites, what he doesn't expect is to find beautiful Blakely. Taking her back to his cabin, his world changes overnight. He stone heart softens and he is determined to make Blakely his and to embrace the life of happily-ever-after like his two friends. I enjoyed the first three books, I can't wait to meet Elliot.
Cassian and Blakely. Each scarred and scared in their own right. She had escaped from an abusive home life and he had PTSD from his military life. He is 34 with years of life experience and she is 21 with little experience beyond being raised with her abusive uncle and aunt. He is 10 years celibate and she is virginal. He found her hiding and cowering in one of the half built buildings at the construction site, where she escaped to in hiding. Lots of ups and downs, sexy times and love interests. Hevis kind, considerate and patient, she is wary, scared and worried, but despite this, they succeed and evolve in their relationship.
-virgin heroine -dual POV -insta love/lust -H celibate for almost 10 years -no om/ow drama -h(20)/H(34) -short separation - the H suffers from PTSD, he had a nightmare and pushed the heroine away to protect her, he told her that he was too fucked up and didn't deserve her, he was scared bc he knew he could've hurt her, the h chose that moment to tell him that she loved him but he told her she couldn't love him and that he wasn't good for her, they were only apart for a few hours, I didn't like how quickly she forgave him -no cheating or scenes with OP -epilogue: 10 years later - married with 3 kids
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a great instalove romance. It was a short, well written story with a great flow. It was the third book in the series but it could easily be read as a standalone. Cassian and Blakely were both scarred in their own ways and that made their connection even stronger. I really loved reading this story and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Cassian has always been the character that grabbed my attention. Not discounting Wilder or Huxley and I am sure Elliot will be an amazing character as well but Cassian always grabbed my attention. I was thrilled with how everything went down in this book. I am a sucker for puzzle pieces finding one another. Especially when that puzzle hasn’t been well cared for. Seriously enjoying this series. I can see it being one I read again and again.
This story needs help 😔. This story is an insta love novella. Both have their issues. Cassian struggles with PTSD. Blakely suffers from a lifetime of abuse from her Aunt and Uncle. We never learn if her Aunt and Uncle ever find her or if Cassian finds them. There's no cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ever after, but the writing quality isn't what I'm used to from this author. 🧐
Cassian is amazing. That man can do whatever he wants and I wouldn't be mad. The way he loves Blakely and wants to protect her is so good. I loved every second of this novella. It's quick and steamy with little to no drama. I can't wait for the last book on the series.
A great Love on the Mountain book! Cassian and Blakely are two broken souls. Cassian has been on his own since he was 15 and then went into the military. A horrific accident left he and many of his team injured. Blakely had an abusive life living with her aunt and uncle. Both of them are perfect together as a They heal each other nc find love!
They have a sweet and healing love. Love this story. I didn’t get how the uncle and aunt problem was solved. The previous books had the H saving the h from the abusive person. In this story he said he was going to do something but the story never gets there. Cassian didn’t confront the uncle. Or did I miss it?
Blakely and Cassian were such an amazing couple. He was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy and bossy. My only problem with the story was that the end never told you what happened with her aunt and uncle, it just skips to the epilogue. I would have liked some closure with that part of the storyline but other than that, it was a great read.
This book is so so so good! Cassian and Blakely are truly soulmates and it was beautiful. Your heart broke for Blakely having to grow up the way she did but all the pain brought her to Cassian and they healed each other. Wonderful story!
Blakely and Cassian, both have experienced trauma, both are recovering now they have found each other. An emotional and passionate story that did have me in tears at times.
