Holden didn’t set out to betray me… but that’s just what he did.
Twice.
They say history repeats itself. Same Holden. Same me. Same heartbreak and betrayal. Only this time, I’m not the same shattered college freshman who runs away from a fight broken-hearted. I’m not going to fall on my knife, like Juliet. This time, I stay. And I fight.
It’s bad enough that my director is my first love and the guy broke my heart. But now his most recent ex-girlfriend, the stunning Tony-Award winning actress, Missy Howl, is my producer on the show.
I have one more chance to prove to everyone that I deserve this lead role on Broadway. Everything’s on the line: my career, my apartment... and my heart.
I know falling for Holden again would be nothing short of a tragedy, but I can’t help the spark of hope that maybe we can rewrite the script for ourselves. But when it comes to star-crossed lovers, Shakespeare said it best himself: “These violent delights have violent ends.”
One-Click REBEL ROMEO and continue this beautiful enemies to lovers second chance romance that will dazzle you until the last page!
Katana Collins is a USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, novellas, and comic books in a variety of genres. She is most known for her sensual contemporary romances and her wildly popular comic book— Batman White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn with DC Comics.
When she was younger and stole her mother’s Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and attitude and sass. And the anti-heroes who were anything but “Prince Charming.” Forget the knight on a white horse … she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.
An avid animal lover, she lives in Portland, Maine with her kind of mean cat, derpy lab-pitt mix, mellow chihuahua, and very not mellow cairn terrier puppy. Oh, yeah… there’s a husband somewhere in that mix, too.
She can usually be found in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a laptop wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.
She loves connecting with book lovers like herself, and fellow sassy storytellers, so feel free to drop her an email, visit her on her website. She also loves connecting on Instagram, Facebook or in her reader group, Kat’s Kittens!

This picks up where Broken Romeo leaves off, so you really can't read this as a standalone. You may also want to start with Shattered Juliet as that has some extra info that will lead into the story that picks up in this book.
Kate has finally gotten a part in a show that might be her big break on the Broadway scene, the only catch is her ex is the director. Kate has everything to lose, and she feels like she is reliving the play they were in together in college. The story is told from Kate's perspective in the present, and Holden's perspective 5 years in the past during her freshman year and his senior year. Just like in their college days, the current production appears to be mirroring the same antics. Holden has nothing to lose, and Kate is being used as a pawn for others gain and amusement. Holden's politician of a father has been meddling in both the current production, and there are hints that he meddled in their college performance as well leaving Kate betrayed and embarrassed. There are quite a few players that don't want to see Kate and Holden succeed as a happy couple, and quite a few more that don't want to see Kate become the successful actress and performer that she has always dreamed of becoming. Unfortunately tragedy has struck and she is forced to choose her personal life over her career, and she isn't sure who she can trust Holden when she needs someone in her corner.
As I mentioned this is told in alternating POVs and alternating timelines. As Holden's POV progresses toward the final act, we get closer and closer to finding out what really happened to the production of Remy and Julie that they were rehearsing for in college and the betrayal that split them apart so catastrophically. In Kate's POV, there are quite a few characters that want to rip her to shreds and upend everything she has worked so hard to achieve. As she and Holden finally begin to reconcile there are several people willing to stand in the way of their happiness. I am anxious to find out if the show will go on or if our leading lady completely breaks after the final reveal. There are still so many unanswered questions, but I don't think this story will end in complete tragedy.
This book has quite a few heavy moments and some very emotional ones. Kate is forced to face her emotions and vulnerability, while Holden is forced to face his own actions and motivations. There is a lot of angst in this installment, caused by a lot of obstacles placed in the way of our star crossed lovers. There are quite a few supporting players, some good and some villainous.
Like Broken Romeo, this does leave off with another major cliffhanger. When I first started this series I thought it was a duology, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually a trilogy. I got to about the 80% mark and realized there was no way things were going to wrap up in a satisfying way in the remaining chapters. When I got to the final pages I realized there had to be another book because Katana would not do this to us, and indeed there is another book. Ruined Juliet is out in April and Forbidden Romeo the conclusion to the is out in July. I cannot wait to find out what happened 5 years ago between Kate and Holden and what is going to happen present day. With all of these actors around it is sure to be nothing less than dramatic.
Undying love and heartfelt apologies aren’t enough. Not when you’re Katherine Harris, who gets her first big break on Broadway and has the entire world conspiring against her. At least that's how it seems. Collins pulls out all the stops in this next installment of Kate and Holden's road to forever.
It's bad enough that her ex college boyfriend is the show’s producer, but there are a lot of wicked, conniving, bad actors who will do anything to see Kate fail. Unfortunately, little of it has to do with Kate, but she's caught up in a game she knows nothing about, full of power players and petty, vindictive people with no qualms about stepping on someone or using them for their own twisted purpose.
You’ll definitely want to start with the first part of the trilogy, Broken Romeo, and then read your way through so you’re ready for the conclusion in Forbidden Romeo when it drops this summer. I’m hooked into this story 100% and can’t wait to see how everything resolves. Just when I think Holden is redeeming himself, something new pops up, but Kate manages to keep on going. I love watching her grow and become wiser while still holding on to her humanity.
The show must go on, and I have a feeling Kate is going to be a smashing success, both on and off the stage. I’m curious as to what other surprises are in store for her, but I know she'll come out on top. If you enjoy a gripping, fast-paced romance full of drama, emotion and angst, you’ll absolutely love Kate and Holden's story.
What a ride!! Rebel Romeo is the second book in Katana Collins Shattered Hearts trilogy and by far one you wont forget! This story is taking you on a rollercoaster of emotions and twist and turns from the first page until the last (so far). Literally! I cried and wanted to curse out Katana for what she is making these characters and her readers go through!
Rebel Romeo by Katana Collins, is the second book in the Shattered Hearts Series, here we return to the story where Kate is not willing to let Holden destroy her career and her heart again, which will not be easy at all. She continues to maintain that purity of heart and despite everything that happens to her, she continues to help people who are not so deserving of her help, but that does not prevent her from being aware now more than ever of who those people really are. Here we can see Kate repairing her relationship with her family. For his part, Holden continues in his position that he does everything to protect Kate, and we will be able to understand him a little better when we know his point of view of the circumstances of the past. In this installment these two face rivals and enemies who reappear and it seems that history repeats itself. This story is a rollercoaster of emotions, full of angst, with twists and power games that will have you trapped between its pages, with another ending that leaves me on the edge of my seat, I can't wait to see what will happen with these two and see if they will be able to overcome so much adversity and find the path to love. Highly recommended! *Thanks to Katana Collins and Literally Yours PR for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*
¡Altamente Recomendada! *Gracias a Katana Collins y a Literally Yours PR por mi ARC. Dejo voluntariamente mi reseña honesta*

😊What i liked -
✔ Lovers To Enemies To Lovers/Opposites Attract/Workplace/Second Chance. ✔ I am liking Kate more and more. She is definitely a fighter. ✔ I Like Holden but feel bad for but not really a fan of his in this particular part. ✔ Liking the way the story is shaping for its finale. ✔ Liking mostly all the characters.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ I felt the story stretching a bit too much during the second half. ✔ That cliffhanger made me want to fling my kindle across the room.
After reading Rebel Romeo I'm not sure how I feel about that cliffhanger. Again. I'm all over the place, my emotions are a whirlwind I don't want to fall into. Rebel Romeo is fast passed , full off events , plot twists and power games . In the middle of it all Kate is trying to keep her career and I admire her for staying a decent human being and even trying to help people who don't deserve it . The roller coaster of events continues to speed up and crush Kate and Holden from all sides. And they both win some and also loose some . Hits are coming from all sides, rivals and enemies suddenly reaper from the past and history is repeating itself all over again. Holden continues to hurt Kate and explaining that it's for her protection and for the best ,doesn't do it for me. Still think that he has to grow a backbone and to stand for himself and for Kate . He won me a little when he apologized to Kate and was there for her when she needed him. But he couldn't stop all the other players in this game of overpowering from scheming. Although it only shows how petty and pathetic they are. And Kate sees them for what they really are, their games and how they try to use her . And I loved it how she stands taller than before and is fighting for herself. It was a good thing that she cleared the situation with her family . I loved the character development of Nolan and his friendship with Kate and Jill. Holden managed to win some points with me but he's still a work in progress. After more insights from his point of view on the past through the diary entries we got an understanding of how all of them are connected and still reaper in the present . But that one reappearance I didn't expected and I don't believe it to be true or it's Misty's twisted version of the truth so she can get what she wants. Well done , Ms Collins , so well done . And now I can't wait and see how all this will unfold in the last book of the Shattered Hearts trilogy .
Thanks to Literally Yours PR for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.
I have been eagerly awaiting this next instalment of the Shattered Hearts Trilogy. Rebel Romeo picks up where the first book finishes and Kate has been given the part she auditioned for. Again, this one is filled with so much angst and through it all Kate remained a decent and caring person. The amount of twists and turns that almost had my heading spinning! Again this was told in a Dual POV type in a past and present timeline, Kate in the present, Holden in the past. I wanted to like Holden a little more than the first, but he really does have a lot of growth needed and somewhere along the way, he needs to grow a pair. Katana, writes really well, so I found it really easy to get engrossed in Kate and Holdens story! It was hard to see Kate fighting against almost everyone and I just want to see her get what she have been after forever! I am lucky however, that my e-reader is still in one piece because that cliff-hanger!! It leaves you speechless! I love a story where you just don’t know what is going to happen next and this is exactly how you feel with this one! I now am sitting here in anticipation of the next book! Thank you and well done!
What to expect: 💔 Enemies to Lovers 💔 Second Chance 💔 College Romance 💔 Touch Her & Die 💔 He's Her Boss… 💔 Romeo & Juliet Play

Our FMC, Katherine/Kate, has achieved one of her personal goals, earning a the role of Juliet on Broadway. However, there are many strings attached to this role that could extinguish her star before she has a chance to shine. Her college ex, Holden Dorsey, better known to the world as Broadway star, Holden James, is directing his first show, and his girlfiend Missy, who wanted the role of Juliet, is now one of the producers, which makes rehearsals challenging personally and professionally. From the first book, we know Katherine and Holden share a past in college, but some of the details are revealed through flashbacks told from Holden's point of view. We feel his struggle with dealing with his Senator father and the power he wields to protect his family at all costs. Was Kate collateral damage in college or were there forces out to break them apart only to have them reconnect as adults working on the same production. Some of those same influences have returned, but we don't get the full story of all the whys, nor the reveal on all the secrets in this second book in the trilogy. The author is setting us up for the final book, and I can't wait to see how it finishes!
Holy cow, talk about the mother of all cliffhangers!! I was warned that it was a doozy but I still didn’t see that coming!! Rebel Romeo was the second book in Katana’s Shattered Hearts trilogy and must be read in order. It was a fast paced, emotional, roller coaster ride!
Picking up right where Broken Romeo left off, Katherine had to figure out if, and how she wanted to proceed. It would be so easy to give up but her career was hanging on by a thread. Would falling for him again be the best or worst mistake?
Oh Holden…I am not his biggest fan at the moment. I wanted things to go differently, so badly, but he was back to his old ways. Katherine really needed a break, I really hope she gets it. I can’t wait for the next one!! I am sure Katana will have us on the edge of our seats all the way to the end!
This book.... had my emotions all over the place and I couldn't put it down so I finished it within 24hrs I might have stayed up a little late to finish it.. So many highs and lows, twists and turns when you think its calming down and stuff is looking right bam another turn. I loved it!!! Katana knows how to hook you and get you on the edge of your seat. That ending had me going... There were a few times I wanted to reach in the book and strangle a couple of the characters. I can't wait for the next one to see how she has this all play out. Will Romeo be able to save his relationship with his Juliet or will it all finally come crashing down around him.... I for one cant wait to find out!!
This is the second stories in the series and picks right up where Broken Romeo ends. This one will take you through an emotional ringer.
Kate and Holden’s relationship is volatile…they love one another but there are other factors impacting their relationship.
This story fluctuates between past and present…the flashbacks to the past give us the backstory of the characters. To be honest, I was frustrated with both Kate and Holden!
There are so many emotions in this story …happiness, frustration, disappointment and shock. This book ends on a cliffhanger that’s a doozie. Looking forward to the next book.
✨Review✨ *** Rebel Romeo was so good. I loved all the emotions and distrust. Holden was a bit better in this book than in book 1. He is a bit easier to love and his actions make more sense. Kate is strong and brave in this book as well. She stands up for herself so much more which I love. I enjoyed both povs in the story. I enjoyed the twist and turns and all the characters. The writing was well done and the story was easy to follow. The ending was so good and I cannot wait for book 3! *** Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Romance: 🩷🩷🩷🩷 Spice: 🔥🔥 *** Thank you to Katana Collins for the ARC to review. ***
The story picks up right where if left off from Broken Romeo with Holden and Katherine facing off once again. Katherine trying to figure out if Holden has betrayed her again and Holden trying to figure out to handle everything and get Katherine in the end. As it progresses, you get to see the back story from college and what happened. As this story unfolds I couldn't wait and of course the ending and that cliffhanger. I need to last book to see how Katherine will handle everything now. I hope she wreaks havoc on those who have wronged her.
This is the 2nd book in the trilogy and picks up where Broken Romeo left off. I was excited for more Holden and Kate. I enjoyed the way the story flips between the present and the past so we can see how these two got to where they are. The chemistry between them is palpable and the push/pull is intense! Holden still has things to make up for and Kate is holding back for reasons. But I was holding out hope! I really hope they fight the demons from the past! The reader gets a better idea of who Holden is and we see what really happened to them in college. I cannot wait for Forbidden Romeo!
Part 2 of Katherine & Holden’s is just as epic and heart wrenching as part 1. There are great elements that come into focus from book 1 — but Collins definitely keeps the angst dialed up as these two find themselves back in each other’s orbits.
Some details get addressed - others haven’t yet found resolution - and even still new dilemmas present themselves.
Part 3 will hopefully lead us to their full HEA. Because after that cliffhanger — dang it, we need it!
Rebel Romeo by Katana Collins is book Two in the Shattered Hearts Trilogy. This continues the story of Kate and Holden. Their story started in the first book 'Broken Romeo'. But in addition to that book there is a previous book called 'Shattered Juliet' that is a Prequel of sorts to their story. So, you should read them before starting this book for sure. Kate has a chance at Broadway but it would be working with a past ex. This book does end with another cliffhanger.
Ah! This book took me on the wildest emotional ride, and I loved every second of it! I Can't wait for Forbidden Romance to come out. What a fantastic second installment in the trilogy!
My heart broke for Katherine in this book. Missy Howl is back in the picture, and she still isn't getting a straight answer from Holden.
Holden really frustrated me in this book. So many times, I wanted him to talk to Katherine and tell her what was actually going on, but he didn't.
I really liked Nolan in this book. He changed for the better and became her ally. In this book, you really start to see who the major players are and how there are more games at play than you first think.
Old faces reappear in this second installment, and I can't predict what is going to happen next.
The cliffhanger had my heart drop, but I can't wait for the next book.
Another twisted angst filled story for Kate and Holden. Book 2 starts off at the cliffhanger of Book 1 so this cannot be read as a standalone. Kate is still set for Broadway, but Holden is stepping back from the production. There is a lot of posturing going on in the background from Holden's father to his ex Missy taking over. Kate shows her grit in not letting them steamroll her, but she still dreams of Broadway and a HEA with Holden. Holden is just letting his father get in the way of what he wants which is frustrating as I want him to "man up" and go for Kate. More clues from their past are slowly unveiled but we readers still don't know what tore them apart back in college. The latest cliffhanger has me wanting to throw my kindle. I will patiently wait for the next installment.
