Day 43: Action Comics #276 (May 1961):

"The War Between Supergirl and the Superman Emergency Squad!"

Supergirl and the Superman Emergency Squad tangle with one another while they both try to assist Superman out of a jam.

"Supergirl's Three Super-Girlfriends!"

Supergirl travels back to the 30th Century and reapplies for membership to the Legion of Super-Heroes. Feeling lonely and isolated in the 20th Century, Supergirl becomes girl friends with Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl and Triplicate Girl. She meets Shrinking Violet, Sun Boy, Bouncing Boy and Brainiac 5. Supergirl and Brainiac 5 develop a mutual crush. Upon returning to the 20th Century Supergirl feels less lonely now, knowing that she now has super-powered friends where her superpowers are not a secret. She also has TWO romantic admirers: the Atlantean Mer-boy, Jerro and now, the far descent of the villainous Brainiac, the good Brainiac 5.

Trivia: While thinking to herself, Supergirl let’s the reader know she has a photographic mind.

*I am reading one Supergirl aka Kara Zor-El (Earth-One) story every day, starting with her introduction in May 1959 in Action Comics #252, until her final appearance in October 1985, in Crisis on Infinite Earths #7.
