Sizzling hot!
I read the first book in this series a while back and I really liked it. It has taken me way too long to get to this one and I was really looking forward to it but I was surprised at the beginning that it was not nearly as dirty as the first book. Especially given that the name of that first book was Dirty Player and the name of this one is Filthy Player. Of course it had been a while since I read the first book, but I remember a bunch of dirty talk and a lot of intimate moments between Football legend Oliver Powell and Shannon, the sister of the up and coming star Quarterback Beaux Hale. But this book sure does heat up later on!
This book is about Beaux Hale after he has led his team to a Super Bowl win and is getting tired of the kind of girls that are interested in him only for his fame and his money. Beaux takes an interest in a waitress at a bar near the stadium his team plays at. Paige is the one girl who always seems exhausted and though she has looked at Beaux with interest, she has turned down his advances in no uncertain terms.
When Beaux sees Paige behind the desk at an auto body shop after his truck breaks down one morning he sees it as his chance to get to know her more. Paige is wary of men because she takes care of her Dad who has some health issues after having a few strokes. Every guy she has tried to date has kicked her to the curb as soon as he found out that her Dad will always come first.
Beaux understands because his mother was sick and died when he was in high school and he wants Paige to trust him. So he takes things slow, but even so Paige is skittish and finds it hard to trust. While Beaux just wants her to realize that he can be someone she can lean on to take some of that burden she carries so heavily. However since nobody has ever done anything like that, it is hard for her to believe anyone would want to. Especially someone like Beaux, a super bowl winning darling of the NFL.
This book really does end up living up to its name once Paige decides to start trusting Beaux. The romance between the two of them is not only hot and steamy but about as filthy as can be and I did love every minute of it. One thing I can say about Stacey Lynn is that she can write some smokin’ hot love scenes. I certainly will be reading the rest of this series. I think I will give this one five flames and five stars for the romance and the story.
I also like that she was always having to take everything on her own shoulders, working two jobs, taking care of her dad, worrying about creditors, making dinner, doing the laundry, etc. and he came in and helped her take some of that load off her shoulders. Where do I get a guy like that?

4 ”Beaux and Paige” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I pushed her hips into the mattress and leaned over her. “Stay still.”
“I can’t.”
“You’ll try if you want to come soon.”
I sealed my command with a kiss, ravishing her mouth before I pulled her hands down to her sides and held them in mine.
Another amazing read in this delicious sports romance. After reading the first book, I became this author’s instant fan. This one surprised me in a totally good way. As much as I loved Oliver’s intensity, there’s something equally attractive when a guy is sweet and playful which is how I’ll describe Beaux Hale. Oh....He was alpha male too where it counted but it was his down to earth and caring personality that made me fall in love with him.
We meet Paige who is a struggling waitress at a bar where Raleigh riders visit often. She works two jobs since she has the responsibility of taking care of her handicapped father and these days she’s really feeling the pressure. She ends up serving Beaux, even though the attraction is mutual she just doesn’t have time to put into dating especially a hotty like himself. She has some issues and I clearly understood where she was coming from.
”That’s what people do when they love one another. It’s not a list to keep track of, Paige. I give to you when I can, and you give to me when you can. It’s us, leaning on each other, and trust me, babe, you don’t give to me in money, but you give yourself and that’s all I need.”
His arms surrounded me tightly, no hesitation, he just pulled me into his body and held me while I whispered apologies.
Beaux, on the other hand, doesn’t give up so easily. He was not only attracted to her physically but he felt a connection too. He could see just how responsible and caring and attentive she was. He is all too familiar with the struggle after watching her sister go through the same. The way he broke down her walls with patience and so much love, it was heart warming to watch. I also loved watching how he took care of her, sharing her burden.
I was in love with Beaux Hale. Beaux Hale was in love with me. I still couldn’t even think the thoughts without blushing like a pre-teen with her first crush, but that’s essentially what Beaux was to me…my first real love.
Paige could be stubborn at times. All her life she’s only depended on herself so when someone else came to share her burden especially financially, it was hard to let go. It never got annoying though..thank god. When she started to accept help, her life got much better. The gestures Beaux made were so beautiful and emotional, it only made him a more perfect boyfriend.
I pressed my hand to my chest. “I can’t calm my heart. It’s racing.”
“Like I said the other day, it’s because I’m the best.”
“And arrogant.”
“Funny and sweet.”
“Cocky.”
“Humble and kind.”
“Okay.” I shoved him off me, our grins as wide as could be. “Enough. I get it. You’re the best. Happy now?”
His smile fell. Gently, he brushed my hair off my face with his thumb, cupping my cheek. “I think I am.”
Their relationship grew. I loved their banter. The chemistry was sizzling between the two. Although the steam was low compared to the first book, it was still just as hot and dirty. Add in a little stalker drama into the mix, this made for a very entertaining and sweet read.
This series is definitely worth checking out. ♥️

The more time she spends with Beaux, she quickly falls for him as he totally understands and respects her devotion to her dad. It didn’t take long for Beaux to fall in love with her as well. With all the media spotlight on Beaux, will he able to balance his career and his personal relationship with Paige?
Filthy Player is a sports romance that is interconnected with Dirty Player but can most definitely be read as a standalone. I loved the Filthy Player as this book incorporated heat, romance, family, and raw emotions. Stacey Lynn definitely orchestrated the perfect play by play in Paige and Beaux’s relationship as she did great showcasing the balance of sex,love and life. So if you are looking for a sports romance that was filled with lots of heart and charm, then I highly recommend you to read this book. I hope Stacey Lynn will continue to write more on the Rough Riders players because I am already hooked.

➳Finished in one sitting because I could not get over how great and sweet this story was...
➳Football players tent to have the stereotypical outlook of being tough and rough around the edges... Not Beaux Hale... he is as sweet as pie and anything sweeter in between. Him and Sam not only have instant chemistry, but so much more to share and conquer the world with. His past and her present title have brought them together to become one of my favorite couples out there for sure.
➳I didn't even know there was an original novel to this book, but an original with different characters. I guess Stacey doesn't consider it a series but I hope she keeps writing more and more about the rest of the Rough Riders football players. I adored them all with their co-existing sweetness <3

Spoilers ahead
Beaux goes to the restaurant where the h works and makes a craptastic ass of himself trying to get her attention. She dumps ice water over is head for his efforts
His car breaks down and he goes to the garage which turns out to belong to the h and her dad
Beaux is grateful for another opportunity to speak to the h and from there pursued her relentlessly
He's a genuinely good guy who came from humble beginngs and never forgot his roots
From the first book I wanted to read about Beaux and he didn't disappoint
The h did some pushing away but she wasn't overly stubborn
The stalker angle added some suspense to the plot
I really enjoyed this one
H was a manwhore before the h
h had relationships where guys broke up with her because her focus was on her sick dad, she hadn't had sex in a while

Man, oh man....I loved this book! Filthy Player was nothing like I expected, but in the best way possible. Passion, heartache, and devotion are just a few of the remarkable qualities this book possesses. The story was exceedingly original, displaying the true grit and hardships that can often times become lost while establishing relationships between the characters. The comedic aspects make this book very entertaining, but it's the underlying essence of love that truly empowers this story to go from great, to utterly fantastic!

I love books where the hero just plain loves the heroine. Not all the time, as sometimes a little angst and drama can be fun, but it really works well in this story. I think because Paige has a lot to deal with in her life already and it is appealing to read a story where the romance removes the stress instead of adding to it...at least mostly.
Beaux is a player, and he makes less than a positive first impression on Paige, although he redeems himself...mostly. Then they have a second meeting and he is not taking no for an answer when it comes to starting a relationship with Paige...even though she is not totally on board.
I love that this dealt with the fears that they have. And, I love that they both come with "my life keeps me from being able to be in a relationship" fears. I think we all come with these and it was great to see them dealt with in a way that felt ultimately very real.
I enjoy Stacey Lynn. Her books are well written, and steamy, and you feel the connection with the characters, which makes them engaging.

I’m so overcome with feelings for Beaux and Paige’s story! I wasn’t even 20% into FILTHY PLAYER and I already had tears streaming down my face. This has to be my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE read from author Stacey Lynn! This sports romance was so full of heart and heat, I never wanted it to end! Star quarterback and waitress/mechanic - doesn’t that sound like an AMAZING love story?! Not only was this the sexiest story to date from this author, but it was one of the absolute SWEETEST sports romance I’ve read this year!

There was SO MUCH TO LOVE about this story! It starts off with a hilarious meet-cute - one that does not go all that well for our young cocky quarterback. But only when Beaux turns up the charm and makes Paige forgive him, that’s when all the FEELS come into play. Paige’s family life is so heartbreaking and I know many readers will be able to relate to her strife. Her struggle and her loyalty to her father, prevent her from truly living her life. Beaux catches on to that rather quickly and tries his best to make it easier for her, but Paige has walls so thick and pride so high that she does NOT make it easy for him at all. There is something about Paige, something that he can relate to, something in her eyes that prevents him from ever giving up hope for their relationship. OMG! I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here because EVERYONE needs to experience their journey. It’s heart-wreching, sweet, swoony, charming, and just downright beautiful.

Everyone from the lead characters to the supporting characters, they were all spectacular and unforgettable. FILTHY PLAYER is book #2 in Ms. Lynn’s Rough Riders Series, but it can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read book #1 yet, but after devouring this book, I have no doubt that I will go back for more!

I do love sports romances especially with a six feet four inches of muscle ripped quarterback called Beaux.
If you read Dirty Player this is Shannon’s little brother Beaux who meets Paige who works as a waitress in the Bar and grill next to the Stadium. Paige has had bad luck with men, so when he asks her for a date she shoots him down. Then after overhearing his conversation she throws an ice bucket over his head.
Beaux really likes Paige and wants to show her who he really is. When things begins to heat up between them and the sex scenes are hot and sexy. What was better was seeing the love and trust grow between them. Beaux personality really shines through when he is with Paige.
I really enjoyed this romance, and I’m going to own up to putting Beaux on my Book Boyfriend list. I really enjoyed this romance it has plenty going on and when it finished I had a big smile on face waiting for the next in the Series. This is a standalone set in the same world as Shannon and Oliver’s book Dirty Player.

Loved it!! Beaux is so sexy and adorable at the same time. Paige and Beaux have made my heart melt multiple times!
Paige had to give up her life to come back home and care for Sam, her father. After two consecutive strokes, Sam is no longer the same man and Paige will do everything to provide him the best. Even though she has two jobs, Paige struggles to make ends meet. Needless to say, that she has no time for herself and for dating!
When Beaux speaks to her at the dinner where she works, she hates him straightaway. Beaux is the epitome of sexiness, power and success! He made it clear that he wants in Paige’s pants… but...
Beaux has the reputation that goes with being the Quarterback of the football team, team that won the Super Bowl!

Beaux is something else, I fell in love with that man, “jeez, woman. Get your head out of the gutter. I’m not always thinking about ***.” She flashed me a look and I quickly amended my statement. I raised my hands. “Okay. When I’m around you, I’m pretty much always thinking about ***, but that time, I wasn’t talking about it honestly.” Beaux sometimes has to just take charge of things, “good. Now stop fighting me, let me effing help you, and kiss me again.” I really enjoyed this book, I loved Beaux the man was a sweetheart.

Spoiler alert: the player isn’t filthy. Beaux is sweet and charming and sexy and EVERYTHING. I loved this book so hard! The heroine is fantastic too - Paige is fierce, independent, and protective. They are so perfectly matched in a way that I've been missing in the books I've read recently. And this book hits all of my bullet points for a five star read: likable/relatable characters, an Alpha male, strong heroine, a plot that involves more than the actual romance, a little suspense (though the big baddie in this one was a bit obvious to me), a bit of tension, HOT sexy times, and HEA. I love that with little exception, Beaux and Paige COMMUNICATED with each other when there was an issue. They both behaved like mature human beings that cared for and respected each other. It was so refreshing - no games, coyness, or other such time-wasting BS. I read the book in one sitting and didn't want it to end. While it can be read as a standalone (and that's how I read it), it features Beaux's sister Shannon and his team mate Oliver, who are the couple from the first book in the series, Dirty Player (which is only 99 cents on Amazon right now, so why wouldn't you just one-click it?). So, it's safe to say that while this was my first Stacey Lynn book, it won't be my last, and it won't be difficult to find her next book to read since I currently have 7 more on my Kindle as I type! The story had such a flow, the writing was tiptop (including the dialogue), and the characters were just phenomenal. I may have to add another author to my must-read list. I give Filthy Player 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

If you are looking for a sports romance, then Filthy Player is a good option. There's nothing really special about it: girl meets boy and they fall in love. There was a bit of drama, because a stalker suddenly starts sending Beaux disturbing letters, but all of it was really predictable.

I think this book has officially become my favorite book from Stacey Lynn and that’s saying a lot because I’ve really enjoyed all of the books I’ve read from her! I’ve been looking forward to more Rough Riders since I read Dirty Player last year and I was hoping that Beaux would be next and he did not disappoint! This was an addicting read, I didn’t want to put it down and enjoyed every second of it. Don’t let the title fool you, while it’s plenty hot, this one has so much heart, get ready to swoon big time, and even has a great suspenseful twist that I thoroughly enjoyed. It really had a bit of everything that I love in a good romance, I really think it is some of Stacey Lynn’s best work to date!

Beaux Hale is used to women throwing themselves at him and he’s earned his playboy reputation but the day he walks into the restaurant where Paige Halloway is a waitress, he only has eyes for her. Paige can’t deny how attractive Beaux is, even if her first encounter with him didn’t give her the best impression, but she isn’t looking for a man, her only concern is taking care of her father and keeping the bill collectors at bay. Beaux isn’t used to being turned down and he’s as amused as he is frustrated that Paige continually shoots down his advances. But he’s nothing if not persistent and when he sets his mind to something he always succeeds, he’s known for keeping his eye on the prize and right now the only prize he wants is Paige. And he isn’t above playing a little bit filthy in order to get what he wants.

“And arrogant.”
“Funny and sweet.”
“Cocky.”
“Humble and kind.”
OMG Beaux Hale was the PERFECT book boyfriend! He exceeded any expectations that I had for him. I loved that even though he was a successful and rich athlete that he was still so down to earth and humble, he had to fight hard to get where he was and he doesn’t let himself forget that. He certainly had the alpha male, protector thing going for him but he was also so playful and caring and devoted, such amazing qualities that provided endless moments to swoon over! I love a good push and pull in a romance and Beaux and Paige certainly had that. Fiercely independent and used to taking everything on her own shoulders, Paige didn’t make it easy for him but I loved that it only made him more determined. He was so incredibly sweet with his desire to just let him take a little of the load from her. Then, of course, there was the amazing chemistry between them. As hot as it was, I loved that their playfulness and fun banter carried into these moments as well. They just worked so well together and it was such fun seeing them fall in love.
I’d have my hands full with this woman. Good thing I have big hands.
There are some ups and downs but nothing too terribly angsty, but even their disagreements were great! Paige could be quite feisty when she had to be and Beaux was so wonderfully unapologetic. Then there was the suspenseful twist that I really enjoyed. It only helped showcase the lengths Beaux would go through to keep those he cares about safe. Seriously, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this guy! And if you read Dirty Player you’ll be happy to hear that Oliver and Shannon make appearances in this book as well. It’s always good to catch up with past favorites! I truly loved everything about this book and I hope we get more from the Rough Riders in the future!

Paige Halloway est une jeune femme adorable et très investie dans la vie de son père Sam depuis que ce dernier a fait un second AVC le laissant paralysé du côté droit . Paige ne ménage donc ni ses efforts ni sa vie pour lui permettre de vivre au mieux, . Outre son travail en tant que serveuse , elle s occupe également du garage et de la comptabilité de ce dernier. Elle met évidement la main á la pâte pour les petites réparations . C est simple, elle ne vit pas et s est fermée depuis longtemps á tout sentiment amoureux. Il faut dire que ses précédentes expériences et notamment sa relation avec son ex Spencer ne peut pas lui donner envie de passer du temps avec un homme. De plus, il faut avouer qu elle n a pas de temps à consacrer à la gente masculine car le seul homme de sa vie est son père . J ai adoré ce personnage féminin fort car elle ne recule devant aucune difficulté pour être proche de son père et il est évident qu il sera toujours sa priorité number one.
Aussi quand Beaux Hale entre dans sa vie , elle n est pas convaincue qu il ait une place à ses côtés . En effet , c est un joueur de football américain donc il ne peut m'être qu intéressé par sa carrière et son tableau de chasse. Pourtant plus elle apprendra à connaître le jeune homme plus elle se rendra compte qu elle a faux sur toute la ligne . Paige va devoir apprendre à accepter la main qu on lui tend et l'aide qu on lui propose car à vouloir tirer sur la corde, elle pourrait y perdre plus qu elle n a à y gagner. Saura t elle faire les bons choix ? Ce qui lui manque est aussi un amie qui pourrait lui prodiguer des conseils typiquement féminins. Hannah est sa collègue serveuse mais elle n est pas assez proche pour qu elle puisse s épancher .
Beaux Hale semble être le héros parfait et il ne semble avoir aucun défaut . On cherche très longtemps pour lui trouver quelque chose de négatif et on finit par se dire que c est trop beau pour être vrai , qu'un homme ne peut pas être un sportif de haut niveau humble , pas du tout arrogant et plein d empathie . Sa célébrité et son argent ne lui sont pas montés à la tête et il sait clairement d où il vient. Son vécu a forgé l homme qu il est et on ne peut qu en être admirative . Sur le terrain , il travaille en coopération avec son capitaine et futur beau frère Oliver Powell et il est vraiment très talentueux sur le terrain . Leur équipe est en lice pour une deuxième coupe du Super Bowl et j ai aimé cet aspect de la romance .
Mais en dehors du terrain , c est encore mieux . Dès qu on le voit á l œuvre avec les autres personnages , on fond littéralement. Alors oui il prend peut être trop de directives mais ça le rend encore plus attachant et séduisant. La séduction qu il met en œuvre pour obtenir un simple rendez vous avec Paige est juste adorable et nous colle un sourire aux lèvres . J ai notamment aime découvrir son passé qui trouvera des échos dans celui de Paige et c est sans doute pour ça qu il la comprend si bien . Il sait ce que ses choix impliquent et le voir interagir avec Sam ne peut que nous donner du baume au cœur . Saura t il conquérir Paige ? Ne fera t il aucun faux pas ?

This is the first book that I have had the chance to read by Stacey Lynn and I enjoyed it immensely. I now need to go back and read book one in this series. Filthy Player can be read as a standalone and although it has characters from the first book in the series, I did not feel like I was missing out on anything. When I read the blurb for this book, I knew it was right up my alley. Sports Romances are one of my favorite genres. Filthy Player is told in dual POV, something that I really enjoy.

Paige and Beaux as a couple are awesome! I love how strong willed and protective Paige is of her father and that she wants to be able to care for him all on her own, no matter how hard she has to work to keep their heads above water. Asking for help just isn't something that she knows how to do. That is until Beaux comes into her life and shows her just how much help he can give her, but not because of the dollar signs attached to his name. Beaux's character is also not immune to hard work and determination. Raised by his older sister, he knows what it is like to struggle financially as well. The chemistry between the two of them is hot and Beaux's protective side is all alpha...something that I love!
Filthy Player is a sweet, sexy, emotion filler roller coaster ride with a bit of suspense thrown in. It can be read in a few short hours and will have you hanging on to every word. With the new season starting up, the team take some downtime in a local sports bar and it is where Beaux meets gorgeous Paige Halloway. He’d seen her waitressing in the bar before and she had something about her that drew Beaux to her. When the team sit in her service area Beau takes his chance but he didn’t recon on the sassy mouth or the brush off. Women usually threw themselves at him but Paige was throwing him a challenge, a challenge he cannot resist.
Paige is a hard worker. Having to give up her hopes of a career she has moved back to her hometown to look after her Dad after he suffers a stroke. Holding down two jobs is a hard slog but she needs to be able to support her father and the medical bills. It’s whilst doing her waitressing job that she comes into contact with the Raleigh Rough Riders and the sexy Beaux Hale. Her first impressions of him are to ignore his come ons but when he starts to show empathy and understand what she is going through she thinks she has him wrong and he is a nice guy. But when she overhears him saying something to his team mate she reacts in a most unexpected way! Thus begins the challenge of Paige trying to push him away and Beaux fighting to show her who he really is.
This was an instant hit from the start and already having met Beaux in the first book, I knew the woman for him would have to be strong, just like his sister and Paige definitely fit the role for him. I instantly liked her and her depth of responsibility she had for all around her, even her grouchy boss at the bar. But what I liked most about her was that she could accept when she was wrong and didn’t go all out to avoid or annoy Beaux to push him away. The build-up of their relationship was hot and sexy, even before the main show began! The intensity between them from the start was spellbinding.
This is one of those books that has you gripped from the start, in fact I read it in one sitting. I loved everything about it – the romance, the passion, the family background and even the sub plot of a stalker! Overall another great addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next! Five Stars.

Filthy Player is the kind of feel good romance novel that keeps a perpetual smile on your face. Beaux is a cocky football quarterback who has the talent (he is just coming off a Super Bowl Win) and good lucks to back it up. He can have his choice of women, but one look at Paige and no one else will do.
Paige has no time for a man, especially a man who most likely has a parade of women in and out of his bedroom. She's too busy trying to keep her house if take care of her father. Beaux is hard to avoid though, especially when he has put his mind to making Paige his. He is not a quitter and the stakes are too high for him to give up.
I really liked Beaux. He comes off as a jerk at the beginning, but once he sets his mind on Paige he is so incredibly sweet. I always like stories where the cocky male lead meets his match in a woman who won't give him the time of day and this had an adorable sweetness to it I just ate up. Stacy Lynn always writes enjoyable easy to read romances and this series really hits the spot.

Ich bedanke mich bei Netgalley und dem Plaisir d'Amour Verlag für das kostenlose Rezensionsexemplar des Buches. Ich gebe hier meine unabhängige und unbezahlte Meinung zu dem Buch ab.
Für mich ist es das zweite Buch dieser Serie, welches ich lesen durfte und wieder wurde ich nicht enttäuscht durch die Autorin. Die Bücher sind keine reißerischen Liebesromane, eher ruhiger und inniger und sie gehen ans Herz. Zwar hat man auch hier immer einen kleinen „Störfaktor“ als Bösewicht, aber nicht so wie in anderen Büchern. Hier ist es eigentlich eine kleine Ergänzung in einer liebevoll erzählten Geschichte und trägt eigentlich nur dazu bei die Handlung ein wenig voran zu treiben, aber nicht um das Geschehen zeitweise komplett in diese Richtung zu lenken und das gefällt mir sehr gut.
Die Charaktere in dem Buch sind liebevoll, charmant und authentisch dargestellt und man weiß gar nicht genau, wen man eigentlich am liebsten mag. Irgendwie mag man sie alle und schließt sie in sein Herz. Das gesamte Umfeld um die Protagonisten besteht aus sehr freundlichen, liebevollen und aufmerksamen Personen, die der Geschichte noch mehr Tiefe, Herzlichkeit und Wärme geben.
Gab es was zu bemängeln? Hm eigentlich nicht so wirklich, auch wenn ich mich kurzzeitig gewundert habe wie aus einem Aufreißertypen so ratzfatz ein Beziehungstyp wird. Quasi in einem Augenblick. Aber das soll es ja durchaus geben, besonders wenn diese Person wahrscheinlich das erste Mal abgeblitzt ist und merkt, dass man sich schon anstrengen muss um zu kriegen was man will.
Immer wieder merkt man aber auch die Gesellschaftskritik am Leben in den USA und den Zuständen für die normale Bevölkerung in den Büchern. Man bekommt immer wieder Hinweise darauf, dass das Leben für die nicht so Priviligierten kein Zuckerschlecken ist und wehe man wird auch noch krank. Ich finde, dies baut die Autorin wirklich behutsam aber dennoch mit Nachdruck in ihre Romane mit ein.
Von mir gibt es eine klare Leseempfehlung für das Buch und daher 4 Sterne.

If you want to read a simple love story with many steamy sex scenes, this is a book you should read. It’s the story of a football quarterback who falls for the waitress in a bar near the football stadium. If you want a meaty story where the characters have issues and need to overcome obstacles or overcome childhood traumas, this is not it. Both characters have fairly regular lives who are just attracted to each other and start a flirtation. He is not affected by his fame and she is not impressed by his fame, and that is what attracted them to each other.
Beaux is the quarterback of the Rough Riders football team, he was raised by his mother and older sister and they lost their mother due to a long illness, then Shannon (older sister), took over the job of parenting until Beaux graduated college. There is a previous book that tells this story, where the tight end of the team is Shannon’s fiancee. The important issue here is that Beaux has no issues, except his love for the game and his dedication to improve each day. He's also tired of women throwing themselves at him, only because of his money and fame.
Paige studied journalism and was working in a radio station, at the bottom of the ranks and slowly going up, when her father had two strokes that left him partially paralyzed. She resigned, moved back home and took over the car mechanics garage that her father and her grandfather before him had owned. Due to the huge medical bills, she was also working part time at the Ride’Em Rough Saloon, named like that due to the nearness to the Rough Riders stadium. She’s exhausted, and has no time for boyfriends because of all her responsibilities.The night she met Beaux, he arrived with other team members and he acted a little douchey with her and she dunked an iced water pitcher over his head. And the rest is history. For the first time in Beaux's life, there's a girl who is not impressed by him or his fame. For the first time in Paige’s life, there is a man who doesn’t mind that her first priority is her father, and that she doesn’t have a lot of time for dates. He knows and understands what it is to have an ill parent and the dedication it takes. They are like a match made in heaven, right?
There is no drama, no surprises in this book, no big scenes. Paige is a little hesitant in getting too involved because she was waiting for Beaux to get tired of her unavailability but that didn’t happen. About three-fourths into the story is when things get interesting and I started passing the pages faster. I will only say that there is some danger in getting involved with a famous person. Before that, it was a simple nice sweet story. There is no message, no learning, no big obstacles where the characters evolve. If you want a story where you don’t have to think, just enjoy many sex scenes, then this is your book.

Das ist der zweite Band der Raleigh Rough Riders Reihe. Ich habe bereits Band 1 gelesen und fand diesen sehr gut. In diesem geht es um den Quarterback Beaux des Teams und dem jüngeren Bruder von Shannon aus dem ersten Band. Die natürlich im Buch nicht fehlen und kleine Parts haben.
Paige ist eine wirkliche tolle Protagonistin, sie ist für ihre Familie und Freunde da. Sie hilft wo sie kann um diese zu unterstützen. Sie arbeitet im Familienbetrieb und nebenbei als Kellnerin um über die Runden zu kommen.
Beaux gibt sich vielleicht von außen wie der große Play Boy, aber dieser ist er ganz und gar nicht. Er gibt nicht mit dem an was er hat und das macht ihn sehr liebenswert und authentisch. Er weiß wie schwer es im Leben sein kann und zeigt viel Verständnis. Er hat mein Herz berührt und mich dahin schmelzen lassen. Jemanden wie ihn will jede.
Die Geschichte rund um die beiden war berührend und tief und hat mich vollkommen gefesselt. Die Anziehung zwischen den beiden konnte man förmlich spüren und anfassen. Das ganze wurde untermal mit authentischen expliziten Erotikszenen die genau ins Geschehene reingepasst haben.
Auch in diesem Band war der Schreibstil angenehm, flüssig und ließ sich gut lesen. Mir hat der 2 Band noch besser als der erste gefallen.

This is my first in this series and sports romance by Stacey Lynn but she's done multiple sub genres well and I like most of the ones I've read. She can write football well enough, the balance of sports to romance here was good. This team players are pretty cool, they know they're got what it takes to win. I'm very much interested in the other guys stories. I'm very much entertained with this one, not too heavy easy and fun read that held my interest all the way.
Beaux was not what I expected but that doesn't mean he wasn't great. In fact he is such genuine honest guy, he can be a jerk at times but owned up to it if he knows he's wrong. Yes he can be alpha but in the right tines it's not overbearing. He knows where he came from and despite his star quarterback status a down to earth good guy. Also so helps he is darn hot and his confidence is sexy, add sweet and funny. Absolutely the best on his own way and hard to resist
Paige is such a tough cookie, she worked hard. She loves her dad and she knows what's important, loyal to those in her circle. She sacrificed a lot and deserves good stuff. She can be stubborn in accepting help but Beaux's relentless. This guy goes after what he wants, he can see something that's worth it. Funny how they seemed unlikely but had so much in common and understood each other. One thing that tied these two together was simple honest goodness and family. Of course having that crazy chemistry that plays off each other helps too.
While it was a fantastic read, there was a minor detail error that didn't make sense to me but I let it go. These two people who worked for what they have appreciated everything and knows the value. They had their fair share of real life problems and constraints to deal with like any. Being burned before makes one Paige weary but Beaux will prove his worth, he gave her the push needed. They figured things out together, which is wonderfully refreshing to see.
Will go back to read one now and hope there will be more books in the series coming.

This is my first in this series and sports romance by Stacey Lynn but she's done multiple sub genres well and I like most of the ones I've read. She can write football well enough, the balance of sports to romance here was good. This team players are pretty cool, they know they're got what it takes to win. I'm very much interested in the other guys stories. I'm very much entertained with this one, not too heavy easy and fun read that held my interest all the way.
Beaux was not what I expected but that doesn't mean he wasn't great. In fact he is such genuine honest guy, he can be a jerk at times but owned up to it if he knows he's wrong. Yes he can be alpha but in the right tines it's not overbearing. He knows where he came from and despite his star quarterback status a down to earth good guy. Also so helps he is darn hot and his confidence is sexy, add sweet and funny. Absolutely the best on his own way and hard to resist
Paige is such a tough cookie, she worked hard. She loves her dad and she knows what's important, loyal to those in her circle. She sacrificed a lot and deserves good stuff. It's typical to think a professional star athlete would be arrogant and overly self-assured. Beaux Hale isn't really an exception to this with his public face. He's the quarterback who will lead his team to the Superbowl. He takes a liking to a waitress at their local watering hole, and plans his playbook to get her to go out with him.
The one thing Beaux doesn't take into consideration is Paige turning him down flat. Much less dumping a pitcher of water on him afterwards. Shocked she actually did that Paige pleads to keep her job because she absolutely can't live without it. There are a number of things happening in her personal life that she needs all the financial resources she can garner.
Paige is a very proud person. She doesn't want to ask for help. She will take care of her responsibilities without the help of others. When she and Beaux start dating he just wants to help make her life a lot easier by helping her financial situation. He has more money than he could ever spend. Why not help Paige?
Except Paige is proud and doesn't want his help. It's a sticky situation to navigate. Much like Page is navigating being in a relationship with a famous professional athlete. Which, as you can imagine, comes with some stalker fans.
You'll find some suspense and love included in this book. Stacey Lynn has fashioned a great counteraction to the word player. I enjoyed reading about these two characters. This book read super fast for me. It keeps you engaged and wanting to know what happens next!

I have a weakness for sports romance, particularly football romances. When the opportunity to read this book came up I jumped at the chance and I'm glad I did. This book was sweet, fun and once I started I didn't want to stop.
I respected Paige very much. I understood her pride, her desire to take care of her father on her own. She doesn't make time for herself so that makes dating hard. She has walls and watching Beaux deal with them was great. I understood Paige and found her to be very relatable.
Beaux ? Well I just adored him. I love his pursuit of Paige. His determination and sweetness (his sexiness didn't hurt) won me over. Did he make the best first impression? Nope, but boy did he fix it.
There's a connection between these two, whether Paige likes it at first or not. Their sexy times are, well, sexy. But it's the real life stuff that makes them shine. Seeing them together navigating what it's like to actually be with one another was immensely satisfying. It's not always sunshine and rainbows for them and I liked that. I liked seeing the reality of their lives play out.
I thought the pacing and plot of this book really worked. The writing flowed and once I started reading I didn't want to stop. This isn't my first book from Stacey Lynn and it definitely won't be my last. I recommend this book.
