I’ll admit—I didn’t know much about pottery going in, but Made in Saskatchewan won me over completely. Based on the life of Peter Rupchan, a Ukrainian pioneer and potter in northeastern Saskatchewan, the book offers much more than just a look at ceramics. It’s a heartfelt, beautifully told story about resilience, creativity, and what it means to leave a legacy. The pottery becomes a rich, textured backdrop for a life shaped by hardship, hope, and quiet determination. A warm and eye-opening read that left me with a new appreciation for both the art and the man behind it.
