You Are the Placebo Meditation 1 - Revised Edition

Rate this book
Dr. Joe Dispenza has created two meditation CDs—featuring different music—to accompany his book You Are the Placebo.
On this longer 56-minutedisc, Dr. Joe walks you through Meditation 1: Changing Two Beliefs and Perceptions. After introducing the open-focus technique, he then moves you into the practice of finding the present moment. When you discover the sweet spot of the present moment and you forget about yourself as the personality you have always been, you have access to other possibilities that already exist in the quantum field. That’s because you are no longer connected to the same body-mind, to the same identification with the environment, and to the same predictable timeline. In the present moment, the familiar past and the future literally no longer exist, and you become pure consciousness—a thought alone. That is the moment that you can change your body, change your environment, and even create a new timeline for your life!

As a lecturer and educator, he is driven by the conviction that each of us has the potential for greatness and unlimited abilities. In his easy-to-understand, encouraging, and compassionate style, he has educated thousands of people, detailing how they can rewire their brains and recondition their bodies to make lasting changes.

In addition to offering a variety of online courses and teleclasses, he has personally taught three-day Progressive Workshops, five-day Advanced Workshops, and seven-day Week Long Advanced Retreats in the U.S. and abroad. Starting in 2018, his workshops became week-long offerings, and the content of the progressive workshops became available online.

He’s also an invited chair of the research committee at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia.

As a researcher, Dr. Joe’s passion can be found at the intersection of the latest findings from the fields of neuroscience, epigenetics, and quantum physics to explore the science behind spontaneous remissions. He uses that knowledge to help people heal themselves of illnesses, chronic conditions, and even terminal diseases so they can enjoy a more fulfilled and happy life, as well as evolve their consciousness. At his advanced workshops around the world, he has partnered with other scientists to perform extensive research on the effects of meditation, including epigenetic testing, brain mapping with electroencephalograms (EEGs), and individual energy field testing with a gas discharge visualization (GDV) machine. His research also includes measuring both heart coherence with HeartMath monitors and the energy present in the workshop environment before, during, and after events with a GDV Sputnik sensor.

As a corporate consultant, Dr. Joe gives on-site lectures and workshops for businesses and corporations interested in using neuroscientific principles to boost employees’ creativity, innovation, productivity, and more. His corporate program also includes private coaching for upper management. Dr. Joe has personally trained and certified a group of more than 70 corporate trainers who teach his model of transformation to companies around the world. He also recently began certifying independent coaches to use his model of change with their own clients.

Dr. Joe received a B.S. from Evergreen State College and his doctor of chiropractic degree from Life University, where he graduated with honors. His postgraduate training covered neurology, neuroscience, brain function and chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, and aging and longevity. For more information go to www.drjoedispenza.com

Believing has its value, whether religion or placebo is still debatable. We all do belive in something.
While I do strongly belive that the best cure is to want to be cured I still wonder...
I gave 5 stars to this book for making me ask myself the following questions.
Why do we seek a doctor's help when we are not well?
Why do we even invented this science of medicine when heal is in our heads?
Why someone would become a doctor when medicine science is so lame and powerless with respect to healing.
Are doctors just lame healers with the only role of prescribing painkillers but not real remedies?
You, yes you why are you running to a doctor when you feel not well,? read this book once again.
Why we hold doctors to such high regards when all it is is just placebo?
Are doctors hypocrites or are we the believers ?
Medicine doesn't have all answers but so far I see one undeniable truth: we all call doctors when not well.
However reading this book may suffice! Or not. I don't know. Life is a balance between what works and what doesn't for each.
But mostly: Be good, be well, don't get sick. Placebo may not be enough. Doctors may not be enough.

The beggining of the book joe talks about his experience where he had an accident kn the bike and overcame it by thinking the right positive way.

You’re the placebo get you’re mind right within and see the results

Patients got cured by the right positive visualization, even voodoo with some believe of shamans people can transform and feel theirself again.

You’re expentancy defines you’re results as so you think you gonna overtrhow with progress and achieve, you gonna do it. Think about studens test that got better by placebo black vs white

Our body has the own needed phramacy, wich everything can be healed.

You create you’re own all in the mind. As within so without

Every neuron has 60gb of storage to let you function.

Neurotrasmitters
Acth,

Doing the same can get depressing, we are limiting our potential

Out of meditation the human peeson becomes no one wich is a state of feeling that frees up stress

By any change the mind wil having to speak and say that you shouldn’t do it, that’s tempting to go back to that as so reprogram it. Don’t trust that feeling of desire.

I’v tried the meditation form of Joe dispenza, it feels transforming it’s really in an NLP state you reprogram you’re sub-concious system, you awake in a new body.

A decent introduction to meditation and the power of suggestibility, especially for those new to the concept and with no prior knowledge of chaos magick/law of attraction. However, it lacks any particularly standout insights. I suspect that its popularity may stem from the mere fact that it was written by a "Dr.," seemingly lending legitimacy to otherwise dubious concepts of chaos magick and the Law of Attraction. It's disheartening to think that some people must rely on this appeal to authority to believe in such ideas. There are better books on the subject, like 'Initiation into Hermetics' by Franz Bardon and 'Liber Null.'

Really interesting book which showed me what really hides behind curtain of "Think positive and positive things will happen". Only thing that I can give as critic is too much stories about other people cases. I always had a feeling that author push his agenda on me which is not necessary.

This book is the practice of meditation as a form of healing, not by belief, but by experience. However, the need of emotions as an essential part of this healing process made me drop one star, somehow, I find it strange.
